If I could give it 0 stars I would. Could not steer you away from this service more!!! In addition to the following complaints they paid Yelp to delete my review from there!!! This is a truly disgusting company. Territory is very unreliable and refuse to take responsibility for their actions. If you use this service expect nothing they say to you to be upheld. They say that it will be delivered between 5 pm and 7 am. This has happened 2 times in the month I have had it. Either it doesn’t show up at all, shows up hours late, or doesn’t show up until after I ask for a refund. Most recently it didn’t show up, I emailed 8 hours after its latest delivery time, and 20 minutes later it shows up. Conveniently the facility that they are transported from is about 20 minutes from my house. When I complain they just say “sorry, we hit a bump in the road”. No you missed me, tried to play it off like you didn’t, and then took no responsibility for it. I could literally have driven to a farm, harvested my own veggies, slaughtered my own meat, made these meals, then drove home in the time between 5pm the night before and when they were delivered. But again, no responsibility was taken by the company. After I pushed back twice they offered me credit to my account for 2 meals knowing that it will never be used because I canceled my account. Super great customer service, NOT. I was basically ignored by the following employees: Kara, Tammy M, and Ryoko. To be transparent once I knew I was being brushed off I stopped playing nice. In the 3 weeks I was getting biweekly deliveries (6 total deliveries) I had 2 show up when they were supposed to, 1 never show up, 1 show up after I emailed to ask for a refund, and the other 2 were late. You tell me if that’s what you want out of a meal planning and delivery service.
I attempted to cancel a recurring subscription on Friday morning and was met with a response on Saturday morning that no changes could be made to my order (delivery promised Sunday evening until Monday morning) as well as a second delivery Wednesday morning until Thursday morning). The company explained to me that "I'm sorry Melanie. No changes can be made to your order if you did not request it before Thursday midnight". Are you kidding me? They did not even offer a partial refund so that I don't have to receive their meals Wednesday. Mind you.....today is Saturday (5 days before Wed). And now I will tell you why I don't want their meals and why I am very unsatisfied. 1) The Territory meals don't taste very good. There are so many good food delivery services in Los Angeles and this food is bland and redundant 2) The food doesn't stay fresh. I literally got stomach cramps eating their chicken gumbo...and the chicken smelled rancid. 3) I had dietary restrictions (no red meat) and when selecting my meals, most were blocked out because of it and on my first shipment I had no choices other than salmon and broccoli and a chicken dish...so I received 3 or each (for a total of 6 meals)....essentially meaning that for such lack of offered variety, I could have meal prepped at home. 4) Customer service is awful Do I recommend Territory Foods? Absolutely not. Their food and and customer service are on par with each other. Dismal at best.
The food was honestly great but it seems like the company is a mess. I started the Whole30 diet and was relying on Territory for my food delivery. Just about to start week 3, and the food delivery was cancelled for no apparent reason, and I was notified at a time that was too late for me to correct it and after contacting support there was nothing that I could do. I got an email at 1:25AM telling me the payment hadn't been processed and that the meals were cancelled. I was not given any other notice, and just yesterday, less than 12 hours prior to receiving this email, I customized my order on the web site and confirmed it. The card was never un-linked from my profile, and there is no issue with the card. I called American Express and they told me no charge was attempted. I started a customer service chat and they basically told me that I was SOL. It doesn't matter how good the food is, when you are charging $14 per meal for a heat-able eat, you better have the infrastructure in place to be reliable otherwise the other aspects of the operation and completely useless. Gave 1 star for posting purposes.. would give 0 if I could!!!! I got my meals, only to find out that they expire 3 days after delivery. Why on earth would a meal prep company deliver multiple meals (I ordered 6) that are only good for 3 days? I emailed the company, and their lame response was, "our meals are fresh never frozen. If you can't consume your meals within 3 days, then you can freeze them". That did not resolve my issue. The response seemed so unprofessional. AND, if I wanted to eat frozen meals I would buy Lean Cuisine!!! The meals arrived completely shaken up. The sauces that came with the meals were covered in food. Two of the meal lids were cracked, so I had to throw those meals away. Not worth it at all!!! The taste of the food is mediocre at best. I ordered all vegan meals. Most of the meals are veggies served with a whole grain and a sauce to cover it. At this point no compensation or apology has been offered to me. I am so disappointed in these meals. Cancelled my plan within 30 minutes of arrival. DO NOT BUY!!!
so... I've been ordering from Territory for what seems like forever. In this particular instance I received two of my meals in inside of a perfect box. The containers inside of the box were broken. What that says to me is that someone saw broken containers and chose to put them in the box anyway. (great quality assurance) Then when I received them because I rely on Territory for my dinner I couldn't eat because if I did (If i was a moron I would) I would consume shards of plastic. When I went to their customer service and complained the rep gave me $15 credit and $5.00 bonus. Listen I've spent way too many years in the service/ retail industry to know that this is not a reasonable compensation. Territory, you literally gave me shards of plastic to eat and left me without dinner for 2 days. this is 100% unexceptable.
