I used to love Sprouts (would have given it 4/5 late last year), but lately it's been a waste of time going. For months and months back to fall 2018, neither the water section of their cooler nor the ready-to-eat food section is being maintained. And some of their clerks need training in common courtesy -- though this seems to be a problem at most stores in this area. While I don't always drink cold bottled water, it's nice to have when the thirst strikes. Except no one is filling the shelves on a regular basis anymore. And today, they also shrunk the space in the cooler, adding more expensive, non-water drinks. As for the food -- despite working at home, I sometimes need to grab a quick bite, and I usually incorporate that into other errands. Except my favorite, their once-delicious corn dog two-pack is almost never on the shelves anymore. Instead of my weekly (or sometimes twice-weekly) treat, It can be two months before I actually see any on the shelf, unlike last year. To top off today with crazy, inconsiderate drivers in the parking lot, the clerk that served me couldn't be bothered to say hello, thank you, or goodbye, despite that I was polite and said those things. Like a lot of clerks around here, they ignore me but are polite to people served before and after me. My crime? I wish I knew. Fortunately, Sprouts at this location still has frequent price drops for fresh fruit, and their packs/ bunches are always in good quality -- unlike other stores in the area with fruit rotting on the bottom of a pack/ bag.

Sandwiches here are amazing! However, the young male associate made his Sandwiches weird and I am not too sure they were made within "Safety" protocol. He made at least seven (7) Sandwiches using the same gloves and uncleaned knives. He would place the bread on the uncleaned countertop instead of on the paper. He also went over to grab some sliced cheese from the selling area, touching several packages using the same gloves. He saw the way I was looking at him and he finally washed the knives and inadvertently his "gloved" hands before making my sandwiche - never changing his gloves. As my sandwiche was being heated he made a pile of lettuce, onion, tomato & Avocado, which he cut and then pulled it out using his hands. He took out my sandwich from the oven and placed this "pile" inside the sandwich. He cut, wrapped & served it. Alarmingly, he proceeded on to make the next sandwich using the same gloves, dirty knives, dirty countertop etc... I hope no one gets sick.... I thought about it and didn't eat my sandwich. I will be returning it today.

I got a bad return experience today with the cashier, Kate. Yesterday, I bought 3 Asian pears which were in a hard plastic boxes. I didn’t check because I thought Sprouts products should be fresh. But when I got home, I found out one is rotten, the other two were soft which is not fresh at all. So, I decided to return it today. After I returned, I found out the refund ($8.07)didn’t match the price I paid yesterday($8.99). So, I asked the cashier Kate, but her response was totally not ok. She said “ it is what it is. It’s just a few cents.” I felt it’s not right, however, I didn’t say much. Then I walked away and grabbed an orange which my daughter loved so much from Sprouts I bought yesterday. When I took my orange to check out, she said” ok, now I can credit the cents from that( she pointed to the orange) . 7 cents? or whatever cents it is.” Well, I would say, I don’t think it’s a few cents problem, it’s about honesty and attitude. Her attitude made me never wanna go back to this Mira Mesa Sprouts Store again.

Kate, a cashier at the Sprouts in Mira Mesa was very dismissive when I was trying to figure out my coupon situation. Working in customer service I know how important it is to make customers feel heard and seen and kate did not do that. I usually have a great experience at this sprouts but my last trip was different. She started scanning the next customers items and asking for payment before I had even walked away. That’s disrespectful. Didn’t even try to humor me and help me find anything on the app. All she said was “that needs to be done at home” well honey I came straight from work so that will not be done at home. Not going back to this location. Trying to save myself $10 since they charge an arm and a leg for everything. No help whatsoever. How about you guys train your employees to navigate the app and come up with better explanations. Rude rude and rude. So dismissive towards me trying to shoo me out the door. Management needs to have a chat with her

TERRIBLE STAFF!! One of the staff members (male, old, tall, skinny, long blonde hair) is extremely disrespectful and degrading to multiple customers who are only spanish speakers. Yelling and giving nothing but attitude, when he was only asking for assistance with his purchase. Which isn’t a isolated incidence with this associate. I witness another staff member yell at another worker Russ (who was nothing but nice to us and others around him.) As well as seeing an elderly woman wait 30 minutes to get assistance with waters to her car. Almost none of the team members at this establishment care about their customers. I suggested going to another location where people take pride in their work and the treatment of their shoppers.

