"I did not like the service at all"
"While I'm generally a huge Publix fan, my two recent visits to this store were quite underwhelming"
"Having been born and raised in Florida, the public experience has always been the upmost best grocery store I’ve ever shopped in!! This Publix has to be first worse shopping experience I’ve ever had the floors the food the employees what can say!! I don’t wanna bad mouth them but the store really needs help the food was out of hold times (old) and being sold several hours after time or there was none the vegetables and fruits were out of stock also rotten!! The aisles were block and being disabled trying to move through the store was very difficult also I’m so used to every employee saying hello how ware you? No one even spoke!!Check my pics below and you be the judge!"
"EDIT: The worst Publix I've ever been to"
"This grocery store is really nice"
I did not like the service at all. I was in line to get money orders and I watched one of the managers having a very engaging and friendly conversation with the person ahead of me. When she was finished with the transaction she never acknowledged me nor looked in my direction as if she was avoiding me altogether like we knew each othet or something. An associate came behind and said "I can take you over here, what did you need" at this point I wanted to walk out but I really needed my money orders. The point I'm making in my review is, I'm a frequent shopper of Publix and I LOVE LOVE my home location in the Hermitage Plaza, but regardless to what location I need to receive the same level of service. I will NEVER visit this location again! Perception and Consistency are key indicators in delivering an exceptional experience for the customers.
While I'm generally a huge Publix fan, my two recent visits to this store were quite underwhelming. I waiting 45 minutes for a sub sandwich, mostly because one of the employees was exceedingly slow. At one point there was 15 sandwiches in the queue for him to dress. Compounding the problem is the fact that they are building sandwiches for online orders at the same time. While I wasn't in a huge hurry, 45 minutes is excessive. Another strike against this location is the fact that they don't accept cash in the self checkout lines, so if I have just one or two items, I'm forced to stand in line to check out. The overall employee vibe at this store is vastly different than Publix stores in Hendersonville or Lebanon Rd. While the Lebanon store is about 8 minutes farther from us, I'll likely be going there instead.

EDIT: The worst Publix I've ever been to. It was great Opening week and has just went downhill since. This store is an insult to the Publix standard and an excuse is always given if there is "management" present in the store. The shelves are NEVER stocked. The sale items always out of stock, don't order ahead on deli meat and cheese because you will still wait 45 min plus past the time quoted when you place the order in advance. This store does not reflect the standard of every other Publix I have EVER been to anywhere else. So excited to finally have a Publix in East Nashville! Beautiful, clean and friendly store! No more Kroger for me!
This grocery store is really nice. I believe it's the first Publix I've ever been in and I liked it. I bought a sandwich that was very good. Four stars only because it took forever to check out. There was a long line for self checkout and there were several registers that were unmanned, which led to the long line. To be fair, it was a busy time and the parking lot was packed, but they should schedule more help for Sunday evenings if this is their busiest time.
My experience with the Deli department was fantastic. I ordered 200 pieces of chicken and smoked Gouda Mac and Cheese. I had to wait a few minutes but they worked hard to complete my order. The food was hot and the chicken is flavorful. After a long hard week, the Deli Manager made the repass for my neice’s funeral a beautiful way to celebrate her end the day. Food and family. Thank you Publix for making this experience a good one.
I needed a money order. Long wait in a short line. Plus, the lady behind the counter seemed a bit racist. My change went on the counter and not in my hand, How Unprofessional of her. She needs to learn this year 2023 that black people are free! Plus, white security guard singled me out and asked about a black man that was apparently stealing. Not my job. I just wanted a money order!!! Ugh!!!!!! It is not 1950 Publix but 2023!!!!
Customer lady very rude. We are from Florida. I ask the lady at customer service we're I can play lottery and is cash or take debit car. She look at me with a bad look and said walk around the counter and talk to me. Were in the world is that I just ask for a simple question. I will not coming back for the time I stay here.
Did an online deli sub order just for my sub not to be ready, i asked a deli associate he didn't do anything about it, proceeded to wait an extra 30 minutes, the guys making subs had a little line, and were slow, nobody acknowledged me just waiting by the order pick up, i felt offended shopping here worst publix ever.
Not happy at all. I used Instacart. My sub was awful. I ordered 2 subs on wheat. Ended up with something nasty on white. Never again. I'll continue to use the Deli on Lebanon Rd, and shop at Publix in Hermitage. This store is a disaster for East Nashvillians for multiple reasons as for stated in other reviews
Two words: NOAH & NOAH. Amazing! Both Noah’s in the deli are Saints. They went above & beyond to make sure everything was together for our orders. They there quick, paid attention & were sooo friendly. I live down the road & will most definitely be back!!!!! I love my local Publix and my local NOAHs.
I love this Publix!! The customer service is amazing. The options in each department are wonderful and always well stocked. The store is always clean and neat. There's always an abundance checkout options and my favorite employee is Charlene. She is so sweet, patient and helpful!
Friendly. Good selections of groceries. Fair prices. But most of all the courtesy of the staff. People greet you at the door. Offer a buggy. If you can't reach something, people are likely to run to your rescue from all directions. I hope it always keeps the friendly atmosphere.
