Lynn from this location should be fired immediately or barred from interacting with customers. My friends and I were waiting alongside another customer next to the service deli to get a cold pasta salad. There were multiple signs that said the service deli closed at 5pm, and we were there at 4:30pm. Us and the other customer were waiting for roughly 7 minutes to be served until the sushi lady went to the back and told the deli workers that we were waiting. Before she even walked into view, we heard Lynn complaining, “why don’t they read the sign right in front of them?” She came into view and simply pointed at the sign and then said, “why don’t you read the sign?” To which we responded, “we did read it, it says you close at 5pm and it’s not 5 yet.” Lynn then scoffed and said, “I don’t care, it doesn’t matter we are CLOSED.” This made us and the other customer waiting with us quite shocked and upset. It is ridiculous that she either doesn’t know the details of her own signs, or simply doesn’t care to abide by her own sign. That is extremely unprofessional and not impressive. The other customer asked her for her name and told her that he would report her “helpfulness” to management, to which Lynn gave her name and scoffed out, “you do that, you’re welcome.” We thought this experience was absolutely absurd because Lynn had genuinely no right to act so rude and disrespectful to us when the sign clearly displayed that the service deli was still open for another 30 minutes. I’m honestly quite shocked that Lynn has managed to retain her job (or any job) with her unattractive and ghastly attitude. Lynn, just because you lead a wretched life does not mean you are entitled to subject poor customers to your harsh and scathing words. This location would benefit greatly if Lynn was prevented from interacting with customers ever again, for she clearly cannot maintain even the most basic of formalities when addressing customers.
They still have lines for covid the only supermarket doing this. Today, I went to get a few items and three lines were almost all scanned, I waived the next person who ignored me I walked in the line and was told to wait. I believe prior to covid , we could see a line and wait in line?? Self Service is always packed and prices are going up . I could not wait went to CVS and got all my toiletries for less and their self serve is easy to use. Finally , I moved all prescriptions to Pharmaceutica in twn, they are nice, they complete a transaction within 20 min. I went to get Claritin today at Vons and 20 min later , I was the only one in line?? This is clearly a pretty poorly managed store and if their bosses read this, its simple ...make the buying experience difficult and we will go elsewhere forcing you to make it up in prices increase. Since when is a CVS is less than Vons?? I think the store is average I think their selection is average they're often out of items the deli is terribly mismanaged from a food-service handling perspective in my opinion seems to take a long time and lines and the store management doesn't seem to make time a priority parking is a little tight but it's your basic Vons. Unfortunately the Vons management here is average and so you get an average store it really should be much better for the La Jolla Community I wish your Whole Foods would move in and that would probably close this store. La Jolla Village Ralphs has a good deli, good selection i go there now .
I visited this store and spoke with a supervisor named Mary. I asked her is she could have a pack of cigarettes at a particular register so that I can purchase them at checkout. She advised me that this could not happen and she was not able to leave the self checkout. So when I got to the front of the line I asked for the cigarettes. The worker had a hard time figuring out which specific cigarettes I needed so I asked the supervisor who was ringing me up if it would be ok if I went over to the cigarette cabinet to assist. As the worker was showing me the different varieties, Mary who stated she couldn’t leave self checkout suddenly found a reason to leave self checkout just to advise the employee he’s not allowed to give the cigarettes to customers, which he wasn’t doing in the first place. I just find it very unprofessional to have that conversation in front of me as if I can’t hear. I understand that not very many black people shop at the Vons in La Jolla but I totally feel I was being racially profiled. It was absolutely not necessary to guard cigarettes when I’m publicly announcing that I need them. Usually if someone wants to steal they’re not going to ask for help. However, maybe I’m crazy. Either way I won’t be visiting this location again.
