Last month I ran around with the firm intention of paying my storage bill one day prior to the late fee kicking in, life happens. I went to four(4) Public Storage locations in Charlotte along .the North Tryon area only to find out none of those location were staff by a worker, the offices were all closed along This appears to be an extortionary conduct on the part of Public storage. They appear to be intentionally closing locations the day prior to the insertion of their late fee. In addition they make it very difficult for you to make payments on line on certain accounts. Calling their customer service number is useless and a waste of time nothing ever gets resolved. I have never encountered a company that makes it so difficult for you to submit a payment. Then the late fee for the month of December was subtracted. A fee that should not have been added in the first place. The fee should have been removed from the monthly fee. Because I was never able to receive a link to submit payment. The company often makes it difficult to make payment so that they feel justified in charging late fees. I also went to a South Boulevard location, and the electricity went out, so payment could not be accepted. Then most recently their very rude contentious manager, Halo called and shouted at me on the phone about the very bill I attempted to pay. I asked her not to call my phone and hung up on her. This manager is continually disrespectful and surly. And I prefer not to deal with her. December 17th, I went to pay this month’s bill. It shows up as pending according to my bank. However Publics Storage kept telling me it did not go through. two pending charges were debited from my account, one for $120 and the other for $129, yet the manager at 1001 N Tryon kept telling me it did not go through. The system is flawed. On Saturday, xmas eve a gentleman called me claiming to be a representative of Public Storage. He informed me of what I already knew. The bill had not been paid. I informed him that many attempts had been made to pay the bill. I also told him that the company does not make it easy to make payments. I am looking forward to the day I can remove my possessions out of my unit at this unfair deceitful company.

I rent my storage unit from this location and the customer service manager is very un professional and she had the nerve to tell me to shut up and let her talk when I was on the phone with her. So instead of going into to pay I sent my husband in to pay and she told him that did not like me. Who is she to tell my husband that she doesn't like me. The gate doesn't work she have waiting for along time because she got new customers walking and she is very disrespectful. Why would you guys as a company have some one so salvage working for your company. What you need to do is send a secret shopper in there on that ass and you will see what everyone is talking about with her funny looking ass. The only person you need to keep in there is david he is a very sweet and professional young man who will get far in life because he know how to communicate. And if you are reading this Hala you are so disrespectful and I hope you fall all your face before someone beat it in with your mouth because it is real disrespectful.

The moving in process was very simple and smooth. The problems did not start until after I vacated the unit. I called the property manager Phyllis a few days prior to moving out to find out the protocol of closing out the unit and she told me all I had to do was empty it out, take my lock and leave the door open. I asked her if there were any paperwork I needed to sign to make it official and she assured me there was not. Nine days after leaving, which was the next month, she called saying that they had just noticed the day before that I moved out and need verbal confirmation. After giving it to her, she told me that I would still be charged for the current month because I did not move out before the month started which was not true. She also said that she had camera footage of me there during the current month but could not show me (due to the fact that no such footage exist) and if I refused to pay then it would hit my credit.

I would have to agree the service at this location was awesome. I looked all over the city for storage facilities that would accommodate my needs. I met a young lady name Kamela that listened to my every word and then she started checking all the facilities she managed. She presented me with several options (all of them perfect size, location and economically viable for my budget). I was thoroughly informed on all that was required of me (very little) I booked my rental space immediately and have been pleased with her service every since. *** Reviewers stop wasting time getting attitudes and the run around with other storage facilities..... Go look at 5748 N. Tryon facilities and talk Kamela about your needs. I cannot stress how professional and accommodating she was to me and my family.** E.V. Johnson (Satisfied Customer)

The location and the unit I rented are great. I don't need to go inside a building to move my stuff into. It is very accessible. However, the unit DOES NOT have a light inside and the door is pretty narrow. I had been to other Public Storage in the past the door is usually pretty wide. As for the access time, I wish the time be push to midnight instead of 9pm especially to those who are moving in for the first time or had signed the contract late in the day. We wanted to move more stuff on the day I signed the contract, but because the facility closes at 9pm we couldn't move anymore stuff. Due to our busy schedule and some issues, we couldn't make multiple trips. We needed to move everything in one night. Basically, it would've been nice if the hours were a bit more flexible or accomodating, but it wasn't.