Good variety of items but was not happy to see a fly in one of the bakery display cases. Another lady and I were looking to get something sweet. It was landing on everything. We told the employee worker that area. She opened the case and removed it. She was quite embarrassed.
I understand you need to fill up your pre made Boars Head area, but Austin filled that up when there were seven people waiting to make an order. There was only one person cutting the deli meats and cheeses. The order took forever.Real customers over potential customers.
This Publix is struggling on multiple fronts: not enough parking spots, too few checkout lanes, the deli is extremely slow and understaffed, and they’re often out of stock on many items. This store is too small to support this area and the amount of people.
I mean Publix Subs says it all. Staff are usually friendly and the shelves are stocked. Their doughnut selection is decent, bigger stores have bigger selection but that’s expected. The beer selection is very good, mix of locals, foreign and domestic brews.
A gem of a Publix near where my daughter now lives. It did my heart good to shop with her at a Publix. Clean beautiful and well stocked. Employees were delightful including the sub sandwich maker. She was on duty Sunday morning the 18th. She was lovely.
This store is way too small. I used the self check out and needed some assistance. So I tried to make eye contact with the young lady for help. Couldn't do that because she was too busy looking at her phone. Will not go back unless I absolutely have to.
I went in to get a sub, it is very popular for subs/deli orders. I dont know how as of yet, but i would suggest ordering subs online and picking them up to avoid the line. They print online orders and work them into the queue with in person orders.
BUFFALO Chicken Tender SANDWICH with bleu cheese crumbles and peppercinis! every time I come to the deli, I run into this wonderful human being! I still don’t know her name (she has pretty red hair) but she is extremely attentive, polite
I love this market. I'm always in and out. The curbside pickup service is awesome, too. I love the subs from the deli. It's always fresh and clean. I love that they use Boar Head's meats as well. I never have an issue finding things and if
I’m so glad to have his Publix on Gallatin Road. It’s small, easy to shop, and well-stocked. Deon is always very friendly and professional. He definitely deserves to be in a management position (which I think he is) He knows the customers
What a nice place. The employees were so helpful and put up with me. Lol...i paid for abd ate some of their fresh sushi rolls. Found everything i was looking for and many more things not on the list. Very good stars for this team.
I'm glad Publix moved in here. Kroger needed some competition in the area. But outside of that, it's just a nice, clean store. The hot bar is EXCELLENT, as are the sandwiches. Pretty much all of the grab-and-go food is great.
Where parking is not a pleasure. I wish this place had a bigger lot, I always feel like someone is going to hit me so I park in the back. But the store is great! Download the app! You get a free bar cake for your birthday!
Absolutely the worst deli staff ever! I would give this place ZERO stars if I could. 10/13/23 - was out of onions at 5:42pm. 10/17/23 - only gave me 3 tenders and 3 pieces of cheese on a whole tender sandwich.
Very clean store!! Helpful workers. Regular & self check out options. Always have great deals going on, including BOGO! And of course, their fresh foods and meats are the best out of all other grocery stores.
Smallest Publix in thee world, yes thee world BUT holding its own sitting between (2) different Krogers on each end of Gallatin Road. I do love this Publix as the seafood, veggies and fruit are always fresh.
Very good addition to the neighborhood and has nice place to visit and the customer service is very good and fresh fruit and vegetables and wide variety of bread. A must visit if you have time
Not this location specific but all Publix locations are wildly overpriced. The app also doesn’t show prices even when you scan product for a reason. They mark up about 25% compared to Kroger.
The deli manager should be fired, this is by far the most poorly run Publix deli that I have ever been to. I am considering moving out of East Nashville so I can be closer to another Publix.
This is the only Publix I have ever been too that isn’t kept clean and well stocked. The staffing is not great in any regard. I won’t shop here if I have any other reasonable option
Kind of a mini store compared to what I am used to. The Buy One Get One specials were good, but most all the other prices werev25- 50 cents higher than Kroger
Public here at this location has it all. Good food, great service and some of the best chicken, plus other things you need in a store. But it's all good!
Good place to get groceries. I like there warm heated food. The only downside is they have numerous flies around the food. They need to fix that.
Always clean and very friendly staff. For a very small store they really try to have a good variety of items in the store! Great Bakery too!!
Super clean, great selection, friendly staff and free cookies at the desert counter- What else could you want?
By far my favorite grocery store to venture into in Nashville (besides Whole Foods of course).
They're always really busy and don't have enough parking. Got a good selection of food though.
Rib plate from deli was awful!!!! No meat on bone hardly Mac and cheese tasted like nothing.
I will take a picture when I get home, but the cake I ordered was fantastic!
Terrific customer service from the meat department and checkout every time!
Welcoming staff, Amazing cheese selections.. Absolutely wonderful service.
Found everything that I was looking for. Clean and nice place to shop.
Nice store but not enough room for the amount of traffic they have
Small and always busy location tuff to find parking at peak hours
I prefer Publix over all the other grocery stores. 100
Great experience. Clean store and staff were helpful.
