I first moved out here about four years ago, from the Whyte Ave/99th street area. As you can imagine, I gave up a lot of wonderful places to eat, shop, and hang out. But that's okay, because the RioCan Meadows is fantastic. By no means a replacement, but it certainly makes up for what I lost out there, and even offers some things I never had. This little mall has everything you could need, dotted all over its landscape. Superstore. Walmart. Best Buy. Branches of three major banks. Three clothing stores. Nearly two dozen eateries. And the best part is, construction is still ongoing and there are vacant lots yet to be filled. This is a wonderful place to be if you don't have a car.

Superstore and gas bar, Spa Lady, Dollar Tree, Mucho Burrito, Dominos, Edo, Chutneys, Best Buy, Moores, Petsmart, Winners, Laura, Dollarama, Staples, Home Depot, CIBC, Royal Bank, TD Bank, Mark's, Bell, Telus, Montanas, Swiss Chalet, Subway, Bone & Biscuit, Royal Dental, RBC Insurance, Hakim, Little Caesars, Freshii, Chatters and Sleep Country to name a few. Lots more to shop. Not to busy in the area until after lunch. Just off 17 st and Whitemud, easy access. And with more stores across 17 st in Tamarack area, this is a pretty nice area to explore stores etc. Nicely laid out.

I went to best buy I need a cell case. But had my driving glasses on and couldn’t read what I was looking for. So I went to the back desk to ask for help the man there was happy to help me. He stayed with me till I had what I wanted help put it on as well walked with me to get help to pay. But it got declined and I had to get help to pay for it they let me sit and wait for cash to be sent. They didn’t get rude or ask me to leave. I paid thanked them for there help and waiting some times you have things declined I do anyway.

Large multi building retail with virtually every store you can imagine, very similar to south edmonton common. Biggest drawback is the design of the roads within the complex and the placement of stop signs with are virtually invisible. Almost every time I have been there I have seen a small fender bender. Good place to go, just be aware that signage is poor so dont assume the person coming up to a stop sign is actually going to see it and stop.

Everything is fairly close by, the stores are great, but it is deeply hindered by the confusing and often times dangerous pathways. Some potholes, sharp corners and large tree branches obscure roads and entrances. There is a definite bias towards cars and against cyclists and pedestrians. Bike racks are almost non-existant and if they are provided, they are often loosely secured (better off using the trash cans or a tree to secure anything).

Normally, I'm a 4 or 5 star kind of reviewer. Not this time. Even after I had to explain, and show the sales rep an image of the OTG cable I required, he insisted that a different product would work. He was completely indifferent to my knowledge and expertise regarding my request. In the end, I just left. I'll give 2 stars because he knew where the USB cables were located, and he did ask if there was anything else I needed.

Not too impressed. I had a brown lady tell me that all their phones are dual SIM cards and they could not price match because of this then when I got the phone hooked up and I got a second line I decided to put my SIM card in the dual SIM card part to find out that it did not exist. She lied to me and made me spend extra money for no reason. They did not offer me a return so I can get some of my money back

Staff did not offer assistance each time they walked passed, but I didn't ask myself. I did manage to find what I was looking for (camera bag). Prices are what you'd expect from big box. The cashier did spend most her time speaking with the other employee behind the counter (albeit about the job) but it would have been nice to have her complete her transaction with me first.

  • Monkey Nut

They've got some good stuff here. Almost a one stop shop. I'm not sure if the stores right across the road on 17th street are included in this shopping center. But there's a grocery store, home depot, Walmart, Sally's, dollarama and more. Everything's a bit spread out but still not too bad if you're walking from store to store. And there's a transit center right there too.

  • Bryan

Best Buy, Superstore, Staples, Marks, Dollarama & Petsmart are among this shopping centre that make it possible to avoid South Edmonton Common. There is a considerably good amount of parking. Its easily accessed from 17 street. note: If you're driving East on 38 street, you wont be able to access the shopping centre. You'll have to use the East or West entrances.