Great for bulk items like spices, nuts and grains, and healthy alternative foods. Vegan Jerky, sugar-free chocolate, protein chips with almost no carbs, vegan egg alternative, plant milks - you name it. Fresh fruit and vegetable quality is good. Selection can be mixed. For example I found Cherimoya here for $7/lb, a hard to find fruit that usually sells for $10/lb, while did not see parsley or cilantro. Their cucumbers actually last while cucumbers from other places rot in few days. Dragon fruit price was the same as other local Asian store. So there are tons of good quality stuff at a good price, but also some missing items from your grocery list. It is fun to shop though. And it smells good.

This store has tons of products but unfortunately I was constantly being watched at least that's what I felt employees just watching every move you make even to go to the bathroom when I walked out the same guy with a board turned to look at me as I came out. Even the employees seemed a little bit nervous as if maybe their supervisors were just watching them. It's unfortunate because I saw a ton of stuff that I would have loved to have purchased but I just bought some few items some treats for my dog a coffee and I got the hell out of there but maybe it was my boots and itty bitty shorts and a tank top? Perhaps I'll wear a tie and and a suit next time.

Surrounded by mega and small grocery stores of so many ethnicities, this Sprouts has in many ways got to be better than a regular Sprouts. I was very pleased to see the wide aisles, well stocked shelves, helpful staff in many departments. The layout was very similar to other branches, the restroom clean and bigger than others. I thought the range of dairy was wider than my usual ones farther south. This time, I also visited the fresh bakery section. Very happy to see chocolate croissants and bear claws! Having them at home now and they are perfect! Parking was easy, checkout fast, definitely will visit more often.

I love this store. It's neck and neck between SPROUTS and TRADER JOE'S. Produce is soooo good. And well stocked, always. The service deli has some great items. Grilled Brussel Sprouts, Grilled Green Beans, Citrus grilled Salmon Filet, and their Bakery items. Delightful selection of dried fruits and raw/dry roasted nuts. I wish they were on sale more often, as well as the Dark Chocolate items, but, you have to take it all in stride, right? See, some devine being looked down on us and said, " These people need this store HERE!!!( que lightning bolts and flash pots exploding. ) And, we got it. ' Nuff said.

Five Star recovery on a holiday meal order that got canceled 1 hour before being picked up. As I was busily trying to figure out what to prepare in place of the holiday meal that I had ordered, I received a call back from Tahira I think her name was, and they let me know that my order had been fulfilled, and that they were going to take care of the cost for the hassle. I had had a similar experience a couple years prior ordering a holiday meal and I was pretty frustrated. The management team made it more than right all with a smile on their face and I appreciate it.

My favorite store to shop for food. It has fresh and high quality veggies and fruits for good prices compared to vons and other natural grocery stores. It provides a discount on some items each week on the weekly ad. I like to shop for sprouts brand items. They always have a good quality and lower prices. Also the bulk section provides a lot of items for good prices. My favorite items to buy: veggies, fruits, ezzikle bread, dried fruits, dates, tofu, almond milk, spices, condiments, and from bulk section: nuts, seeds, beans, rice, oat.

This location is fine during the day but if you shop after about 8PM the on-duty cashiers want nothing to do with you. I know things are especially hard for front-line workers right now but on my last trip the cashier never offered to sell me a bag even though I clearly had too many items to easily carry and just stood there watching silently as I fumbled with my stuff. I was the only person in the queue. Not sure if this is a failure of management or what. Will not return here in the pm hours.

For whatever reason, this particular sprouts sells old produce (check your salad mixes because i bought one that was a day past expiration). Most items just seem more expensive than other sprouts. They also pick which 72 hour sale items to honor, which is annoying when you go to find seafood items like scallops $3-4 more per lb. than advertised. This store needs to up their game and stop riding off the reputation of other sprouts locations.

I mean, it's a Sprouts so it's a chain and not very different from others. It is pretty clean and well organized. I never see anything really all that appealing. There's a bunch of stuff no one has ever heard of so you actually have to try it to know if it's any good. I will say that keeping coffee in those dispensers and not in airtight containers ruins the beans so don't get your coffee here.

I was there on Thursday morning and the person sitting by the carts with a note pad. Was apparently having a very bad day. The man in front of me told her the were out of hand sanitizer she nodded. Then he said your mask is supposed to be over your nose too. She ignored him. As I was walking out she still had her mask on wrong. I believe she was there to monitor other people compliance.

