I just had the most traumatic experience of being accused for stealing because “I look young”. I was looking around at the skincare aisle and I was googling reviews on specific skincare brands so I stood there for a while and noticed the security guard watching me from afar but didn’t pay much attention to it. When I went to the other aisles to pick up groceries, I noticed he was still following me and watching me so I asked him if there was a problem as I found it very uncomfortable. He proceeded to say he was just walking around and left the general area that I was in. I went to the self checkout to pay and he was behind me and he watched me pay for everything, yet he still decided to chase me out into the parking lot to accuse me of stealing a face lotion. I showed him the receipt and he turned to walk away without an apology of any sort. I asked to speak to a manager because that attitude is not ok. Even though he watched me pay for my items, he tried to justify his actions by saying I was “blocking the screen so he couldn’t see”. When I spoke to the assistant manager, he kept apologizing on the security guards behalf and they kept commenting on my age saying “there’s been a lot of young people stealing these days”. They thought I was younger than my actual age 25, however, that doesn’t make it ok for the security guard to treat someone like that. All throughout the whole interaction, the security guard kept trying to justify his actions and was not apologetic at all even though he was clearly in the wrong and I did not steal. He even went as far to say that his colleagues thought I was suspicious but had no evidence to back it up. The security guard showed no remorse even after he was clearly wrong about me stealing. This whole experience shows that TnT and their employees will judge you based on how you look.
This place has lots lots to see and feel like you walk into Chinatown. But the issues I encountered are: 1) the sushi rice doesn’t taste like sushi rice. I m sure they don’t use sushi rice to make sushi coz it is mushy. Sobeys has the best sushi. 2) I thought that I bought FRESH prawns/shrimp that were not frozen in the freezer, I bought them from TnT workers where they sold fresh seafood, and at that time I thought they were fresh, I found out I have been cheated on. Thinking if I wasn’t buying frozen then the seafood is fresh. However after cooking, the prawns were mushy. They weren’t fresh. One time I bought a frozen prawn in a box at TnT and after cooking they were so mushy that we couldn’t eat them. From now on, I will buy prawns/shrimps swimming in the tank at TnT supermarket. 3) my mom bought fresh fish that was not frozen. She placed in fridge right away. And the next day the fish meat turn very dark. My mom was wondering and telling me she bought it fresh and not frozen, why meat turned dark. 4) Their steamed buns are not fresh chicken meat . The filling is from the chicken meat can. I m sure anything gonna expired or gonna go rotten from TnT store, they cook and sell them to us before they go bad. So watch out what you buy at TnT store. I will still shop there coz they are other stuff I like But I ain’t buying prawns shrimps and fish there anymore that are laying on the crushed ice coz they ain’t fresh fresh Careful on what you buy there
I had a horrible experience. I went in looking for an item and when I could not find it I asked a worker if he could assist me. I approached him and said excuse me and he walked off. So I assumed he did not hear me so I said excuse me slightly louder and he stopped looked at me and I asked him where I could find the item. He pointed to a random aisle and walked off but I did not catch the aisle he was referring to and I asked him again which one was he referring to. He pointed to it more clearly. The entire interaction was so rude I could not believe I was being treated like that. I was trying to be courteous and polite the whole time and he could not give me even a second to say anything. I do believe I was treated this way because I am black because he helped another asian customer a few moments later and was speaking to her nicely, unlike me where he treated me as if I don't deserve a second of his time. I did not catch his name but I will never be shopping here again! I have friends who mentioned they have been in similar situations. T&T, do better!
It was kinda frustrating coz I always go here to buy hot food. One of the staff was rude when I questioned her why she's so stingy in putting meat to the meal I ordered. I always buy there that's why I know if one is messing up my order. So I told her " can you put more coz that's not the standard portion that I have been getting there. She said "no, this is enough". I told her that is less coz I am a regular customer. Then she said arrogantly " how many do you want?" I don't want the argument to continue so I told her it doesn't matter anymore. What was frustrating and disrespectful was she uttered a word to one of her co workers In their own language (chinese) in front of me right after I said that. Because of this incident I will not be going there anymore.
Today Dec 02, 2023 I went shopping there around 3 pm. When I self checked out, 1 of the vegetable plastic bag just broke, the vegetable droped at bagging area and floor. I asked 1 of the girls to give me a plastic bag, she just ignored, same as the other people who worked there. 1 lady customer rushed to get a plastic bag and said she doesn't want to leave me in the issue. Last weekend, I was going to grab some tofu walking beside check out area. 1 worker was running and almost bumped on me, but he didn't stop, nor say sorry, instead he tried to squeeze around and passed me. People are cold, rude, I don't feel safe. Just don't feel like shopping there any more. I don't understand how management operates business in this store, and will need some explanation.
