Honestly, but/rent your books somewhere else!!! Prices here are expensive and for big books like Biology- they’re loose leaf!! And most of the time they don’t even offer other formats. Hate those so much. I bought a hardback of the same edition of my Chemistry book for so much less it was crazy!! Loose leaf was more expensive. And that’s including the mastering code for the homework. If you’re on a budget and/or hate loose leafs like me. Go. To. Amazon. I’ve been treated very differently every time I come in. And I come in quite a bit. Most of the time I’m treated very nicely and am asked multiple times if I need any help. But other times there’s no one there. And it was not a peak time so they weren’t busy. Today after picking up an online order, I was telling them how I needed to return one because I found it EXTREMELY CHEAPER on amazon. Where I picked the book up I was helped quickly but to return it I had to go to customer service. Went up there and she had issues returning it and asked me if i could take to the back where I picked it up. (She was super sweet about it though). Now, the lady that actually returned it seemed stressed out about something else. Anyways I told her what happened and she said okay and asked for the book. Returned it no problem, but she was very abrupt with me. The staff is typically really sweet and hopefully it doesn’t happen again.
They really try to get away with prices like I live in Seattle or California. No ma'am, this is North Texas. I am NOT paying 4 dollars for a snack size bag of Mini Oreos. Even their drinks are more expensive than ones that are sold in the vending machines just down the hallway. What a rip off. Their summer hours are atrocious. I don't know how they can sell books for pickup online, but have incredibly selective hours of operation at the bookstore. So I have to leave work in the middle of my shift, losing money, to pick up a book, which is marked up by 70%? No ma'am. Ain't no way. We use Amazon in this house. In the spring semester I purchased a physical book AND access code online. I didn't know I needed to collect both and went to pick up from the bookstore. I received the access code but not the actual book, I went to class, realized what had happened, and went back after class, they were closed. I came back the next day and told the staff they had only given me the code and I needed the book I had bought as well, they told me I had picked up my order and it wasn't their problem anymore. I went onto Amazon that night and paid an additional $30 for the book, on top of the 140 I had already spent. My bank account was screaming, and so was I. Avoid at all costs. These people will NOT work with you for any reason, even if they are the ones who messed up.
Helpful staff. I got my books and there was no wait. I was in and out in 5 minutes. It took me longer to walk to the bookstore then it did to get the book and check out. I reccomend parking on the north side, so if you enter in from Marine Pkwy turn to the right and go around to the back by the water and walking trails. Park in the first 2 isles if available and follow the walk way all the way around and follow the signs for building WSTU (book store). There is a lot of construction going on and it's blocked off everywhere but if you follow the open walk way paths there are plenty of signs out to get you where you need to be as long as you know what building you need to be in. Prices at the bookstore are of course ridiculous but that is the same with all textbooks you need for school so no surprise there. Covid measures are in place at the bookstore. You are not free to get your own books you must ask a bookstore associate for assistance and they will get you what you need. See map in pics to help you navigate your way through the campus construction.
I have gotten 2 different new priced books here that were actually used. The staff are not really the most knowledgeable, but there is usually someone that works there that can help. The prices are ok and they have refused to price match several books I bought even though I showed them lower prices and they said they do. The catch the match has to be within $25 or so. The brand new book on Amazon direct sales for $125 and they had it for about 350, I got it from Amazon next day air and saved $200.
Accidently bought the wrong calculator for pre cal. Then when I tried to return it and buy the right calculator the lady refused to help me. I understand that it is policy that once things are open then they can't be returned but if the campus math lab said to return it because i will get wrong calculations and the instructor also said to return it then maybe the bookstore shouldn't sell not up to date matierial for students to get incorrect answers on tests.
I had to buy a digital book in their online store. Their website told me the order was completed, yet I had not received an email with the textbook. I had left a contact forum inquiring this situation ... they did not respond after two days. I tried to call them on phone ... they did not respond and I had to leave a message. It's been five days since I ordered the book ... no email yet.
