Park far away- I've seen multiple accidents in this small parking lot, plenty of poor parkers (typical for Calgary), and smashed trees in parking lot due to poor drivers. Driver leaving parking lot going the wrong way on the median separated road almost caused another accident with myself and another car. Now inside the store- if you'd like to visit a store where all our established norms, politeness, and courtesy are thrown out the window, this is the place for you! Having a older Asian woman who was obviously mocking my being there buying asian groceries (cashier blushed and looked annoyed by this womans words thankfully) a fine example. Looking in the coolers from 2 feet away and having someone just go in front of you without a word, rude. Saw another young lady reach across some produce and sneezed directly on to fresh produce below, no covering of the mouth. Getting cutoff by staff who don't understand customer courtesy, twice, also rude. This all in one visit. Will not return- will take my money elsewhere, and besides, my auto insurance company will thank me. Awful experience.
I bought 2 pieces of angelfood cakes ftom TnT Sage hill store yesterday on Jun 09, when I open the package found some white molds at the center of both cakes .So I went back to the store this morning. The supervisor whose name was Allison checked the labels on the cakes found they were dated on Jun 05 as manufacturing date, she immediately called the bakery team lead to clarify the issues. She did not yell or using any hard words to the baking staff, she was calm and takes the issues in a very seriously and professionally ways to find out why an overexpired food items could still be placed on sale. I was very impressed with her working attitudes and how she handled the investigation in a very professional way. I will definitely go back to shop not only for their products, but also they have someone like Allison who is so serious abouts her job and the store's reputation .
Great new T&T Supermarket in Sage Hill! This newly opened store replaces the Loblaw City Market that used to be here. The outside and inside both look modern and clean, with all of the Asian supermarket products and produce you expect to find at other T&Ts. There is a small dining area as with many other T&T locations, along with a nice “KITCHEN” area that serves freshly prepared meals which are incredibly convenient for a grab and go style lunch or dinner! The offerings include noodle soups, Chinese crepes, roast pork/char siu, etc. there are self checkout counters and conventional cashiers as well, and the parking lot is big but you may have trouble looking for a spot during peak hours. This is a great, central supermarket in the Sage Hill area which is well worth visiting!
Honestly feel they rush to open the store without proper set up and training of employees. Found rotten vegetables, low quality fresh food too. The signs is very unclear it’s hard to find the item you looking for. The layout is different then other T&T store basically they just taking over Loblaw City Market and do little bit make over then that’s it. Especially the Tianjin Pancake exclusively sold here, every time there is huge line up and they insist not increasing booth or extend the opening time. It’s the hunger marketing to make you stay longer at the store probably you will end up buying more items. I recommend going to T&T in harvest hills much bigger and wider aisles
Today I had a very unpleasant experience. I purchased food after 8pm this evening, and both my wife and children were sitting in one place and eating simply. But the cleaning staff came and started cleaning. However, he put a broom under our table and cleaned it. It was very embarrassing. The cleaning staff made quite a loud noise when moving the chairs in other seats, making the guests uncomfortable and all the other guests left. We sat down with leftover food, but he looked wanting that we left. I used to visit this place often, but I won't go anymore because it's inconvenient.
An Asian supermarket where you can find plenty of interesting thing to cook. I like the sea food alternatives: mussels, squids, fish, crabs, shrimps… I tried sea bass and sea bream several times and all were very tasty and fresh. Also the only place that you can find goose meat which I like a lot. I am new to Asian cuisine and each time I visit this place, I try different kinds of food and up to now I’m satisfied with this supermarket. The only negative thing is that supermarket is overcrowded and parking lot is very small. I had to wait a lot to find an empty parking place.
It's so nice to have a new storefront to go into. I have only ever been in older stores. From here to Vancouver this is probably the nicest one. I find in there bakery and fresh food area they are more bountiful then other T&Ts. And they have a crepe station aswell which I have not seen before. They do not have a attached restaurant though like dim sum or a bubble tea. So that is the only reason I gave them 1 less star.
Bought Mango Moose cake on the occasion of Mother's Day for my wife. Happy to say that my wife and my daughter loved the cake . Sugar level was so impressive that we enjoyed the cake so much that we will the cake again for no reason . Staff was very friendly and professional. The only thing that bothered me was that most of the cake were pre ordered, and luckily, I got this one which made our day.. Thanks TNT
T&T stores offer good varieties and it's nice to explore new items. The only issue is that some items can't be found where expected. Just an example, looking for some snack items and then finding them at the end of the spice section instead. I like that they have their own brand of bakery and few items. That is good support for the local economy. Highly recommended to visit and explore something new every time.
