3810 Convoy St San Diego, CA 92111. I usually go through the drive thru at times during the evening to night time but I needed to do a project so I decided to go inside to sit. Upon arriving to the counter to order this worker by the name of AMY sorta rushed me to order and I sensed her a bit annoyed. After ordering I sat down at the tables near the restrooms and she comes over and tells me I can’t sit there because that section is closed. I told her that there was no sign stating that and that they should have signs at least. So I decided to sit on the opposite side near the main entrance. When I got up to get my drink, the guy was the complete opposite of AMY unfortunately I did not get his name but his energy and mood was polite and not attacking. Sometime passed and I decided to get some water, and I noticed there was a guy sitting where I had originally decided to sit. I told AMY “I thought that section was closed” she looked over and she said it is and didn’t say anything anymore. I really didn’t appreciate that if the section was truly closed then she should’ve told the guy the same thing she told me. I thought this was a bit discriminating and totally unfair and not right at all.
I went through drive-thru After I worked a long shift at the hospital, I took up the offer for the free tall coffee that Starbucks was offering for health care workers. The person in the drive-through that took my order was not very friendly when I told her I was taking up this offer. Especially when I asked her if all they had was Pike's place which I do not really prefer but I'm tired and I took it anyway. I just did not appreciate her sarcastic remarks. I know everyone is stressed about this pandemic but does she think for a minute that I'm stressed as well after I worked 12 long hours in a Covid unit with me worried if I'm bringing it to my children even with all precautions taken? I appreciate Starbucks gesture but if they have someone at Starbucks selling or taking the orders that has an attitude like that I don't need that coffee. Why don't they give coffee or food and snacks to the needy instead. I think that would be much gratitude for us to give back to the community. We took an oath to help people nothing is needed back except spreading the happiness/caring to others.
Monday, 25 May 2020, 7:40 pm. Coffee was lukewarm at best, although it was ordered four minutes prior to arrival. I was already on the road at this point so it took several minutes, including two U-turns and three stoplights to get back to the store where I found the drive-thru lane full - five or six cars and two yet to place order (with the COVID-19 situation walk-ins are disallowed). I tried the phone number but recording said VM not set up, and hung up. Not to make a mountain of a molehill but all this followed a couple other issues. Another store wouldn't sell coffee at 7:01 pm and I found only one remaining open location: 15 minutes in the opposite direction. All this places my cup of coffee at nearly an hour's investment, so I was frustrated. Then the good news kicks in. I spoke to the order window and they placed a fresh, hot cup outside the door. This saved me maybe only five minutes but allowed me to enjoy the coffee and have a 'positive' experience at the end, so that was appreciated.
For the last 7 years whenever I am on the news for my nonprofit Traci's Paws, and bring one of my pups with me on-air, I give them a special treat on the way home. I love that there is a drive-thru and I can order myself a coffee and a pup-cup/Pupaccino for my pup! I have since lost two of my babies, but recently took in my mom's dog Bebe, and she got to join in on the post-news segment tradition. As always, the staff are always so friendly and make a big fuss over the girls, one time a few years ago, someone took a photo of Emee. But Bebe got just as much attention! I like the service, even with a line it usually moves quickly and the customer service is always on point. I do come here when we're not on the news, too and will probably continue to come here as long as I am in the area. While I have never been inside, I am sure the atmosphere is just a great as the customer service!

Starbeezies is open for dine in coffee again yall. I feel like we're back to normal but we're really not. They say this new variant of covid is more contagious and deadly while spreading in public places. Full disclosure: I did not wear a mask when I was there. The air-conditioned environment was exactly what I've been missing from my caffeine junky experiences as of late and I'm glad it's a thing again. The pastry case was underwhelming and I guess Starbeezies is still experiencing their "shortages" (a-hem* clears throat) So the menu is you know... they serve stuff. They just don't have everything I guess. Luck would have it for me all the things I DID want out of my visit was available. 1.)The restroom was open for me to release in. 2.)I got a tall Nitro Cold Brew 3.) Bought A venti studded black matte cold cup ...and 3.) Enjoyed some air-conditioned internet time on free wifi. 5stars, why not

