This is a review of historical work done by Neumann plumbing. I'd assume the quality of their work has improved in the recent past, otherwise I doubt they would still be in business. We purchased a brand new home 19 years ago. All plumbing done by Neumann. Shortly afterwards, we had Neumann come in to install a boiler to run under-floor heating in the basement. Every problem we have had at this house has been a plumbing problem. Here is a list of issues we've encountered. I'm probably missing some things. * Furnace room flooded the first time the sump pump came on because the pipe joints to the outflow had not been cemented. * Washing machine wall drain box not sealed, causing water to flow down the inside of a downstairs wall. Mould removal, drywall replacement, redecorating required. * Leak from an upstairs shower drain pipe due to crack in honeycomb-walled low quality pipe. Ceiling damage in hallway. * Leak from an upstairs tub due to use of plumber's putty as a sealant. Ceiling damage in laundry room. * Major leak from upstairs shower due to use of plumber's putty as sealant. Extensive damage to drywall and ceiling in 2 rooms downstairs. Mould removal, extensive repairs (including drywall and trim replacement) and major redecorating required. * Toilet incorrectly installed - broken upper flange ring unevenly seated onto lower flange as a result of poorly-cut hole in tile, and putty used to support upper flange ring. Screwed on with 4 deck screws which rusted through. Toilet base had never been properly secured, leaking from bowl after putty dried out damaged wall and ceiling in room below. * Boiler for under-floor heating not installed to code. Vapour condensed on cold chimney, ran back into boiler. Rusted through the metal chimney vent and rusted out the entire boiler within 6 years of install. Carbon monoxide and other gases venting into furnace room through corroded vent pipes. Entire system ripped out by a different plumber and new boiler installed to code. I am well over $10K out of pocket and have put in hundreds of hours of work due to shoddy workmanship, carelessness and use of low quality materials. This is an ongoing issue and we never know where the next problem will occur.

I called about seven different plumbing companies to try and get quotes for a job. Almost all of them would not offer any kind of quote over the phone, even if they advertised like they did. You have to pay them just to come out (usually $50-$90), and then they'll tell you the fee because they "have to see the job." I only found two companies that would be transparent about their rates over the phone. Neumann's rate was far more competitive. The person I spoke with (James) was transparent about the hourly rate and the estimated time it would take to do the job. They could also come out within a few days, whereas all of the other companies I spoke with were booking at least a couple weeks out. When the day came the job was completed quickly and without issue. The invoice had no surprises, I paid just what I expected based on the estimate. So if you need any work done and you don't want to be scammed with an unfair price, look no further. I would definitely use Neumann again in the future.

THEY DO NOT Specialize in sewer gas The guy they sent out didn’t know what he was doing. He blamed it on everything he could have after being there for 2hour (DIDN’T FIX THE PROBLEM) 1. couldn’t find the pipes gonna have to tear down the walls (just had actually look and you could find them) 2. Went on a ladder to look “didn’t go on the roof” took pics saying the pipes were frozen (they weren’t just snow from wind NO ICE) 3. Blamed it on the new front load washer (2 months old) 4. Septic must be full (cleaned in September 2022)

James answered on the first ring and spent 20 minutes with me on the phone diagnosing my plumbing issue for FREE. He wasn't greedy to get the business rather he tried to help me figure it out first. That seems like an honest person to me. He said if I can't figure it out then he'll send someone out and he was also VERY forthright and upfront about what it would cost. Additionally, he's obviously very knowledgeable about plumbing. It's nice to deal with such a professional.

Huh, I don't believe the other review site, rhymes with 'help'. I used Neumann at a different location about a year ago and called them this time out of habit. The service was on-time. The technician was efficient and friendly. There was a clear explanation given for what had happened, the problem got fixed, and I was given some (obvious, in retrospect) guidance in how to prevent the problem in the future. I've recommended them more than once to friends.

I have been using Neumann Plumbing for over 20 years, for a different kind of plumbing issue. That should tell you enough about the company. Dale...he is my plumber. He is the best not only in this company, but I think in the country too. He is extremely knowledgeable, his quality of work is outstanding and his service is excellent. He will always find a solution to a problem. I highly recommend.

I have been using Neumann Plumbing for last 12 years and their services are excellent, affordable and professional. Dale installed a new kitchen faucet and unclogged and repaired a bathroom sink. He also went above the work order and fixed a slow drip and made toilet flush properly. Dale also returned the next day with a set screw to fix the loose faucet handle. Highly recommend!!!

Very satisfied. The gentleman that came to fix the leak under my sink and remove a garberator was very professional. He was very nice,efficient and professional. He explained everything as the work was in progress. I am so happy with his work. I will be calling Neauman Plumbing for all my plumbing needs. Highly recommend this company.

Never used them personally but know people that have and have seen them in action. Very professional and from what I've seen. They do a very good and reliable job. When it comes to plumbing I'd rather spend the extra $$ rather than have major issues down the road because somebody "thought" that they knew what they were doing.

Service excellent.Called and next day there break of dawn had hot water tank installed. Best rates in town. Would recommend them. Know what you want, they will do it or recommend better option which will save you money in the long run. Kudos to the guys and gal at Neumann plumbing thanks to all for hot water once more.

I had Dale come from Neumann this morn he was on time, very professional cleaned up any mess that was made when he was clearing the pipes. I will be calling shortly to have some other plumbing done . Very reasonable and helpful with other things and that was excellent. Thanks again Dale!!

Rick did an outstanding job installing a primary sump pump and a non electrical backup pump - along with other plumbing eg. Sink and faucet hook up, etc. back up was a complicated procedure and every step was explained - knowledgeable and courteous - will use again

This service was extremely professional and knowledgeable, and taught me how to care for the plumbing in a friendly and kind manner. I was not charged for extras and appreciated the integrity in the professionalism in the service that was provided.

I've used Neumann Plumbing many times...basically anytime I have plumbing needs. I've also recommended them numerous times. They are extremely prompt at getting to you, friendly, and do not overcharge for things that are not necessary.