I been here so many times. I use to go for the cheap breakfast special. Congee, dimsum, and Chinese donut, I don't think they have it anymore, buts its all good I come here every once in awhile for there brisket soup for 10.99 They always have a huge selection of suishi. I really like there pig ear dish they have in the packages. They also have bamboo sticks. I bought 5 of them and they still growing after all these years. I bought some oysters too. They were good There's also a few tables located at the exit so I usually stop and munch on what I bought. Not sure what to really say. They have self checkout if you dont like talking to people :) I never had a issue here. Everything is easy to find. They also have balut :)
November 13, 2023. Took another picture of the bathroom sink. Tap fixed, but still disgusting. Watched a worker go into a stall & leave without waking her hands. This place has really gone downhill. The shelves are empty & messy. The bathroom is super disgusting. I was ignored by three counters, BBQ (on personal phone), sushi (packing right in front of me but wouldn't look up), dessert (packing right in front of me then walked away without looking up). I can usually get the things I need-> ochazuke, wakame mix for miso, pork fluff buns, custard tarts, fresh BBQ pork, sashimi, lemongrass paste etc. I was only able to get a small portion of my list. I actually found more at Lucky supermarket down the street. ¯\_ಠ_ಠ_/¯

Its an Asian grocery store, which the Best time to go is in the morning to noon.. if you go and shop for groceries after work it's a little difficult to find items as they stop restocking around noon, unless the item is completely out. Lots of great items, but do shop around for other items like corn, or baking items at nearby stores like Walmart or Safeway as its cheaper there overall. If you're looking for great snacks, this is the place to go. Also their cakes are very well made and quite tasty as well. TLDR; TNT is a very reliable source for groceries as long as you try to come in early. Overpriced at some items, so be ready to shop at other places to get it cheaper.
Perhaps this store's management should spend some more time to teach their staffs about basic hygiene towards customers. I was in the fish dept and saw this young employee holding a dirty hose and cleaning the floor. After he made eye contact, he came to serve me and was about to hold the fish with those same gloves that he had been wearing while cleaning the floor. I had to call him out on this and ask if he would be handing the fish with those same dirty gloves. Took him a while to realize what I was talking about and he then went inside to change the gloves. But he was unapologetic about it, and to him it appeared to be a "normal" thing.
August 21, 2022 - 2☆ rating Bought a bunch of snacks with different flavours. Price has definitely gone way up. These snacks used to be around 89 cents and now selling for $1.39! 2019 October 2019 - 1☆ rating ATTENTION MANAGEMENT KINDLY REMIND YOUR SMOKING STAFF NOT TO SMOKE BY THE ENTRANCE DOORS YOUR COMPANY IS IN VIOLATION OF THE NON-SMOKING CITY BYLAW. It doesn't matter what time or day I come to shop, there's always a staff or two enjoying their smokes by the entrance doors while your customers are subjected to second hand smoking. It's now becoming a habit and this practices has to stop!
Love coming here I always find something to buy and try something new. I've tried so many different things and I love that it's not just food, it's health and beauty goods, housewares and electronics as well I can easily spend hundreds of dollars in this store if I had the money to do so. Some things are a bit pricey but they usually have some sales going on and they have a very wide selection of fresh produce and veggies as well as meat. It's usually a must stop if I'm near there, last time I picked up a few things including this mango sandwich from their deli it was delicious
Very large selection of items, also provides lunch and dinner for an affordable price of $7.99 for a combo meal. They have rice and traditional chinese restaurant pre-cooked dishes, noodle bowls, dim sum, bbq, and roasted pork. The staff that serve the food are quite cheap though, not providing much per portion, and every year they switch to cheaper ingredients like broccoli to leafy veges. The floor staff are really friendly though and will help you find anything you need. Lots of items to be found, but not many Western varieties like breads, cereal, and frozen goods.
Holy !! We gave thisTNT bakery chances a few times. It was so disappointing. My parents who are 90 and 85 rejected to eat the cake the first time we bought the cream roll. I thought I’d give them another chance , ordered a Black Forest cake , it also screwed up! It is better to remove the baker who works there! They look good but taste terrible. I have been to all tnt, both south side and west mall tnt bakery have very good tasty cakes, the cream rolls tastes the best in west mall. The Egg tart I would say in south side tnt is best !