Beautiful new T&T, lots of variety, smaller than Harvest Hills T&T but it has all departments. The new addition of Desserts Bar is excellent. Hot Ready Meal section is perfect for dine-in or take out. Produce , bakery, seafood, meat, a d grocery departments are all great. Parking is small for such a busy crowded store, hopefully should be better after few days of the grand opening. Well done T&T.
Nice to have another Asian grocery store nearby. Love the clean feel and freshness of T&T. They in-store Taiwanese dessert and Tianjin pancake is a plus to attract more customers and try more ethnic foods! I feel this place is a bit bigger than the one in county hills and as almost as big as the one in the south! Can't wait to try some of the fantastic desserts!!!
Has the an awesome produce section compared to most grocery stores. The fruit is particularly good … yes the expensive mangoes are worth it!!! The staff, especially on the front tills are so proactive and kind :) … been loving all the bakery things too Believe it not the buffet is actually pretty good! Better than the delivery we had the other night
We finally made it here, and what a nice and clean T & T store this was. The store is bright and spacious and, overall, felt so clean too. Produce and products were stocked neatly and fully. Bonus: sushi is 50 percent off close to closing. This is so worth picking up! The rice has gotten better over the years and holds up well as premade, budget sushi.
"New" T&T, used to be a City Market. Shopping carts and facilities are in good condition. The kids love the mini shopping carts. Aisles are kind of tight, and it's definitely a smaller space compared to the T&T at Harvest Hills. Parking lot is really small and the spaces are tight. Would definitely recommend going during less busy times.
Although T&T is one of my favourite stores but I was disappointed today. I ordered fresh 8 inches mango cake for my daughter's birthday, mangoes were very sour and the whole cake was not sweet at all,in fact we had to remove the mangoes to eat the rest. They have sweet ripe ones in the produce section. Service was good though
Live seafood section’s service is not good at all. I bought 5 oysters today and one oyster is almost empty, I asked the lady who helped me open them twice please let me know if anyone is too small or not good so I will buy more….. all she told me that some bigger and some smaller, I guess empty is the smaller one for her.
This branch is a little smaller than the other T&Ts in the city but there is still a lot of everything. The products are sectioned nicely; the store feels very open. The parking situation is a little cramped but considering how this place opened recently, it should go back to regular crowds soon enough. Happy shopping!
Loveddd the atmosphere like its looks like real china supermarket! Many options for groceries like snacks, cakes and drinks extra. You can see many different culture foods there which really really convenience for us to shop many things in one place! Nice maintenance as well and friendly cashier!
Overall, this place is awesome. The deserts are amazing. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because of their sushi. I purchased the california rolls and the avocado rolls, ended up tossing them. Avocado was hard and cut in chunks, California rolls didn't have much taste to them.
Good place for sea stuff, many fresh type of fish, oyster, shrimp, lobster available. Enough parking space, mostly Good for importing stuff. The local stuff like dairy would be available with higher price, I loved the kids shopping cart with the tags customer under training!
Four stars due to higher than average price. Friendly stuff, various cooked food with a nice eating area, a lot of options for Asian food and groceries. Hope the price is a bit more affordable as some items can be really expensive if you don’t check the price tag upfront.
Very nice new grocery store! Many things to look at. Something for everyone. I love trying new things. I found all 7 recommended beverages and all 10 snacks found in an article. I was impressed. Staff helped me find somethings. I had a very good experience. It was busy!
Been here a couple times for Asian food. The aisles are much bigger than the country hills T&T and more selection as it is bigger. They have a dessert bar and a crepe station as well. Nothing negative to say about this grocery store as it is still relatively new.
If you like oriental items and take out food, this is the place. The takeaway is that fruits in particular and majority of items are pricey compared to the Walmart nearby and Costco. I would only shop here to fill up my stocks of fish and tofu and nothin else.
My wife and I were looking for a specialty food item used in Asian cuisine and located it here after trying several other stores. Owned by Loblaw, this is quite a large food store with a wide selection of pan-Asian products, laid out in an appealing style.
Great new store that holds the same varieties of Asian food and services. Bonus points to the BBQ counter for cutting the BBQ meat in smaller, more manageable portions for consumption. Store is clean and the staff is consistently cheerful and helpful.
Great new addition to Asian food shopping in NW. Changed the previously empty Loblaw's City Market into a vibrant, packed shop that has good accessibility. Lots of good products and plenty of fresh produce. Watch out for traffic in the parking lot!