Good food and easy to prepare. I never used a place like this before. Many times I've been to the store buying frozen food but nothing came out good. This stuff is ready for the oven. Got the salad with chicken tonight which was like right out of a fancier restaurant. The taste is on par with anything you'd get while going out. I only wish is that I waited to eat it so I can take a picture lol....great stuff. I might be a little cheap to have this all the time, but for the person that can afford to eat well and doesn't want to do the preparing themselves I see this as being perfect. Picked mine up at the local gym, everything was as they said it should be. Thanks again look forward to the other meals.
Just got a notification my food had arrived opened my front door there was no food... would not have been that big of a deal if I could have got in contact with someone no one picks up any of their listed phone numbers and nobody answered the Chatbox on the website very frustrating experience .... time to go figure out what I am doing for food until this is sorted out. ….. update they sent me a picture of my food in-front of a different address. I got a refund plus 20$ I just wish someone picked up my calls sooner or connected me with the driver so I could have had corrected this at the time of delivery.
My wife and I have been on a Whole30 meal plan through Territory for the last two weeks and we love it! It’s great for me because I’m always on the road for work, and now I don’t have to worry about meal prep or finding a healthy restaurant. I just pack my two Territory meals for the day, and I’m on my way! The food is fresh and delicious. The portions are on the smaller side (for me, at least), but that’s a good thing because I’m trying to lose 80 pounds. So far I’ve lost 15! I don’t think I could’ve done it without Territory. Highly recommended!
I have been eating Territory for over 2 years. The food is really good and while some options get tiring over and over again- there are always others to choose if I take the time to go into the options and select new ones instead of relying on the auto-select feature. Over the years there have been occasional issues with late deliveries but overall they have dealt with them acceptably. Also- web access and usability has also improved a great deal making changes, cancellations, and pauses in order more simple
Great variety that constantly rotates so I can always get a selection of meals we love. Most meals we've had are absolutely delicious and healthy. Easy to customize meals. The only thing I don't love is the amount of cardboard/packaging that I'm generating by using this service, but that happens with all of them. Territory is doing their best to make it recyclable and sustainable while still keeping food fresh so I can't fault them. Have tried many meal services and this is by far our favorite.
Honestly I've had the most amazing experience with these guys. Not only is the food delicious but their customer service is great as well. I reordered one of the meals (too good not to) when I noticed that the sides looked measly compared to the last time. I sent off a picture and received a response within a few hours. They helped to figure out the issue & were nice enough to give me a discount for the inconvenience. I'll keep using them for as long as possible.
Let me start off by stating, I NEVER write reviews. However after my experience with Territory Foods, I felt compelled to write this review. Too often they deliver the food not at the times promised. As such I find myself putting food away in the late hours. To make matters worse we have been finding ants from either the package or IN THE FOOD. Their customer service is abysmal. For this price I would highly recommend that you stay away from this company.
This is 3rd time our food has been mis-delivered or stolen. No sense of any customer service or aid on the phone. No rectification for 1,000$ of missing food. Tried calling and leaving a voice-mail but bo-one ever returns the call. This company has bad buisiness practices and the food isn't even anything to write home about. I'm going to be telling everyone not to order from here. WHAT A JOKE.
Bad food. 1 meal was French fries. Just fries. I bet you think they were crispy and well seasoned. Nope. Gray, floppy, soggy, almost transparent. I heated them up but like some strange alien substance they didn't crisp up. The good news is that they were in my veggie burger. Yuck. Burger did not in any way maintain its shape. Terrible food.
My salad was painful to eat. My teeth still hurt from eating it a couple of hours ago. Also if you live in an apartment with a locked gate don’t bother ordering. Their delivery hours are so weird that your food will be left outside of your building. Support does do a good job of responding though. Some of the other meals were fine.
These guys did not deliver my food, would not respond to my emails and give me an update on what was happening, and would not transfer me to someone who could help. AVOID! Terrible terrible customer service. Just read some of the other reviews! These guys are not to be trusted.
A fantastic program for people who want colorful, interesting and delicious meals, and who want to know the nutritional value. The service is offered in several national cities for people who travel. Boxes of farm-fresh produce are also available. We love the meals!
Food is really good and the service is great. They text when food is close to being delivered and then again when delivered. The website is easy to use and easy to pause my order when I have a week or two when the food is not needed. Great variety as well
I have tried several meal order services and this one is by far the best I have tried. The food is delicious and far better than any of the other ready made foods, and I have had no issues with orders or billing. Excited to keep up with it
Great food. Bad UX. I keep getting stuck on auto-shipments. Unless you unclick a small button you will get 7-10 meals twice a week. Hard to navigate the site. Make sure you unclick auto-ship. Otherwise good food. Good price.
I had a great experience with Territory Foods while I was staying for 3 weeks in LA County. Every meal was fresh, healthy, and tasted great. Portions were a good size. I highly recommend this service!
While the food is delicious, the customer service and company organization is trash. Some of the food pickup centers are even closed in the middle of the day when listed as open.
The food was alright; for a frozen food option - I'd say it was pretty good. They have tons of options, which is fantastic. Customer service was incredible and very helpful.