  • Karan Kaushal

Live close by so it's quite easy for me, 1. Walmart 2. Home depot 3 superstore 4 staples 5. Dollarama List can go on multiple banks, mobile shops, pharmacy, dental clinics. A lot of options available, for food a separate section like domino's, nachos, etc etc. One stop area for majority of house hold needs for daily use can be met in this area.

  • Immanuel Garcera

Great outlet with various stores and restaurants to choose from. Popeyes is close by, there's a Home Depot, Dollarama AND Dollar Tree. There are pet stores, fast food places, grocery stores, a Shoppers and there's a transit centre close by. It's usually busy though because it's right by Whyte Mud and 17th street so be aware of traffic.

  • Ellen Reid-Schaffler

Love this shopping area. Different stores like Best buy, Staples and Superstore. Also variety of places to eat or just for take out. I like going to my dentist there.(Core dental - whitemud) Everything here is convenient to my home. Walmart is just across 17 street. Why would I drive anywhere else when I can get what I need here.

  • Minesh Mehta

A well maintained shopping complex at Meadows where one can get things of day to day use. Has varieties of shops like Winners, Best buy, etc. for electronic products. Real Canadian Super Store, Dollarama, Banks. Co-Op Gas station where one can gas at cheaper rate. Fast food shops are also there. Worth giving try.

  • Jeff Oliver

Not a fan of these separated big box stores . If I need to make multiple stops then I need to fight traffic and fight for parking stalls between each and every store visit. Big time waster and causes unnecessary extra driving. Have abandoned some shopping there over driving/parking issues in the recent past.

  • tai do

RioCan Meadows is a commercial development located in the northern edge of Meadows neighborhood in Edmonton. There are many popular retail store such as Home Depot, Real Canadian Superstore, Best buy, Walmart Super Centre , Shoppers Drug Mart and so on. Very convenient for the Southeast Edmonton residents.

  • K. M.

It was fine, was curbside pick up only , they seemed to have that under good control as it was at the beginning of pandemic. Although many customers coming didn't seem to know they had to order online (not pay,) then pick up. I know I got the memo but I guess a lot of customers didnt know

  • no-or-man

I fail to understand why shopping districts can not be planned better for things such as flow of traffic, road and building locations to maximize traffic flow and encourage cross shopping, etc. They can be so much better but aren't. This area does have good stores so I frequent it often.

  • Greg Scratchley

Rather spread out complex covering several square blocks. It's really down to the shops you favour. Constantly under construction, and the main thoroughfare is more like a 4-way stop marathon than a way to get around. Know where you need to go, and find one of 4 entrances to get closest.

  • Maleboligia

Best Buy has radically changed their layout and it seems to be a vendor sponsored boutique shop for very specific brands. appealing to the more affluent Shoppers despite selling nothing that you can't get somewhere else. I'm sure their customers like it but I'm not one of them anymore.

  • M C (馬克)

This is my favorite best buy. Better than south side best buy. Let me compare Southside is the worst customer service and this one is the better one, Southside is worst in handling your issue and doesnt care about you as a customer but this one is perfect and really adhere your issue.

  • lucien g

Lots of stores, parking lots are frustrating sometimes and the Fourway stops/speed bumps near superstore and Home Depot are lined up terribly resulting in double stops and confusion. This is not the stores fault as far as I know, but take it easy when driving through the back area.

  • Johnelle A.

Went to the Scotia Bank at this location. The service was great even though their system was mostly down. Only one computer was working. They let us know what was happening so we weren’t standing there wondering. I’ll always go to this location. They have great customer service!

  • Shubham Khatri

I loved their service and I am very impressed with the staff. They were supportive and friendly. I also bought an asus laptop from this best buy at a really great offer going on for students. I am loving it with all it's protection plan. Guys You should go and check it out.

