I’ve held back on my thoughts about the deli here for about a year, hoping things would change, but they have not. Don’t even bother ordering online ahead of picking your sandwich up. 9 times out of 10, they won’t even make your sandwich or even look at your order until you show up at your pickup time and ask for it. If you order something and they’re out of it, sometimes they’ll call, but most of the time they won’t, and you’ll get all the way there for them to have no sandwich for you and they won’t even think to offer a substitute for the things they don’t have. Today, for example, ordered a wrap for pickup, they had no wraps and the lady I spoke to immediately had an attitude and said she tried to call me and I can confirm with certainty she did not call me. They quite honestly just don’t care about you and they make that obvious. Over the past year I’ve ordered from this Publix deli somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 different times. Only once was it a seamless experience where my sandwich was ready at my pickup time and the person I spoke to had a kind demeanor. TLDR: Apathetic workers (there are a few really kind people here), attitude for absolutely zero reason, and an online ordering system that doesn’t even work how it’s intended to. I’m a big fan of Pub Subs, but this location in particular misses the mark entirely. It pales in comparison to other Publix Deli’s that I’ve visited. Save yourself a rodeo of inconveniences and try a different location.
I went to this Publix because it was convenient while I was in town and I was in the neighborhood. I had been in the store before as I used to live in Atlanta. I wandered around the store a little bit just to take a look at prices and so forth. This is just ridiculous! For starters Publix in Florida, for example, you very rarely walk into a store that's not perfect and clean and that's probably why they charge so much more for their groceries. This store was filthy. There was stuff everywhere disorganized the produce department looked a mess. The deli was filthy and the prices were at least 20 to 25% higher than other Publix locations. Which is one of the things I just like about Publix. The most is it. They vary the prices of items depending upon where the store is located. When you go into a Kroger, it doesn't matter if you go into a Kroger in Cincinnati, Atlanta or in between a banana costs you the same in each store. A can of soup costs the same in each store. Publix on the other hand, when they build in a wealthy neighborhood or when they've got you in a pickle where there's no other store close by raises prices to gouge you rather than keeping a standardized pricing, the only thing that may remain the same. Is sale prices in the ad? Other than that watch out
I don’t understand why adults who choose to work in the customer service/public sector are extremely disrespectful and dismissive of their customers who choose to shop at the store that provides them a living wage and benefits! Publix is known for its stellar customer service/experience, thus it why I patronize the company, but over the last year or so I’ve noticed that most not all of the employees display offensive and mean behaviors. This evening the front desk manager didn’t reply when I greeted her instead she told Ashley the customer service cashier to process the refund due to me for an over charge. Ashley didn’t look at me or say two words the entire transaction. As a HR Professional I understand we will have those moments of overwhelming frustration but your customer base shouldn’t feel it! I had a similar day but the staff at Publix would never know, I greeted Gail the cashier and the young man on duty assisting me with bagging my groceries (I brought my own reusable bags) with a smile and warm salutations. Ashley and the Female staff member that was at the front end/customer service desk, do better!
So my first time in the area and it was an hour wait to get my sub made. Tracy took her absolute time (15-20 per person) and others just watched while the line got longer and didn’t even offer a helping hand. It saddens me because people are on their lunch breaks and they offer no means of support to Tracey. I’m not sure if Tracey is overwhelmed or just doesn’t care about the customers. People only have 30-60 minute lunch breaks and the time spent in lines takes all of your break. I love Publix and this is my first time trying this location and first time getting a sub. Unfortunately, this will be my last time at this location. I will be reaching out to the manager also.
I live in the area. I have been coming to this store along time. I have a emotional dog with me all the time. I have doctor's letter with me. Never have I been approached by anyone. Today I was walking my baby with so I said I will stop by the Publix by me this White guy that worked there hollered at me and said hey you can't be in here with this dog. He said it so ugly that I didn't say anything. He approached me again. I said sir in nice way I heard you. I told him I have emotional dog and goes with me everywhere. Dogs come in this store all the time.I have a doctor's letter with me and he has a tag. I will never go back.
The last two times I came back with items missing that I was charged for. The cashier stopped ringing the items and made a hateful face and posture until I responded to her small talk. I’m guessing so I feel uneasy and not pay attention to whats going on. Plus the only bread with price tags are around $4 so I can’t find the cheap bread. Edit: 4 or 5 cops outside when I went in. One of the workers was confrontational saying “oh you don’t speak English” then walks away. Half the cops were gone by the time I was outside. There could be good workers there, but antagonizing to have me arrested is not good.