This is by far one of the best Starbucks, I am currently coming here almost everyday. Their customer service is outstanding. I am very pleased with their customer service. I feel like they are doing their job from their heart. And the place is spacious. I always forget to look at their names and mention them by name here. But they learned my name. overall never seen such happy people anywhere, knock on the wood. May they always shine like this and stay happy within their own lives. This actually really affects our society. And has great impact on us when we go to places like this and see others respectful, happy and doing their job right from the bottom of their heart. thank you guys......She doesn't have a name tag but she goes to Arizona state university. She is one of the best, Irene is also one of the best person working there. To mention all of them are great stuff.
I am incredibly frustrated with this Starbucks location. I re-visited this location after purchasing a $15 Venti reusable cup. When washing it, the lid broke. It was clearly a faulty product. When showing it to an employee, she said there was nothing they could do without a receipt that was never given to me and quoted, "Don't kill the messenger, I don't make the rules", which I found incredibly rude. The cup says "Starbucks" down the side and it was clearly new and recently purchased. I just wanted a new lid. When I asked if I could get some type of Starbucks credit instead, she said they don't provide that service. When I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager, the employee said she was busy. This location doesn't seem to care about customer service in the slightest. Starbucks makes millions each year and can't provide a student in debt with a new lid.
I will never order inside this particular Starbucks again. The drive thru is OK. Going in was horrible. After a workout I stopped by and the line at the drive through was long so I decided to go in. They had 5 or 6 people behind the counter One person was taking orders for customers walking in.. I believe he was the shift leader. He would talk to employees or customers about random things It literally took him 5 minutes to get a simple order for a coffee for someone, not because he was putting in the order but because he would stop and talk with other people about random things. He was pretty loud so it was clear what his conversations were about. Finally he told someone else to hop on a register and help him. That staff got through 4 of us before he got through another order ...
Just had a misto Saturday morning... So far it's one of the better ones from the different Starbucks in the area. I didn't get food, as for me it's not really worth it, but I was able to bring along my own yogurt bowl to enjoy with my coffee. Always enjoy the chill atmosphere at Starbucks. Great place for meeting friends!

If you're wanting coffee on a Saturday morning go anywhere EXCEPT here!! I brought my husband and dog for a coffee and a quick bite, but the tables outside were so dirty I wouldn't let my dog eat off of them! And, No attitude was needed, Ms. Barista. I went inside to order a bite and realized the Baristas look like zombies, the drink prep area has spills all over the cabinets and the ordering area is just as dirty as the outside tables! If you don't care about your establishment, just become a drive-thru! Why bother to build a big patio? Nope, this Starbucks misses the quality mark - by a long shot. [12 year Gold Member]
I just paid 6 bucks for a PB & J box that was a little old. At these prices I would expect something more fresh. No wonder they don’t sell that many boxes. Not a good deal. Please keep ‘em fresh or lower the prices. The second reason for the low rating is it’s so cold in here. I don’t know where HQ is but Southern California is not always warm. What a coincidence, as I was writing this article I overheard the lady say how every one is sick. Starbucks doesn’t care about your health nor the health of their employee-partners. Update on review. I got friendly, respectful service from Taylor and Daniel so I’m adding a star.
Great place that opens late. Sometimes they can pull a fast one by closing an hour early...I don't know why they do that when it specifically states outside that their business hours are till 9pm. It disrupts my studying time..you know...when you're finally getting into the groove of getting your work done bc you think you have until 9pm and them Bam! "We apologize but we will be closing at 8 today." Other than that, I enjoy the spacious area but do feel like they are wasting so much space by not adding more comfortable tables and chairs. Great ambience.