I am currently having a terrible experience at this location. My lock got jammed and I was unable to access my things and they told me that they were unable to fix it that day. They told me that they would fix it the next day first thing in the morning and took my keys. They next day, I show up and nobody is on the property. I have called the property manager multiple times and they never answered my voicemails. I am still currently unable to access my things and they are waisting my time. The customer service is non-existent and I was told that most of the storage units are like this. Please don’t be fooled by all the positive reviews, if I could go back in time I would. I regret the decision to purchase a storage unit from this location. Please don’t make the same mistake that I did.

Although I would like to be able to leave a positive review, unfortunately I have had a tough time getting access to my unit on weekends. I have a 2 hour drive to this unit, and a work schedule that only allows me to come by on Saturday. Public storage recently changed their locks and I needed to come in and put my own lock on the unit, which currently is using a PS lock. This means I need a onsite staff member to remove the lock so I can replace it with my own. I have tried 3 times to catch a staff member at this location on Saturday and despite other locations being open, this one has not. the online listing will show it's open, but it isn't. It's been very frustrating :(

My first experience with a storage unit has been surprisingly good. Phyllis was particularly responsive in helping to set up an appointment to meet with her and get moved in, all in the same day I made the reservation. She made the entire process smooth and efficient. The storage units are more secure than most of the other storage units I had looked it. There is no AC for these units, in case you may have missed that. Also make sure to calculate in $11 minimum for insurance on the unit (though, I'm fairly certain that this is an industry standard). Overall, if you want a cost efficient storage option, this is a good place to go.

0 *s our unit was broken into an robbed, things destroyed and strewn about. Called the front desk, got a call back 5 hours later, wife got cussed out and hung up on. Paying over 200 a month, they've known about the break-ins and burglaries for months, happening DIRECTLY around my unit I might add, never received any notice. EVEN FOUND OTHER PEOPLES BELONGINGS! Assuming to be other victims from this storage location. The officer said this was the 5th or sixth unit broken into in the last couple months, and multiple trailers were also stolen off the property. Lack of cameras, bad area, don't recommend

Guys, the Public Storage that is located on 5748 not Tryon the site manager is doing a very good job. She always answers her phone calls and respond to emails on time. Her customer service is very professional and I really really appreciate doing business with her, I would recommend other people to come there and do business with her because of her professional customer service, Kim Cloud is her name thank you so much Kim I appreciate everything you're doing out there keep doing your thing merry Christmas to you and your team. We look forward to what 2024 is going to bring to us. Thank you guys.

Very happy with renting a storage unit at this location, Phyllis did an excellent job of taking the time to understand my needs, answer my questions, show me available units and make me feel confident and secure there. She went above and beyond in following up to ensure It met my expectations and see if there was anything else I needed. The units are clean and well maintained with a very good level of safety and security 24/7. It really is the people that make the difference between a good and great experience, good people like Phyllis who care certainly made the difference here for me.

There are 2 employees that work at this site. One is pleasant and helpful. She gives you the rules, but maintains excellent customer service. She is a brunette. The blonde has the nastiest attitude I have ever come across in doing business. I found out or better yet was told, they have these policies that they enforce but you aren't made aware of until the situation. She seems very hostile and aggressive. Because of her, I will not ever use Public Storage again. Every person that I get a chance will hear about her and this terrible experience.

