I promised Jesse that I would write a review and I'm glad that I didn't promise him that the review would be done quickly. I was visiting San Diego with my boys for spring break this past March and I desperately needed shoes that would assist me in standing on my feet all day. I read reviews about this place and about the service and I was quite skeptical before I walked in that it would meet my expectations or would live up to its reputation. Thankfully, I was absolutely mistaken and was extremely elated to find out that both Jessie, the amazing guest services concierge and the ambience exceeded my expectations. I ended up buying not only the Hoka brand of shoes as seen in my picture but also a pair of Birkenstocks that I desperately wanted. The ability to empathize and collaborate with clients is a rare quality and it definitely exists in this shop and I will highly recommend it to anyone who either visits San Diego or wants shoes shipped from here. Kudos to an excellent job!

My wife and I came in with only a few minutes until closing and Jesse, the person minding the store, could not have been more gracious and assured us it was fine. He then proceeded to show us the GREAT selection of Birkenstock, Olukai, Teva and many others. In the midst of all that, he notices that someone took shoes from their outdoor display and sprints out the door after them! He chased them down and to the applause of hundreds of onlookers, recovered the shoes. As Jesse pointed out, its sad because there store so strongly supports local charities by not only giving away shoes, but also helping to fit shoes for homeless folks that have physical disabilities or just too shy to ask for help. On top of all this, he gave me and my wife a wonderful discount on two pairs of Olukai flip flops. Just an amazing experience and can’t wait for there new store to open just a few blocks away in a few weeks. Thank you for being such a great part of our San Diego community!

Amazing experience all around!! Not only do they have a very large authentic collection of Birkenstock’s, they also carry many other quality brand shoes. Jesse was so helpful over the phone and in person. He spent a lot of time with me over the phone to look at all my options. Jesse even helped me identify a shoe I saw on someone’s foot and didn’t know what it was called. When I went into the store to try on shoes, Jesse remembered our conversation over the phone and was ready for me the moment I walked through the doors. He anticipated my needs and brought out several sizes and widths for me to try and gave me honest advice. I felt tended to and treated like a queen! Jesse possesses all the qualities needed to be an amazing, above and beyond customer service employee. Last week, I was visiting San Diego with family and my mother in law and I stopped into Sole Concepts to see if they had the very popular Tasman Uggs in my size. We were warmly greeted by Rebecca and Jesse who were so open to helping us find what we were looking for. At first they mentioned they did not have my size in the colour I was looking for but presented a variety of different options from Ugg that had my size and mentioned there could be a small possibility that a shipment came into their new location. Jesse went down to their other location (which will be opening soon!) and found the last pair of Tasman Uggs in my size. I was so excited as I know this is a super popular shoe!! They truly went above and beyond in making my experience at the store EXCEPTIONAL. Thank you Rebecca and Jesse for all of your help and for such a pleasant visit!!

This stop was very random, but I am so thankful I did. I walked in and right away we were greeted and helped. I unfortunately don’t remember the women’s name that helped me initially, but she put my shoes on hold until the end of the weekend until I decided if I wanted to purchase them or not. I ended up calling the store the next day and spoke to Rebecca who was such a great help and very patient with me since I was actually at a Padres game during our conversation. She reiterated that shipping is totally free which was such a plus since I actually live 8 hours from SD and was flying out the next morning and wouldn’t be able to purchase in store. My experience was so wonderful and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The best part is my shoes are getting shipped today and will be delivered tomorrow! Thanks Sole Concepts!

What a find! I had spent the morning waiting on jury duty googling “fashion sneakers for walking in Europe” before being dismissed and deciding to go for a walk around downtown. I happened upon this store and was pleasantly surprised to see many of the recommended brands available at this location. Jesse was AMAZING in helping me try on and evaluate several pairs against their purpose, my foot shape and arch, and the style I was going for. I ended up with the ON Roger Cloud shoes and can’t wait to wear them on my trip! I’ll be back for boots soon. This store has the quality shoes and the personalized service you just can’t get online. I bought my wife a pair of fancy black Naote strap sandals for her birthday. We have been shopping at their other stores for over 10 years and this was our first time at this location on 5th ave. Jesse helped to pick a perfect color for her and was a genuinely friendly guy. My wife had several hundred different pairs of shoes to choose from There’s also a 10% military discount! Everyone at all their locations are extremely helpful and have an appreciation for their customers that is hard to find these days. My husband and I came here to look at Birkenstocks & Hokas. Jesse and another associate were so helpful. Even though a trickle of customers came in, they were still attentive and made sure we were taken care of. Stumbled across this store while visiting San Diego last fall. What a great selection of footwear and knowledgeable staff. We purchased several pairs of shoes and they were kind enough to ship them to us due to limited suitcase room. We had an issue with a pair of Birks never arriving and I let months go by without contacting them. Once I did, the store was closed due to the Pandemic, but Jesse promptly responded and looked into the matter. I’m so pleased to say we now have the Birks and I was very impressed with Jesse! Please support this local business!

