The owners, manager and staff are all very friendly and polite...they have done an amazing job fixing up the place and bringing back the regular customers and gaining a whole lot of new customers...the ice cream idea was brilliant and very yummy...They have so much more items in the store and they make it very inviting to wanna come back again and again and again....i enjoy going over to the store to be welcomed with a bright smile and great conversation...they always have what I am looking for and much much more and really dont need to go anywhere else for my last minute items or to grab something i may need for supper or that i forgot while grocery shopping..and they always have easy listening music playing aswell....congrats to the new and improved "BLUE STORE" I would recommmend going to this store and you will be welcomed with a "smile"

This store is one of the older buildings in Inglwood. It has always been a neighbourhood store and provided groceries and video rentals for many years. This last year it changed hands and is still a neighbourhood store for local community members. But, they have added a walk up window from which you can purchase an ice cream cone and have painted the side of the building in black and provide multicoured chalk the with which to leave a message to friend a, your outlook on life or solutions to various world problems. They have a pop up patio on the side street With picnic tables. It has been a great component for the community and now it is even better. So happy to see this happen. Check it out when you next visit Inglwood.

This is local place that used to go to relatively frequently. However, I was in there today and noticed that the cashier was not wearing a mask. When I mentioned that the store could get shut down because of her decision and she replied that they get a small fine ($50) and just carry on with no mask. Then she indicated that we "trust each other in this neighbourhood." What an absolutely asinine comment. They have lost my trust and my business as they clearly do not care about the welfare of their "neighbours." Mask wearing is apparently so difficult and painful that some people feel the need to fight it. I will take my business elsewhere from now on.

Have gone to Blue store to order from Yakuza Sushi multiple times throughout the last year. Recently they have been closed without any reasoning. Called in today at 4:00pm and whoever answered the phone was EXTREMELY rude. When asked for if the closure for Yakuza Sushi was permanent or temporary the lady who answered the phone responded back with "Was COVID supposed to last 2 weeks or 2 years.". The question at hand was trying to know when one of the services in the store would be open again/ if they would be open again. Unnecessary to make a comment such as the one that they did.

I’ve always loved the Blue Store. Now i have to come clean and say that I’ve worked there before, but I was a customer first before that and still am. The staff here are great, and that stems from having great owners like Chris and Jennifer. They have everything for everyone, namely a great selection of food items (fruits, vegetables, and your usual home needs. But it’s the bodega feel— the vibe that’s so different from your big box convenience chains. And that they serve ice cream from the window is the proverbial cherry on top! Keep on keeping on, Blue Store!

We're so glad we found this gem! Fun selection of goodies and delicious fried chicken and sushi at the back. I'm from Vancouver and found it very difficult to find reasonably priced sushi with good portions in Calgary. Ordered the Vancouver roll and was pleasantly surprised, generous portions of fish and great size (compared to other places I've been to). The fried chicken was delicious as well, we ordered the half-and-half fried drumsticks. It was a 20 minute wait, but we passed the time quickly browsing nearby shops. Will definitely come back here again.

This is one of the few stores in inglewood open until 9pm, and they seem to have EVERYTHING you could possibly need, and then some! Seriously great selection, including basic produce, bread, tons of sauces, spices, condiments, canned goods, snacks, drinks, candy, ice cream, toiletries. All at reasonable prices too! Also lots of ingredients commonly used in ethnic cooking, which is fantastic - they’ve saved so many of my last minute recipe attempts. The employees are super polite and helpful, and shopping here is always a great experience.

This place is amazing! Great little market with an excellent selection of Asian foods, fresh produce and grocery and deli items. This may be the best corner store I’ve ever seen to be honest. They also serve in house made korean fried chicken and sushi that is to die for. I’ve lived in Inglewood for years and the facelift this place has gotten is amazing. I will be coming here more regularly for grocery items and yummy Asian food. Well done Blue Store! Five stars.

Heard there was new owners so thought I'd take a look inside. I'm normally not one for picking up sushi from a grocery store but I'm glad I did! Picked up this roll which had nicely sized salmon and avocado. Salmon was fresh and good price ($6.99). The sushi is provided by Yakuza Sushi which seems to operate out of the store. The fried chicken is yummy too! Glad to have these new additions to the neighborhood.