  • Sonu Bhagat

I m fully satisfied.. Coz I did fill course from someone other n failed at that time coz they did not clear me all instructions which are important on roads n while we r driving. But from RioCan I just take 3 classes n got passed in driving license test.. Thank you …

  • Vikki B

The produce at the superstore is good and while busy on weekends it isn't as crowded as other places in the city. More stores are opening giving more go ices for food and shopping. Great for quick trips to grab something but not enough choice for a day of shopping.

  • Andrew Dennison

Decent shopping complex. Very poor design of the road network. Every road seems to be a after thought after building a retail store. The 4 way stops are madning as only half the people driving know to navigate a 4 way then to top it off they add speed bumps.

  • Ron Graham

A typical outdoor mall with some retailers that a person needs to visit from time to time. My usual location.of interest here is the Best Buy which is their closest location to my home. The rest of this mall is good.with plenty of parking and easy access.

  • Sidd SS

Its all about new technology and understanding how it can be used which was well explain by the fellow BestBuy tech, no entry with out face covering. Several items on sale already, like Projectors, hand held devices, Dison Vacuums cleaners etc.

  • David Dawkins

Better now than it was when the Bus depot first went in across the road. Convenient, decent choice of stores and banks. Starbucks is bailing out though. No pure coffee shop west of 17th at that point. Can we get an independent roaster? Please.

  • George Zakhary

I was looking everywhere for someone to help me buying a printer, finally someone came after over 20 minutes though the store was not crowded at all, staff seems distracted & not willing to help as much as they used to in the past...

  • Jonathan

A lot of great stores here, but the reason for 3 stars is for the way the roadways are designed to get in and out along with the annoying speed bumps located just before the four way stop. Great stores, but a pain to get around.

  • Kevin Howe

Best buy is more expensive than most and offers a lousy customer service experience coupled with a difficult return policy. Unless you see an advertisement for a sale which sometimes there are deals to be had. Don't bother

  • hughbetcha23

over priced phone cases. suggest buying on amazon for cheaper, trust me. i was looking at a case for my new s20+ and the price was $50 for a plane phone case and i got mine from amazon for 12.99 and delivered the next day

  • Colby

Lots of great stores for pretty much everything you need. The parking lot is a bit of a mess to navigate and seems poorly designed. On the plus there is lots of parking available to you’ll always find a spot.

  • Jeramy Torrance

Close to home with a wide variety of essential stores. As RioCan continues to develop, my need to travel further into the city central diminishes as almost all necessities are now available in one location.

  • Michael Swanson

Nice enough location to get the essential. This is definitely one of the cleaner and friendlier locations in the city. Almost always clean and organized. I enjoy the proximity to home and speed of service.

  • Laurie Thomas

Went to pick up a receipt that was printed off and the customer service desk could not find the receipt although the duty manager was able to find it quickly. Staff were attempting to be helpful though.

  • Lisa-Marie Huisman

It wasn't busy. Found what I was there for no problem. They have different carts around the food area that have discounted items. Prices were fine considering food prices everywhere are ridiculous.

  • Eryck Silva

There major stores here and although there are several places to eat, there are not a large variety. Some areas have.plenty of parking space, but others such as by the TD bank is small and crowded.

  • Jasmine

Been here a couple of times now, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about each product. Returns are super fast and easy to make. Really clean and taking great precautions for COVID too.

  • NINJA-VANISH tv

Decent selection of stores. If you were coming in from another City, I would go to South Edmonton Common or a mall. I think these stores are just more of a convenience for the neighboring homes.

  • Ashfaq Noor

Shopping mall with many big store's and shops. It has shops and stores both sides of 17 Street. There is super store, Walmart, home depot and many takeaway restaurants and few clothing chains.

  • Leslie Parker

The same variety of stores you'd find at South Edmonton Common, but without the crazy crowds. The Walmart and Superstore are a bit smaller but well-stocked, and parking is easy to come by.

  • Vinnie F

Great selection of stores, everything is spread out enough and there are lots of entrance/exits so it doesn't get too congested; even on the busiest of days. Would definitely recommend!

