I work as a shopper for a delivery app and was here this morning picking up a delivery for a customer. The customer ordered Plan B, an emergency contraceptive. I asked the woman behind the pharmacy counter, who I assume to be a pharmacist (older lady with reddish/brownish hair) if she could give me one box. She grabbed the box and was annoyed for some reason. She said she would ring me out and I told her I had to grab one other product first as I was completing a delivery for a customer. She rolled her eyes and said "Yeah sure you are". I’m sorry, WHAT? I cannot believe that in 2022, in Canada, a pharmacist could say such a thing to a woman purchasing an emergency contraceptive. Is she a bible thumper? Is she psychotic? Is she the most bitter human that ever walked this planet? Who knows. But if she has a moral dilemma with selling contraceptives then she should absolutely not be working at a pharmacy, plain and simple. If she was this comfortable disrespecting me, a 26-year-old woman, imagine what she’s telling young girls when no one’s around? I am infuriated at the possibility of a young girl going into this Rexall, already in a hard situation and feeling scared or uncomfortable, and to have this old lady degrade her. Disgusting and shameful behaviour. I really hope that Rexall does not tolerate this woman’s actions, and that they take appropriate action to ensure this never happens to another customer again.
This place is honestly amazing and one of the staff Victoria, goes above and beyond for ppl. I am a autism worker and my client has a lot of anxiety, but really wants independence as he is a teenager. He has such comfort going to this rexall and often times Victoria is at the cash. Sometimes my client would get extremely anxious tho and he has a hard time getting out of his panic attacks. For a lot of ppl, it looks like someone who is being a brat and is going very extreme to get what he wants (which is not the case at all) But to this amazing staff Victoria, its someone who is having a hard time. She has not only helped him with his independence, but she has even help when my client gets anxious. With her understanding, beautiful nature, she always is a great help! I really hope this rexall understand how important she is as she is probably the best person who works here! My client would even say to me before he goes in "Victoria is waiting for me" as it's one of his biggest motivators. If you have a person in your life that has autism, please come here as the staff here are just incredible.
This review is for the pharmacy only. My husband and I approached the pharmacist and before we could even say anything she let us know it would be an hour wait. I looked at my husband and said we could come back in an hour. The pharmacist snapped “just so you know we don’t have Covid vaccines and I can’t answer any questions about covid. We were not there for anything Covid related, and I was a bit taken aback that she assumed that’s what we wanted. I told her it wasn’t Covid related. And she asked what it was and I explained we needed to buy a specific type of needle to fit the medication my husband is on that comes in a pen. She snapped “we don’t have that, try shoppers.” I let her know that they did have it because we had called the evening before and whomever was on duty confirmed they did. On top of that we could see them on the shelf! She was flustered and we just walked away. Bottom line never assume what your customer is looking for and don’t lie to them! We won’t attempt to use this pharmacy again.
Wow, I used to enjoy this Rexall. Until I had to interact with the pharmacist. Mohamed Shawkat folx. I stopped in while running errands to get my flu shot for herd immunity. This shoddy manager was on the phone the whole time and barely looked at me. Asked if I had 15-20 mins to wait after the shot then took 10 to enter my info while speaking on the phone. I ask about the nasal spray option because I don't like needles and am informed that it's not covered for adults and to go to a walk in clinic. I also asked about getting a Naloxone kit as well (you know better safe than sorry), and was pretty much ignored. Think I'll start going to Shoppers on Parliament instead /smh
The Hypocratic Oath says "first, do no harm". But the pharmacist at this Rexall apparently feels that it's okay for his coworkers to do harm to his customers. His coworker, a tall old man with white hair, was standing right at the door of the store, wearing his Rexall name tag and smoking. I went inside and told the pharmacist, and he said "uh huh. anyway, can I help you with something prescription-related?" So he definitely doesn't CARE if someone is hurting his customers. Therefore, do not provide this scum with income by patronizing this location. Choose a location where they CARE about people's health. Customers=employers.
I have been a customer/patient of Rexall Pharmacy on Parliament for 10+ years. If there’s one thing I’m known for it’s having a keen eye for pharmaceuticals. I’ve tried other Shoppers and Rexall locations and can honestly say this is the best pharmacy in the city. While there have been one or two mishaps along the way, they always take the extra time to fix mistakes and work with my absent minded procrastinations. The pharmacy manager MO and Jennifer are the cream of the crop. They are both very consultative and keep track of side effects better than my doctors.