My family recently moved to the Charlotte area from San Diego. Due to our downsizing, we realized that we needed some place to store our excess of furniture and goods. We found Public Storage, and are very, very pleased with the Cleanliness of the Facility and the Professional Service that has been rendered to us by the employees, especially Deb (last name unknown). I’ve been doing business with Public Storage over the past few yrs and I can honestly say that Ms Phyllis is exceptional when it comes to customer service, she really take time to listen to the customer needs in order to accommodate them. She made sure I understood the billing process and terms. Ms Phyllis is a valued and appreciated employee that makes renting a storage unit easy. I was looking for a storage unit for a few months as I was going back north for a while needed to save money while still planning on getting back to Charlotte, I worked with the sweetest woman named Phyllis, she helped with everything from finding the perfect size for my needs while keeping it affordable to getting the equipment I needed as a young woman moving everything on my own. I highly recommend using them for public storage and absolutely loved the service. Phyllis goes above and beyond!

Nothing but good things to say. I reserved the unit online at night well after business hours. The next morning I received a call from the manager (Kamela) with regards to the unit (as the site mentioned I would). Upon showing up, Kamela was a pleasure to do business with and I ended up getting the unit I reserved online. Kamela answered all of my questions and I've been very happy with the customer service since getting my unit. This is a great place to do business with.

This place is a good storage place. PROS: security systems actually works. There is a talky but very nice front desk lady. People who work there actually work (I left my storage without a locker late night, and I got a call the next day). CONS: there a big hump/curb to go over if you are trying to enter your car, very low ground-clearance car may have trouble entering the unit. Prices are not the best, and it does increase during your term.

I worked with Joyce to rent a unit for my company. She was amazing and so helpful. She even looked at additional locations in the area that may have larger units in case we need a larger size. The process was quick and smooth, and she gave me ALL the information I needed and more. I'm glad I chose to rent my unit and this location because the help from Joyce and Hala is amazing. And their sense of humor is a welcomed plus!

I would just like to say thank you to Hala who ihas gone out her way to help me with obtaining storage space. This lady soul has such wonderful energy and a beautiful spirit. I have used public storage off and on for over 5 years, and have always had good service. I must say this time was far most the best experience ever. A lady named Dewana was helpful and even though she didnt have the size I needed she directed to the location that did. She went above what I would call customer service, and truly helped me. Great worker, we need more people in businesses like her. Great attitude!

This is one of many times she has saved me from becoming frustrated with this chain. Keep up the good work! Halal and Joyce were awesome. They help me get finalize this move & sidestepped the problems that tried to surface. Plus they fun to be around.

Bought some furniture my husband said “I didn’t need” so we had to look into renting a storage unit and I was given the pleasure of meeting an awesome lady! Hala should be a Family Member! I'm old school & went you can still get customer service in 2016 it restores your faith in humanity. David is also a people person. I use to say these young people don't know how to give customer service. Well, now I can say except for David, these young people don't know how to give customer service these days.

Fantastic service----clean facilities---gave options---I arrived right before closing (I truly didn't know what time they closed) and they didn't hurry me along--very courteous---didn't pressure to upsell----very pleasant experience. They even "entertained" my 3 year old while I was signing paperwork. Great team with great service :)

I don't know why people are saying bad things about Hala I think they are competing storage unit places. She is quick and made sure I had everything I needed for my unit. The storage facility has a gated entrance with a pin code that works great, and Hala is almost always available to help out or answer questions.

I must say , I received the best service from the young lady Felicia. She gave me directions to the location in University because I could not find the address listed and she was just so pleasant. It's the small things that make people want to use this company and I will be sure to refer others :)

The manager (Phyllis) was the absolutely most effective and personable storage manager I have ever dealt with. She was professional, courteous, knowledge and genuinely kind. It was a real pleasure to deal with her during a stressful move and she navigated us through the process seamlessly.

CROOKS & THIEVES! They never returned my son's money for a lock that was never issued when he canceled storage online a day before it was to be issued. LIARS! ALL of who we spoke with from clerk to management to corporate office. Take your business to a more professional storage facility.

The manager is really unprofessional , rude and disrespectful. She always ignored and yelled at me . Today even I went to pay my bill at the office she just threw my receipt in the table. She’s always accused people without any prove of throwing track on dumpster.