  • Gagandeep Khosa

Great shopping area, lots of stores and I love the superstore here. Just one thing that bothers me is that I don’t know how they have planned the roads, could be alot better and safer!

  • Susan Bergunde

This area has islands of different business and retail stores, in an area that is thriving. Most of these businesses are really good to shop at and the staff are willing to help you.

  • Jim Bird

the 4 way stop between home depot and superstore is useless, slows down traffic and the stop sign is missing from south side of street, good case for being at fault in an accident

  • Sarita Francis

Like going here, have good stores, could have more shopping for the amount of open space. Parking is always available, staff are pretty friendly at all the stores in that area.

  • J Jones

BEST BUY Double charged me on a TV purchase. A week of arguments still not resolved and no resolution in sight. Beware. Awful customer service. Lost a long time customer here

  • Adam Morrison

Generic open air shopping district. Has a good variety of fast food and a best buy and superstore as anchors. Very much a smaller south Edmonton common, or a smaller Skyview

  • William

Loss prevention followed me all over the store without a good reason. They profiled me as a criminal trying to steal from them. I paid for my shopping and haven't gone back

  • Jerry E. Matias , Jr.

It's always a pleasure grocery shopping at Superstore knowing that there are a lot of good items on Sale that I can buy and use at home that fits my weekly grocery budget.

  • Ohmbuoy Kabo

Great choice of retailers from two dollar outlets to hardware several banks, multitude of eating experiences, service stations, etc. Very convenient and well thought out.

  • Jeff Davis

Good assortment of stores, however more sit down restaurants would make this rating a 5 star, the only sit-down restaurant is Montana's, everything else is fast food.

  • Bryce Volk

Pet Smart!!! Staff is helpful and has everything I could eve want...and more! Look for the surprise coupons that save you $ 10 on a purchase usually over a weekend.

  • Dave Foster

Went to Staples. They had what l needed. This area has grown into a grey shopping destination. Wide variety of businesses and easy to get to with lots of parking.

  • Glenn Gantly

Relatively large shopping complex. Contains major banks, Real Canadian Superstore, Home Depot, Best Buy and a good variety of food service and smaller retailers.

  • Tejinder Singh

Riocan meadows is shopping. Plaza too many stores here superstore home depot winners best buy dollrama marks. Pet smart cibc bank too many fast food centre here

  • Joy Conway.

We were only there for a short time but there was lots of parking and it was fairly easy to get in and out of the lot. Clean and a good selection of shops.

  • Sir Kodlington

Good day up and mix of box stores, groceries, home improvement, banking etc. There's a pho soup place in there that I have yet to try but smells dynamite.

  • Sarb Khatra

Good clean store, good selection of electronic and home improvements. Lot of staff to help out, floor, displays clean, some displays were missing items...

  • alex

Too many people here that idle. Area has overgrown this strip mall's capability. Good chance someone that will reverse out of their park stall into you.

  • Marc Cormier

Aside from their drying machines steady breaking down, it's a great facility with ample parking, childcare, indoor playground, and plenty of entryways.

  • Mohammad Ziaullah Khan

Big place for shopping. Lot of store with gas station and restaurants make it nice shopping place. Bus terminal is also there.banks are also available.

  • Chris Koehn

Good for BestBuy on DVD release date days. Also Staples for, uhh, pens n stuff. Surprised Amazon hasn't made these places completely irrelevant yet.

  • A. I.

It's hit or miss with the products. Staff are not always knowledgeable in where products are don't seem to be interested in really helping clients.

  • mmm _1010

A couple of grocery options, lots of gasoline stations, some small chain fast food restaurants. Easy access from our area so we often end up here.

  • Sadi

If you are buying laptops, often laptops are not up to the mark, you're bound to exchange or refund in 14 days till you get the good one. Grrrrr

  • Dan Grewal

Very busy but the staff still helped me with my Christmas list and took the time to explain a few things while helping others at the same time

  • Michael Lund

Bought my first LG 65" 120hz 4k tv (sk8000), service was excellent, knowledgeable staff and great help getting it to vehicle. Will shop again.