Pharma Plus Pharmacist Kelly makes a flu shot pleasant not painful and for that I have to credit her top marks. Walked into this Pharma Plus mid-November 2018 for my free flu shot after dinner next door at Kingyo. Store is clean and well organized. Pharmacist Kelly was on duty and was really super nice and professional about giving me my shot. I should come here every year for my flu shot! Staff at the front cash seemed pleasant too. I would certainly be a regular customer if I lived in the area.
This location is mobility accessible. The location is convenient to Cabbagetown. The store has a lot of space in the aisles to move around and the store looked well merchandised and full. It this store was slightly closer to my home this would be my go to Rexall. The staff member at the checkout was very friendly and she noticed something on one of our bottles and without even saying anything, she quickly wiped it off as she bagged it.
Clean, friendly store. My main complaint is overall how ‘Rexall’ works. Tried to bring a return in but couldn’t complete the transaction since they didn’t carry that product at their location. Have to spend an extra 40 minutes in my day going back to original purchase Rexall location. If I buy from Rexall shouldn’t it be on Rexall to relocate its inventory?
After being treated horribly by some old queen pharmacist at shoppers drug mart at Yonge and Carlton I took my business to Rexall. This location on Parliament St is the closest to my home. The pharmacist has continually been a huge help and has always been so professional. The store is clean and well presented. They have my business now.
Ran out of my prescription that is literally changing the way my brain responds to one of the most addictive substances on the planet... for 72hrs... because this pharmacy apparently cannot check inventory at an appropriate time for a refill. Will never go back to pharmacy or the store. Would give 0 stars if I could.
It was a very long wait to ask the pharmacist a question. He appeared to not even notice me and the other people waiting ahead of me as he casually chatted on the phone. A mere acknowledgement of our existence would have made the wait seem less painful, resulting in a much better review than the one I am giving now.
Great location. Very clean and spacious. They have great sales and it never seems to get too crowded This location seems to have more selection than the shoppers a few blocks away. Definitely the best pharmacy in this neighborhood. The staff is always amazing and helpful too
super spacious and comfortable. less busy than some downtown locations, so it is a great place to ask pharmacists for assistance, as they actually can give you some attention. the staff is friendly and attentive, I always enjoy going there.
Friend of mine was treated like a thief because of her appearance and a disability she has that causes tics. Way to contribute to the reenforcement of negative stereotypes through some of your employees' prejudicial attitudes.
I'm a black woman and I'm usually in a rush when I come into this store but noticed that I was being followed by staff but brushed it off. I just left the store and was abolutely followed around aisle by aisle.
Heard a bunch of yelling one aisle over, went to check it out... turns out it was the staff pranking each other. Same thing happened with another few staff members five minutes later. Pretty unprofessional...
This is a wonderful pharmacy! The staff are very friendly and always helpful, and the pharmacists are the very best - they are always welcoming and friendly and provide well-informed advice and assessments!
Convenient location. Store is clean, tidy and spacious. Cashier (Tamim) is super friendly, helpful and nice, and I appreciated it (especially since it was toward my aging mom).
Worst place ever ... they don't have anything good from other rexall stores... dirty , rude , no help and pharmacy is also so bad ... not recommended at all
Good selection. Friendly Staff. Open later than Shopper's. Former Blockbuster location for nostalgia. What more do you need? Heaven of a pharmacy.
Incredibly helpful and caring people in the pharmacy department! They go the extra mile to make sure you get your medication in a timely fashion
Good selection. Clean store. Flexible hours. More inside than you think, including decent last minute food items.
Check your receipts, the prices advertised are not the actual prices that ring up. It’s purposely misleading.
Best pharmacists ever. We are grateful for Mohammed and Jennifer who are always so kind and helpful
Never busy drug store cabbage town cause there is a larger shoppers. down the road
Clean and quiet, lots of selections. easy and fast to get in and getout.
Pretty good place - a cute pharmacist named Jennifer works there too.
Staff are unfriendly, rude, and need to take people skills training.
A little on the pricey side... Watch for their Flyers to save big
My local pharmacy. They always have to during the shortages.
Great store with great selection and layout! Very clean!