The seller was rude. When we placed the order, he asked again with a dismissive tone. When we said that the ice cream should be in a cup and not in a cone, he continued with rolling eyes and after 30 seconds asked again with the same dismissive tone: “so it should be in a cone?” The ice cream was good, but the seller behaved disgustingly. Although it’s close to home, we won’t be back.

I love this place! So much variety, so many awesome imports and fun foods at really reasonable prices. They even stock everyday household items. I have no idea how they manage to squeeze everything in there and make it work but it does! Would love to partake in the sidewalk ice cream bar but I haven't seen any dairy-free options. Regardless, highly recommend.

They have some of the coolest and rarest stuff like Oreo and Chips Ahoy popcorn, Korean goodies, noodles and Asian condiments that are hard to find in commercial groceries. They also have wide selection of dairies, fruits n veggies, Korean Fried Chicken and other Korean snacks, Frattelo’s coffee, household items and smoking vapes, cartridges and bongs.

New owner and staff are awesome. Much needed in inglewood. Excellent selection for snacks and for whatever ingredients you may have forgotten and you’re in a pinch to make a recipe. They got sushi and korean chicken for takeouts or delivery. Icecream in the summertime. Honestly it brings such a good energy to the corner on 8th ave and 13th st.

The lady at the counter was nice but that's about it. I paid for a chicken order and was told to wait 15 minutes. I ended up waiting 26 minutes before staff realized that my order was not even made. I got a refund but I ended up being late for work because of this. I had high hopes based on previous reviews but unfortunately I was let down.

The fresh food they make in house is no joke! It’s amazing! The sushi is on point The Korean fried chicken is a competitor with any other fried chicken The coffee is likely as good or better than any neighbouring barista can make for you. I’ve had it all and I will continue to. Plus everyone that works here, is so friendly!

Well. This store has come a long ways, But for the number of times I have been there at 1030 and they are closed,,, Ah! The old store was always open till 11pm and now they are closed far to early on a Friday night for example. Anyways I am hoping for longer hours one day soon. But love the ice cream!.

Awesome little locally owned corner store. Good customer service and the little restaurant stand inside is tasty. I only give 4/5 stars because they don't have prices attached to most of the items. If they could make the price of ALL items noticable, then I will change my review to 5 stars

Amazing corner store, super friendly staff, great selection of all kinds of grocery items. Best part if you’re hungry…walk to the back of the store and order THE Best Korean fried chicken I’ve ever had and yummy sushi! This will be my new go-to after work to pick up dinner!!!

I stopped going to this place because they use to cheat on the prices. Now I m only going if it is absolutely necessary but they keep on cheating and now also they are very rude. Super expensive low quality products. Better to avoid if it is not absolutely necessary.

I had to update my review....since a new owner the place is so inviting and clean....I spoke to an employee and next time the manager of the store....gave them a couple suggestions which I believe they were very willing to think about....please stop in....

I had read about the updates to The Blue Store and heard about their delicious Korean fried chicken. We had the opportunity to try it the other day and were very impressed. It was light tasting, crispy and delicious. The spicy chilli strips are sooo good.

Hi, I love your store, you've done a great job. However, I have an issue with your staff not wearing masks. This is the third time this has happened this week. The Calgary mask bylaw is in effect until Monday June 5th, then it will be reviewed.

Probably the best corner store in all of Calgary. Incredible selection with many exotic treats and hard to find items like tasty Korean fried chicken and a great ice cream counter. A must stop destination on any trip to Inglewood.

Concerned about how they served coffee/drinks here for months and then suddenly "all water services are closed".... What was the reason? Is the food even safe here? So many sketchy people work here. 0/10 from me.

Great little place!! Looks amazing what they've done with it. And a cool hidden gem for ice cream too, all outside and never had to wait in a line. Would recommend checking this out on a hot day.

Check out the Blue Store for their in house Korean Fried Chicken and sushi! The best of both worlds. The customer service is fantastic and food is great.