This is a great grocery store to stop by and get your shopping list taken care of. For never being in a Vons before, I was able to easily navigate and find everything I needed with no problem. My favorite part of the store was the GORGEOUS floral department that immediately distracted me from my groceries lol. Not only did they have a large selection of florals but the aroma and quality was impressive! See, I’m distracted again. The fruit and vegetables were very fresh and quality. They also have options, if you’d like the produce raw or if you’d rather the fresh pre-cut packaged produce it’s all there! Since we are staying in a condo we went for the packaged cut veggies because they looked great and were only $5. The fruit was stacked beautifully and I saw very few blemishes on even the most delicate produce which is impressive. Not a fruit fly to be seen. The entire store was clean and organized. Meat department looked very fresh. The bakery had a ton of tasty desserts to choose from and fresh breads and pastries. You really couldn’t go wrong here. We have traveled quite a bit and it’s not often we find a grocer that is so welcoming to visitors. THANK YOU, for offering such a nice establishment to the community.
Always great people, but by people, I mean the people you may meet, or be helped by, these folks are terrific. The people I can vouch for are the people behind the scenes. For example, the people who prepare the deli things such as potato salad. I had a very bad weekend, I went to urgent Care on Friday morning, then I went to La Jolla Vons to pick up my prescription. The pharmacy department is absolutely terrific they have been more than helpful and a credibly timely. They had the prescription that I was picking up ready for me in 20 minutes... After picking up the prescription I decided to pick up some potato salad as I have been craving it. I bought the loaded potato salad something made by Vons deli. Within an hour of eating a small portion of the potato potato salad I became violently ill with salmonella poisoning. I spent two hours violently retching and another hour with equally bad diarrhea. When I went to bonds to complain I spoke to the manager who listened politely even though I was agitated.. He then refunded my 5.99 for the potato salad and gave me another $5 gift card...Not much sympathy, and a $5 card.. that amounts to a dollar 66 per hour of hell. Do not buy the loaded potato salad......
We stopped in this evening. When we walked in the store, about 15 carts were lined up it wedged in between the wall and first check stand so that customers could not get one. I saw an empty cart at the end of a checkstand, so I said to my wife "Just get that empty one." She walked over to get it, then she walked outside and it took about a minute before she returned with a cart. I asked her what happened and she said the manager told her that cart was "for employee use" and she needed to get a cart from outside. Now "outside" didn't mean from a line out front, but meant she had to walk out into the parking lot and retrieve one! HELLO Von's manager...it's not your customers job to retrieve carts from the parking lot...it is YOUR JOB. Good thing it wasn't me he told to go outside because I would have been happy to tell you where you could shove your "employees cart." Apparently "customer service" is an ancient dead language to Von's. Whatever...I sure won't return. There are way to many good groceries in the area.
It’s no wonder this store has a low rating because the staff and manager are incompetent. A store can have the best product to offer but if your staff is not knowledgeable and service oriented you lose. In addition a simple transaction to have items delivered resulted in not receiving order and staff can’t find it in system but at the same time, Von’s charged my bank card. Yes when this information was brought to the manager and staff the response was, well that’s the world we live in today. Not only fraudulent practices, not even a good cover up. They even said that they didn’t know how to reach their corporate office, stating we don’t have that information. Rude is a given at this store in LaJolla but fraud??? Watch your bank accounts customers. I was able to close my bank account after the 1st charge they ran from the LaJolla store, with no product delivery, before subsequent charges went through. Management still not willing to investigate stating “that’s the world we live in today!” Cc:Von’s Corporate
The workers looked miserable :( None of them were warm and inviting. I visit La Jolla a handful of times a year. I'm trying to find a grocery store I can go to when i visit. It was my first time at this store. I ordered from the sandwich area and the food serve area. My mac n cheese had bread in part of it and red stuff on some of the noodles. It also didn't taste good. I threw it away. I got an expensive 1 layer cake for my daughter, and we both didn't like the frosting. Frosting is usually her favorite part. As a single mom who tried really hard to give her a good birthday, I was so bummed she didn't like the cake at all. It wasn't buttercreme, whipped, or cream cheese frosting. I can't even describe the taste properly, and I bake from scratch. If i had the time and baking supplies, I would have made it myself. Not sure I'll go back next time I'm in town.
Not helpful. And during busy times is way too chaotic. Went to a different vons location and the staff was MUCH more helpful. Not the only review to mention the service quality of the staff. Unfortunately, it seems even after years of multiple negative customer service remarks this vons still can't seem to get a handle on the meaning of quality service. Too bad there's not a lot of options for groceries in LJ. Guess i will be traveling to UTC vons from now on...Seeing as the UTC location actually know quality service from poor service, unlike LJ vons... disappointing... very disappointing... only getting 2 stars because they have a few items that are hard to find at other major grocery stores. Update Often going simply for convenience Keep getting moldy produce!!!! Items perpetually out of stock or running extremely low stock by midday..
