The first time I visited this club was 2 years ago and back then it was amazing. However, they have downgraded. Drinks are $8.50 for a single shot which is crazy considering many other clubs offer cheaper drinks. Plus, you can only pay cash now when debit was allowed before; and the atm machines are glitchy and obviously charge a $5 fee on top of the money you deposit. The coat check rule is absolutely ridiculous as they will not let u hold onto your coat or put the coats back into your car as you can no longer enter the club a second time (even after security has checked and approved them). You must pay if u bring a coat/jacket into the club, so best not to bring one and freeze in the (very slow) line outside. The new woman security guard they have hired is absolutely insane and had a horrible attitude. Was not nice when you walked into the door for a body check and is consistently walking into the women’s washroom every 2 Minutes and grabs people’s vapes out of their hands even if they aren’t vaping and simply readjusting the vape in their pocket or purse. When you ask if you can have the device back and for her to throw the pods out, she says she threw it out as “you don’t follow the rules of the club so that’s what you get”. When I complained about this to another male security guard, he gave serious attitude and sarcasm and told us we had to stay until after 3 to retrieve it. Seriously get a life and stop thinking you’re a police officer on a power trip towards people who aren’t doing anything wrong. Not to mention, while waiting in line I noticed the security made someone walk a line to prove he wasn’t under the influence which is new, and he seemed to be walking perfectly fine. Only good comments as of now are very friendly bartenders and great selection of music including throwbacks, country on dirty dogs side, and edm. However, this establishment used to be much better in all aspects regarding security measures and cost of drinks.

This is an horrible place to be. For the past 2 months, I have been sampling clubs to know the best within the Hamilton region. Club Seventy Seven is the worst. The moment I approached the door, The security guy asked me to for my identity which I gave him, rather than allow me to go in. He then asked me to walk to ascertain if I was drunk. I asked him, that is discriminating, though, eventually, I obliged and walked to show I was not drunk. He was not satisfied with my steps and concluded I was impaired and barred me from entering the club. I was not perturbed by this racist security guy at the door because there are other places to go. My concern is how he treats black people at the door. He called other security personnel to come and help kicked a black man out of the city sidewalk. Which I told him the sidewalk is not a private property - It is a public property- and the security guy has no right whatsoever to evict someone from public space except the police. Anyway, I just wanted to inform the general public to be wary of Seventy seven especially if you are a black person because the security personnel can make up stories about you with the intent to cause chaos and blame it on the innocent black guy.

I have been coming to this club for a few years now on and off with friends. Normally, we have a great time and the service is amazing. The past few times, it’s seems that one of the “bouncers”, has it out for a specific friend of mine. Denying her valid ID, claiming it’s not her because her “facial structure” is completely different. It has happened multiple times now which leads me to believe it is a personal vendetta. We have had no other issues at other establishments but every time we meet this specific bouncer at this club he has a problem with us. It makes me question his intentions and if he is even FIT to be working here. Will not be returning because of his actions.

It was over a year since I came here to see a DJ, and they added a new area called The Underground. The decor was really nice and that impressed me, but the sound system isn’t that great (not enough bass lol). I really enjoyed the original venue the last time I came, but I’m not really a fan of The Underground. They only have white lights (I like lasers hahaha). The dance floor is also raised, so if you’re dancing around the outside and not careful, you could roll your ankle if you happen to step back by accident or something. Pros: cheap drinks and parking Cons: poor sound system, no lasers, & only take cash

The club will not give out a cup of tap water for free and they only take cash, no ATM. I was at an all ages event, and my ticket was already close to $40 with fees and taxes, which is ridiculously expensive to begin with. Even when I told the bar staff I was feeling dehydrated and asked if I could have a small cup of tap water- or even a cup of ice since I didn’t have cash, they said no. I get charging for a bottle of water, but for tap water? Absolutely ridiculous. Would give zero stars if I could. Horrible environment all around.

i would give a zero if i could. went in to get drinks and kicked me out without letting me explain anything. i didn’t even know why i was getting kicked out until i was outside and i didn’t even hear it from him i heard it from a different bouncer. they will kick you out at any opportunity. staff is overly aggressive and instigating fights. don’t ever come here, the staff is awful. the main manager of the bouncer needs to be fired.

Got accused for something me and my friends didn't do. Sent an email to the owner letting them know about their staff. The owner said he cares about his guests and said he will look into it. Sent an email for an update and he hasn't responded. Why answer the first and not the second. If they really cared about their guests they wouldn't over charge and treat people like how they did.

This place does not respect its own clients. You are just a number for them. People who purchased tickets had to wait outside in the same line with people who just showed up. When my friend tried to ask DJ to change music, the security told him if he doesn't like the music he can leave.

the most hostile environment especially on the security outside very racist and very un accommodating people. The days a I was there was a shooting inside and its not a safe place please guys be safe and spend you fun somewhere else .these guys are inadequate in every metrics .musics sucks and there drinks are overly priced

Normally 77 has been my go to recently but for a female of color bartender to throw ice at me because I was unknowingly “behind the bar” a simple “could you please move” would have sufficed. Completely unnecessary… made me feel severely unwelcome I in-fact left early.

Nice place, first time there, went to the "Gyptian show". Bouncers are vigilant, they do a great job and it makes me feel like that's a safe place. Bartender was efficient.

Great club overall and up to date nightlife scene. Good sound system, great lighting, and a fun crowd. The main event DJ’s keep getting better and better. This is the club to be at in Hamilton on Saturday night

Decent amount of space with multiple rooms and bars, light beams always an accessory makes the night life clubbing experience all the more incredible time the reason I attended thank you ! Xo

Top notch lights and sound for a club south of Toronto. Great vibe and 2-4 different rooms you can choose from on a given night. Lots of space, friendly staff

Me and my husband Kevin had a wonderful anniversary dinner here. Quiet and quaint. Classy. We drank Pinot Grigio.
