Sunday, May 28th 2023 After living in this neighborhood close bby for a little over 30 years, today's experience pretty much put the last nail in the coffin. I simply went to get some of the corn that was on sale. There was no corn out just husks everywhere. I went to the bakery and ask the nice young lady if she could page somebody in produce. She did. I waited exactly 10 minutes and then went to customer service. I told them I had somebody page but nobody showed up so he paged somebody. I walked back and stood there for exactly 15 min. The nice lady in the bakery noticed I was still standing there so she came up to me and said show running back and see if somebody can come out. Moments later she said nobody was there. She asked what I was looking for and I told her about the corn. She said hold on and went back there and look for it and came back out and told me she could not find it. At least someone in the bakery was nice enough to acknowledge my existence. I walk to the store up and down the aisles looking for a manager to let them know how nice she was but I couldn't even find a manager to give a compliment let alone a complaint. Their prices are higher than Frys and their customer service sucks. Old review update: Ever since they installed the self-checkouts, it's much better. If you can't go through self check up then the lines can get pretty long but that's mostly due to people waiting till everything is scanned and then start looking for their debit card or cash. 30 second to 1 minute delay for person that is inconsiderate in that manner adds up to 5 minutes when you're standing at the back of the line. Most everyday I get is just a handful so I'm very happy with this I'll check out. Old review: We've been shopping center since they opened but we don't visit that much anymore because they never seem to have enough lines open. Just running to the store for milk can be a 20-minute trip because you stand in line for a good 15 minutes. It's faster to drive down to Fry's that's 3 miles further down the road. Even if it takes as long, it's less frustrating. Nothing burns me up more than standing in a long line to give someone my money.
I had a really disappointing incident tonight. I placed an online order for pickup at the store, but there were issues with the service. The person in charge of handling FedEx packages, Aaron, was not available at the customer service/FedEx counter during working hours. After waiting for a while, I had to ask other Safeway staff for help, and Aaron finally emerged from a dark glass room next to the counter. His behavior was rude and he rushed to give me my package. When I got home, I realized that only part of my order was included. I had to go back to the store to retrieve the remaining items. Unfortunately, Aaron was still hiding in the dark room and refused to communicate. He even threatened to call security when I tried to discuss the issue. I had to seek help from the store manager. Having to visit the store twice due to Aaron's mistakes is incredibly frustrating. I've been going to this Safeway for years, and overall the shopping experience has been good. It's clear that Aaron hates his job and doesn't care about the store's reputation. Such a bummer.
I was shopping there for a few things today and as soon I was finish, I went to the customer service to buy another item. There was a male person who I ask "Are you in line?" he said yes. I stand behind him, next thing he left the line. So I stand behind a lady and another person right in front of her, that makes two people in front of me. Apparently, not even a minute the male person came back and he cut in front of me. Also another lady cut in front of me as well while standing behind. I can't believe they did that to me, I wanted to say something but I don't want to cause a scene because the people who I was in line were one race ethnicity. I was afraid those four who would start attacking me because of their ethnicity also cutting in line. I hope they will have one or two security guards to stand at the customer service to watch people, because I don't like people cut in front of me while I was in line purchasing items.

Because obviously it should be okay for Angela to walk around with a nasty mug on all time looking at everyone with disgust. That’s who I want to give my money to, people who hire people who hate their job. & maybe her name is not even Angela. She was packing & delivering online orders to Cars on Nov, 28th 2023 around 5pm. Thin Dark Hispanic Young Girl. Learn some customer service or get a different job where you don’t see people & are not bothered by their existence.

I watched several people try to get his attention while he sat on his phone. He was unhelpful and acted annoyed when people asked him normal questions about the deli meat/seafood. I don’t think I have unrealistic expectations for service at a Safeway deli. But at least get off your phone and help the line of customers waiting for you. I usually have a good experience here, and the other staff are helpful and honestly awesome (I want to make that clear as they are great, especially the shorter guy who is there most of the time). I am just very disappointed by the poor customer service of this one individual.
The Starbucks barista Chris who works on Saturday is one of the most confrontational disgruntled human beings I have ever met. I don’t understand why someone who really doesn’t enjoy their work or simply remaking an order (I didn’t want the apple drizzle, asked him to remake it) would be that burdensome. There wasn’t a line behind me. And then he tried to say he was the manager and said he couldn’t remake the order. But the real store manager was just laughing and smiling while asking him why he didn’t want to remake the order. Well I guess being buddies with the store manager gives you permission to treat customers however you wish.