I don't usually write negative reviews but yesterday changed that approach. I went to the deli counter for some cold-cuts for a recipe, there was a customer being served in front of me and a second employee asked the customer if she was being helped. She was, obviously. The employee saw me in line but didn't ask if I needed help and went back to what she was doing. The male employee serving the customer finished with her and left the counter and didn't come back, so I stood there another 3 minutes and finally I said "okay, I guess no one wants to help me" and I left. What's up Publix???
The shelves were well stocked with fresh items. The selection was great and the store was clean. I was greeted by six team members throughout my shopping experience. The cashier was friendly with her words and facial expressions. The store was located in an area of downtown with a heavy number of homeless. Inside the store we two atlanta police officers doing a great job watching what was happening inside and outside the store. High five to this store for putting in place a security feature for their customers. I felt safe.
This is the worst Publix ever! The deli always has a line across the store and so do the registers! The managers do nothing to help the situation and when you bring it to their attention they respond with "well what do you want me to do about it?"! My response is your job! I don't mind paying Publix's higher prices because they have better customer service but when there is virtually no customer service why should I pay more?
The atmosphere was positive, vibes was good. Customer service rep went above and beyond by giving me something they didn't have by putting it in a container. The Deli is by far the best section in there. Not taking anything away from the other departments. I'm a sandwich connoisseur. They allow you to sample, select your thin or thickness, the meat selection is always on point (like a decimal).
This place has got all the makings of a general store on the rise. Dairy? Got it. Meats? Got it. Cheese? That's dairy you dork. If you need food come here. Or any other grocery store. It's definitely got some sweet folk behind the counter and security outside for the late night shoppers to feel safe. But they put up way too many Valentine's decorations this past year. Calm down muchachos
I love Publix! The cashiers are always polite the service is speedy and the restrooms are bright yet clean! The store is completely stocked every time I visit and the selections are priced perfectly. I recommend Publix for shopping because of their mission statement and involvement with local community. I recommend Publix for a delightful shopping experience for your everyday needs!
This is my go to Publix because it’s so close. I love Publix subs but I wouldn’t get one from here. Sorry to say the few times I almost did I always see flies and gnats flying over the bread and veggies, so I pass! Workers are great and helpful. I love to walk to the back in produce and hear the older man back there singing. Puts a smile on my face every time.
This isn't one of the nicer Publix that I have been in, but it had a decent assortment of food and it was convenient to where I was staying. The food prices felt high, but I am comparing them against other cities (not other stores in the Atlanta area). The parking area for the store is fairly small but seemed to be enough since spots were usually available.
Publix ain’t the same everywhere ! First time stopping over here because I wanted to get something on way my home . Went to the deli and stood there a good 5 minutes, nobody said nothing! I asked the lady if I was in the right line to make sure and the workers literally just kept walking by as if no one was there! Won’t be coming back to this one !
Decent to all classes while maintaining their high professional standards with a smile. I have been here many times, hat on hand, and never left without a smile. Managers of highest caliber. Bravo Update April 2023: though sometimes given more attention than most customers, this location remains an oasis of goodwill towards us atl unsheltered
I come to this Publix quite often and overall enjoy shopping here. However today when I went to the deli it was an unpleasant experience with the staff member Kelvin I had. He barely acknowledged me, ignored me when I asked questions and had an attitude when servicing me; hopefully he gets a better positive attitude working his position.
Just a quick shout out to the deli department for the lovely job they did with our catering order on Friday, Dec 1. As out-of-towners, it was wonderful to be able to trust one of our favorite chains with the responsibilities of preparing our lunch. Everything was just as we requested, and the food was so tasty. Thank you!
It's a small store but it has a large variety of grocery products. I was able to find Blue Runner New Orleans style red beans. Also a large selection of gluten free breads, like pita and wraps. Parking can be a little tight but it's in the middle of a lot of apartments so they don't really need a lot of parking.
Prices are better at Kroger, they always seem to be out of stuff and there's also always homeless people outside that will sometime harrass you. There's security but they don't seem to do anything about it. We use this place out of necessity but if u have a car, go to the Kroger at beltline instead.
Super nice. I couldn't believe it was so nice and friendly there that the security guards were helping people load there cars. If you're a woman it's definitely a place to feel safe shopping. I'd send my wife by herself here. Thank you Publix for such and amazing store and every staff member there.