Very excited that a Sprout is here in Mira Mesa! It looks awesome! First time visiting here and I am impressed. It is clean and organized and it is amazing. They have a juice bar, sandwich shop, and a butcher shop for all your cooking needs. They even have a huge section for healthy needs as well. It wasn't extremely crowded when I went. I can't wait to start shopping here from now on.

Super clean! I was about to give 5 stars but the cashier didn't greet me, provide a total or thank me. In fact, I thanked her. The only thing she said was "do you want a bag." Maybe she was not having a nice day, not too bright or hates white people. Hard to tell but I recommend training. I dont care how great the store is, why am I saying thank you to the cashier? Poor service.

Sprouts has many wholesale items Fruits and wine of all kind are available here. Meat is also available. Fresh fishes and shrimps are good here. Very limited varieties of flowers are available. Candies and pulses are available in bulk. Frozen foods, Asian and Italian food are arranged well in racks. Freshly baked goodies like breads and muffins make it more interesting.

I like how I can buy things in small quantities here but the thing I hate the most about this store is the quality of their products. The aisles often have a large number of expired items. Some items like bread and produce have mold on them even before the expiry date. So a word of advice to anyone who shops here, carefully look at every item before purchase

I wanted to give a big shout out to Cliff who works at this Sprouts. He was cheerful and helpful just for a small question I had. Could have been a one word answer, but instead he went above and beyond to help me out. When I get excellent customer service I always try to call it out. Hats off to Cliff today for making my day just a little brighter.

I am giving 2 stars because it was the worst sandwich I have ever gotten from Sprouts. Bread was so hard I thought they parcially toasted it. The meat didn't even cover sandwich. I asked for Mayo, Did not get any. I had to take top bread off to be able to eat. The first bit scratched the roof of my mouth. This is second time I bought. Never again.

I officially stopped coming here altogether. Poorly managed. I get just their sandwiches. it now always takes over 30 min. Its just bread, meat, and cheese. The line is never more than 5 people. They don't prep for any lunch rush and are constantly running into the aisles to get product they run out of. its painful to watch the disorganization.

Food quality is great, service is helpful, they have a large selection you can't find in other places, though their prices are pretty high. It's a supermarket that specializes in what it qualifies as organic and "natural". What do you expect? If you're ok with a relatively small drop in quality and are looking to save money, go to Vons.

It is a nice and larger than typical Sprouts. It was totally madness on the Grand Opening Date snd so glad to see a Sprouts in this area. This store could use a larger parking lot since there are few stores and restaurants in same area. It seemed they were under estimating the first day crowd, they ran out the free shopping bags.

My family has been loyal Sprouts shoppers since we moved to the USA 5+ years ago. I really like how they have a lot of unique and eco-friendly brands, so that you can select items that benefit smaller companies. We always come for double ad wednesday and purchase a good, healthy week of family food for a reasonable price :)

Don't come when it's busy, you can't even get in the door. Too many people at the counter and also lollygaggers trying to figure out if they want what's on display. The walk way is too narrow so you're forced to go to what looks like a dead end past their fishy smelling meat department. I'm sorry I wasted time coming here.

Specifically regarding the deli section! I saw a TikTok about Sprouts having great build your own sandwiches so I figured I'd check it out. David behind the sandwich counter provided excellent service. Was more than helpful throughout the process and made great suggestions. We will be back thanks to his helpfulness !

Love being healthy and money is not an issue....shop here. Best food but also not cheap. Let me clarify: fruits and veggies are local and cheap and amazing. Specialty stuff like meats and diary and cheese and bread is on par with whole foods ($$$$). Best resource for vitamins and quality health food. Love Sprouts!

Friendly helpful staff, good selection of natural foods. Quiet-ish went the day before Thanksgiving and it wasn't too crazy. Word of warning generally sprouts produce is very cheap, which is great, but it also tends to go bad faster than produce from other stores. I try to eat everything I buy here in 3-4 days

CustomerService is off today, just not motivated to help. I asked for tuna salad which was not displayed yet so I asked if there’s some available in the back. Immediately was told Nope! Negative Attitude and lack of customer service needs to be addressed with this employee. Felt like I was bothering him.

They are limiting the number of ppl in the store at one time ... so you might be in a line. If so, the line moves pretty quickly. DO NOT Bring in your own shopping bags from home at this time. Their inventory remains robust, diverse and high quality. Good energy there in a challenging time.

Silly me forgot my bag of groceries in the cart and they called me back to let me know they found it and they did not make me feel like a crazy fool. Thank you. It was just one of those days! They said it happens all the time and they were so nice about it. Thank you! I love Sprouts.