I come to this location honestly pretty much everyday same time right before work and I live in Eastlake and this is the only Starbucks I love going to ( it’s also close to work ). I always go through the drive-thru and order a Iced Matcha Green Tea Latte with light ice, brown sugar syrup, and the vanilla sweet cream foam ( super amazing by the way ). My drink is always made perfectly. I have never had any complaints with this location. And the drive-thru workers let me tell you….ARE WONDERFUL SOULS THAT NEED TO BE PROTECTED! They are amazing, sweet, nice and I always leave with a smile on my face!
I usually go there for morning coffee or breakfast. They usually serves old and cold coffee instead of making it fresh. I also noticed almost everytime that associates ignores customers when a customer needs something after placing their order. They stands around and talking to eachother instead of asking that customer if he or she needs something. Even my self had to ask for help to get their attention. They are not making an eye contact or ask if customer need something while standing there. Very poor customer service.
Would not recommend going to this location ever. Customer service is terrible, the wait is much worse (even when they have absolutely no customers in line or in the drive thru). They mess up my drink EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I’m not sure how you can mess up a drip coffee with cream and flavored syrup, but they seem to manage. I’ve called corporate to complain multiple times, but it seems management doesn’t care. Please drive a little further down the road to another store, and avoid this one at all cost.
My experience was a drag. The place was empty maybe three customers in the store. The drive through was a circus. I ordered a plain black coffee. I have never had to wait for a plain black coffee until I visited this store. Every Starbucks I have been to instantly poors a pike coffee and serves it. This one decided to put me into the drive through line and I had to wait ten minutes for a black coffee. Hence to say will not ever return to this Starbucks. Worst Starbucks ever!!!!
Had a bit of a mix-up on our drive-thru order during a busy time during happy hour (Thursday afternoon), but the staff was extremely polite and generous in making things right, which is the most important thing. 4-stars rather than 5 because the configuration of the drive-thru forces you into going southbound on Convoy when you leave, which is annoying and wastes time if you're trying to go a different direction. But if you're headed that way, this is a great option!
It was busy, so there was no place to park. They really don't have very many spaces to begin with. I ended up parking in a medical complex and walking. It took a while to give my order and over 10 minutes to get my drink. I tried a peach citrus tea because I'm trying to stick with low carb options. It wasn't very good at all. I don't know if that's really Starbucks' fault so much as my taste buds. There was a lot of space inside the cafe which was nice.
This is seriously one of the worst Starbucks locations. They seem clearly understaffed because there is always a line. The place is usually messy, including the bathrooms which are often not stocked with toilet paper. The staff is rude and lazy. To make matters worse, somehow they manage to make my drink wrong EVERY single time. Obviously poor management. Honestly, you are better off driving to a different location than waiting your time at this one.
The barista/window clerk is always smiling and friendly. I go out of my way for this location just for that! Also, I use the app now and order ahead, so it makes life so much easier. This location rarely has a line when I visit, too. Big bonus points for that!

I go here pretty much every day but, today I’m super disappointed. I paid for a grande but they pretty much served me a tall as you’ll see in the picture. From now on I will be checking this for sure…. I feel cheated af! I’ve been paying almost 6 dollars daily for something that’s worth $3. The only reason why I gave it three stars is because of the people who serve me every day. Needless to say, I’m done spending six dollars a day; my stupidity
The barristas here hustle! This place gets really busy most mornings. Usually friendly when we walk in for our pick up order and always available to help. Recently I forgot to order one of our usual items in our pick up order and they made it on the spot for my husband no questions asked.

Brand new and very spacious, this is a major upgrade from the dingy burger king that used to be here. The parking lot is much cleaner. There's lots of space in the lobby to work. Other than that it's your typical Starbucks. Less kids than the one down the street.