I am visiting La Jolla from Austin and am not surprised to see that the Von's here is the mirror image of our formerly loved Randall's. It's a cookie cutter version, with the same sorry bakery, produce, end caps, etc. as every Safeway operation in the country. With a well-deserved reputation for poor quality and worse customer service this location does not disappoint. Just now at 9:00 pm no one answered the phone as I was attempting to order a floral bouquet for later tomorrow. No extension answered and while the prompt asked me to wait for CS, it offered my an infinite loop of no answer. I called 3 times. In desperation I pressed the number for the deli and asked him to transfer me to a customer service rep. No dice. Not his job, and he doesn't know how to transfer. He hung up on me.
UPDATE FOR PAVILIONS: Unfortunately since Pavilions took over the store has declined in quality. Everything always seems chaotic, and the employees, though friendly, seem in a constant state of stress. I don't remember exactly when they switched over but it's been at least a few months now, and I haven't seen much of an improvement. Prices definitely seem to have gone up though. I hope they can get their act together soon. I usually go to their deli for lunch, which has great sandwiches. But the wait times are just too long. I really love Vons and Albertsons, they're a great chain. They can be a little pricey but they always have great selections and you can also get fantastic deals with their sales! This location is in a great spot, very convenient and the staff are always friendly.
Was there for their jalapeno and cheddar cheese bread rolls? Looks like they need to take lessons from Pacific Beach Vons on how to make something that looks and taste good Pacific Beach really puts a standard on what looks and tastes good they really looked bad at the La Jolla Vons so bad that I just walked right out. Please don't be skimpy on the cheese and on the jalapenos because low effort on quality Bakery baked goods should be protested like I did today I just walking out just so you know I've looked at Donuts which actually looked good but I didn't want sugar so the delightful snack was skipped this time until I can make it to PB good luck with getting the Pacific Beach recipe
As with most grocery stores in upper class areas, the selection is amazing, the product is superior to lower/middle class neighborhood vons/albertsons, and many commoner products that are expensive at the lower class stores are very cheap. Alcohol selection offers better choice and lower prices, and the produce selection is increased in variation. Staff is friendlier than lower class areas, and parking lot is cleaner, with charging ports and curbside pickup. Meat selection is increasingly varied, and cleaning products offered are more "sensative skin and earth friendly" in selection. Bakery selection compared to lower class areas is intimidating.
Only market in La Jolla, prices are extremely high. No one on the floor to help, you have to go to service desk, wait on someone to help you. They point you to the general direction...if you can't find the item you have to return to the service desk... I called to see if they had turkey parts. I was told by Mack in the meat department (or something sounding like that) he said... " I'm to busy to check for you, you will have to come in" they are located .5 miles from me, so I drove 3.5 miles to Gilson's and found what I needed. So I will be shopping Gilson's in Pacific Beach instead of a very crowded Vons La Jolla
Tonight to walk into the store I had to pass a group of 3 homeless gentlemen drinking beers, urinating on the wall, playing guitar, belching extremely loudly. This directly on the corner of the building on the main road of torrey pines. a security guard was stumbling around the parking lot but didn’t seem to concerned at the group hassling customers as they walked past. Very disappointed at what pavilions allows on their property at 6pm on the busiest intersection in La Jolla. I was so disgusted from the urine and belching and smell that I forgot even what I was going to buy in the store.
This is my favorite location - La Jolla, CA - very organized, clean, friendly & courteous staff. We frequent this location to get their handmade deli sandwiches as well. No other place makes it the way they do - good quality ingredients, good bread, and very reasonably priced. Am glad that they have continued to make these sandwiches in spite of the current times, and I am in the foodservice management business and I am satisfied with what I see as their employee food safety protocols. Restrooms are very well maintained as well. I am a true regular patron for this reason alone.
