This morning I was humiliated in discriminated against because the color of my skin. At this Publix. I go into the grocery store to purchase balloons for my child’s 10th birthday. I go pick the balloons the young man in the back was filling the balloons with helium so I proceeded to ask him if I can go ahead on and purchase the balloons and come back and get them. The gentleman gave me the ticket. I go to the self check out the self check out was not taking cash. So I asked a young lady if I can check out it customer service. The young lady proceeded to call another young man to check me out at register seven I purchase the balloons and other items I then proceeded to the back of the store I grab the balloons I told that young man thank you. I proceeded to walk out the door with my balloons. I loaded my balloons in my car and the youngest store clerk follow me out. The door was taking pictures of my car in the process of dialing 911 accusing me of stealing the balloons. I turn the car around and go back in the store, and I asked the young clerk was their problem. She says yes I pull out my receipt. I show her that I purchased the balloons people were staring I was humiliated. To Eric, the store manager. The store manager just gave me he just purchased the balloons he gave me my money back. That is unfair treatment, and very humiliating.
By far, the worst Publix I have ever gone to .. first, I wanted 3 2 inches thick or larger steaks. The first butcher said he would have to cut me some .. then the 2nd butcher said he couldn't do it .. or should I say wouldn't do it .. the steaks in the counter were only an inch thick .. no steaks for dinner . Next, the grocery department was a mess couldn't find kosher salt, and the store was poorly face out covering large holes with other items for a Friday it was sad .. Publix should be standing tall going into the weekend .. The Publix just didn't have the Publix energy to say the lease . Employees weren't helpful at all .. they were just there . It was really sad . They wouldn't make it in Charlotte, NC . Or Florida. I'm an old Publix customer and know what Publix is, and they would love to cut those steaks. Last there was no one on the floor filling shelves or working walk the entire store had to go to the front dest to get help.
Just a Publix. Staff in deli doesn't know if sandwiches contain mustard or mayonnaise apparently. When I told the girl I absolutely hated mustard, she said "well that's peppercorn based". Got home and it was a mustard peppercorn... I like visiting this establishment, it's a good way to support organizations like the Klan through the ownership of the company who are members. Even minorities can't help themselves in this respect The food is so good that they too like supporting Nazis and the Klan. Moving this to one star as I just found out the owner offered 3 mil for January 6th sedition and is good friends with Alex Jones--a man who is likely to encourage the slaughter and sale of young children in grocery stores.. I'll still shop there though with my minority friends... Got a nice deli with good food.
Looked and looked for signs on the door that would show us their hours at 9 pm, but didn't see any. The doors were open and the lights were on. Passed several employees.while we shopped, but none of them spoke to us. Several minutes later a manager asked if we were looking for something and when we said "just shopping" she announced "well, we're closed". We could've been off to another store much earlier if we could see posted hours or maybe if the doors were locked or if anyone had told us they were closed before we shopped. We also got an earful from the checkout person about many different subjects that we didn't solicit. All that, high prices and marginal selection of the things we were looking for. Plenty of other places to shop nearby.
My shopping experience at the Nippors Corner Publix was outstanding. The store is bright and clean and the Customer Service people who greet you are always friendly and professional. The produce is the best of all the grocery stores I have been to in the Nashville area and there is always an abundance of options. Products on the shelf are clearly priced and the store is laid out well so you get your cold items last. All of the associates are friendly and extremely helpful and always willing to look for an item on the shelf or in the back. The “buy one, get one” sales are the best around and provide a great deal of savings. While they may not be the least expensive, they are the most professional and attractive choice for quality groceries.
I almost lost my temper in this store. I went to check out in the self- check out lane and as soon as I got to the register. The CSR lady walks over and stands right in my space. I spoke to her bit she had a strange look on her face. I removed my jacket and placed it in the buggy. I proceeded to scan my grocery. I paid the for first batch with on card, checked out the rest of my grocery and paid for them with another card. I was speaking up a little loud to be heard because I was not about to steal anything from this store. When I finished paying for my grocery, I told her to have a nice evening. Out of all of the other African American people in the store I was wondering, " am I the only one that was done that way?"
This Publix is sadly like all the rest now that the company has turned the self check-out registers to credit only. Meaning that if you want to use cash, you have to go to a register with a live person and on average, there are never more than 2 people working the registers. Thus you will stand in line forever to purchase one item just because you want to use cash. Today was particularly disturbing in that I purchased some water that the register didn't recognize and it took the cashier forever to clear it out and post the correct price. This is a call to all Publix locations - please revert back to cash usage at self-check registers, especially since you only employ and train one or two cashiers per store.
Love this Publix location! The store is always neat and tidy, carts easily accessible. The associates (in all departments) are exceptional. Stephanie, Jennifer, Gwen, Tyrie and Joyce in the customer service department are AWESOME. They are always friendly and willing to help with anything. Patrick, the deli manager, is amazing. He will stop whatever he is doing to help find an item, or solve any issues I've had. The entire meat + seafood department (Lena, Dean, Kevin, David, Derek) is great. Product is always fresh, and the variety is great. I love this store and go out of my way to shop here any chance I get!