Bad store or Bad Company? $60 Overcharge! The manager, Rafael, didn't even apologize because " it's the company's fault" $39 dollars refunded in-store, even though they first tried to deny refund and made me go back in the isle and bring the price tag from the shelf. Wasted 15 minutes of my time. Further review at home revealed more overcharges, so I returned to the store. This is when Rafael showed that he could not care less because it was not his fault . Additional $25 refunded.Not many supermarkets in this area, so if you must shop here, be very careful about your receipt . I certainly will not shop at Safeway again!
I went there to use the bathroom today and a black guy employee good me I couldn't use the bathroom. I asked him why he just told me to leave. This is the same guy who was in the bathroom a couple months back for like a half an hour and seemed to be upset with me last time when I asked him how long he'd be. To which I waited sky 15 minutes asked him again he said a minute then about 8 minutes later I asked another employee to check on the person in the bathroom cause he was ignoring me then when the employee knocked the guy came out of the bathroom finally. IDK? If this was his way of being a jerk.
I was going to give two stars because I thought I could at least give that. However, once I tasted the chicken salad I was instantly hit with bland flavor, no taste of anything really. It was quite shocking, I don't ever go to Safeway for anything and the time I do because I'm hungry I get hit with mostly bread for starters. Secondly, hardly any chicken salad which I'm not sure if thats good or bad given the utter lack of taste. I was just disappointed plain and simple.
Affordable prices, great selection, and convenient location right along multiple bus lines. The staff are friendly, albeit very busy, and the facilities are clean, well-organized, and presentable. All in all, a great place to grab a quick bite or load up for the week. I'd also definitely recommend downloading the app to take advantage of any coupons, rewards, and savings on in-store deals. I was able to save 32% off my last receipt that way!
The guy name Miguel the one that works at Starbucks, don’t recommend he is terrible he pulls out his phone while doing customers drinks! He tossed my drink and the straw, look like he didn’t know what he was doing. I am very very extremely disappointed! What happen to the boy name Alex? He has good customer service and treats his customers with respect. The other two people also great customer service they outgoing and hard working people.
Went in on 3-6-2023 to place a order for my daughter 18th birthday cake and I ask for it to be ready by the 3-7-2023 and the lady with red hair put on the receipt 3-7-2023 but supposedly when I call today 3-7-2023 some girl says it has the date for Wednesday which would be 3-8-2023 makes no sense just ruined my daughter birthday smh train your worker better so they can read the dates on the receipt
The deli salads here are freshly prepared each morning starting at 3am. You can see how beautiful they are! And they are tasty too! They make lasagna, meatballs, different varieties of baked meat. They have tons of baked goods too, tuxedo cake is my personal favorite! You must get up early one morning and visit this Safeway!!❣️❣️ …
Thought I'd try ordering my groceries ahead to save time... Ended up sitting in my car for 15 minutes waiting... I'm pretty sure I could have shopped faster, as I only purchased like 8 things. On top of that, everything here is more expensive than Fry's so I really try to avoid shopping here. That being said, staff is friendly and helpful.
people always say that Safeway in albertsons are the more expensive of the grocery stores but reality is if you're smart about your purchases and you utilize their app in their digital coupons you save a lot. I just saved 63% of the original cost of the items I bought. What that means just in case- I got every item for more than 1/2 off.
Robert the meat department manager is awesome.he’s the only one that if I need some meat cut he does it for me of course there’s a charge for that but I don’t care. Everyone else in other Safeways refuse to do it or don’t do it at the thickness I need it. I come from east Mesa and still I go to my favorite Safeway on 7st and McDowell
I really like this Safeway. I actually live closer to Fry's and Walmart but I go out of my way too go to Safeway because their store is so clean and I can easily get in and out of the parking lot and they're produce and meat are very fresh and there's a lot of variety
Always clean. It's usually my "I forgot to buy this 1 thing to make dinner" place. I feel that I can get better meat deals in other safeways but this place is usually super clean, friendly staff and very small lines to pay if you don't want to do self checkout.
1st time at this location. Everyone is always so kind, stores are always clean. Cashier sharee was extremely impatient, and rude to several customers. I changed registers because did not want to be helped by her.
App is a ploy to extract personal information. "Deals" are a lie. It's a rip off every time. Tonight I left empty handed. Went specifically for a particular product. Won't be back. Don't waste your time.
This Safeway is filled with rude employees & extremely overpriced food...Most of the products here contain toxic preservatives & many are from China. The women's bathroom looked like a crime scene.
Didn't have what I wanted. Was going to buy a single item but the lines were way too long and way to slow. Walked out. I get that it is the "after work" rush... management should plan for that.
Great store to shop at. If you use the coupons and membership discounts, you can get great products at an excellent price. I just got Tillamook shredded cheese ( my favorite) for $1.97 each!!!