I never understand why a college would mark up their prices so much and take advantage of their students. Amazon rents and sells the same books for 70% less. Chegg also offers lower prices. My BIO 1408 book at the bookstore was over $100 to rent, on Amazon it was $23. EVERYTHING IN THIS STORE IS OVERPRICED!!!
We we're at A Health Fair: ACTB my boss is Legally Blind. So She Jan Gray informed people what types of tools needed for Legally Blind people. Nice Auditorium and Great McAlisters free Lunch. Most items are marked up from regular store prices due to the convenience. So be smart and bring your snacks from home and purchase supplies before coming to school! Staff is usually pretty nice, even if they give you a plastic bag after you said you didn't want one.
Always quick and courteous. If you're looking for a textbook they have a few options to choose from. They have snacks and sandwiches, cold drinks and hot drinks available. The lines while sometimes long move swiftly.
Very friendly, courteous have a great deal of healthy snacks including vegan options. They have always either had what I need in stock or ordered it for me on the few occasions they didn't have what I needed.
Plenty staff/students to help find the books and supplies for class every semester. Cheapest location on campus to purchase snacks. Shows school spirit with tcc promo products.
They sold me a book for a class which they admitted I didn't need. When I attempted to return the book, they told me they wouldn't take it back with the original receipt.
It has the best merchandises I ever seen. They have shirts in sizes, gift cards, electronics backpacks, books, supplies, snacks, beverages, and all kinds other things.
Ridiculous prices on school supplies and the coffee sucks, but its convenient, the clothes are good and the snacks are reasonably priced. Good people as always.
Usually always a line but they are very helpful. Just make sure you look to see if there is somewhere else cheaper to buy your books if they arent TCC specific.
Very convenient and has all the things I would need but it's just a little expensive and I'd rather go somewhere else to buy supplies if I have time
Great place, they even carry aviation based books to support the Alliance airport campus of TCC where they teach aviation mechanics and pilots.
Nice store but pricey. They have really cool TCC stuff. The staff is not friendly at all. Maybe cause I'm not 20 something; I doubt it. Smh
It's a school bookstore. Ridiculously high prices for books you most likely won't even use. The staff are nice and knowledgeable though.
This is a good place to get your books here at TCC NW. The staff is always very helpful here and helps you find what you need.
They changed their VA benefits list here and now I have to pay out of pocket. It's either that or wait months for approvals =(
Prices are waaay overpriced, if you really want quick snacks for a reasonable price, try the library vending machine
Hat and other merchandise were over priced. But it’s reasonable for foods and snacks since it’s inside the college.
The service is pretty fast, they carry alot of different items food/snacks/school supplies and your school books!
Very helpful to students clean well organized and has a little bit of everything to get you through the day
it's was a normal book store. customer service was not very helpful. so know what you looking for
Great place to study and get help with school work. Very quiet and calm. Workers are very nice.
Everyone pretty much helps out, but pencils and other items are expensive, just go to Walmart
It's a typical college bookstore. The staff is knowledgeable. Everything is pretty expensive.
Poorly organized and understaffed, definitely buy your books elsewhere if you have a choice.
This bookstore is always so neat and organized. I love going here for my school essentials.
It's busy with construction right now. So go early to find your way around and not be late.
Incredible selection of anything you could possibly need. Nice, friendly, helpful staff.
My favorite bookstore of all the TCC ones. Easy to find books and the coffee is great.
Store was clean and organized. Customer service is lacking but...what do you expect.
They have a lot of unused space that could be useful for my snack.snd drink options
Super friendly and helpful. My favorite part is they are fast at checkout.
One stop shop for whatever you might need. Staff is friendly and helpful
The place to be for fall semester. Picked up my books and a t-shirt.
A place with a lot of variety! good service!! 100% recommended!!

Has better coffee than the subway, and for a better deal.
Little overpriced but an easy place to get what you need
It's your go to store on campus for books and snacks!!