  • Dennis Amato

Love going to the to see the new tv's,love this place, curious, why just after you buy something new,a week later a newer version is on display?

  • TRYN Tryn

Well, it's very spread out so a vehicle is a must. But there is two, thats right TWO dollar stores. And superstore liquor store is the bomb

  • Diane nelson

This is my 'go to' best buy location. its not crazy busy like south common and way more friendly people. would recommend anyone to go here.

  • Ryan Sorensen

Decent services offered here. Traffic flow seems fairly reasonable in this area. Fairly accessible via the Whitemud and the Anthony Henday.

  • Tre Free

Good stores here if you like food and electronics. Also a home depot here. All in one spot. Buy a drill, a phone, a PS4, and a quick lunch

  • Ali Syed

Just be careful with price tags, read carefully. Offer could be minimum purchase requirements or a higher price in a small font size etc.

  • Filip Sturzoiu

Great shopping area, i find it more than sufficient as a resident. I wish there wasn't a gigantic speed bump at every intersection tho!

  • Alexandra Wannamaker

Great little out of the way shopping mall. Missing a star because the parking lot could be taken care of a bit better. Always potholes!

  • Brent Pullishy

What is to review, it's a strip mall. Adequate parking in some places, gong show in others. Main roads often need more care in winter.

  • LIZZY

This store is very open and wide in most areas organized easy to find things they list their stuff very carefully so yeah shop there

  • Red Hagar

Not a big store but it is out of the way enough that they often have stock of popular items that none of the other locations do!

  • Laurel Baizley

Love this little mall. Lots of parking, great stores, and I've visited most of them. I also love the variety of eating places.

  • Sue Laplante

Love Your Store It's Very Nice & So Are The Staff Members !! Great To Have You In The Community !! …

  • Juergen Welz

Not liking the whole self checkout bias I'm seeing more and more. Walmart is worse yet. Customer help is generally poor here.

  • Stan Dworkowski

Location is great! Access points are confusing! Roads that look cool and stylish likely aren't' practical... Just my thought!

  • Neil Adamson

To much traffic and people need learn how a 4 way stop works ... like seriously.. just cause it nice out rules still apply..

  • Ken Parent

Great little mall that has grown over the years. No more Best Buy so unsure why it's the caption photo for this mall still.

  • Jessica Drouin

Store is well kept.....Nice and clean!!! Never really to busy so u will always have first pick on anything in the store ; )

  • Doug Senger

Shopping district is maintained. Most shops are finally open. Life is still not back to pre covid, truly getting better...

  • Healthy Hero

Nice and clean location. Lot of varieties available. Friendly staff. You can collect pc optimum points and do price match.

  • Metal FX, Brock ceo Metal FX (Metal FX)

They don't seem to have much, but supply chain management issues make it hard. Hopefully Best Buy can figure this out ...

  • maggie m

Everything you need in one place. Several banks all drive thru, food ,clothes Best buy even a homedepot. Very handy.

  • Mitch Lien

Lot's of stores around to suit everyone's needs. The lots are kept pretty clean and snow removal is done regularly.

  • Felicity H.

Very convenient location and one stop shopping! Located right off henday and white mud makes it easy accessibility.

  • Jennifer Chambers

I find people very rushing and pushy but it’s a great place for shopping with access to lots of food choices

  • Haylee Gustafson

So nice and close to my home, and has everything I need. No more traveling to more distant shopping centers.

  • Gurpreet Dhaliwal

Grate shopping center Home depot, super store, banks, food stores, two dollar stores, many more gasoline ⛽️

  • Kim Duguay

Staff was very helpful, but the old man needs to deal only with who he is, & stay out of other staffs part.

  • S R

It’s nice and convenient to come here. The location is great and it’s easy to travel around stores a lot.
