"Friendly and helpful staff"
I enjoyed my stay at The Resident - Victoria. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. My room was frequently serviced. They even surprised us with complimentary chocolates and champagne with a room decorated with fake rose petals and balloons and a handwritten card for a celebration! They allowed us to drop off our bags before our 1pm check-in time which was excellent and smooth. Check out was easy as well. Loved the kitchenette. Silverware, bowls, plates, kettle, coffee machine with instant coffee and pods. A microwave, a fridge, and a sink with a Brita filter. It was put to excellent use everyday. Big closet to put our coats and shoes into that I appreciated. The room was a "Small double," so it was definitely small, but doable. Just struggled as to where to put our suitcases. We were room 016 on the ground floor right next to a main door into the lobby, but it was never noisy nor were there any issues. The location was excellent. It's about a 5 minute walk from Victoria Underground Station and coach station. It's also right next to Buckingham Palace! I did not do much walking around the area, but there was a Pret, a Gail's Bakery, a Boots, and a Superdrug within walking distance, so it really had everything I needed. Aside from the light dust that covered some things, I would recommend this place and would stay here again! 5/5

My husband and I traveled to London for our first time. We were jet lagged after over 26 hours of travel. In fact, my teenage daughters fell actually asleep in the Resident Victoria hotel lobby! The gentleman at the front desk (Jason) had told us upon check-in at 8:30 that morning that our room would not be available until 3pm. Jason went out of his way to secure us an earlier room by noon, just so we could rest! I have never had such amazing customer service. The staff also called us in a personal driver for a cheaper cost, just to get to the cruise port in southampton the next morning. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel. Not only is it in walking distance to several of the sights, but the customer service is excellent!!! We will 100% stay here on future trips!

This was a perfect location to stay being so close to Buckingham Palace and Green Park. The room was well presented with everything nice and clean, the only thing I would say was a little misleading was the 'kitchen'. Although we didn't intend to cook any meals we did think we could have made toast for breakfast but the kitchen area was behind bifold doors and there was a sink, fridge, kettle and microwave but no toaster. We bought some food items to take a picnic to Green Park but no worktop space to put it together. I'm only mentioning this as when we booked a room at The Hyatt in Manchester that said you had a kitchen, there was everything you needed with coffee machine, hob, pots and pans and plenty of space to prepare something but this really wasn't possible at The Resident. We stayed for two nights and enjoyed the location and had two great nights out at St. James's theatre next door and around Victoria. Great night's sleep both nights, so happy with that. You pay for the location as this was the most expensive place we've stayed, just a little misleading with the kitchen not really being fit for purpose.

We only stayed one night which was an absolute shame as I’d love to stay longer, we were welcomed and felt welcome from the second we walked in to the second we left, greeted everytime we left and reentered by the incredible staff who were just friendly as we had a chat with them whilst checking in, the hotel go above and beyond with local recommendations with their excellent knowledge of the area which was brill as we knew nothing!! The room was gorgeous, very clean and nicely decorated, bathroom spotless too. The bed was incredibly comfy!! Nice touches with being able to do room service through the TV. Kitchenette area was very useful too! When leaving the staff were just as friendly as the stay, also offering a service where we could leave our luggage with them whilst we looked around the city and return to collect it before we left for our train. I could go on about how incredible our stay was for hours, it really made the experience alot less stressful. I really appreciate it. My only very tiny alteration would be maybe offering two different types of pillow on the bed (one thicker, one thiner) and even that is down to personal choice and didn’t affect my sleep atall, just a minor thing.
Friendly and helpful staff. Location is great walking distance from every major place. Just DO NOT accept to stay in room 014 or any ground floor room. The single room I got was on ground floor and I arrived late at nigbt hoping for a good rest. Unfortunately I am waking up at 3:30 AM by motor noise coming from literally under the bed. I called the reception and complained but the guy confidently says "we never hear this sound. I will check and come back to you" and of course he didn't. I called again and while on the phone, the noise gets reduced. So he says no more available single rooms and check back tomorrow. So I couldn't sleep and at 7am I went out until mid day. when I got back again I was hoping to sleep but noise of continuous motor running is still there. Approaching a complete nervous breakdown from lack of sleep, I went to the reception and luckily he was able to find me a quiet room but it was double room without extra charge. The towels in this room were Unfortunately dirty with green and black stuff sticking to them. But next day I got clean ones or at least I hope they were.