I spent about 10 minutes in the meat department waiting for an associate to help. I eventually gave up and decided to check out. Zach at the self checkout was extremely helpful while assisting many guests at once. He then volunteered to come back to the meat department with me to assist me himself. The great service didn’t stop there. On the way back out to ring up my final items, Zach pulled me to a closed check out line to expedite my service since he knew I had been waiting. It’s the small things that count and Zach nailed it.
Store was neat and tidy, the gentlemen stocking fruit were being scolded by a supervisor about getting along regardless of their personal opinions. At check out the cashier and bag girl we're very involved with their conversation about where the bag girl was attending village and her life goals, they only acknowledged me to give me my receipt. Convenience of the stores location to my office, cleanliness of the store and selection are the only thing that would take me back. Customer service needs an upgrade or over haul.
Now that Vons is the only market in LJ Village, shopping there has become untenable. Parking a nightmare much of the day. Went in today and the line at the quick checkout was 10+ deep, and only one of each of the two registers open. I talked to the manager about the lack of help and he said he comes in each morning and wonders the same thing!! He obviously knows he's understaffed but can't do anything about it. When Jonathan's was competition, Vons was much better. Now they have La Jollans by the .........! Too bad
When staying in a hotel for business in La Jolla, Vons is a great alternative to generic hotel food or calorific, expensive restaurants. Also instead of packing lots of supplies from home for a Transatlantic flight its good to know you can pick up quality healthy food and brands you know when you get to LJ. Even if you are staying for only a short while its worth picking up a Vons loyalty card, as I saved $10 on one trip and you're not committed to saving points which you will never use again
Every time I go to this Vons at least one employee is rude to me. Today it was the deli guy and the woman watching self checkout. Come on people your in a customer service centric job, you don't have to smile, it would be nice if you did, but at least don't be rude to your customers!! And both of these people were rude to other customers, not just me! Find another line of work if you can't deal with the public. I have worked in customer service for 24 years and can honestly say, it's dead!
Great deals on deli meat and your group have to absolutely love the produce section of the place there shouldn't be any problem with parking lot of people that r not losers in the San Diego area and your group have to absolutely love my dress and your family 21st to absolutely no reason for 5yh wheel and your group have to absolutely love my dress and your family are doing the same thing over and over again that the place there shouldn't be any problem with the living room.
There were items that they didn't have that Vons and Albertsons usually carry. The prices are quite a bit higher at this location. I also saw upon looking at my receipt, after I did self checkout, that I didn't earn any rewards points though my rewards number number said accepted when I typed it in. because they are now The Pavillion and not Vons(though they're all Albertsons companies). You have to download a different app for each one and link them.
They need a better quality bakery if they are planning on charging so much for their cakes. I bought a medium sized cake for $21.99 plus tax for a Halloween party. The cake was super dry and the very heavy and greasy frosting tasted like crisco mixed with cheap cocoa. It was awful and no one ate it. I used to live in South Pasadena and the Pavillion there had excellent cakes which is why I bought this one. Needless to say I was very disappointed!
The Vons is great, not too busy and staff is friendly. The pharmacy could do better though. I don't visit pharmacy too often but last couple of times the service was pretty poor-pharmacy staff not arround, no bell to ring if they away so pretty much have to stand and wait for them to come out. They text you when is ready to pick up but still have to after message comes in. Better time management and customer service is needed.
Went around 12, lunchtime. Place was quite busy, many of the hot food items were gone or looked very old, I wish they had stocked that area better with fresh hot food. We settled with the soup, it was pretty good. Parking is a nightmare, their parking attendant must have that kind of job where he gets paid to just sit and watch because he could've helped struggling people get out or do something other than just sit there....
A good grocery store with a wide range of foods, drinks, household goods and other grocery items. The store is nice and clean and the service is good. They have a few locations in the area and appear to be the primary grocery store in La Jolla. There's decent parking and while it's pretty pricey, it's what you'd expect from other grocery stores in the area. Overall a good, big chain grocery store, although not amazing.
Seems to be the lowest grocery prices in La Jolla. Pretty wide selection of goods... large avocados and large papayas. A bit disorganized... in that things that you might assume would be together, may not be on the same aisle... just look around... they probably have it. Fresh salsa for instance, I have found in 4 different places... but they DO have it. Nice fresh bakery, nice deli/prepared goods counter.
