"Have not been to the Parade since the good old days of mid week Escort Cup footy in the late 70's"
"Absolutely the best SANFL Oval there is"
"Using this oval for the women's afl is a great mistake"
"Not the best place to watch the SANFL football if you wanting to get out of the weather into the grandstand with the Huge ugly ball net between you and the oval that stays up all game, toilets are tiny and underground not the most comfortable place to visit"
"Norwood football oval is a great Oval to watch SANFL but one mat down for the club is there bench seats special there orange seats are very hard on back and bottoms maybe think about upgrades knowing that you're trying to keep your history alive maybe change your seats otherwise great experience"
Have not been to the Parade since the good old days of mid week Escort Cup footy in the late 70's. Went last week to watch my beloved Tigers play the Redlegs and by halftime wondered why I bothered. Bays had slipped to 7 goals down and I had to listen to a ball by ball running commentary by a very loud and excited Redleg supporter. However a shift to a different part of the ground turned my fortunes into an exciting second half come back and a day to remember. A bit of first half pain became a mammoth of full time gain. Go Tiges☝️
Absolutely the best SANFL Oval there is. Plenty of seating in the outer and in the stands although some views from the stand behind the Southern goals are restricted and the upper tiers can be unbearable on hot days. Get there early if you want to park close to the ground or be prepared for a bit of a hike. Beware Norwood council parking inspectors - they are quite zealous and nothing puts a downer on a great day out like a $50 parking fine.
Using this oval for the women's afl is a great mistake. I nearly didn't come this week because last time no seats were permitted in the oval. I did come early enough to get a seat in the stands but might not come again. Thebarton oval is superior and last years games were a family event 10 of us. The Norwood match was so bad it is only my sister and I who came today the rest are not interested.
Not the best place to watch the SANFL football if you wanting to get out of the weather into the grandstand with the Huge ugly ball net between you and the oval that stays up all game, toilets are tiny and underground not the most comfortable place to visit. Not the best footy experience in the SANFL
Norwood football oval is a great Oval to watch SANFL but one mat down for the club is there bench seats special there orange seats are very hard on back and bottoms maybe think about upgrades knowing that you're trying to keep your history alive maybe change your seats otherwise great experience
Nice footy oval but its cheaper to go across the road better coffee hotter too and food is cheaper too... There toilets are a little too dirty and no come cleans them when a game is on so not very covid safe and no one listened to the covid rules all that much so way to relaxed for me...
Facilities need to be better!!! No chairs were allowed. Had to wait 1/2 hour to go to the female toilet only to have no toilet paper. Absolutely disappointing!!! My grandparents will not be able to attend these games. I'm not a fan of standing in the sun all day getting burnt either.
Women's Div 1 Grand Final - long queue at the sole ticket booth - many people signing in physically rather than via the recommended app compliant with COVID policies. Restricted boundary access due to development works. The Coopers Hill drinks outlet only sold Carlton
An iconic SANFL. New lights are outstanding. The smaller ground gives an intimate feel. Just a great place to enjoy the footy. The only jarring thing is the distracting video advertising along the boundary fence. Can make it hard to see players, especially at night.
As good as I have seen it in years . I supported Norwood for years ,had a beer with Macca. Car park ,lm a support worker and we walked a fair way. Some business's could open their parks for charity of course , companion cards for show if needed .
Best Suburban Oval by a mile.Full of great memories. The spirit of past champions is almost palpable.Dissapointed by the new development as I always wanted it to stay as it was. Not a realistic view I realise progress must occur ..Great Place .
Came here to watch a local football game. It's a nice place with a variety of areas to sit or stand. A few places for food and beverages with over the top pricing. Better to byo, but there are plenty of alcohol outlets if your prepared to
Great experience at Norwood oval /Coppers Stadium Norwood - they new bars and facility is probably the best suburban ground I've seen - state of the art for a local ground- great atmosphere to watch football at
Worst SANFL oval in Adelaide. Too narrow. Lousey parking. Main stand is not on western side but in the pocket and behind the goal posts. Guess you can not expect any more from a club like Norwood.
I had a fantastic day at Norwood football oval,Cooper's stadium the only problem was that they should improve Thier P.A./ sound system as it is hard to understand the announcer and his commentary
We were there to watch the female AFL, Adelaide Crows vs Brisbane Lion. 11000 people were there and only 3 portaloos . Not a pleasant experience when you little boy need queue up....
After walking half way around the oval to get to a bar that sold Smirnoff Ice then to be given captain Morgan PLEASE Norwood football club put on RSA's that know their alcohol.
Worst place I have ever been to watch AFLW. Terrible security staff rude disrespectful. No disability access to the grand stand. No consideration for elderly patrons.
The atmosphere is electric the staff are exceptional the grounds are clean you even get more hot chips for your buck than at other grounds a great place to be
Great boutique oval but you have to wait 25mins if you order hot chips by which time your drink will be hot capacity 11000 so get earlier as not many seats
Home of the Mighty Redlegs(sanfl). Steeped in tradition crossed with family flavor. Must watch home game when you visit The Parade .Street parking only.