Was pleasantly surprised at how great this hotel was. Perfect for solo travel. Possibly the quietest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The room I had was a full/double size bed. It’s a relatively small room but well designed and didn’t feel crammed at all. Nice mix of modern decor with a touch of British. There was more than enough room for a big suitcase. The room was super clean and fresh. Great linen and comfortable bed. Very clean bathroom which is super important to me. Great water pressure and storage room for toiletries. The towel heater rack was a really nice touch. The kitchenette is perfect for tea and coffee and has a water filter and mini fridge. The staff were super helpful and nice and available for anything you may need. Can’t beat the location- 2 min walk from Buckingham Palace, super close to Victoria Station, COVID test centre literally around the corner. Lots of restaurants steps away. Overall incredible hotel for the value. Would definitely try to stay here again in London.

This is a great little hotel. We stayed for a week in September and it was a very pleasant experience. The staff was super helpful and responsive. We had forgotten outlet adapters, and they some that we were able to borrow. We even arrived to a bottle of wine and a nice handwritten welcome note. The room was small, but it was the perfect size for the two of us and had all the updated amenities you could want. The location is perfect for experience all london has to offer. Buckingham is literally across the street, and there is easy access to restaurants, pubs, the tube, and groceries, all within walking distance. We will definitely choose The Resident Victoria again when we go back to London. The only suggestion for improvement I would give is updating the TVs to allow for streaming service login.

Love this location. Just near theaters, great food, and Buckingham Palace and the parks, this hotel offers wonderful location for exploring this area of London. The people are amazing, especially Catia whose presence at both our check in and check out was professional and welcoming. The only issue is the size of the room — cramped for 2 people and luggage, but well laid out. I appreciated the mini-kitchen and would certainly have used it had we stayed more than one night. Recommended.

What a pleasant and comfortable stay! First, the staff was polite, and the check-in was hassle-free. I appreciated that the staff at the front desk was onsite 24 hours a day and that they greeted me each time I entered the lobby. My room was small but well-appointed. It had everything I needed with an ironing board, tea/coffee maker with mugs and complimentary tea and coffee, and a Brita filter to refill water bottles. The air conditioning was top-notch, and I was able to keep my room at a cool and pleasant temperature. The bed and bedding were very comfortable, and the room was very quiet. I also appreciated the great location, very walkable and close to bus stops and the Victoria tube station. There were plenty of restaurants nearby, and it was close to major sites and parks. I would definitely recommend a stay here!

We chose Resident Victoria over another hotel with city views based on location and the picture provided of a decent sized light filled double room with a view. When we arrived we were given great news that we had been upgraded to a queen room then was explained to take the lift down to LG. Unfortunately our lower ground floor room is dark, small and has no light. I feel somewhat there’s misrepresentation of the light filled picture we saw versus the dark room we’re in. Unfortunately had we known we were going to be on the lower level in a dark room, we would have chosen another hotel. It was a higher price than we were looking at too but wanted to treat ourselves… On a positive side, the bed is amazingly comfortable and the facilities in the room are good. I would only stay here again if they assured us that we would be located on an upper level especially considering the price.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel! I stayed for 4 nights in August. The location is so centrally located to be able to move around the city easily-either by foot, Tube, or bus. The front of house staff are ALL exceptional (shout out, Jason!), always greeting you with a smile as you come in, and ever ready to answer any question you may have or address any issue that comes up. I had a standard double room, which was plenty big for myself and the air conditioner worked great (very important for the heatwaves)!! I have found my go to hotel while in London! I also highly recommend Le Signore cafe right around the corner for a quick breakfast and wonderful coffee to start your day! The owners make you feel very welcome, and it is a hot spot for the locals in the morning (always a good sign!).