This is my family’s home grocery store. It is SO much better than Kroger. Employees are always nice, the produce and meat department is fresh. They still have cashiers (I know weird right). There are also multiple self checkout lanes. The bakery is excellent. Ive ordered several cakes from them. I get my custom sliced cold cuts and cheese and also use their pharmacy. I just wish the pharmacy was open more hours, but they are still way better than Walgreens. All in all a great store and great business.
Pretty sure this is the cleanest grocery store in greater Nashville, we love shopping at this Publix location! Their prepared foods and meat selection are always great, and the staff is always amazing. Huge bonus that their fried chicken somehow is better than many area restaurants, and we love their store made sweet tea. Overall you just can't beat this Publix!
Very well organized and stocked supermarket. They make sure the shopping carts don't pile up in the parking lot, keep them clean - and the carts move when you push them!!! The self check out machines are always working and all of the Publix staff are very helpful, friendly and easy to talk to. Prices are good and the store itself is always spotless.
The employees here are always so friendly! I enjoy talking with them every week. The store is always clean and their carts are in great shape. The food selections are wide and they have some of the best cake!! I love the food at the deli as well. Highly recommend this location for all your grocery shopping, bakery, and pharmacy needs!
Tucker did an excellent job of helping me recently…. he gets 5 stars for being diligent and attentive…. one of his managers gave me a really hard time about him helping me at my last visit (even though I REALLY needed the help) but the overall staff there is so excellent that I would go back again. Great job, Tucker and Christina!
Great place to shop at especially the Deli, Cake and Bakery section is superb; to name few Special ones to mention here are : 1. Flying Saucer, 2. Almond Bear claw, 3. Chocolate Ganache Cake 4. German Chocolate Delight Cake Recently Produce Section started - Pineapples slice with a special ‘Tajin Classic Seasoning’ a Must Try!!
This store is always kept clean. Has friendly people that care about giving good service. And the store shelves always look nice. Its much easier to find what youre looking for when the shelves are full or at least front faced until restocked. Thanks for your consistency in providing great service. …
Felt the need to shout out the meat and seafood department. Everyone there, no matter what time I come, is always so nice and helpful! The product is always fresh (unlike their neighbor Kroger ) and the staff always goes above and beyond to get me whatever I need. Thanks for being awesome! …
I love Publix. The people working here make it a pleasure, It continues to always be clean, well organized, high quality and good prices. Although this store happens to be a little less convenient than it's competition for me, I nearly always make the effort to shop here.
Deli, getting a sub sandwich. Mrs. A made my sandwich. She was nice to the family before me. And even nice and took her time with my boyfriend's sandwich after. But when it was my turn to have my sandwich made, she was impatient. I asked
I ordered a graduation cake - which did not come out how I wanted AT ALL due to miscommunication between the employee and I. It was a plain white cake with Congrats on it when we went to pick it up. We let them know this is not what was
This is the only other place ive ever been (next to chik filet) where everyone seems to LOVE their job. Must be the happiest place on earth to work. GREAT Produce, brands you wont find anywhere else. A little pricey but worth it.
Shout out to Tommy in the Publix’s Deli!! Super fun, loved his energy, and made me a banging Ultimate sandwich! Customer service doesn’t get better then this! Y’all will not be disappointed! Trust! It defiantly was a Pleasure!
Service in the deli department is awful. Rude workers who never acknowledge you, claim to never have anything in stock. I come in here frequently and nothing changes. Do not waste your time and money with these people.
I inly needed a few things....too expensive to shop here on the norm..produce is more expensive but tastes better and lasts longer. Also they have plastic bag, paper bag,and foam recycle bins out front I drop off at
My go to spot for cake ans chicken.. Also my groceries The took a mermaid theme and turned it into the grinch colors I needed. loved it and it tasted just as good.
Shoutout to the Deli department! Excellent customer service. Almost like I was back there making my own sandwich. Sunday ritual completed. ☺️
It's my go-to grocery store since moving to Nashville in 2020. Very clean with organization of aisles that makes sense. I like the vibe.
Great for groceries. They always have fresh fruits. Prices are a bit higherthan Walmart and Kroger but overall great supermarket.
I am never disappointed when I shop at Publix. The cost is higher than most grocery stores, but the atmosphere is wonderful.
Pulix is fantastic. We got our shopping done - love the buy-one-get-one specials! - and also got some hot subs from the deli
The place to find good fried chicken, smoked ribs, or sushi. Love the team working there, and the store is always neat.
Love this store. Always clean, staff helpful, and courteous. Night and day difference from Kroeger across the street.
Clean and bright. Doesn't smell bad like a competitor down the street and staff is always polite. I'd go back.
Great store the staff was very helpful. The store was so clean. It is the way a grocery store should look.
Nice clean store. Produce is good, meat is excellent. Employees helpful and friendly. My favorite store.
Conveniently located for me. Always clean, greeted every time and have exactly what I need plus more.
The Bakery attendant was very professional and knowledgeable. I appreciated her patience and smile.
Love this staff! Vanessa in the bakery was so kind! Will definitely be back- the cakes are amazing!