Excellent customer service. They always have everything I need in stock. My last visit I went to the deli department to get a sandwich for lunch, they were very respectful, patient, detailed and clean work environment. I choose this location over plenty in the Atlanta metro area. 5star definitely.
I needed fax services, being that there aren't too many places to find a fax machine any more. The customer service rep was a high school senior, who had never sent a fax before. LOL but she was very patient and helpful with helping me meet a deadline with such a large project. …
Solid inner city supermarket when I go to buy most of my baking goods and spices. My only gripe is that the fresh fruits and vegetable section is lacking and you should always check the dates on the lettuce and spinach cause they often forget to take them out when they are expired.
This was like my 3rd time going there within a 6 week period, and there was no fried chicken available. They asked me to wait 20 minutes for chicken to be ready. Is it too much to ask to start frying more chicken when inventory gets low and not wait until you are completely out??
Delicious! That's was the first thing my daughter and I thought when we walked into the store! The smell of fresh bread had us racing to their hot and cold deli to get a fresh sub for me and some roasted chicken and vegetables! The smell didn't lie! Our food was Delicious!
This is my local grocery store just down the street from me and I always love coming here everything is well stocked the staff is knowledgeable and extremely friendly and it's always a pleasure to come by and visit would recommend this will always be the Publix in my heart
Okay store a close by but the prices here are extortion. Chicken is almost $2 more per lb than national average. Bread prices are almost all $5 or more for a loaf. If you can time your shopping travel to a cheaper store for the exact same quality of goods and experience.
I stopped in from Ubering...had to pick up something from the seafood dept. The young man Keenan went out of his way to help me. I got a few steamed shrimp. He answered my questions about some of the steak & other beef products. A great asset to have to your company
This was my first time coming here since I was in the neighborhood. This store lacked a lot of items that I am used to purchasing from Publix. The seafood section left much to be desired and I felt it was not stocked as well. Perhaps because its a smaller store.
Always pleasant whenever I shop at this location and some few others in the midtown area, customer services from all directions starting with management team and associates always friendly and polite very helpful ✊ …
Store layout is confusing sometimes. However, the location is always staffed with security and I've never had to worry about anyone messing with my vehicle in the parking lot. Quick in and out when working with the staff at the location and
Today I visit the deli department twice in the past two weeks both times my experience was terrible. First time I waited 40 mins to have my sub made which there wasn’t no fresh veggies . The second time today I placed an order online which
I normally go here for lunch because Publix has the best subs. Today at 5:20 pm 11/23/202 was not a good experience , Tracy in deli rushed to make my sandwich and seemed as though she had a bad attitude towards me. Also she cut my sandwich
They mess up my online order (subs/wraps) everyyy time. I would give it one star but the people at checkout are lovely. Never done on time. Never done right. Today the gave me a cold sub for the 4th straight time and I told them and they
For a company promoting a buy one get one free chicken sandwich they certainly did not have any in stock for the half hour I was shopping in there. The store did not have most of the advertised products either. I suggest the midtown one.
Everything is good except for how long it takes to get a sandwich at the deli however the sandwiches are good, but I don't think it's worth waiting 20 to 25 minutes standing in line and then paying almost $10 so I deduct a stall for that
As someone who worked for Publix for 4 years the customer service and work ethic of this Publix is the worst I have ever seen. Rude employees, old items, deli closing hours before the store, and dirty. Not up to Publix standards at all.
Not a great example of a good grocery store chain. Glad it's in the neighborhood but... Limited stock. Produce items not always available. Some aisles organized and tidy, others not so much. Hit and miss local beer selection.
This Publix has the WORST produce as far as lettuce and greens go that I've ever seen. It's pathetic. Otherwise, it's a small store, so the selection isn't the best. All the staff I've interacted with have been very nice.
Paid the same price for sliced watermelon as for a whole one. ALL of the packages consistently have the rind down to the skin at the bottom of the package. Rind pieces hidden at the bottom were about 40% of the contents.
Was getting a sandwich and I was passed over several times for people getting the fried chicken. Rude customer service but I smiled the entire time and said thank you very much. My 20 min sub sandwich was good though.
This was my FIRST time shopping at this location. The prices, per item are SIGNIFICANTLY higher than any Publix I have ever been in. The staff is GREAT, the prices UNACCEPTABLE I will never shop at this location again
I absolutely hate Publix! Overpriced is an understatement. Simple things marked up three times the normal price. I don't understand why people don't boycott. Thank God I don't have to deal with them on the west coast.