Friendly and personal baristas. Clean, living room/front room atmosphere, I plan to do two hour studies here. I always tip the baristas a buck too! They have Bill's also. I like their Christmas come back cups and decorations also. Just a cool place to hang, and ya, no homeless people at this location either. Starbucks are the pros. I think they also quit being controversial which makes it nice to be there....
Starbucks has lowered the temperature of its coffee, but the barista happily steamed the coffee for me to make it hotter. Nice service!

waited over 30 minutes for a mobile order, checked up on it several times and watched as the employees were chillin and chit chatting. they work extremely slow and seem to mess up a lot dont come to this location if youre in a hurry in fact just stop supporting statbucks at all theres plenty of fairly priced coffee shops whos employees dont treat you like an abandoned house plant. :)
I am impressed with their fancy Europe style furniture in very space roomy include some nice soft chairs but their high speed internet is slowest snail. I suspect they still use ATT's old fart DSL. Almost all Starbucks at everywhere already have upgraded to Google's champ highest speed internet. Manager must be clueless idiot. I will never visit this joke Starbucks again next time.
Located on Convoy St. near Ostrow St./Kearny Mesa Rd. We used their drive-thru to order a Caffe Latte. Service was friendly, fast and efficient. My coffee tasted so good, probably the best any Starbucks location has made my Caffé Latte drink. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the service here.

Large location with ample seating and a great floating long meeting table with electrical outlets. Service was slow despite not seeming very busy (though they may have had a lot of online orders). Typically I'm not on a hurry so not a big deal. Unfortunately, wifi was down when I went so I had to leave and find another place to get some work done, thus the 3 stars.
So I ordered a soy chi latte. It was a coffee. They took it back, and made my chi. Nice new cup. I love that. I often have request. The world of service is hard. But other places of business often just pick off the offending item. Thanks Starbucks Convoy for taking care of me. You also take great care of my fiance every day that she waits her to go to work. ;-)
I love how spacious this Starbucks is. But what makes it special is the people who work there. They are the nicest people! Always kind, accommodating, and friendly. They are like family to me. I love you guys! Thank you for taking such good care of me! And of course the food and coffee is delicious too.

Went last week and found their wifi completely non-functional. The decor is nice and they actually have comfy seating which it seems most other locations seemed to have done away with. But with a starbucks a few blocks south at mesa college and a few blocks north at Armour that have great wifi, it's not going to be the location I study or hang out in.
This Starbucks has a lot of life. Friendly staff that get to know you & call out a greeting. Happy voices all around, busy yet people can read (I miss newspapers) work or study in a pleasant environment. Great coffee drinks, food & snacks. Someone once asked me what's up with Starbucks? I answered, it's a culture. Once in it, you belong.
The Kearney Mesa location is very roomy. I felt comfortable on a squishy chair and studying while sipping on a frappucinno and their peace citrus white tea as I waited for my car to finish being detailed across the street. Wasn't able to use the wifi to access NPR articles, though, so be aware that access to the internet is limited
Lots of space if you're interested in studying or getting work done*. * If you can tolerate no outlets and a chill rivaled by the cold vacuum of space. There's a lot of seating but you'll have to get there early to find an outlet, out a seat that isn't consumed by a game of thrones winter. I say this as someone who runs hot.
This is one of the best locations to come to. Big sitting area with lots of chairs and space. Crew is so Friendly! They take pride in their customers!

The WORST!!! I ordered in the store and then waited 15 min, asked and they said it is not up yet. Then 10 min. Later, I saw people behind me getting their drinks! I then went to get my money back and no sorry or anything!!! No looking for my order or try to make it right!! I will NEVER!! Go go back and I will tell allm

Great (better than average) service. This is the first visit to this location (a former Burger King) and I am impressed with the remodel. Unlike many $Bux, this one is NOT crammed full of tables, making it less claustrophobic than most. Bonus - the chairs are designed to be comfortable for tall people!
Weird place. First time there and last. Place is advertised as closing at 10pm and the first thing I am told is that they’re closing their bathrooms at 8pm. Second thing I am told is that they close at 9:45pm. This Starbucks clearly doesn’t follow standard corporate protocols. They do their own thing.
Excellent customer service! Excellent specialty drinks and food preparation- include plasticware without even having to ask. Always prompt, friendly greeting of all and by name with regular customers; attention to details of order and cleanliness of store- inside and out, sweeping and table cleaning.
This is my go-to Starbucks in San Diego. One of the few locations that has a drive thru that doesnt involve blocking traffic. They are always fast and friendly. Most days during my lunch I will drive 15 minutes to this location just to avoid the hassle of the locations closer to me near Downtown.
Big space for anyone to meet and chill as they like. Various areas to sit inside to fit your needs. Employees are friendly. Always feel welcome when I go there.