Honestly not bad i like the cleanliness where, good selection of veggies at a very fair price the deli and hot food is nice the fresh salmon sashimi my lord so good although and I say this with love but I wish more English speaking people worked there or if the people that currently worked there would be more attentive or maybe learn the language a little better so they could help customers I mean you live in Canada... right ? Sorry to anyone offended I bet more people just won't say the truth out loud
Went here this morning to get some noodle soup, bbq pork bun, and dim sum this morning. The lady behind the noodle and dim sum shop was very rude when taking my orders, not only to me but also to the other customer asking for a single soy sauce for a dipping sauce. Her rude reply was " no more sauce go to customer service". Seriously need to go to customer service to ask for a soy sauce?? Prices are high, and poor services.
Terrible customer service! I call in and ask if they have fruit jelly candy in stock and the guy without even going to look tells me no. So i asked him how he knows that without even going to check and so he asks me so what are you talking about. So i explained and he just abruptly says no again. I come to the store 5 min later and they have the shelf full of this product. To lazy to check. And no care about customers!
This place blows my mind everytime I go. Insane fresh seafood galore. Tons of produce and meats. All very reasonably priced. Tons of fresh food to pick from, and it they don't have it fresh they probably have it frozen. Really cool custom cakes, pokemon cakes even!! Hot sauce collection is pretty good too if your like spicy stuff. Lots of exotic candies available. A small amount of cookware available at good prices.
Horrible mixed fruit cake that I bought for my birthday at $45.I literally wasted my hard earned money, the cake was bad and made me sick. It's been 4 days and I'm yet to recover from the foul taste/smell of the presumed freshly baked cake. The cake was mushy, mashy and everyone at home hated it.I was deceived by the name "fruit cake".Imagine having raw fruits in a cake, very disgusting!I threw it away the next day.
I been there at hot food section and asked associate do you have fish she said yes .I ordered 3 item meal fish chicken and other chicken item .when I ate at my break time I found tofu chunks instead of fish and fish was only very small peice. One of the chicken was too high on msg I felt the taste and after eating I was praying not to get food poisoning. I ordered fish not a tofu.
If you do decide to get the food here, don’t. The only good deal is the BBQ combos which they stop serving at 5:40? The “fried rice” was basically boiled with veggies and chicken which made it completely bland and flavorless. The inside of my stewed meatball was red and raw. I should’ve bought instant noodles for a dollar instead of wasting my money here to be honest.
Very diversified in choices of Chinese food products that's unavailable in most local grocery stores. Also the prepared cuisine if bbq pork, roast pork, stir fried veges makes it possible to have instant lunch. Fresh seafood still moving in tanks makes good shopping for tonight's dinner. We also selected a wide choice of frozen items just too many to mention.
This place is absolutely incredible, so many Asian choices and authentic items you wouldn't find anywhere else!! Hot items prepared daily!! Buffet style, too, that gets weighed at the end. Sushi, of course!! Many styles of jerky even vegetarian style too which is awesome for me!!! Frozen items, fresh produce, and meats as well!! Good prices, too
Huge Asian grocery store. They have a huge selection of both South Asian, Vietnamese and Chinese grocery products. At the front of the store, they have lots of prepared food to eat. They even have bubble tea to go. I love their bakery selection too. They have lots of checkout lines too. The parking lot can get very busy.
Great Asia food super market. The staff is friendly and courteous. It’s clean and well lit. This store is a one stop shop for fantastic pastries, produce, takeout, fresh meat and fish. There is a really cool live fish and crustacean area. It’s easily accessible but parking is a bit of a hassle when it’s busy.
Okay place. Prices are not good at all, but they do have some items that are hard to find at other places. I usually just buy the stuff that goes on sale over there. Staff are pretty nice, but some of them do t speak English so it's hard to determine what they're saying. Other than that, not bad
Very racially oriented employee pattern. The staff at the wet fish market is not trained and professional in cutting and cleaning. 99% of the employees are from particular Asian race. This is denial of equal opportunity for employment. East Asian and South Asian food items are very sparse.
Always a great variety of new and exotic foods at T and T. Produce is fresh, baked goods smell delicious and meat and seafood readily available. Only issue is parking, so I always avoid parking near the store to avoid bottlenecking by drivers who don't understand three way stop signs.
This place is amazing, it was my first time and I loved it, it has an incredible variety of products, the fresh food area is astonishing, I loved the cakes not only because of the beauty presentation, but also for the flavor and richness, it is an amazing place to get Asian products.
There's an excellent variety of products here; the produce is lovely, the baked goods are fresh, and the premade foods are delicious (I especially recommend the steamed buns in particular). My go to place when I need ingredients to cook authentic Asian meals.
