Finally an Asian supermarket in South Calgary! It has all the familiar items, large varieties of Asian vegetables, amazing seafood area, a huge assortment of snacks, dry goods, and also the amazing hot food and bakery areas. You can even get BBQ duck, Charsu and ssoy Chicken on the hot table just like the rotisserie hickens at Safeway! You'll also find kitchen tools and small appliances, which at the moment, have as good, and even better prices than Amazon. It was pretty busy, but the COVID protocols are on point. Line up to get in, marked lanes, temperature check and plenty of security. You may have to remind some people to follow the direction of flow in the aisles, as some shoppers clearly have either forgotten or actually not known about it. Just be polite. Carts and baskets are sanitized inside so don't grab any carts that are outside in the stalls. Checkouts were quick and plenty of plexiglass shields to protect everyone. Looks like there will be a Bubble tea shop opening up within soon. Parking isn't too bad, spots are a tad narrow so keep that in mind. Just glad to be able to get BBQ chicken, duck and Charsu, and frozen dim sum without the trek to Chinatown or the NE.
Finally, a location in the south. Since this location just recently opened, everything of course is brand new, with a brand new car smell to come along with with. I came here around 4PM the day it opened and during covid and there was no line. Similar to the other two location, they employ the same covid prevention protocols but on top of that, they had people at the entrance ensuring patrons coming in and out of the store to maintain social distance. The store is a good size and has the same offerings as the other location. One thing that is missing are the stores traditionally found outside the grocery store (since the others are in a mall setting). They also offer a lot of pre made meals that you can get and take home. Paying was also a breeze as they offer both cashier and self checkout I will definitely be coming back here for my Asian grocery needs!
Nice and bright supermarket with plenty of items. Located near Ikea, Walmart and Superstore. It is pretty handy. To reach the store, there are the Max Teal and the bus 43 (the ones I usually take). There is a kitchen inside the store where you can buy roasted pork, bbq duck, and dumplings. Looks tummy but I’ve never tasted them yet. The bakery offers quite a large choice of breads. I tried the sausage and cheese one, but it wasn’t to my taste, as the bread was a bit sweet and didn’t work with the sausage and cheese. There are lots of instant noodles but I find a pity they just sell them in package. For that, I prefer the store Lucky. Besides that, you can find tons of snacks to satisfy your cravings. Dishware and kitchen electrics are available too. From time to time you get nice discounts, so don’t miss put your chance to save money.
The newest T&T to date in Calgary a 4/5 - good spacing control, mask wearing, temperature taking here. It is smaller than the other location near Marlborough. The overall supermarket is well organized, clean and well stocked. As it is a smaller store, they seem to have a little less variety of goods. Rating their BBQ offering though - not a fan of it and would give it a 2.5 maybe 3/5. Ranges from 9.50 for one item or 10.50 for 2. The cut wasn't nice nor was it Appealing to look at. The taste also was lacking good flavours. I would find elsewhere (other local Chinese BBQ places for better BBQ). Their steamed buns - although on the pricier end (sometimes goes on sale for a dollar or two less) , is tasty with a good content to bun ratio and nothing is too dry. Would recommend the buns. 4/5
This Asian grocery store is a very welcome addition to the south end of the city. Been here a few times and it is always clean and fully stocked. It is busy anytime of the day so I am always cognizant of maintaining my own social distancing. I love the made-to-order food from Asian Street Food outlet and they are all reasonably priced too. I have ordered here a few times and my favourites are the Popcorn Chicken on Rice and the Steamed Buns. The Taiwanese Fried Rice Noodles is actually pretty good too. Now I don’t have to go all the way to the north end of the city to get Asian grocery items.
Horrible customer service. Charge me twice for the item. When I go back to get refund, Ann questioned me, argued with me and refused to refund. They wasted a lot of my time, and eventually refund the money. I get no apologies from them. Ann did not follow the Scanner Price Accuracy Code to compensate their mistake. The staffs working on the promotion items are great, but the cashiers try their best to not scan the barcode to give credits to those promotion staffs. Then, they make mistakes, and the customers pay for the price of their conflicts.
Yeah, there is a new T&T store, and it is in Alberta this time. They continue to sell Asian foods, fruit, and ready-to-eat meals in addition to a buffet station. This dinner is an excellent deal, in my opinion. But, within T&T there is a Chinese herbal shop, the owner was friendly, a bubble tea shop, a dim sum restaurant, and it appears that they serve roast duck, which sounds delicious! Don't miss the tiny food court where you may enjoy your T&T takeout. There is a Korean grocery store nearby, and the cuisine is fantastic!
used to like ice dessert tofu pudding with kits, not sure why TNT DF store change it to a samller pack tofu pudding with poor quality, the volume become half of it, the worse is the ingredient all mixed in a small container, very messy and taste is not as good as before, we really like that orininally bigger kit, we found that tofu pudding kit in SG store the other day, and really like the kit with better quality, people rather spend a few more dollars to buy tofu pudding kits, not a small pack mixed all material in it
Yes, another T&T store and this time is in Alberta! As always they sell asian goodies and produce, also ready to asian meals together with buffet station. In my opinion this is a good deal meal. On the other hand, inside T&T there is a chinesse herbal shop, the lady was nice, a bubble tea shop, a dim sum place and looks like the have roast duck, yum! Not to forget the small area food court to enjoy your to go meal from T&T. By the way, there is a korean food store and the food is amazing!
