I hate giving low reviews but this experience deserved it sadly. We went for Mother’s Day dinner, 8 people… including two children. Reservation for 7pm. Took us 2.5 hours to complete. Not by choice. We have been here hundreds of times and have always loved it… known to be a bit on the slow side service-wise, but last night was insane. Food came out all at different times… spreading from 7:45-8:45… an hour gap between the first person and the last. The last person basically ate alone. Pasta was changed on one order bc they “ran out” of a style… but wasn’t told until the meal came out… a heads up would’ve been nice. Food was mediocre at best last night. Service was meh. Asked for the bill so we could have the last person eat quick and pay to get the kiddos home and server completely forgot and didn’t come back for yet another half hour. No refills on water. Or asked if we wanted another glass of wine…. One drink pp… 2.5 hours. Management needs to figure that out. We visit often and won’t for awhile now… so many other local restaurants to drop $400 at, where the experience is so much better.

Unfortunate experience for our wedding anniversary dinner tonight. The server was kind; however not very attentive. Didn’t ask if we wanted re-fills on our beverages (we ordered beer and wine, but would’ve loved a glass of water as well). My meal came with a long piece of dark hair in it. Thankfully I noticed right away. The server was very apologetic and we were totally fine about it (things happen), but what was a bit off putting was that the only compensation for that was free coffee or espresso after our meal (both of us do not drink coffee past 12pm). We weren’t looking for a free meal whatsoever, but considering it came with a hair in it and then my husband had to sit with his meal while he waited for mine to be re-made…it just left a bad taste in our mouths regarding customer service. We aren’t the type to make a big deal, so we didn’t say anything but needless to say I guess we are the type to write a review and likely won’t go back to this restaurant.

I have been here 2 times in 4 years and both times I have been confused by why so many people think it is great (hence the 4 yrs in between visits). Last night I had the seafood spaghetti with the white wine sauce (they have a different name for it). It came with about 6 mussels, 4 calamari rings and 1 shrimp...1 for $30. There was lots of pasta and sauce but the sauce sadly had no flavour and the pasta was just ok (I thought they made it fresh in house, but I don't think so). Last time I went 4 years ago with my daughter we were both very disappointed with the pasta and likened it to something you'd get heated in the microwave from Boston Pizza (another place I don't understand the hype about). The server was good, although he left us sitting without offering to get the bill for about 20 mins until I got up and found him. I never recommend it, but the parking lot is always busy so maybe its just me.

Not only was I blowing away by the service, and quality of the food, but so was my team. We left full, but wanting MORE! Leftover bags are needed when visiting your restaurant. Just moved to Stoney creek and not familiar with what's in the area. So I googled Italian restaurant and this place popped up. I read some reviews and decided I had to experience it for myself. My husband wanted seafood pasta and I wanted pizza. I have to say, hands down for the most authentic and delicious Italian meal we enjoyed. Our server was very pleasant and smiles. We enjoyed some wine, the grilled vegetable salad, seafood pasta with homemade fettuccine which reminded us what my mom use to make and the arugula pizza, amazing. Good value too, reasonably priced. We will definitely return and make this our go to Italian restaurant now that we moved here. Great job to the staff!

Every December I'm in the area for Krown rustproofing and come here for lunch. For over ten years now. Great value for what you get, nice home cooked food at decent prices. Harder and harder to find inexpensive yet tasty food and drink at a sit down resto these last few years. Recommend.

We live in BC but we are originally from Ontario. My wife and I drove past this place the other day and since our friends from out of town were coming over we thought we would give it a try. So very happy we did. Food was great, service was outstanding (thanks Roy and to that young lady always making sure our water was full). sure the place does not resemble a formal dining experience, but I don’t go to eat for the place but rather the food and the people. What a fantastic menu. I am a person who just loves Italian food. But these people take it to a very high level. I can only rate this 5 stars because it does not allow me to give it 10. Thanks again

My family stopped here on a whim, one of my daughters has swimming lessons near by and we all had a hankering for some Italian. Once we pulled up and saw this was in an industrial part, we figured it would be hit or miss (spoiler alert, it was a hit). Hostess was nice, and our waiter was great. He brought crayons and papers for my daughters to draw on, suggested the ceasar drink which was delicious (though a hint too spicy for me). My wife had a pizza and loved it. The taste was good….. but did your pasta machine break or is this on purpose lol?? I was genuinely confused why any italian restaurant would serve pasta like this. It was definitely handmade but sooo thick, as if your kid was making pasta for fun for the first time. Definitely need to flatten these out with a pasta roller so it’s not so thick and doughy. I only had a few bites. It’s a shame because the sauce was good. The cheesecake and free bread was pretty good though.

The food and The Express Stoney Creek is always phenomenal! Sunny and his crew do a fantastic job and I have never left feeling hungry or any less than 100% completely satisfied. Love your food. And I’d give you a five, if it weren’t for your portion sizes. Everytime I add a chicken breast to my entree, it’s not a full chicken breast! And your meatballs get smaller with each order! You’re going to have to change the description to porpettini! We recently booked The Express for a Celebration of Life luncheon for my Mother. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience. The owner, Sunny, was tremendous to deal-with. We received many compliments from our guests on both the quality of the food and the excellent service. Just had my bridal shower here last weekend and honestly it was so beautiful! The staff were amazing & so attentive, the food was nothing short of delicious! Had to book a family gathering checked out of a few places, but nothing really caught my eye . Then I met with Sunny from the Express. Great guy to deal with very pleasant and offers a great selection of food. The food that they served at the family gathering was excellent. The server Manuel was great. I would highly recommend express for other people having a family gathering. They also have a great lunch menu and their pizza is great.Thanks again.

I really like a lot of things on the menu. They have lots of good options, if you have a chance to go for lunch and try a panini they are very tasty. Service however is not the greatest. Every time I have gone there was one girl who always takes great care of us but good luck if you don't get her. Probably better to take out from here than Dine in

Food and service is great, but atmosphere and surroundings inside the Stoney Creek restaurant are not as nice. Definitely check out the Burlington and Westdale locations if you care more about décor/dining experience, but note that the food is good at all locations! They are doing renovations at the Stoney Creek location so it will probably change things up in the future!

delicious pizza, the crust is nice and thin. service was great, even though we kept adding on to our order! the hawaiian pizza with prosciutto is a must-try (even us italians approve). the tiramisu is also very good, but maybe consider expanding the dessert offerings or adding gelato haha

Amazing thin crust pizza!! We have eaten in many times, and recommend making a reservation...but as you can see we also order take-out often! (It’s usually ready in only 10-15 mins). Our go to is La Diavola - it’s got the perfect amount of spice!! Very tasty, with fresh ingredients and not too heavy.

Our dinners were all fabulous there were 5 of us and we all had different things and everything thing was delicious the dinning room was very nice, the staff were very friendly and attentive. Was a very nice night out

The Spaghetti aglio e olio with peperoncino is really delish! Service is very friendly and prompt. I would give it a 5-star rating if the atmosphere were cosier, but I do appreciate a restaurant where you can actually have a conversation without shouting or straining to hear.

My step dad has been going here since it opened and just brought me for my first time. The food is consistently delicious, well-made and very authentic. Everything is excellent but he personally recommends the pizza and pasta. I'm happy to have found a new regular spot! More
