Although renovations are in the works at the time I departed from DVO to MNL I can't say it's among my favorite airports in the country (Far from it), though appreciate the staff working here for being helpful to mother which makes me feel mix about giving it a negative review. However, I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt for now as in the early stage of renovation similar to the situation with GES back in 2017. So I'm hoping when I travel through DVO in the future it will be a better experience. However, if I have one complaint it would have to be the international arrival when disembarking after a flight from SIN on Scoot Air I was disappointed at the arrival hall as it looks like a pig pen or medical ward than something that welcomes you to the "Crown Jewel of Mindanao" hope this changes soon as we transition to the post-pandemic era of travel.

Flying out to Cebu from the Davao International Airport. Still undergoing renovation but service is very good, fast and efficient. Checking in was a breeze because we have already done it online. We were told to go straight to the pre-departure area just by showing our e-boarding passes and ID's. Restaurants and souvenir shops are available, and what's nice is that, all concessionaires are locals. No franchised brands. Outgoing guests can still enjoy local cuisine and delicacies before leaving. Clean restrooms, courteous airport employees, wide parking, gang chairs all over for waiting passengers. Artworks/paintings of local artists are on the walls. Very nice display of the region's culture through these paintings. I can't wait to see the final look of the terminal when renovation is complete.

Just arrived from a long connecting flights and my luggage wheel was broken in transit. The next thing I need was a luggage cart for my 2 suitcases. There was only 2 available carts and the one I got was broken, one reason why nobody was using it! What I observed were baggage handlers everywhere! All luggage carts were in the parking lot outside the building. Useless things. This is an international airport but no carts available for arriving passengers. I see the lack of management and what is that departure fee for? Management needs to look towards improving the airport services! It seems there’s lack of maintenance and efficiency issues with service for the passengers both local and tourist.

Good small/medium airport so quite easy to navigate and not too crowded. The lounges are quite reasonable. Not many shops outside or inside though. Very clean and green all around. Still have no working elevator after months in domestic departure. They should fix the elevators really especially from domestic departures. I was told it has not been fixed for months now which makes it very difficult for wheelchair users - they have to be travelled around the international departures area and taken back to domestic. Other than aircraft bridge they do have a ramped entrance to the aircraft which is easier for wheelchair user though.

A small but self sufficient airport. The checkin counters are clearly earmarked for different airlines. The second level is for security check and departure gates. There are shops and restaurants on both levels. The airport offers free WiFi as well. There is plenty of seating near the gates. Manila domestic airport has a lot to learn from smaller airports in the Philippines. The arrival area has 2 baggage carousels. There are rental agencies available should you need assistance. Grab taxis are always available from the airport which is very convenient. Thus airport makes travel to Davao very comfortable. Keep up the good work!

at the moment in big reconstruction. the staff is not trained very well. at the security check for the gates I asked afront if there are restaurants available next to the gates and they said no only a coffee. the more I wondered that there are restaurants, shops and lounges next to the gates. sorry, train your personal better then I will be able to give a better rating the next time. beside of thst they are more strict than on other airports in the philippines with allowing tobig or drinks to pass with you at the securtiy check. so drink it before or you have to leave it with the rubbish...

Two fully booked delayed flights in a row, two airlines and this will fill this airport with passengers over its design capacity. Gate 6 AC units can not cool down the place. What is good is, we were transferred to a Gate assigned to international flights. Still there are no enough chairs to accommodate passengers. Cebu Pacific provided a Mc Donald meal for every passenger. Davao airport is under renovation, only 1 elevator functioning at the International departure. If so happen that you will enter and exit on this area, be ready of your identification cards or documents.