It's a great store for all Asian food. They have a great selection and prices are very competitive. The 2 star is for the poor customer service. We wanted green onions and all the ones on the shelf were......very sad. We asked a staff member if there were any in the back? and we were told, quote "we are very busy maybe later someone can bring more out" they are now owned by Loblaws, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised!
T&T is an Asian supermarket staple. This one in Deerfoot meadows is in the location of what used to be Wholesale Sports. One of the smaller T&Ts in town, but still a good selection of the basics. I do feel, however, that the hot food selections aren't quite on the level of those at some of the other locations in Calgary, both in terms of freshness and quality
When i visit T&T im able to purchase all my favourite asian snacks, like Pocky. I love the bun section where you can buy an asortment of yummy warmed goods. The Ramen isle is filled with treasures ( highly recommend Nissin eggnoodles) T&T supermarket gets me all i need and im able to save a couple dollars by using my T&T card.
Nice to have a South location. In terms of stock levels - relative to the NE and North locations, which are well stocked, for produce that are on sale are usually out of stock or very low in stock (left with bad/sad produce). You may need to reach out to personnel to refill shelves. Hopefully they can improve stock levels.
Never stepped foot in this T&T before but decided to check it out after dinner at M Bistro. It’s a bit run down now and the shelves weren’t stocked for the items I was looking for. It’s really no different than the one in Pacific Centre, though I do find they may not rotate their foods as often as the one in the NE.
I really enjoy shopping here. Overall it's a really fun experience that almost feels like being at an Asian market where you can buy groceries and a snack at the same time. They have bubble tea, chinese buffet and Korean food. My only complaint is that the produce doesn't seem overly fresh. Otherwise it's awesome.
Temperature check by the entrance and mandatory mask on. Organized and very clean store. So many variety of Asian food. A bit pricey though. Not stinky compared to other T&T locations. Staff are nice and helpful. Not busy on weekdays, I will avoid to go on weekends because it’s crazy busy. Big parking lot as well.
What I enjoy about this grocery store is fresh affordable fruits and vegetables, fresh and frozen seafood, great variety of sauces, fresh to go sushi, and warm take away food. It is bright and clean. They know how to move people through checkout efficiently. I get to experience new flavors everytime I visit.
I been there before to buy dragon fruit and the clerk was very helpful in explaining what to look for. Today, I went to get coffee, and they have a great selection of it and some persimmon from New Zealand. Overall, they have a great selection. The staff was great. I will go back there again
Absolutely packed full of every Asian style ingredient you need. The market has yummy ready to eat food that is a must try. Items are slightly more expensive in some cases due to them being imported but some rare gems and flavors you will not find at traditional Canadian supermarkets.
Good location in SW, nearby IKEA. Food, grocery are very diversified; also shopping area is very clean. BBQ duck, Sushi, Chinese bun in Kerean kitchen bar are fresh. There are 2 or 3 check out lines, but they provide order online and pickup in store.
Love this newest location. Clean and full of fresh produce and fun grab and go items. Especially love the steam buns and the original cake sandwiches. Delicious and well priced. Also check out their vegan crème brûlée, that comes in three flavours!
A fantastic asian supermarket with a huge selection of fresh, frozen, and dry goods. The bakery is fantastic and you can get amazing hot and delicious foods ready to eat. I already come here for ramen soups, different candies, pop, and breads.
Limited Asian products. Bakery products don't taste as good as before. One of the reasons we go to t&t is the cheap but quality hot food. Now, it's pricey and seems reheated leftover. Staff is just the same as before. They still don't smile
Wider selection and a bigger store. I love shopping at T&T for the unique selection of goods they usually carry and they bakery section is fantastic. This location carries a wider selection of items than the one near my house in the nw
T&T is my favorite place. There are various ingredients and special events every week. But not yesterday. Line 11 Casher didn't greet me, and she wouldn't even make eye contact with me. Even when she gave the receipt, she was insincere. It
I have been shopping at T & T since it ended its first store in Marlborough location. Everything are always fresh meat, produce, ready to eat meals and bakery. A large varieties of Asian groceries and frozen goods. I am a big fan of durian
Excellent Super Market to get all your essential Asian ingredients and the ever popular BBQ meats from the Kitchen. There is an excellent selection of instore baked items as well such as BBQ meat buns and the very tasty coconut cream buns.
