Wow! I'm not sure how I've never visited this place! Everything about it was so much fun. The colorful building is the cutest. BUT THE BARTENDER (Ronal) was by far my fav experience. His drinks (all of them) was amazing, I had the Lavender Lemon Drop & Green Tea Shot (I didn't get a pic - it was so good I forgot to snap one)! He is so creative, knowledgeable, a true mixologist and very friendly too. He alone would be the reason my husband and become forever customers here. Now, let's talk about their pizza ... I can't lie, I was a little hesitant to order food only because majority of the time (that I've experienced), when the drinks are as good as they were, the food is not so good, well, this place tossed that thought all the way out of the window! Our pizza was so good! Really really good! It was fresh and flavorful! I would highly recommend! And to top off all of that greatness they have, it was nice to see that they are still following all of the Covid-19 safety guidelines! I can't wait to go back! THIS PLACE IS A VIBE!

Love this place. It's free to get in on WEDNESDAY'S, so that's the day my friends and I go and we always have a good time. If you go on Wednesday bring as many people as possible, so the DJ can do an after party and then it will really get grooving. The drinks here are great also. Friends brought me a shot that tasted delicious, along with their jamaican tea. Here is a hint it's not really tea. ;) I only rated a 4 put of 5, because it is a smaller establishment and even though it has a nice out-doors area it can still get packed quickly, though everytime I visited there I always had enough room to move around.

Great spot!Great Drinks! Good Happy Hour!I come here very often, it is definitely a hidden gem in Midtown! The parking is a little challenging due to the location. The vibe is very laid back! The happy hour DJ AD(I believe) plays jams(like music you like to hear for happy hour) for their Happy Hour. The Happy hour drink prices are pretty fair, and to top it off their pizza is amazing!! I always order their pizza when I come. This place does have a back patio which is perfectly lit. This is a place I would definitely bring my date to.

Reggae Wednesday night is the only reason I went and I just say I wasn't disappointed. Lots of good old School reggae up until about midnight. Got crowded after that and had the newer rowdy type of reggae. Nice mixed crowd, dress is casual to club style. Three bartenders were mixing good strong drinks.

We’ve been a couple of times and each time the vibe is a little different. We went on the Caribbean night and it was a lot of fun. Very crowded and you may have to wait to be served. Last time was on a Saturday night and it’s all house music. Lots of dancing and also crowded but definitely a different vibe. Not bad. We will be going again for sure.

Went here for the first time last night. Great service, reasonably priced drinks & foods. Plus, there is plenty of space to sit & chill. The only thing that sucked was the music. I guess Saturday night is house. I would've killed for a little bit of rock/alt, techno mix, or even some top 40. Honestly, I would really recommend this place. Especially their patio area. Just wish they'd change up the music on Saturday nights

First time in HT and this spot was recommended. The initial greeting from the security guard was welcoming to the young lady who was working the bar last night. The DJ was on fire and we truly enjoyed the atmosphere. I would recommend this place.

Pretty cool place. But I will never return due to the horrible customer service. I never experienced a place where they charge you $10 for a straw unless you purchase a frozen drink. Regardless of what kind of drink you order, you should be able to get a straw for you drink. At the same time, you are willing to give a refund on a $30 drink versus fixing the issue just by issuing a straw that cost less than 10 cents to make. Talk about decision making.

One of my go to spots when I'm in Houston. The music is always on point, the vibe is a whole mood, and it's a great place to meet with friends and chill. I admit I tend to visit when my favorite DJs are spinning, but I have yet to be disappointed no matter who's on the turntables. I suggest coming with your dancing shoes on because you're gonna move. And when you need to cool off, grab and drink and something to eat.

The flat is nice for a young crowd just wanting to chill on a Friday or Saturday from a long college school week of exams and thesis. Not really for the millennials or the older generation unless you are going through a severe age crisis. Not a huge variety of music and the drinks were poorly made in my opinion. Again, the younger generation could appreciate this scenery. Definitely casual for a subtle hangout

Love this place for offering something different. This place opens early, and the lunchtime DJ makes it fun with lots of funky 70s and 80s music. If you go on a Thursday or Friday, try the quesadillas; they're amazing.

A Htown fav. This place is one of the most chill bars you can find inside the loop! It has a very grown vibe without being stuffy. I would describe it like a super hip ultra lounge! Great place to drink and hang out. The dark interior plus the red lights give it a very sexy vibe as well! You can’t go wrong with a stop in here for drinks on a night out! Definitely a “go to” for us!

The best happy hour anywhere. If you’re looking for good food and alcohol at an affordable price, this is the place! We take all our out of town guests here, and they're always surprised by the price and quality. Happy Hour 4-7, cant recommend enough!!!