We were looking for keto friendly food items and they have a lot of variations including keto friendly lily's chocolate, almond flour pizza crust, wide variatoon of nuts, all sorts of milk and cheese, organic poultry, and fish, all types of cooking oils and so on. Really impressed!

I'm going to vote with my wallet after my experience in Sprouts today. Grocery outlet it is or any other grocery store. I appreciate grocery workers working during this difficult time and I consider myself a pretty patient person but after today no way I am going back.

Went this morning and the cashier with white hairs and red lipstick was awfully rude. She dumped my items from the cart as it would be garbage. No any exchange of words. Super rude! Can’t believe Sprouts do not provide proper customer service training to its staff!

Wonderful store-everything well stocked & fresh. Employees so nice & helpful. Excellent prices. I really like the cafe area where I could sit & enjoy my coffee & pastry after buying it. Large selection of just about anything I want. A real favorite destination!

Great options for specialty grocery items and delicious deli sandwiches. Fresh produce options are also generally better than your average grocery store and if you shop on sale, you can get really good prices for produce. Parking has never been an issue.

Placed a delivery order via Instacart and this is the kind of produce I received. A rotten, moldy papaya! I contacted Sprouts, they told me to contact Instacart, Instacart told me to contact Sprout. No one is taking responsibility, so very disappointing!

They have lots of great produce at decent prices, as well as a large selection of bulk items, including grains, flours, nuts, candies, cereals, and spices. Parking is free, and usually pretty easy. They still don't have any self-checkout stations yet.

Poorly stocked and AWFUL service! Shelves half empty! Nobody working in deli. Not enough cashiers- long lines. The store has drastically gone downhill since opening only a few months ago. I was excited when it opened, but won't go again. Mis-managed!

Located in a shopping plaza off of Mira Mesa Blvd. An impressive Sprouts with modernized deli and eatery. Spacious and well designed. When employees see the lines are too long, they immediately open another cashier. I would recommend this location.

I never knew about this place and upon entering the smell was amazing! Service was exceptional and the croissant... We'll there are not enough words in the English language to describe the amazing taste of a plain croissant. I will be coming back!

Went in for lunch and a little WiFi work on Sprouts Guest network, but after trying to diagnose and restart, the employees said the connection never works. Beautiful amenities and kind employees ... if they were all trained and maintained.

I love going to this sprout. Is so easy to find the products and when you can't find them just ask. All the people who work there are amazing, respectfully even when you bother them. The products are of excellent quality for what you pay.

Cashiers, employees that were walking around acted as though I was bothering them, when I asked for help. After a couple of times if asked for a manager. (Still waiting) I'm new to this area, very disappointed. Will not go there again.

This place sells high-grade meat almost similar to Costco. I think it's owned by Smart & final. Everything is price real well I would consider going back here a lot more often. First time here but definitely not the last time.

The sandwich woman was very rude and did not smile at all, very unapproachable. Food is good there but someone need to show her some customer service skills. She did not look like she had a good Christmas! Just saying

There are 4 supermarkets within walking distance from where I live. Sprouts is my favorite among them. There are more choices of organic fresh veggies and fruits. The price is also competitive as well.

My first time in the Mira Mesa store. I spent about the first five minutes with my jaw literally hanging open the place is so HUGE. All the shelves were fully stocked and the place virtually spotless.

Good size, great selection, and when you have a shopping trip where the staff gives your kid a banana to snack on and they bring you fresh baked bread from the back you gotta give them five stars.

Their inside sandwich shop is delicious. Sandwiches made the way you want with what you want on them. Prices are fair too, for sandwiches. I can't tell you about rest of store. I don't shop there.

Sprouts has many things to choose from in their Farmers Market style atmosphere. They have ready made meals, made at Sprouts, fresh produce, dairy, frozen foods, bakery and bulk food items.

My favored supermarket. Lots of organic produces and they are on sale by turn. If you are patient you can get very inexpensive organic fruits and vegetables.

Most stores in garden shops will sell their live plants, such as sweet basil rosemary Etc for 3 to $4 a piece. At Sprouts they are $2 a piece.

A lot of organics products can be found at these stores. In my opinion, Sprouts Farmers Market is a little bit better than Whole foods market.

Good selection of fresh produce. Definitely look for the sale items. Sometimes the produce can be a bit overripe so inspect what you pick up.

They have the bulk items you'd expect from a Sprouts. The raw milk that is hard to get, in most places is what I often go there for.