Great boutique hotel. Perfect location; walkable to a lot of attractions and close to 2 tube stops. I was a bit unsure of how we'd fare as a family of 4 (2 adults and a 10 & 13 year old) with a sofa bed; experiences with hotel sofa beds in the past have been very uncomfortable. However, this one was very comfortable; essentially 2 twin mattresses together. Probably even more comfortable than the big bed! The Nespresso machine was nice to have in the room for coffee, much better than a standard hotel in-room coffee option. Towels were oversized and very fluffy and absorbent. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. One early evening when we returned they offered complimentary wine to us in the lobby. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Fabulous hotel, 5 minutes walk from Buck Pal. Good sized rooms with kitchenette, spotlessly clean throughout. Good sized TV for those cooler winter evenings with a bottle of "something nice" to relax in front of after a hard day sightseeing. Plenty of cafes and shops Inc a Waitrose less than 5 mins walk from hotel to grab that early morning croissant or pain au raisin before heading off. Ten minutes slow walk from Victoria rail, and 15 minutes from coach station very convenient. We also got a bottle of bubbly and chokkies gratis for our 45th wedding anniversary, totally unexpected. The staff are polite, informative and well dressed, no jeans or T shirts here, smart attire only. An absolutely delightful three day stay.

We stayed at the Resident Victoria for two nights and had a fantastic time. Really friendly staff. Quiet location about 10 mins walk from Victoria tube station. There's no restaurant in the hotel, but plenty of eating places within a few minutes walk. The in-room kitchenette was very handy and there's a Waitrose and M&S with food hall close by for supplies. We had a large room at the end of a corridor, so very quiet. If I had one criticism is that the room we stayed in could do with a few more downlights. There were two covering the third of the room near the door, but none covering the rest of the room, so a little dark near the bed and wardrobe. We would happily stay again.

This was our first time to London, and we picked this hotel based on location near Victoria Station. We are very happy we stayed here! The room was spacious enough for the two of us and our luggage for 3 nights. We arrived a bit earlier than check-in time, but the staff were able to hold our bags for us (and even take them to our room after it was ready!). There is a restroom in the lobby that we used to freshen up from our overnight flight prior to starting our first day in London. The staff at the front desk were kind and accommodating. The location was extremely convenient to everything we planned! There are multiple restaurants and grocery stores around the immediate area, so we didn’t mind that there isn’t breakfast offered like some surrounding places. When we come back to London, we will definitely stay here again.
Fantastic, from start to finish - the hotel was superb, fastidiously clean and immaculately presented. However it was the staff that made the stay, especially Emili, on reception. Upon arriving and checking in, my partner had mentioned we were celebrating my birthday. Upon returning to the room, there was a wonderful surprise, and a hand written card - which set the tone for the stay. A true credit to the hotel and ‘Resident’ Brand. I’ve also already recommended to several family members and work colleagues and will certainly be staying for future visits to London. 5 stars don’t do this review or the hotel justice. Scott & Kate

I have to say Emily, Carmela, Jason, Silvia and Tyrone are fantastic! After having to delay our trip due to the pandemic Tyrone emailed and called to check-in from time to time and suggest times to visit. But once we got there the entire staff was warm and so helpful. The rooms were very clean everyday. After walking all day it was great coming back to this quiet area to rest. But we had access to bars, supermarket, great restaurants, train station, buses but I especially loved the Victoria market. My favorite was Le Signore! It was the best way to start our long days of site seeing. I can't wait to go back and visit!

The Resident Victoria is a comfortable boutique hotel in a convenient location between Buckingham Palace and Victoria station. Between Victoria station and the hotel are a lot of shops and restaurants, including a large M&S and a Boots which make picking up food and other travel needs convenient. Rooms are on the small side but there is a kitchenette and they are new and well maintained. Plenty of plugs and a couple of USB slots for charging. Unfortunately the windows are locked so it’s not possible to let in fresh air. Employees are very friendly and helpful, suggesting places to go and locations to have breakfast- there is no restaurant on site. Overall a very good option for the price.
Extremely functional and comfortable hotel in a greatlocation. Rooms are small, but are very efficient. Having a kitchenette with a fridge and microwave in the room was a nice bonus. The staff was attentive and helpful when we needed it. Hotel is located less than a quarter mile from the Victoria tube station, making transit around the city very convenient. Additionally, there are grocery stores, restaurants, and pubs all within easy walking distance. Finally, the proximity to Buckingham Palace is convenient for tourists who would like to walk. Will definitely stay here again if we go back to London.