A bit smaller than other Vons', but still has everything you might need, including a florist, bakery, and pharmacy. Lots of fresh produce. Good beer, wine, and liquor selection. Parking is a bit of a mess, the lot is large but cramped. Not always great for quick trips--they replaced their self-checkout kiosks with four "express" lanes but usually only staff 1-2, so when it's busy be prepared to wait.
I say I dislike it, but where else to go in La Jolla? Not all LJ people are rich. Many on fixed income. It is small in size in comparison to other stores, it does serve an aging population (me) seemingly with no thought to customer service by having someone out on the floor giving directions to products. This a is a particular problem after they rearrange the stock to make it look "fresh and new."
Everybody that works here is super nice and super awesome. Especially that Grace who works behind the deli. She was a delight, and I bet she has her own regulars who probably come just to see her. And John the cashier was super great as well. We’re from Texas and these bunch are about the first few people we’ve ran into who are just as kind as the southern people that were used to.
Such a great Vons. I typically place a pickup order. They are always very fast and pack my order well before the expected time which is nice! You can also pick up your order any time between the time you selected until 8pm. They have drive up spots where they bring you your order, and I’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes! They always have good coupons and deals as well.
We do not live in the area, so its a bit of a novelty. Granted, its a grocery store, with a little more. We went to find a vase for flowers, and the flower shop had just what we needed! The store was layed out in a very " COVID Crisis" manner. Well marked with people to gently guide you through the check out/social distancing process. Good experience for a grocery store.
I don’t wanna shop here anymore, there was a huge line. The cashier named “John” wasn’t even greeting people and the orderly lady that was asking which cashier to go she threw the divider at the cashier, like no one was there and she almost had hit us. The place is a mess and somebody needs to teach them how to work a store the right way. Definitely a one star rating
There needs to be 0 as a selection. Manager non ADA non-compliant. Threatening, harassing, yelling at us, following us thru the store while I was in an electric scooter.. Demanding we leave immediately if our 7lb small service dog is not carried or on a leash, on the floor. The dog sat on a large cover in the child seat.. We were just trying to buy a birthday cake
The store is kept clean and service is pretty good. I asked for additional information on meats and a well informed individual was called and was giving me the info I needed within 30 seconds. Decent choice of vegetables and fruits and kept fresh and nicely arranged. Love the wide selection of breads as well but they can do much better on cheeses and cold cuts.
Most of the time very friendly staff but today there was something off. The cashier was ignoring me while talking to a coworker then walked off while I was trying to pay for my groceries. Then screamed at another customer for doing nothing but saying hello. Still a good place to shop tomorrow hopefully but be careful if you are looking to be treated well.
The vons itself is like any other, but with some higher end items with their coinciding higher cost. But the parking lot has the area residence, some who are higher income and act self entitled, taking parking spots which one patiently waits another customer to vacate. Not the store's fault, but something which a potential customer will have to coup with.
Needed soft clothes to clean my windshield. They have a huge store but about 18" inches for auto supplies. No soft clothes. I asked a very helpful store clerk who tried hard to find. While I was in the checkout line (they had Windex) he sought me out, coming by with kitchen dish rags but the fabric was too hard and had ridges. A for effort!
The store is perfect, the only problem is that they start discriminate against normal drivers by taking few park spots to install EV chargers. The owners of EV are not priviledged in any way over normal car owners and reducing normal parking spots to EV parking/ charging only is pure discrimunation against normal drivers.
All of the people that work @La Jolla Vons on GIRARD St. are the most friendly & willing to be of help then any grocery store in all of San Diego! I've lived here all my life, so I've been around to qualify my experienced observation. Thank you to the personnel that I'll know by name you're the absolute best! Stasia O.
Best Vons in town. Really in the center of La Jolla, CA. Minutes to the beach, with the Lot (cinema) right around the corner. Great variety of fresh foods and fruits. The self-made Vons Guacamole is awesome & addictive. Also with a small Starbucks. The staff is always attentive, friendly and helpful.