Looking for dry soups with rice noodles in them is hard until you ask, and ask again until you are pointed in the right direction. A kind man who was working there stopped and helpful me to find 2 brands and multiple flavors. So happy for his help. …
I custom-ordered a cake from them and the experience was fantastic. They were able to make and finish it the day of, and the price for the amount of cake was reasonable. 10/10 for recreation and 10/10 for taste if you like cakes that aren’t too sweet.
I come here for mostly Japanese products (of which they do have a small selection of). Some of the imports include nori (seaweed), miso, drinks (tea and coffee), snacks (chocolates, kit kats), candies, natto, and furikake. The bakery has nice breads.
Made a cake order on 3/27 before the bakery closed and encountered a really rude staff member who made remarks about me because I did not speak mandarin to her. It was uncalled for and rude, I can understand what is being said about me.
Was looking for Chinese items that i needed for a recipe that were not available in the regular supermarkets. Found what I needed! This store is well stocked with everything chinese. Will definitely shop here again and recommend.
Love this store but things seem to move locations all the time so sometimes I find things I need in an aisle and the next time I come back it's somewhere completely different. Always have great deals on green onions though!
I love going here for lunch. You can get awesome soup for $9. They have all sorts of prepared food for a quick affordable lunch. I perfer asian foods in general. When I want to eat out for cheap ... I swing by here.
We love to shop here when we come into town. I don't think it's ever not busy. The prices are good and we can buy huge bags of rice which is awesome. The bakery smells delicious and we can pick up a ton of seafood.
Their hot food service is terrible - very limited English signage, did not receive what I asked for. Was better when self-service. Don't go if you're not Chinese as the staff doesn't want to serve white people!
Okay I'm rating this place for my Malaysian wife and she says this is the best T & T in Edmonton. Great selection, very fresh produce and awesome fish balls. The parking lot is always a bit of a zoo though :)
OMG... fabulous I just love this store. I got exactly what I was looking for at a very inexpensive price plus more. I even got myself some slippers that are perfect for my small feet for under $5. Wow !!
I love this store with all the asian Varieties i'm always finding something i've never had before and end up liking a lot Recommend shopping here if you want to have a culinary experience
I come here all the time!! I especially love their sweet bread, banana milk and melona bars they sell here. I come here every weekend. There is a self-checkout and grocery clerk checkout.
I love Asian foods and you will get a lot's of food varieties.. I am not sure about utensils, but the fish variety and veggies and snacks are great for my choices.
Nice clean and organized. Great selection of foods. I found the Shitake mushrooms and Shiritake noodles here that I was looking for. Picked up some Nato as well.
Friendliest staff, cleanest and most relaxing atmosphere of all T&Ts in Edmonton. I didn’t feel rushed, or like I was bumping elbows with everyone in the store.
the store it's self is fine. parking on the other hand good luck and yeah your going to get either door dinged, crushed bumpers or your stuff stolen.
Always excited to visit T&T why? They have the most beautiful, colorful cakes display.. even though they are too pricey they are delicious. Love it
Today I found some bubble teas that looked so yummy but there were no ingredients written on them and employees had no idea what was in them …
I love T&T! Always some new Item for me to try, and they go through so much meat every day that there’s no doubt it’s fresher than most markets
Location wise.. easy accessible by public transport. Not all Asian brands are available like before. Perhaps need bigger space for the store?
T&T has lots of fresh fish and vegetables. I usually buy fresh shrimps from T&T. I earn points from this store whenever I buy items.
The store has a great selection of Asian goods and the lady at customer service is ALWAYS so helpful and courteous to customers.
Store is great to get all my asian groceries without driving to China town but parking is terrible there. Tight and small.
Smaller location always super busy. The food is great been coming for years. The only thing is the parking lot is horrible
I just love going here. Lots of variety. If you can't find something, there's staff all over the place to help you.
Wow I never realized how big and the selection was in this very interesting store I will shop here again
It's a good store to get a lot of the things that you need . And the Prices are not too bad either .
MASSIVE W my moms friends works here many of them they give me candy and cookies nice people
Nice Asian grocery store with convenient take out food cooked and prepared in house.
Less crowded T&T. Try here if you cannot get the hot sale item in South or WEM.
It's ok for a Asian grocery store, but does have a nice Bakery section. …
My favorite place when it comes to fresh seafood and Asian grocery shopping
The choices are endless. The take out is great..very friendly Parking sucks
One of my favourite T&T’s in the city . You can always find new snacks .
Great place to buy asian foods… great selections and fair price.
Nice supermarket. I love their bread and food. Nice staffs too
somewhat saturated with people, their cuisine is very good
Always enjoy their lunch buffet. Very fresh and delicious.
Great selection for Asian foods.