Less option for food esp 24hrs open stores Pasalubong should be bfore check in counters instead of after check in counters esp Davao is known for durian. And needs to be checked in. ATM inside the airport not just outside. NO TV monitor in the hallway. Gate 6,7 and 8 are sharing the same monitor and it's blocking the passway going to the Gates. Causing people traffic. No concierge for general questions. No free wifi.. Badly needed esp for delay flights or need for online rebooking not everyone has free data

It is nice to be back. Haven’t been to an airport in awhile and it’s refreshing to see that Francisco Bangoy International Airport is undergoing repair. Though small in comparison to other international airports but this one is sufficient and very easy to navigate. It can get crowded at times but there’s plenty of seats, charging ports and the restrooms are clean. Food and souvenir shops are spread generously on the main hallway to the departure area and the displays are evidently Mindanao.

Security is tight which is a good thing. Check in at airline counter was swift and efficient. There are many restaurants and cafes. There’s a clinic as well which is not common in other airports. But they didn’t have enough wheelchair for my mom so it was very challenging for her to walk from the check in counter to the gate. No easy-access free internet. You have to register first, etc etc. In other countries wifi is absolutely free and easily accessible by all passengers.

Davao International Airport, the happiest or saddest place depending if you're arriving or leaving. Immigration officers are far the friendliest, more welcoming than in Manila. There's also less people, granted that it's not as big as the one in Mnl and not as modern as Cebu, the service from employees makes up for all that. Be informed of the P784 departure fee for International departure. Bathroom is clean and well-maintained.

Airport isn’t ready for big international flights. From the simple availability of trolleys around the airport on peak hours to cater for bulk passengers to the possibility of passengers congestions in luggage pickup of only 2 conveyors available to cater bulk passengers and the availability of shops around. Looking forward for a bigger internationally competitive Davao International Airport in the future.

Air-conditioning is good. Staff are friendly. Food concessionaires are fairly priced. CR is clean. I do hope there will be more commercial spaces to accommodate fast food and other business in the airport. As of this writing, this airport will be renovated. Looking forward to see the new look soon.

I would categorize this airport as local airport although there are two international airlines that fly into Davao, namely SIA and Qatar. The shops and restaurants only sells and serve local product. For Muslim, there is a small praying room on the 1st floor near the international departure.

Theres a road outside the runway vicinity that allows people to park their cars and kind of stay and watch the arrival and departures of planes. Perfect for families to just unwind and have a little picnic, there are no street vendors so better bring your own food & snacks.

Francisco Bangoy International Airport also commonly known as Davao International Airport, is the main airport serving Davao City and Davao Region in the Philippines. It is the busiest airport on the island of Mindanao and the third busiest in the Philippines.

Although I do like the bells and whistles of let say Incheon (South Korea) or Narita Airport (Japan) nothing beats simplicity most times and dare I say Davao Airport Philippines is your basic third world style in and out Airport ...simplicity at its finest.

Small and efficient airport to handle the crowd travelling to Davao. Looks very neat and well maintained. Airasia, Cebu Pacific, Philippines airlines and Singapore airlines flyover here. Currently feb 11,2023 airport is under renovation and development.

  • Miriam Orque

Clean and well maintained international airport. Staff are knowledgeable, honest and efficient. Plenty of parking space. Food and beverage outlets are on the second floor before the gates. Numerous seats to choose from at the gates as well.

  • Alex Abrea

Limited seats at the boarding gate for the waiting passengers, yet a lot of sleeping passenger consuming 2-3 seats or even a row. Paying for terminal fee yet the carts are limited, blaming to large influx of passengers? Not a viable reason.

  • Danielle Militante

Clean, tidy, lots of food choices. Great sweeping views and metered taxis for arrivals, tons of souvenirs for departures (I am not kidding, I have never seen an airport with so many souvenir shops before ). …

  • Karen Laurico

The airport is not that huge so it is easy to navigate. It is clean and several trash cans are visible anywhere. The staff are friendly and helpful. You can buy many pasalubongs in the store in the second floor.

  • Rodcel Justin Pante

To be honest, i like provincial international airports more than NAIA. Davao airport is smaller but more people friendly and clean. Would come to this place again

  • Charry Eden Lipay

The airport is very clean and the place seems so safe. It's not that big airport but it's easy to get familiar with. Vehicles like taxi are easily accessible.