Fine store, but goodness, they need more parking. Went to grab a few things at about 3:30 pm and literally every spot was full. People were doing the classic circle around every lane until you see reverse lights. Some people parked off site and walked in. Make sure you don't go at a busy time
Friendly staff. Very convenient, if you live near La Jolla village. Parking is tight. One stop shop!!! Starbucks, wonderful floral shop, dry cleaner, bank, pharmacy, atms and Redbox inside with a hot food deli as well. Would like to see more fresh vegetables etc but the quality is excellent.
They close 5 minutes ahead of time I arrived on Thanksgiving needing water and it was 2:55pm. They close at 3pm. I said I need 1 item just water. Security guard was on stuck on repeat. Like a robot. “Happy Thanksgiving” 2023 vibes. Can’t even go to a place while it’s open. Nasty individuals.
A disappointment. Overpriced, and reminiscent of a old supermarket with dirty floors and crowded aisles. The busiest times, they seem to shut down self checkout. I also wish they would do something about the homeless people that loiter outside. I only go to this Vons if its last minute.
The rest of the workers are probably a little nice, but this lady couldn’t even take a few seconds to point my mom in the right direction to what we needed. She just waved her hand in the air and spoke extremely soft and made no eye contact. Some customer service rep y’all got here!
This is a terrific Vons - clean, friendly, good selection of food Great produce section Great butcher section for both meat and fresh fish Excellent pharmacy - so good that UCSD med center has contracted them I have no affiliation with the store. Just think they do a very good job.
Fabulous and friendly!! Very organized, tidy store with amazing selection and great prices. We loved the fresh produce and deli selection. Staff were lovely and knowledgeable and have a sense of humor making our shopping experience even more enjoyable:) Thanks guys we'll be back!
I was waiting getting a sandwich made for me then the phone rang and the employee said he had to get the phone. Left my sandwich there was gone for 15 mins at least. Someone else came in to finish it. Burned the toast, put on the wrong cheese etc. Horrible experience!
Gotta love Vons. You have to know what to get there. I really like the sushi! The freezer section is good and they have all the basics for cheaper than other places. I still get my produce from whole foods but Vons is a great place to get all of your other goods from.
Horrible service today, they refunded to give me a receipt for my points. Long wait and my kids were late to school because they took their time making the drinks. The person in back of me got their drinks first. Will not come back to this Starbucks again.. thank you
The deli here at Vons made me an excellent sandwich(French roll- with turkey, Swiss, veggies mayo and mustard). How ever customer service could use some work. Didn't get greeted. No estimated wait... and took forever to help another customer and myself separately
It is a store were there are racist people! They discriminate a lot against Latin people. Employees feel like owners of the store, they should understand that they are hired to serve the customer whatever its their origin. How unfortunate and how embarrassing.
Staff here are angels ! I was stuck with a dead battery in the parking lot a few days after Xmas. The security guard and the lady manager I believe, came to my rescue and went above and beyond to help me. Thanks to these heros for serving the community!
I need to eat sometimes. they have food.! Haha, ...and everyone has been great. Plus they have a Monopoly game going and I'm hopeful!! ~ :-) like Forrest Gumps "mama always said,..." life IS like a box choc-o-lates... …
I’m really surprised by the quality of this place. Being in a fancy area like La Jolla I expected this place to be filled with exotic stuff…..but it’s not. I live in Flagstaff, AZ and the Safeway near my house is better than this place.
It would be much better if they just said Vons. I walked here and thought it was just a drug store. I was very surprised to find a full grocery store based on Google maps. Great clean store. Fresh produce and everything was welcoming.
Good grocery store carrying all of the essentials. The aisles are clean and the staff was friendly. Prices are as comparable to any other grocery chain do it is a convenient choice if you live nearby. It will get busy on the weekends.
Mostly caucasians close minded. A lady said to me "excuse me you need to move so I can get through" She had room to go her own way but she preferred to harass me. I responded "that I was waiting in line. She was an older caucasian.
I was visiting from Texas this past week and I would go into this store everyday to buy stuff I needed. The store was right down the street from the hotel I stayed at and loved shopping here! Great employees and great prices!!
Large supermarket with ample parking but take note there is a 2hr limit parking only. Complete range of products available, there is even a bakery with $1 bread and pretty decent fried chicken,8 pcs for $7.99. Cheap and good!