Awesome new location, very clean and organized. Has everything you need from an Asian grocery store. The BBQ pork buns are amazing. The parking lot is pretty badly designed for a store of this size though so I would avoid during peak times.
I bought this platter for a potluck and literally regretted right after the guests started saying things like “it’s way too dry and the rice are super hard”. When I tried it myself, it was a huge disappointment. It was very hard to chew
Impressed by the variety of imported Asian goods, like the snacks and drinks. Of course they've done a great job to stock the staple grocery items like milk, eggs, beef, seafood, etc. to serve the new neighborhoods. Great place to shop!
Most probably the freshest greens you will find out there. Any kinds of fruit and vegetables are displayed and taken care of constantly. There is also a variety of products that are rare if not impossible to find in other places.
As a SF Bay area tourist. I consider this place like Asian whole foods. The other t&ts feel like 99 ranch. Mostly Asian customers in a very suburban neighborhood. It's weird going to the Walmart down the block after this place
This new location of T&T is absolutely amazing! It's clean, organized and has everything we need. Staff is really nice and welcoming as well. It's a smaller than usual T&T but we didn't feel anything was missing.
Nice revamped Loblaws with a lot of space in every aisle. I do wish the developers could make another exit from the parking lot down the hill. Traffic in the first entrance near Tim Hortons is difficult for some.
Glad to have this location near my house. It is new and clean so far and hopefully it stays that way. Not as big as the other locations in my opinion but they had everything I was looking for. Recommended …
This is smaller than the other branches However, there were many groceries that most customers liked, such as most seafood and meat and bakeries. This place is open nearby, so many customers will like it. …
Love this place finally being in this part of town! I like the variety and having everything I need. I now order all my cakes and do all my Asian shopping here. Can’t say enough good things about it. Love!
It's a well organized store with a large variety of mostly asian foods, fresh, frozen and cooked. In compare to other T&T's I've been to this one has more space between the isles and has a better layout.
Huge selection of everything. Definitely is asian oriented, so grest if you are looking to find something for that style of cuisine. More tofu selection and fresh noodles than I have seen anywhere else.
Nicely maintained grocery store with a wide range of products and selections. If you wanna have a meal there, try the bbq pork rice and milk tea with pearls. Their mango cake is another go to!
One of the biggest and newest T&T I've seen (we are from Metro Vancouver). Has everything you need/expected from an Asian supermarket. Our go-to while we were touring around Calgary.
They have cooked food and the quality is good! I bought a sushi platter and the taste is better than some Japanese restaurants. The supermarket is clean and tidy. Love to shop here.
I live in the area and so happy that they open asian store! nothing beats asian store! They have fresh hot foods and all kinds of breads, just wish i could eat them …
I give it a 2 star for the Portuguese Pastries I bought there. They are nowhere near the ones we make And make portuguese dessert look bad. Other than that great market.
Nice store. Well managed with a large variety of items on the shelves. Some departments are lacking produce for my tastes (for instance, the meats are quite limited),
They replace the city market with T&T. This market have Asian dessert bar such as shave, ice cream Bubble tea. Fairly big market. The staff were super friendly.
This is the cleanest and brightest T&T I’ve been. I like that they have a dining area for people like me who can’t wait to eat my take-out Dimsum and hot foods!
I walked in for the hot foods. It wasn't as tasty or well prepared compared to the t&t in Toronto and Kitchener. I would not recommend the hot food.
Great selection of foods. All my favorites like cold HK style milk tea powder, and dried shredded pork, for congee. VERY clean store. …
The largest exotic market in the area. They have large selection of asian goods and foods. There in-store buffet is really nice and cheap.
Great store. Lovely staff that went above and beyond with my toddler. Great variety, clean and good prices. Great hot meal section.
It has a lot of the stuff that an Asian household would need from ingredients, meat cuts, snacks, and even skin care products
Probably the second best one in the city. Huge, has self check outs, and is relatively new. Can’t go wrong with T&T honestly.
Where to shop for Asian foodstuffs, we visit once a week, English, Cantonese and Mandarin speaking available. Recommended!
It is not the biggest branch but the branch is clean and good enough for shopping (buy the food and necessities you need).
Edit: Thanks for taking the time to reply. I have learnt my lesson and will never touch your self check-out machine no
Best T&T in Calgary for selection. They have a hot food station serving street food and a dessert bar which is unique.
Very nice supermarket but the self checkout system isnt great if you have a lot of stuff dont use it
Clean and tidy aisles. No major issues and found everything I needed!