The staffs are so friendly, I do my groceries specially the vegetables are fresh and reasonable price. They stock well and the place is clean and sanitized as i've seen. The guy in the front door give me token for the cart it helps a lot!
Awesome selection! Lots of exotic fruits, and different types of candies and snacks. I need to go back and spend some time browsing the spice aisle and the bakery. If you have not been... definitely recommend you check it out
The good: clean, helpful friendly staff, restaurant on site, lots of selection and variety, better prices than even Walmart or Safeway on lots of items, decent parking available The bad: carts are $1 lock outs
This place has all the groceries of a regular store. But it also contains Asian specialties. One of the best features is the asian bake shop and the hot food pickup buffet. For people like me it is great.
Shopping experience was pleasant! If you’re making hotpot, they have everything you need! Or any Asian dish! They have kids carts and you can drink bubble tea and eat food there! So good! 1000% recommend!
Amazing variety of different products that you don't see in most stores. The produce was fantastic and prices were good. The seafood and meat all looks fresh. Over all a great store to try something new.
Nice store with a good selection of Asian products. There is lots of free parking available. My daughter had some Ramen soup and really enjoyed it at one of the restaurants inside the store.
The store has a lot of things and it was nice to see it beautifully decorated. I just wish the entrance door was not to narrow...it feels crowded with all this distant restrictions.
They send strawberries that are rotten. They should not have been sold and thrown out. And only refunded portion of the amount. This is bad reputation. I will not shop here anymore.
If you are looking for unique things and love to try something new look no further (their awesome variety of pastries and fresh sea food plus exotic fruits)I highly recommend it.
Large variety of items at the grocery and food counters compared to other locations. Spacious but there's often a lot of customers. Has a Korean and Chinese restaurant within.
This oriental Chinese grocery isn't cheap vs the other grocery stores but they have great varieties in Asian foods. Their sushi is a little overpriced and used to be better.
I think this is my favorite T&T in the city. It’s just always good here. Good service, good selections. Honestly I’m here too much. (PSST get the BBQ pork steam bun ) …
Good selection and great prices. We do find certain items such as the garlic are sometimes gone off when we buy them. Great food in the food court area and good bubble tea!
Sushi smells and tastes really bad. Before today everything was fine, but today I give you one star because my dinner was canceled and I need to go and buy something else.
Good place to buy fresh produce, seafood, and meats. Some items are a little bit pricey. Parking is few, unless you park to either The Brick or Walmart's parking area.
I bought an kitchen ware the other day and today I went to exchange. They are very nice and let me get a right one. I was very happy and very impressed. Thank you.
Well staffed and clean with an excellent selection of foods, kitchenware and other household items with frequent sales and things you can't find anywhere else
This is a great supermarket for Asian ingredients, fresh seafood, and even lunch buffet. Not everyone speaks fluent English but just ask for a colleague.
So nice! Very clean. Crisp. New. Flow is amazing. Hot foods to order. Great selection. Easy to find everything and friendly staff! Will be going back!
Viennetta cake!!! Need I say more?? Lol So many unique flavors, you won't find in any other store. I love visiting this place to see what I can find.
My favourite t&t, the hot food section is great and the meat section is fantastic! The produce is always fresh and the ramen selection is great!
I go for the grapes, but there's so much more. The bakery always has something tasty, and the buffet is full of items to choose from ...
Always reliable, friendly staff. The bbq duck and pork are delicious! Great prices, and one of the few places to find enoki mushrooms.
Fresh produce, lots of variety. Big aisles, clean, good prices and friendly staff! I didn't find Horseradish root, please bring it in.
it can get busy and expensive. Only get things when they are on sale. Ever since Loblaw bought this store, things get more expensive
I was very impressed at the wide range of items. You will find items here hard to find elsewhere. Fresh fish of many varieties.
Great selection of Asian produce and snacks. I was especially impressed at how clean and well organized the whole store was
My favorite tnt out of the three in Calgary easy to navigate and well organized but the sushi section is kinda small.
This is the best TNT in Canada. Great selection , great take out. 5 star customer service. Kudos to Martin and team!
Great place to eat! Wife loves the sushi and shrimp and I love the buffet. Food is always fresh and tasty!
The best bakery of all the T&T locations and they've had great cheap fruit specials all summer.
Best T&T I’ve been to. Friendly staff and the layout isn’t chaotic like some other locations.
This place is always packed. Great place to get all your Asian ingredients and take out food.
Good location with a wide variety of Asian grocery items and fresh Bakery products too.
Love the fresh seafood and veggies. If you like Asian food better check this place.
Great choice for local ethnic ingredients fair prices for the most part