I love this store extremely clean and very well organized. Easy to find items. The staff here spoke with everyone. Went to get a cake and Ms Niki in the bakery was so helpful made it so easy to pick up the best cake.
Fast cashier service. Bakery was kind enough to put happy birthday on a cheesecake. Really busy deli counter at lunch. Nice they put out chicken and stuff to grab and go. Smaller store but has alot. Ample parking.
Seafood section is terrible. Half the time no one is there to help. The staff here is probably the worst and most unprofessional I’ve ever experienced at a grocery store. I actively avoid this location.
I love this store so much. My favorite will have to be Vegan Turkey Club from Deli. Unfortunately, they didn't have it at Alabama. Thanks to Georgia We (myself & mom) will be visiting again and again.
Smaller it seemed or maybe just flipped around. Either way this was a very nice place with plenty of parking. They even had mini shopping carts. My cashier was friendly and smiled the entire time.
Amazing food. I had the pork roast. Its so tender. The onions are tender. The mac and cheese was pretty good. Publix is number one right now to me when it comes to hot supermarket food. …
Small but excellent Publix: people are friendly and selection good for its size. Now has a pharmacy (since spring '23) and several self-checkout stations! Only problem is tight parking lot.
Great place, some confusion at the door but there is a huge parking lot for there whole foods demographic model. Looks promising Thx for keeping them in the city # greatsamiches.sushiahhhh
Nice birthday balloons selection! Helpful staff and clean store..balloons are on aisle 9 in the back. Very professional works. 1st time here and will definitely come again. …
I like going to this Publix Supermarket i always find everything i need. It is awesome. People is friendly and they are always willing to help! There is also a parking space.
One checkout lane open, and now self-service checkout. I guess I will go to Kroger. Why pay more for the same product and get provided the same level of service?
The deli department is very unbecoming of any Publix I’ve visited before. Online ordering is a joke! Customer service is non existent. Publix, you can do better!
Small small small n plenty of po po outside this a pop up Publix smells delicious the bread baking too darn SMALL but I get it.n Parkin..FORGET IT NONE BAD BAD
PubSub Picasso Stephen is the best. So friendly and professional. Great staff at the sandwich section! Jordan was super helpful. Go say hi & try a PubSub.
I went in for some watermelon, there were only 3 cut larges ones on the shelf so I asked for more, at 9:00 am they said they cut all they could cut....
Barbara the cashier customer service is EXCEPTIONAL. She’s very friendly, works swiftly , shows me the best deals and really has an eye for BOGOs .
I love Publix. This one is relatively small but has everything you could need. It’s clean and well organized, and the staff are very friendly.
This place stay busy tight parking lot the Publix is to small i don't go in there, unless emergency, but my bank Chase is over there
Pretty straight forward grocery store well layed out and clean. Great bakery items. The fresh produce section is lacking in verity.
I'm from Michigan store was nice with prices like Meijer reminded me of Meijer all the Publix stores I have visited are pretty good
Mrs. Lyn in the deli was very great and made us some great salads and Antonio is great what an awesome customer service manager
Was in the city and needed something to snack on. Store was clean and well stocked. Kind staff who made my visit pleasant.
Ms. Shayla in pharmacy is awesome. She was very helpful and patient while i filled my prescriptions for my kids! Thank you
It's a great, little grocery but a bit pricey, as to be expected from Publix. Still closes too early for me also...
Great experience as a tourist! I was looking for things that are cheaper than in Brazil or don’t exist. …
The deli department staff was not publix standards and didn't know how to prepare the seasonal falcons sub
Clean store. Spacious parking. Selection is not the best, but ok for this location and store of this size.
Nice area to live in. It has a variety of things to choose from. Love the grocery store being right there.
Very clean store, and very nice associates. Great job!!❤❤❤❤ …
A lot of things on the shelves that was best by....four months past....gross..helpful staff though
Thank you, bakery staff, for completing this birthday cake 3 hours earlier than requested.
I went to the daily and bakery, great and timely customer services from both departments.
The sandwich service is really really slow. I hope they'll get faster overtime
I love the cleanliness of the inside. Fresh fruit and vegetables!! Love it!
This Piedmont location seems smaller. Food at thf deli section is superb.
Store is clean. Staff are helpful . Deli department goes the extra step.
Shady, has police inside always. Just good for getting the minimum
Excellent and friendly staff, good choice of products, many thanks
The staff were courteous. The foods prepared tasted soo good
The place is always clean and has awesome customer service.
Clean and well stocked. Check out was fast and simple.
Great store, convenient, but expensive comparatively.
