I was shocked by the customer service. Me and my friend went to exchange our coins for cash at the machine 1 hour before closing. It only took 5 minutes to get the receipt so we could get the cash at the customer service desk. We had to wait because they did not have enough cash at the register which we had no problem waiting. There was a young lady and an older man working the desk. The older man comes back and tells the young lady “I’ll take care of this so you can kick these guys out of here” in a loud and annoyed tone. I was confused by this since we weren’t causing any problems and we didn’t even complain about anything. While doing the transaction he tells us “you know we close at 9:00 right” in a mad tone. Which is crazy since it was only 8:20 pm. He goes on to tell us that he wants to get out early because he has a life. Which I understand but in my opinion it wasn’t even that close to closing time. I don’t know if he hated his life so much that he has to take it out on customers or he just wants to quit but I don’t think it was very professional of him at all. I doubt Publix even cares about this incident but if they somehow do, this happened on 1/7 around 8:00-8:30 pm. It’s sad seeing such a quality company get brought down by employees like this, especially since he seemed like the one with more experience. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get his name but I will pray for him since it seems like he hates his job so much.
I was very disappointed to find many expired items on the shelves. I gathered the few things that weren’t expired and went to the deli for dinner. They had my two favorite snacks: cheese curds (possibly ranch flavored) and Mac n cheese balls. Publix of Antioch almost redeemed themselves, but the fly chilling on top of the Mac balls INSIDE of the food shelving said otherwise. The employee just continued serving a customer like there was no fly. Bugs happen, but can’t you at least open the door and shoo it away to give an appearance that you don’t serve food being used as a couch buffet for bugs? And why are we leaving expired food on the shelves? Maybe train employees to pull bad stock off of the shelves instead of making the expired food look pretty on the shelf? Isn’t that more important? I expect more from Publix in any city, any state. We are all short staffed. It is no longer an excuse to let food rot and charge people for it.
This store always seems to be stocked and have everything i need. One time i took a bottle of cocktail sauce to the front to return because it was expired. They let me return it but 2 days later the same expired jar was back on the shelf so just be sure to check your dates on certain things. It's about 50/50 on the kindness of employees. I guess it depends on who is working. There are some people like Rich who are ALWAYS happy smiling and willing to help. He's my favorite associate!! On the weekends some of the employees take all of the close parking spots so you'll have to do some walking when you go.
I love Publix but THIS location is TRASH when it comes to sandwiches and chicken. It should NOT take 30 minutes to stand in line. Also, placed a chicken tender meal on the Publix app, didn’t pay for it and was going to in the store and it took forever for someone to wait on me. I wish there was a dedicated pickup section rather than just standing there and waiting for someone to assist you. Never got the chicken tender meal, bc again, it was such a long wait and no one has time for that.
This is a fairly clean store, the clerks were friendly, they have a lot in stock and the isles conditioned well, the prices are a bit more expensive than most competitors, and the deli was iffy. Specifically getting box lunches. The meats and cheeses were great, the chicken wings and rotisserie was delicious, but the meal boxes are not that great. Usually the food has been sitting there for a while and it's hardened.
I just wish I could afford to shop more often here. But I do like to get deli sandwiches here, when I don't have time to cook. They are fresh...and I ❤️ the fresh baked breads, too.
Everyone always helpful. Bakery is excellent. Prices are higher, for the most part, but ambience and people are worth it when I need certain items.
Doesn't everyone Love this place. Great customer service, tasty delicious bakery and deli items. Store is always clean and I can always find help.
Great staff. Helpful and friendly. Clean aisles and staffed!!! The hot food bar is fresh. Fresh order to make subs. Clean aisles!!!
Good service minus the chef stops frying chicken b4 6pm. So please call in to get fresh chicken to eliminate that 30/45 minute wait
