"My stay at East Croydon premier inn was underwhelming and honestly disgusting"
"Only had 1 lift working out of 2 for the 6 floors in the building & in the lift that did work, one of the lights kept flickering away which was very annoying"
"The location was great to around, the service however was woeful"
"The staff on reception didn't crack a smile, barely said hello"
"Was only here for one night as had an early morning surgery at West Valley Hospital and needed to be in the area, food was nice in the restaurant and my little girl was very excited by all of the Halloween decorations and the staff really looked after her, gave her a bag of sweets and made a fuss of her! Couldn’t have been more helpful! The room on the 4th floor was quiet, clean and comfortable and everything you expect from premier inn so thank you for that but mainly thank you for looking after my little girl and making her stay special! My stay at East Croydon premier inn was underwhelming and honestly disgusting. I have booked 2 nights and for the price of £170 we did not expect anything fancy but we at least expected the bare minimum and not the following: •Dirty sheets with a blood stained mattress cover •Food and wrappers on floor( no hoovering done in the room) •Hair net over fire alarm ( great cleaning job and safety hazard) •stains over sofa ( food, pieces of someones weave, questionable white marks…) I reported this and provided photos around 30 mins after my check in. All The receptionist said is that he could provide clean sheets and asked if i had caused the mess myself…. Several times. He said it was not possible to get a cleaner and impossible to change rooms. I was handed clean linen and that was it. No cleaning service or room was swap was offered when suggested and the fact the room had not been cleaned did not appear to concern him. The following morning we had planned to be up and out and head to central london. Unfortunately, there was no water at all going to the room meaning we had to wait all day until 13:00 to have a shower, wash our hands or flush the toilet. My partner spoke to reception the next morning and was offered a new room which was a simple resolution but could have been avoided if issues were resolved earlier. It has thrown a spanner in the works and ultimately we have paid full Price for a service that wasn’t fulfilled. I am also appalled at the little effort the staff on Friday night went to to try and assist the situation. The reception staff member was more concerned about his mate next to him then dealing with the issue at hand. Overall, we did not have a nice experience at premier inn croydon. I understand that issues occur and the member of staff the following day managed to move us to a new room but this shouldn’t have been the case in the first place as it ruined our weekend away.

Only had 1 lift working out of 2 for the 6 floors in the building & in the lift that did work, one of the lights kept flickering away which was very annoying. Due to the freezing cold weather outside, the rooms we're very cold too & the heating vent in my room didn't really make much difference & made a bloody racket so only way to stay warm was to duck under the duvet No staff on reception when I left at 06:15 unlike previous PI hotels I've visited. Nowhere near the levels of comfort & hospitality I've experience as usually go to the Heathrow Airport Terminal 4 site but change because Croydon site was nearer to get to for my weekend plans & sadly a choice I regret making now

The location was great to around, the service however was woeful. I asked for an ironing board and iron, then went to reception after ringing for one. The chap on reception, who was as sharp as stale bread roll, said: " no worries I'll bring it up shortly." It never arrived- this was doubly disappointing as I had a night out planned so had to disguise a fairly crumpled shirt all night.

Very clean and quite basic. The view was nice but the room was crying out for a chair or small sofa.
Walkability
5- 10 min walk to East Croydon Stn and shops for provisions.

The staff on reception didn't crack a smile, barely said hello... gave the impression they didn't want to be there and made us feel like we were burdening them. The room smelt VERY strongly of bleach which faded after a while but at least we knew it had been cleaned. The bed was comfy. On a final note, I know the doors are generally wedged open when cleaners are in there but maybe just remember dust builds up behind them too. Was a thick dust layer on carpet behind door. Would probably stay again. We didn't let a few moody receptionists spoil our stay

As a citizen of the world, I was delighted with my stay at this world renowned boutique hotel. The sheets on the bed were of impeccable taste. The bathroom soap was sensual and arousing. The breakfast selection was simply divine. Reminded me of my visit to Noma.

Everything about this hotel is just bloody awful. Yes, the beds are comfortable, but the sheets are DIRTY with strangers' hairs and weird brown stains (hopefully blood and not something else). The towels are stained too, and dusty. Oh, and room service is nonexistent! No towel changing, toilet paper runs out and no one is there to add more or remove garbage. Not to mention the location itself is quite secluded and isn't safe to wander around at night. Not recommended.

Great customer service by Waleed!!! Credit to the company! It’s a pleasure to see him: starting with the check in (specially early check in) and finish with her smile for check out! Well done! Great stay. I will choose always Premier Inn Croydon just for this kind of nice and helpful staff! Fantastic! The rooms are always clean and nice view.

There should have been more signage on the ground floor to indicate that reception was on the first floor. It was easy enough to work out, but still disorientating. The receptionist could never be a black cab driver. I asked him the quickest way to walk to the local train station: he hadn't a clue. The room was decent, although slightly on the cold side. The cooked breakfast was of a reasonable standard. The staff in the dining room were helpful.

Great location, close to the railway station and Box Park down the road for a buzzing night life, Dinner was great and the team always had a smile and Rashmi who served me went out of her way to make it a great dining experience. Breakfast was good and the breakfast team were friendly too. Will stay again when next down More
Stayed one night at short notice and delighted with comfy clean room, and really enjoyed the breakfast. Staff really keen to help and provide anything needed. Location was perfect for us as we were a two minute walk from the East Croydon railway with many trains into central London. Would happily stay again. More
I stayed here on a business trip. I had no expectations as this was booked for me but what a lovely stay. All of the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was affordable and a good value for money. The hotel is easy to find and within walking distance to the centrale and train stations. More
We made a mistake with our booking for a stay at Premier Inn London Croydon Town Centre hotel. It was after 24 hrs when we realized the fault. Now we would like to change the location to Premier Inn London Wimbledon (Broadway) hotel for the
I was there on a Saturday night after Notting hill carnival and the staff were absolutely fantastic. A broad spectrum of clientele that was treated with the utmost respect and patience by the staff who always had their guests best interests
Had such fantastic service at breakfast. The staff just couldn't help enough and showed great interest in making sure we were well cared for. It was great to see that they had veggie sausage and bacon options that I took full advantage of.
Short walk to train station. I did not feel safe at this location as there was always someone standing by the front door and drinking beer (from nearby store). Customer service was pretty good. The rooms need to be updated, which is not a
Had a lovely stay here. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and the decor was great. Bed was comfy and the room was equipped with all your needs. Well worth a visit. More
No metro station nearby, should take the northern like then walk to a metro station, quite tiring. Rooms were freezing, ac wouldn't go higher than 24, staff were very helpful but
Very comfy beds, clean rooms. Located 5 minute walk to London trains. About 30 minute train ride to Victoria Station. Excellent breakfast. They even had black pudding!
Used for daughters 30th birthday weekend with ABBA Voyage, Six the musical and meals associated. Price/position good. A clean warm home on a cold weekend. More