My girls and I make it a habit to stop in to this awesome family owned store every time we are in San Diego ever since we discovered it on vacation a few years ago. Once again, we were not disappointed this time when we visited. Everyone is always so warm and inviting and really makes you feel like you’re part of the family. No pressure, like shopping with friends. Tons of great shoes and beautiful leather bags. The new location is great. We even picked up a few sale items at their old location a block away! Our little SD shopping tradition.

I don’t normally leave reviews but I have to give a big shout out to Jesse! I went to 3 different Birkenstock stores around San Diego including Encinitas, CA. In which they were so busy, so many people but the experience was good, they did not have the shoe I was looking for, which is ok:) but they sent me to this one in Downtown San Diego and they immediately took action in the shoe I was looking for. Especially in the size, color and width. Again, thank you Jesse for helping me. Will definitely go back again.

This was the best shoe shopping experience I have ever had!!!! I know that sounds dramatic but Jesse, Rebecca and Diana went out of their way to help me and answer all my questions. When I showed interest in a brand and they didn’t have my color and size in the store - the actually walked to their new location to get one for me. I was visiting San Diego and decided to stop in this store. The store owner Jessi was absolutely wonderful. He spent over an hour helping me find my size and type of shoe I wanted to purchase. The customer service here was unmatched to anything I’ve ever experienced. He was friendly, attentive to my needs and stayed 20 minutes after closing just to help me find my shoes. I definitely recommend this store if anyone is visiting in the area, you won’t be disappointed!!!

The purse I brought with me on a work trip broke. I needed to find a replacement near where I was staying and I fortunately came across this shop. I didn’t have a ton of time to look around, but it looks like they have a ton of Birkenstock shoes to select from. They also have a nice selection of Hobo bags. I found a really beautiful crossbody bag in a nice cognac/cashew color. The sales associates were super helpful and knowledgeable on the brand as well.

I was visiting San Diego when I came upon Soles. The selection of Birkenstock shoes was almost as good as the factory outlet in Germany! I have never seen a state-side store with so many Birkenstock styles. While the selection was outstanding, the customer service was even better. Jesse helped me fit the perfect shoe or I should say shoes! Instantly, the Oswego shoe has become my favorite shoe. Cannot wait to go back!

Phenomenal customer service. Jesse's the man! Thoroughly explained everything to me, helped me place my order over the phone, and shipped the shoes out to me same day. He even offered to text photo of the shoe comparisons I was considering so I didn't have to drive down to their store. Amazing service! I wish all companies took care of their customers this way!

We ran across this store last year when we were in town for the San Diego Rock & Roll Marathon, and wow!!!! The selection is fantastic, as is their professional staff, including Jesse! The best experience. So this year, I ordered 3 pairs of shoes for my girls from Sole Concepts and had the pleasure of working with Jesse, and it was absolutely fantastic.

I was in town for a conference and needed a pair of comfortable sandals, stumbled on this store and they were amazing! They didn't have the exact color/size combo I was looking for but was able to get it fom their other location nearby and had it with an hour for me to try on! They have a great selection and were so personable!

We’ve had several wonderful experiences with this store. The customer service is awesome. They had the Boston clogs in stock for a Christmas gift which was a huge win. We then had to go in to replace that pair of (thanks to an unruly dog who chewed it up) and Anna was so helpful. We will definitely shop here for our shoe needs.

Fantastic selection of comfortable shoes. Love the Birkenstocks and the Hokas. Jesse, the manager, is awesome and super knowledgeable. He offered and added extra holes in the leather straps so i could have a more custom fit on my Birkenstocks. We were visiting from Colorado and will stop by each time we’re in town!

This store is the BEST for finding Uggs that are sold out everywhere. Last winter I couldn’t find Ugg Minis anywhere for over a month and I was able to find a pair here. Fast forward to this year and the Ugg Tazz are sold out online, but I was able to find my size here in store!! Jessi is also super helpful!

This store is a gem! Huge selection of stylish and comfortable, quality shoes. The staff was very attentive and helpful and loved chatting with the owner. If you’re in town at a conference and need comfortable shoes this is the place. I can’t wait to get back into town and shop again.

Today, Friday, they were supposed to be open at 10:00. I waited until 10:30 and left because no one ever showed up. There were a couple of families and several other people waiting and all left. It is really frustrating when you pay for parking and someone never opens the store.