1 * for nice location but the negatives are the parking lot is packed like crazy and there are long lines for self-checkout and regular cashier that are ridiculous. Never coming to this place again unless it's in the morning
This is a great and very pleasant to shop neighborhood supermarket. The floral department is exceptional. Aisles are big and amazing selection of everything. Seasonal products are interesting too. Big parking lot.
It's a pretty standard grocery store. Easy enough to find things because they lay out the store in a logical manner. It was fairly busy when we went, but they got through the lines quickly and efficiently.
Pavilions is a Vons but a little fancier Good selection of goods. They added 3 more self-checkout stalls for a total of 9. Store is always clean. Parking can be rough during mid-day on weekdays. …
Great customer service friendly people in a beautiful clean store selective variety of fruits and vegetables everything you need from the deli to the Frozen goods to the wine it's just Vons is amazing
Came home with rotten steak. Obviously they couldn’t keep the product cold enough during the heat wave, they should have followed better food handling procedures and disposed of questionable product.
Some of the items have gone up quite a bit since pandemic. Still good price and promotions. Just use your membership and just4u vons app to maximize your savings...its worth the time to set it up.
Standard neighborhood supermarket. Has plenty of parking, restrooms, and is generally well stocked. Weirdly busy on Monday evenings. Things are improving as the Pavillions program takes over -
I haven't had good experiences at this location. I've had bad produce and moldy flowers. Customer service isn't always great either. I have shopped here at times because it is close to home.
My first visit to an American supermarket & I have to say it was a very pleasant experience. The store is well laid out & the staff were friendly & helpful. So a big to Vons. …
One of my favorite grocery stores. They have a nice produce section, really good wine and beer selection and some of their deli products are really nice (like their guacamole).
Vons/Safeway it's great. Friendly staff, products you can trust, and a good deli. If you need a quick dinner for your family, try the delicious meatloaf with some potato salad.
Jennifer at Starbucks is the best she is friendly, nice, and really helpful. 100% recommend this Starbucks (inside vons) to anyone wanting Starbucks prepared by amazing people.
It was better as Vons before they re-named it Pavillions and jacked up the prices. Laughable, but sad. Another example of good Ole USA sliding down to a third world country.
Great place to load up on snacks for hotel in La Jolla. Clean, well stocked and considerably cheaper than relying on local restaurants. My go to spot in La Jolla !!!
Shopping here almost made me believe in god. Some dude gave me excellent directions to the cheese aisle, which I should mention there are two of!
My favorate super market in all of San Diego. Big store with great quality. Excellent meats and seafood. Good service:clean and well organized.
It's decent, about what you would expect. They are working on a remodel right now, so I would expect it to be a bit nicer in the near future.
Super clean. Parking lot has plenty a parking. Associates are practicing covid/distancing. Shelves are stocked. Customer service was good.
The cafe grilled chicken from the deli was absolutely delicious, but the coleslaw was lacking a lot flavor. Would go back for the chicken.
The La Jolla Vons employees are very nice. Very impressed with Andre. He is always kind and helpful. Would highly recommend this place.
Friendly staff, plenty of well lit Parking st night , nicest produce in town, always immaculate. Clean bathrooms and lots of sale items
Good deals for members on many items. Can get everything you need for a holiday. Price might varies but the yellow tags will do!
They freeze the store! Have a big choice of product including kosher bread and dairy products, which I was looking for.
Conveniently located for me. It has a good variety of food, bathroom are clean just a bit outdated. Good sushi
Very organized and clean store, employees are extremely nice and kind. They have good products and fresh bake.
Great store but the parking is horrendous. The spaces are so small and can cause you to be too close together.
Great store but parking lot is too small for the amount of stores in this little shopping center
Just like any Vons store. Nothing special. It is nothing like Bristol Farms was for Albertsons.
The produce is good. Otherwise, they often close before the posted time. That can be a hassle.
Nice Vons Why wouldn't it be? Look at the location! Very helpful stuff in the produce section
This place is a vons just with a new name. They changed it because they're in LA Jolla.
Love Vons,Just tired of ridiculous prices of food! $10 for a cooked chicken! Insane!
Had a great and quick experience at the deli counter with the manager there.
Had a great variety of brands and deals. Very fresh deli and produce areas.
Decent grocery store, the largest in the area.