Not spot for a quick drink and a pretty good dj. Pizza is good, and good vibe for the building. Came here during Covid so didn’t have the best experience with many people. Enjoyed the atmosphere but the crowd was different. Wide variety of older and younger crowd. Definitely diverse and low key spot for a small night out with a date or a small group of friends.

Pretty small indoors but they do have a outdoor patio. Drinks were decently priced. Frozen mojito was delicious. Inside is pretty cool as well. Parking is a hassle though as they don't have a parking lot, you have to find street parking and that's always a hassle. Overall a cool place

Reggae Wednesdays always have a great vibe. Good drink specials. 4 or 5 beers on tap, decent liquor selection. Bartenders are friendly. Parking sucks. BEWARE PARKING VEHICLE ANYWHERE in area. If you can't get a spot directly in front. Don't bother staying. Car windows get smashed and broken into. Uber is the only way to go.

Neighborhood lounge/bar with a chill vibe. Good music and drinks. There's limited seating inside, but additional seating outdoors on the patio with tables. Only 2 restrooms for both men and women, which results in a long line for women depending on the crowd. No parking lot, so you have to find parking along the street.

Simple yet modern. Seems like the place where the actual cool people go to hangout on week nights. Dj's are insane! Mixes were soo good... mixes like that are far and few between these days. Bartender know how to make a drink! Big Patio area available for a small little dive. Food truck outside. Checks all the boxes!!

Very chill spot to grab a quick drink or even have a few with a group of friends. You must love old funk, house music, and oldies though! Okay, you don't have to LOVE but at least like to dance :D they have great tunes along with a great atmosphere. Enjoy the dim indoors or check out the spacious patio in the back.

The music was great the atmosphere.. Grown folks having a great time good vibes.. The only bad thing. Parking sucks it's in a residential neighborhood so who knows who house your parked in front of. My friends car window was broken car was vadilize and things stolen. So I give the club 4 stars parking 0 stars.

Awesome live music, the drinks were priced around $5-10. We came to the Flat on Christmas an ld had a blast. There is a dance floor with live music And DJ inside and an elegant place outside for food and drinks. If you are in the neighborhood, I would definitely recommend you to visit this location.

Very low key, old school vibe. Staff/bartenders are excellent AND the food is good. Not a place for thrill seekers...just have a good time listening to good music, eating good food, dance if you want to, and enjoy spending time with yourself or whoever you brought with you.

Such a great local neighborhood bar. The drinks are usually good, friendly staff and patrons but I usually come here for the music which isn’t the typical top 40 (that love) lots of dance, house, underground hip hop music! I come for the chill vibes, but stay for the djs

The frozen mojitos and the punches are awesome. The live music is the best. The jazz groups they have come in are unbelievably good. And the pizza is pretty good as well. The happy hour has great hours and great prices. The vibe and ambience is second to none.

I've loved The Flat for over 15 years. The vibe is so consistent and lovely. The crowd is always chill, the music is always on point, the drinks are great, you can dance if you want, people watch, hang on the patio and chat with friends, whatever you feel!

We were looking for a laid back place to hang out before we headed back to our state the following morning. The bartender was great and gave us recommendations. The prices were fine but the environment? So simple but so relaxing. We enjoyed our date night.

We came on a Thursday and really enjoyed the music and atmosphere which picked up massively from 10pm when the dj came on. Happy hour/late night deals were so good, would recommend to anyone looking for a tech/house night out! friendly and safe area too.

Wednesdays are for reggae night why I’m hearing so much Spanish music I use to come here all the time and hear my Jamaican music and some Afro but now the Dj just play whatever he feels like. Stick to the theme reggae night is for reggae music!!!

Small but AMAZING!! The bartender asked me what I’d like and all I said was “I like fruit drinks so surprise me”. I was not disappointed!! I ordered the same drink all night!! The pizzas as immaculate as well. I highly recommend this place!

This was a great intimate spot to meet for a quick bite and an incredie old fashioned. They even have a vanilla old fashioned which is to die for! Happy hour is where it's at! $2 off cocktails and 1/2 off their pizzas!

My husband and I really enjoy this place. My favorite days are Wednesday (Ragae n more) and Saturday (House music). Tuesday is pretty cool too, they have live music. While there you must try the pizza it is fabulous.

Cute little place that is convenient to Montrose. They play reggae music that I have not heard in ages. The parking is terrible though.

Excellent bar tender on Sunday's with the best happy hour deals. You can go wrong with "The Goat" pizza and a frose (frozen rose).
