My mom was under Dr. Steven Kamara when she was admitted to Cedars Sinai back on Oct 29th for pneumonia. We had no idea how bad her condition was until we quickly realized that she will not be discharged any time soon. During her entire ordeal, Dr. Kamara was there at my mom's bedside every step of her long recovery. Her condition was so bad we didn't think she would ever be discharged and no hope for any quality of life. However, Dr. Kamara gave my mom the best care and treatment, she finally was able to come home January 6th, 2022. During the entire treatment, Dr. Kamara's first and primary concern was to make sure her treatment did not further endanger my mom's health. Her experience with pneumonia was life changing experience. However, I know she is grateful for having more time with her family and values each day she is alive. She refers to Dr. Kamara as her savior and angel for saving her life. She is never bitter but rather grateful for each day waking up and realizing that she is no longer at Cedars. She never sees the oxygen tube as a handicap but a reminder that Dr. Kamara gave her a second lease on life and opportunity to live it fully, regardless of her new limitations. Finally, it is so refreshing to have a scheduled appointment and be seen on a timely manner. It shows that Dr. Kamara values and respect his patients' time and understands his patient care is his utmost importance. I don't mind the 1.5 drive to LA because I know my mom feels safe and confidant that she is getting the best care under your supervision.

I am writing to share my experience from my internist, Dr. Steven Kamara, MD. Dr. Kamara is a very reliable and on hands medical provider. He is very easy to reach, and very accessible. He’s been taking care of my late mother and me ever since. I had a severe UTI which if it was not treated urgently and aggressively, I probably have suffered severe damage if not dead. I went to the ER at a local hospital in Burbank, with complaints of vomiting, diarrhea, bloody and painful urination causing me to get very weak. I was treated with IV and oral antibiotics and sent home after the IV was half finished. When I got home, the symptoms had gotten worse and my husband drove me to Cedars Sinai ER. I was admitted under Dr. Kamara’s care. I was on the brink of passing out, and I have learned later that I was having Sepsis. If not for Dr. Kamara’s thorough and aggressive treatment, I don’t think I could have survived my ordeal. What I like about him, is his extensive clinical experience and his being there with the patient. Every time I had to contact him; he was always there to answer personally. I am so grateful that I have found a medical internist with such experience and caring personality as a professional. I will not hesitate to refer this great doctor to my family and to anyone I care. I firmly believe that Dr. Kamara is a rare kind, one who really cares and very good at what he does.

Always a 5 stars experience when going for an annual/ healthy check w/ Dr. Kamara and his associates! Bea is at the front desk...she is excellent and top-notch in all matters, from scheduling appts to handling further tests/ exams, when a CT scan, or x-rays are needed, and getting prescriptions sent, etc. She is also a wonderful and genuine person, and downright cares!! Julie is the associate who does the lab blood draws, conducts the EKG testing, etc. She has always been great as well, and truly deserves acknowledgement and kudos for the important role she plays at the doctor's office. Last but not least, Dr. Kamara has been our PCP (he takes care of my wife also) for many years. He takes his time (despite his busy and demanding schedule) to get to know his patients and truly cares for their well-being. His application of medical knowledge and experience in internal medicine on formulating treatment plans, recommendations, etc. for his patients is phenomenal. We are truly blessed to have these folks on our team!!

Happy to leave this review!! I have been looking for a great doctor for a year plus now, and stumbled across Dr. Kamara’s practice, which has racing reviews. I then decided that I would try it out, but was skeptical that it would be the same traditional approach with patients, and not someone who is gentle with their approach on health issues. My prior physician was someone who was younger, and understood how to motivate you to make healthier choices without creating fear of your wellbeing. He was also someone who was not quick to implement taking a lot of unnecessary medicinal steps. Saying all this to say that I found someone who is thorough, and also pretty laid back with his approach. Speedy service, and a team who loves what they do. Lastly, the receptionist was amazing, and handled every patient as if she had known them for many years. Gentle and warm!!! I will definitely making this my go to!!

Dr Kamara was my emergency Doctor back in 2009. With his expertise coupled with compassion I knew who my new primary doctor was going to be. During those years he has dealt with me approximately 2 times in surgeries. What I appreciate most about our Dr /Patient relationship is that he's a good listener. I have specific thoughts of healing, Dr Kamara is sensitive to my religious beliefs and sent me to a great hematologist. With all surgeries I never needed a blood transfusion..... Even when I got COVID-19, I was able to get an appointment the same day. And in 17hrs I had a positive diagnosis..... another thing I like him is his office workers, Bea and his laboratory assistance right there in the office. Yes I recommend Dr Kamara to anyone.

This doctor is amazing he takes his time to listen and spend time on your chart, orders tests,and reviews discusses them with you very knowledgeable doctor incredible bedside manners ..his nurses take great care of me one is in his lab and I love B she's manages his office and is the best in town the in house lab is private and convenient. I have never been happier he has admitting rights to cedars and im able to see him in hospital as well. So far so good. My husband is currently a patient of Dr. Kamara of almost 2 years. He is always willing to answer any questions we have, and has been thorough in my husband's medical care. I appreciate him speaking with us over the phone when we couldn't get to the office during the pandemic. Update: Dr. Kamara is one of the most attentive Doctors I've seen in a long time. My husband is a patient of his, and hasn't had care like this from any other Dr; He went the extra mile to return my husband's call, and to follow up with him. We definitely appreciate him for taking my husband on as a patient a few years back. And his receptionist (Bea) is an absolute blessing working at the front desk.

I was pleasantly impressed by Dr. Kamara's practice from the first time I stepped in there. The office manager welcomes you with a friendly voice, willing to help you with all the information you need. Dr. Kamara is a thorough and carrying doctor, and he has the patience to listen to you and the ability to act promptly and efficient. Every time I'm going to his office I'm feeling like visiting an old friend who is taking a great care of me. I have to mention that the schedule is always respected. It never happened to me to wait more than five minutes once in a while. I would certainly recommend Dr.Kamara to my family and friends.

Dr Kamara and Bea at the front desk are like Batman and Robin, they will do everything in their power to get you taken care of. Whether that’s calling your insurance on your behalf, or fitting you in for a last minute appointment, I have seen Bea do this countless times and I know that she does it all day. FYI, the office is kind of first come, first serve; everyone in the office when you walk in will get seen before you, so try to get to your appointment a little early if possible. The actual office is no frills but who cares, Dr Kamara and his team are gems worth holding on to.

The room was very clean and looked brand new. There was construction going on in the building but that wasn’t even an inconvenience. The nurse was super friendly and was a pleasure to talk with. The doctor was amazing and had no trouble at all getting me the meds I needed to start healing. This was night and day compared to the other doctor I went to just 5 building away that could have helped contain and heal much sooner. Dr Karama was a pleasure and seemed genuinely worried with the pain I was in. I would suggest him to anybody!

I hadn't been to a Doctor for a wellness check in years, so I was nervous to go. From the first phone call to the last follow-up visit, I was impressed by the staff and by Dr. Kamara. All were friendly and very accommodating. I didn't have to wait too long to see Dr. Kamara once I got to the office, and he was pretty patient and listened to my concerns. Dr. Kamara and his staff are very professional and proactive with their words and actions. I was sent by my Worker's comp physician to go here for a Pre-operational exam. The only issue I had was parking. I parked across the street. The parking to the left of the office is not reccomended unless you want your vehicle valet. Other than that, the visit to Dr. Kamara was a good experience.