Great local oval with lots of play areas for the kids and amenities everywhere. Good clean toilets and family areas away from the booze drinking yobbos
Because i support norwood and my oldest daughter got to play for norwood girls team 10 to 12 yr olds and scored her 1st point not bad go the leggies
Lovely Oval. Old time charm with lots of covered seating and standing sitting on steps area. Lines for food and drink during a game not so good
Beautiful old buildings. I love these grounds. A variety of grandstand seating or up on the lawn. A great oval to take the kids to watch footy.
Older style ground. Convenient to main shops area. Not a large variety of food options inside the venue but externally there’s plenty around.
Shouldn't have events on Saturday evenings. Absolute nightmare to get parking and doesn't have adequate public transport as an alternative
The best football club there is. A very well presented oval with all the facilities needed, easy access for all, and very helpful staff.
Norwood Oval has excellent family- friendly match day facilities and a stunning clubrooms restaurant and bar. Highly recommended.
Been to this oval a few times now watching a grandson play in under sixteen for Norwood. Good food, good seating great football
Beautiful oval, but not a great viewing ground, because of all the old heritage architecture, a lot of posts block the action.
Good ol Redlegs! This place is Coopersville. Best beer in SA by miles! Coopers everywhere at every turn... loving tbis place!
Great ground... great atmosphere... easy access to food and drink service... easy access to toilets... clean establishment...
Overall pretty good Oval, turf is pretty nice although slightly spongey and the change rooms do what they need to do.
AFLW crowded, standing only on worn out terraces. Crowd booing the opposition off the ground at half time. Terrible.
..Good Experience!! ... Sorry Crows Girls... Not a good game. Yes I would return to see other matches …
Oval was in great condition. No shade to speak of for the people in the outer. Amenities weren't up to scratch.
Always enjoy coming to Norwood oval for the local footy. Just disappointing I've never seen my team win there.
Go the legs! Nothing beats SANFL footy and having a kick on the Oval with the kids during the quarter breaks.
No where near enough food and drink stalls open for a very hot day. At least the footy was a high standard.
Food was horrid microwave pies and pasties not even hot. They put prices up for substandard overpriced food
Absolutely freezing there and don't sit in the front row of the stand as the fence is right on eye level.
An old Adelaide stadium a bit passed its used by date, but a part of the Norwood football clubs past.
Limited food and drinks options, but you certainly feel like your at local footy when you're here.
Great venue for the Gather round, just needs more toilets and another screen at the Southern end
Best place to watch aflw. Great atmosphere & close to city. Ground size suites the women's game.
Toilets are disgusting. Not what you expect at norwood. ?? Where is your council money spent
Fantastic upgrades to the oval and lighting. Always great atmosphere to watch the local Footy.
The Fort is one of the best grounds to watch footy from. Home to our Mighty RedLegs ❤️ …
Bit squeezy getting around the oval. Parking hard. Home of Norwood, so horrible place …
Needs to upgrade their seating and facilities. Good viewing from members grandstand though.
Allways liked Norwood oval traditional SA football club . Produced some great footballers!
Great Suburban Oval to host a Gather Round fixture. Good Facilities watched a good game
Classic suburban oval. Great to go see a local Sanfl game. Close to city and transport
Cold, poor parking, not that great of a ground and just wasn't that great overall
Great day at the Footy today , better than AFL, faster with better Umpires …
Norwood had a good win. Covid made entry slow but no-one can be blamed for that.
Great bbq food , great atmosphere under lights , awesome venue to watch football
Gullies grand final played and wone washed down with a beer or two Awesome day.
Good stadium, lots of options on game day for getting a drink and snacks.
Great place to watch footy. Fantastic atmosphere. Good coffee & burgers.
Good day saw grandsons la Crosse team win medal presentation by Premier
Enough of everthing for a wonderful time seeing the women play football
Love the stadium . Old school nuce buildings and was a good AFLW game
Friendly atmosphere but not a great place to watch football …
Don't ask a security guard or look for help they are all useless.
Fantastic, great history there and atmosphere is always amazing.
Love this historic suburban oval that's stood the test of time.
We went there for a outdoor cinema, beautiful time with family!
For an afl league club the toilets were absolutely disgusting.
First time for 30 years to the oval & saw a great tight game.
Great meals. Fantastic footy viewing in the new Clubrooms.
Great location for AFLW and way too small for AFL games
I do not like going to Norwood, as parking is terrible.
Football history at its best. Great new function room.
Average facilities. Very limited shade viewing spots
Beer at $8.00 a bit expensive. Great place and team.
Great game for aflw great atmosphere family friendly
Went there with my daughter to watch womans footy...
Dump. Shouldn't host AFL games during gather round.
Love this place. Centre Norwood and easy to get to.
Awesome atmosphere and great ground to watch footy.
Love being down on the norwood oval. It's so cool
Nice place to see sports and a casual drink after
Beautiful weather, great crowd and a close game
Had a great day at the footy, Crows supporter.
Dilapidated old oval with close to zero shade
I love this iconic oval, so much history here
It could do with an upgrade already, come on.
No disability parking had to walk along way.
Good to get back to grass roots footy ground
One of the last of the great suburban ovals.
One of the few great suburban footy ovals.
A nice boutique stadium but hard to park
Great place to watch local SANFL footy.
Best oval with best football matches.