The system route my order to the wrong store.I came in to ask the manager Romeo if he can cancel the other one and but he ask me to go to the store i ordered and pick it up. The other store usually give me a free order if this happen with a smile on their face. It is not going to happen here.
We made an online and still had to wait nearly 30 minutes to review our order. By then, our drinks had cooled and the food had become soggy. Unfortunate.

Love Starbuck but today the person who took my order talked so fast it was hard to understand her. I asked her to slow down a bit and she did some, but did not apology at all and seemed aggravated with me! But all and all it's all good and Starbucks is still the BEST!!
I go there for the good blends they sell. That Starbucks has a great manager. Sometimes the College aged women take my natural friendliness as a 'come on',but that is often the case at many Starbucks. It hurts but that's what I get for haven got old and ugly I guess.
Covid is over … put the damn sugar, cream and stir sticks back so I don’t have to wait 5 minutes to get someone’s attention for a 2 cent packet of sugar and a .02 cent stir stick after paying 8.50 for a coffee!

Good place to study, with plenty of cozy chair, larger tables, and little nooks. The spots with outlets were mostly occupied but there were enough spots that it wasn't hard to snag one. The 76 across the street has really good coffee too, would highly recommend!
This a new Starbucks location and I like the decor inside. Very modern and open. This is an old Burger King, so there is a drive-thru. Besides that, it's a typical Starbucks with great coffee, an assortment of food items, and the usual friendly Starbucks staff.
Eddy was amazing! He and his amazing coworkers remade a badly made drink from another Starbucks store for my friend Andrea. The drink came out way better and gave her a gift card. What a great way to treat your customers and we definitely will be coming back!
Put in an order for pickup this morning at 5:40am. I got a coffee & a Gouda sandwich. This is what I got… a sharpie marker inside my sandwich bag. The amount of bacteria this pen has. How does this even happen? Didn’t even eat it. No thanks.

Still the best coffee, but sometimes customer service comes up a bit short and can vary significantly from one location to the next. Food & non-coffee drinks okay. Accessories over-priced IMO. This location is relatively new & was spacious & comfortable.
Drive through window didn't provide a receipt, gave me a frozen ham croissant, and never said thank you. This isn't the first time they were rude. I'm done with convoy. The baristasat Coffee Bean always nice, friendly, and you get what you requested.
Make sure you bring a scarf, gloves, ear muffs, beanie, insulated jacket and pant because this place is always freezing. The staff tends to close sooner than posted hours but in general very friendly staff and nice location. Great drinks and snacks!
We came in right before closing (BUT STILL OPENED)- staff did not let us use bathroom claiming it was against policy to use bathroom after they’ve just cleaned it. ?!?!? She said floors were wet but they weren’t. Served our orders with an attitude.
Aren't all Starbucks about the same? Great coffee, great service, music playing in the background. And most of the time clean bathrooms. This location had all of those. Great spot to refresh and jump on the wifi for a few minutes before a meeting.
Although there are so many Starbucks about a mile from one another in this area, this one is the best since it has a huge patio and a lot of space for studying and meeting inside. Former Burger King location, but love what they did to the place.
This location usually has fast service. The Drive Thru is very convenient, and still open at the moment. I have only had an order incorrect one time, but staff went out of their way to correct it as quickly as they could. It is a busy location.

