"Great little place in Vanier : and they've got a great menu, good selection of many kinds of poutine, and at good prices"
"Hands down, the poutine at this spot is unparalleled in town! The fries are golden and crisp, the cheese curds are delightfully gooey, and the gravy is a savory masterpiece"
"Great poutine , great value"
"I don’t know what has been up with the cooks lately, but everytime I ask for crispy fries, they do the complete opposite"
"Great popular place at 200 Deschamps, corner of Deschamps and Hannah one block north of Montreal Rd, the first, the original location of this famous Poutinerie"
Great little place in Vanier : and they've got a great menu, good selection of many kinds of poutine, and at good prices. Got a "traditional" poutine , was yummy : fresh cheese curds, crispy good french fries, good sauce , only thing was maybe a bit too much sauce. Little park right beside too, so you can eat there outside.
Hands down, the poutine at this spot is unparalleled in town! The fries are golden and crisp, the cheese curds are delightfully gooey, and the gravy is a savory masterpiece. Every bite is a symphony of flavors that makes it undeniably the best poutine in town. A culinary gem that poutine lovers shouldn't miss! More
Great poutine , great value. There are different sizes fitting every craving excellent gravy. Some people complain about size and price but i have to say do you want 5 lbs of fries and a thin dollar store gravy or do you want a huge portion of awesome poutine. I think its obvious this place is great
I don’t know what has been up with the cooks lately, but everytime I ask for crispy fries, they do the complete opposite. I just received an order through Uber and the fries was still raw. It’s like they purposely left it raw out of spite. I’m never ordering from you again, you SUCK, seriously! More
Great popular place at 200 Deschamps, corner of Deschamps and Hannah one block north of Montreal Rd, the first, the original location of this famous Poutinerie. Owners and staff are the pros! Beware this location is Closed on Mondays. Well recommended! More
First time visiting Great Canadian Poutine and I was very happy that I did. I had the Buffalo chicken poutine. Lots of fries cheese and gravy, then topped with good portion of chicken and lots of buffalo sauce. Will definately be coming back for more More
Then drove to the Great Canadian Poutinierie. Interesting because this is just a snack shack with no tables. Went in and took a peek at the menu, there was so many solid options, didn't know what to choose. Asked the employee what the most
I have searched for poutines far and wide and my goodness is this one is special. I just tried the classic and everything was perfect - fries are crispy, curds are squeaky and plentiful, and the gravy is thick. If I had to knock something,
My daughter and I had a not so great experience today and I was immediately contacted from the manager or owner for a refund. I’m so impressed when businesses reply to my reviews good or bad. It really means they care about their customers!
I ordered the Canadian poutine. It looked delicious on the menu, but I tried it, it was way too sweet. I ordered the great size, but I could only eat a third of it due to it being overly sweet. The toppings are only on the top layer, there
We were visiting from US and wanted to try some Canadian food. Glad we found this hidden gem randomly! They offer a variety of flavored poutines and all tasted great. I especially like the spicy 5 alarms and the new fried chicken one. More
Good food and reasonable prices. The poutine with smoked meat was packed with meat and cheese. Fries were not bad but not like the ones you'd find on the Quebec side. Not sure if it is the oil used but did not taste as good in my opinion.
I want to begin by acknowledging how friendly all the staff were. Really welcoming and respectful from beginning to the end. The selection of poutines is outstanding and they offer a great variety. I only tried out the classic poutine to
The great Canadian Poutinery is without exageration, the best poutine experience I've ever had. I make a point of going in whenever I'm in Ottawa, even if it means an extra hour on the 417. The menu is incredible and the staff are super
Wow! This place really lives up to the hype. I got the sweet Montreal and it was so unique, delicious, and the perfect ratio of topping, gravy, cheese curds, and fries. The sweet sauce is great for cutting the saltiness of the gravy. My
Saw a post from a friend and thought we would try it. What an awesome selection of poutines! Food tasted excellent. We tried the sweet sriracha and sauce boss poutine (size great) today and couldn't finish it. No place to sit inside but
Good All-Canadian poutine. I ordered the Butter Chicken poutine based on a review below and really enjoyed it. I would've liked a little more spice, but that's my personal preference. Fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the
Hands down to the best poutine I ever had! My fav is classic poutine topped with grilled cheese bite, yes you read it right! Their onion rings are a not worth missing. Vegetarian options available too. Great service
Absolutely amazing! Plenty of choices for poutine and you can even create your own. The sheer quantity of toppings/gravy/cheese is amazing! Right down to the last bite, the fries were never flying solo …
I went back to this place after moving away from the area 11 years ago. I ordered a small classic poutine. It was so good and still the way I remembered it. Wish we had poutine like this in Toronto.
Absolutely amazing!!! The Canadian poutine was delicious. Packed with mushrooms, caramelized onions, St. Albert's cheese curds, gravy and to top it of maple syrup. the taste was out of this world.
I googled "poutine" and this popped up....and I'm super glad I went. There was plenty of space for parking, but inside was super small. Definitely not a "sit-down" place.
Small space, decent service, food tastes good, prices are wee bit expensive. I asked the cashier for recommendations because I hadn't been before. He was
The only reason they don't get a five star is because the ideal poutine can only be purchased in a freezing cold hockey rink in the backwoods of Quebec.
This place definitely has a cool vibe to it, but the poutine to me is kinda sub par. The fries aren't very salty and the gravy was pretty tasteless.
It’s a really nice place. The food is great and the service was friendly. I’d recommend this to anyone that loves good fries and/or poutine!! More
This is the classic great size poutine with extra cheese. It's a really good size I couldn't finish it myself, my son had to help me...
The staff are always so cool and the food is amazing, I love the variety of options (even if I only ever eat the same thing) More
Very good poutine, with very nice staff. Take out only, but there are picnic tables outside for when the weather is nice.
