My daughter turned 18 & where's a better place to celebrate than Restaurant E18hteen. I booked a table a week before to make sure we have a table. Thankfully, there were 2 spots left. The place is very elegant inside out. The service was perfect, food was delicious. A really amazing fine dining experience on every level. We ordered the following: Grilled Octopus The Octopus was cooked to perfection & the flavors were amazing. Vol au vent d’escargot My daughter loves escargot & she enjoyed it very much. Halibut was so good, each component was delicious, when you eat them together it was heaven. Two, 7 oz angus reserve tenderloin, it comes with two sides & a sauce. We had one with mashed & mushroom, the second fries & Ceasars salad. Both steaks were a perfect meduim rare! Mushrooms & Ceasars salad were so good, the fries were too salty. For dessert, they brought a complimentary pavalova which I thought was very sweet! It was a wonderful surprise for her. We also ordered pistachio chocolate & it was OMG! The perfect ending.

Original post was from Feb 2022 - edited by mistake: Phenomenal fine dining experience - The service we received was top notch, I believe our main server's name was Jason, and he was an absolute beauty... Checked up on us regularly and made for great conversation/gave us lots of great suggestions & info, while also giving us lots of room to enjoy ourselves and the food. The Foie gras had lots of interesting taste/texture combinations with the various sauces/chocolate crumbles it was served with. HUGE portions of duck/steak cooked to perfection for our main courses - steak was on the saltier side but delicious nonetheless. We really appreciated the fine attention to detail, both for the food and the service we received - they noticed we were taking photos of the engagement rings we had just picked up at the mall, and gave us a celebratory dessert which was a very kind gesture :))

The service and food were great. We can’t have food with alcohol in it, and there were barely any dishes that accommodate our dietary restrictions. However, our waiter talked to the chef and they adjusted the food to suit us. We had the halibut, fettuccine primavera, burrata, oysters, and amuse bouche. I recommend all of them. The overall atmosphere was very nice and relaxing. Definitely enjoyed the experience.

Did not have many nonalcoholic food options. Most of the sauces in the main dishes had alcohol in them.

Wonderful evening with tremendous host Nick, every bite starting with the amuse-bouche was spot on, duck with walnuts. My bone marrow and scallopes were perfect, but the rib eye was actually the best tasting steak I've had. Ever. And to top it off, the coconut rice pudding was not only a sight for the mind, but a delight on the lips. If u haven't been, get off your wallet and make the trip. A second waiter, mature, shaved head, looks like he'd won a fight or two in his day, made my night by seeing I needed a wine and slid by without a request. Well done sir.

Had our first anniversary dinner here last night. Neither of us had been. We chose the tasting menu with optional wine pairing. Great way to test your boundaries of food and wine. Really fun experience. It made our night unforgettable. Service was excellent place is cozy and beautiful inside. Highlight for me was the duck breast course. The smokiness paired with the red they chose was matched to perfection.

Nice quiet table in the corner by the window. Good service (must've been 3 different waiters), and good food. Although served fries with dinner, no other potato choice! Such a nice meal would go better with a creamy mash or baked potato. Jus sayin! Noticed the gents sitting on another table had a big bowl of veggies on their plates instead of the FRIES! they must've eaten there before.

We celebrated my Birthday in this gorgeous fancy restaurant. Everyone loved their meals and the service was of the highest level that made my day princess like:) Thanks! I had duck that melt in my mouth, girls had tuna tartare, stale tartare, mushrooms risotto and octopus. Starters and BD cake from the chefs‍ ‍ beautiful and yummy bonus.❤️

We had an amazing dining experience at the Restaurant e18hteen. The ambience and decor were beautiful. The food was very tasty and had a nice presentation, and the portions were big. We had the grilled octopus and steak chateaubriand for two. The steak was perfectly cooked and came with sides. The customer service was phenomenal. The servers were so helpful when it came to suggesting food options and were really friendly. Would definitely go back when visiting Ottawa!

The service and atmosphere are great, but the food isn’t. We had the octopus and the ribeye. The octopus was okay but the ribeye was not good, neither of could finish it.