I came to this Starbucks to order a hot caramel machiato. Drive-thru when I paid the lady voided my purchase and charged me with my stars . She didn't even ask me if she could use or redeem my points. Is not fair please next time ask.
Stopped by around 7pm ordered a peppermint mocha with no whip cream, a Chestnut praline and banana bread. They put whip cream in my drink and forgot the banana bread. This order wasn't that hard. Employees seemed very pushy as well.
The new Starbucks at Convoy and Ostrow is spacious. It opened less than a week ago, so can't say how busy it is, or when it gets crowded. Nice place to hangout, study, and/or quietly sip your coffee or tea, then go about your day.
Everytime I get a tall carmel macchiato and at this location the cup is only filled up 1/2 to 3/4 of the way for the price you pay you should fill it up to the top with milk when you pour in. I didn't order a half tall drink.
Staff are courteous but Starbucks needs to update the store hours for Fridays. Closes at 8pm.

I only get coffee now. A Tall in a Grande with heavy cream, one pump of hazelnut one pump of vanilla two scoops of vanilla bean. This is perfectly made hot kup of Joe! Everything else is way over priced. Don't do it.
This store is very dirty & dark . Gloomy atmosphere no customer service even when I say hi lol no hi back . I must be invisible. It is not welcoming at all. The bathrooms are gross. The lobby & the door very dirty.
Standing there for 20 minutes while my drink and food were sitting there in a stack of others...Never called my name. Also stood in line to order with no one else in line with 5 workers working and ignoring me.
Baristas were very friendly and helpful. The store always remains clean in particular the restrooms. Awesome customer service. This Starbucks store is always busy but the service line remains steadily short.
Great coffee shop here, spacious and well furnished, walking in felt like a resort or Disney Starbucks!!! Weekday average busy, there was no line on Thursday morning! Drive through couple of cars. …

Coffee too strong or burnt. Most people come to Starbucks as an excuse to binge on sugar and dairy, so they don't notice. So most employees don't care about actual coffee drinkers satisfaction.
Girl at drive thru got mad at the driver for being on the phone when the driver didn't order the food or drink. But I think the person getting their food was happy. Interesting experience.
I go here when it’s convenient but it seems to be about a 50/50 chance whether my drink will be made correctly or not.

I go into this location quite often. The staff is always friendly and ready to help you. Today, Jake took my order within seconds of me walking in the door. Thank you!!!
Been coming to this Starbucks regularly for the past year or so...awesome and friendly folks working there. And they one of the few Starbucks that have the Nitro on tap!
This is a brand-new Starbucks, tons of space and quick service. Their Wi-Fi is extremely slow. One of their service members said they are working on getting that fixed.
Only Starbuck's open & taking app orders after a certain time in evening...most close at 5 pm now! This was a drive thru. They made sure I had a mask on in the car.
Absolutely greatest Starbucks ever. The staff are the kindest people and the management is impeccably professional. 10/10 would recommend. Great for studying too :)
Nice n quiet here!! I love the bus stop out side The manager Austin is the coolest,Very classy, employee! Nice and clean, bathrooms are great. A great Hangout
The location is great but most employees have the worst service and behavior. They always trying to come up on top and competing with customers. Fake smiles.
This Starbucks is large. The seating space is plentiful. The staff is friendly and is just down the street from me. A lot of good things about this place!
Super easy to order online on the app and I love that they allow to pick up via the drive through. Genius! Great service, very friendly staff and smooth.
Take out inside the store and also, drive through. Stuff are always friendly this location. No dine in and no restroom at this moment of covid-19.
I wish there was indoor dining cos it was nice and cozy inside with leather sofas. Patio was spacious but tables weren't cleaned after each guest.
Good luck getting any hot coffee at this place. Every coffee I get is served cold. Might as well put ice cubes in it to make it an iced coffee.
Really big store with lots of room for customers. The service here is fast and friendly. I will visit this one every chance I get! …

Spacious, clean and helpful staff. Fast WiFi. Haven't used the drive thru, but that would be a convenient time saver.

Pretty standard Starbucks. Drinks taste as expected, workers are always helpful.
Drinks are only okay, taste kind of watered down.