This was our favorite place to stay on our trip. It is located next to Buckingham and Victoria station. You can walk or tube anywhere from here- easily! Staff was super helpful, the room was clean and had everything you would need. There was tons of storage in the closet so I’m not sure what some people were saying in other reviews about needing more space. My husband and I spent 5/17 days of our holiday here and I had some pretty big bags. All fit and we never felt cramped. This gives you some of the luxury feel without the insane price tag. Highly recommend!

The location is excellent, as is the comfort of the room. The bed is luscious, the rooms are a good size (big enough to work at the desk comfortably), well decorated and spotless. The bathroom was a good size with shower, toiletries and thick towels. Staff were incredibly attentive. It doesn’t serve breakfast in a downstairs room and doesn’t come with a mini bar or bottles of water in the room. But I did see a room service menu. Highly recommend, especially for a very comfortable and functional place to sleep when visiting London.

We stayed here in June of 2023 and would certainly stay again. The rooms are small, with a few quirks compared with rooms in the US, but all the essentials are there and the decor is clean and modern. The front desk staff is incredible. Edita, Jason, Carmen, Bianca, and all the others could not have been more friendly or helpful. The location can't be beat for tourists in London. Wonderful stay. We stayed a night, moved to a relative’s place, then came back here because we loved it so much. The staff was warm and accommodating and left a bottle of wine in the room for us. Considering the amazing location (right next to Buckingham and Victoria Station) the rooms were quiet and the price was right. We were two adults traveling with a small child. We slept comfortable in both the smaller double room and the larger room with king size bed. The use of space in rooms is quite ingenious. Would stay again!

Enough room for me. I genuinely loved staying here. It's cozy. I felt safe and I love the location. The bed is like a 3 out of 5 but it's okay. I feel comfortable here in the basement with windows. The water pressure is great and the bathroom is extremely clean. Also, side note... the lighting is REALLY good. The ambient lighting, all of it. No harsh lights. I actually miss this hotel compared to the Radisson Blu, which I'm at now. Also, no strange smells. And really nice hotel staff.
This hotel hands down is best value in London, the location is perfect and very safe. We were next to the tube train station and very central to many of the attractions. The hotel staff was very nice and welcoming. Our room was very clean and the hotel feels like a premium hotel at a very good price. They also wrote us a card and gave us a bottle of wine for free for our stay which is a nice touch.

The bed was terribly uncomfortable. The thin mattress was sunken in the middle and very hard. There was no box springs, only a box platform I would think a "quality" hotel like this that charges the prices they do could afford to invest in higher-quality mattresses for their guests. Other than that the room was fine, although rather small. Thes staff was very courteous and provessional.

Mirela and Monika on the reception team were absolutely amazing. They went the extra mile for me and really made me feel like a valued resident and ensured I had everything I needed so that I would have a great stay. The room is amazing, bed is so comfortable, and the location is superb. I'll be back many times!
Great value for the location quality of room and service. Going back again next year.

Quiet, Great value
The room and stay was good, but the location is what I loved. It was near a great walking area, Buckingham Palace, many food spots, and plenty of pubs. The room was fine and the staff was friendly. I would stay here again. It was mostly quiet and no one made a lot of noise. I like that in a hotel.
Modern, clean room. Good lighting. Well-equipped with a small kitchenette. Nice, clean bathroom. Comfy bed, nice linens. Great location near Buckingham Palace and Victoria. Excellent little Cafe round the corner.

Rooms are nice, but the WiFi and the air con didn't work for me, so they had to move me fairly late at night.

Luxury, Quiet
Only thing that need to improve in this place is the mattress, way overused and sinks like a bird nest. Location, staff, room, amenities, and cleanness were all great

A clean and friendly hotel. Good resturants in the neighbourhood; Franco Manca, Pizza Pilgrims. Very close to Buckingham palace. Westminister Abbey, London Eye and many other attractions within walking distance.
Clean, quiet and great location. My only gripe is the street light can’t be blocked out with the curtains. Not a super big deal, but noticeable.

Excellent location, clean and spacious rooms, and a friendly staff. Also possibly the largest towels I have ever used, it was all great.
