"Okay so went there tonight for a karaoke night which people I went with had said they had been there before so got a drink enjoying the night and then an argument started it soon soon escalated and the manager refused to review the cctv as the people who were instigating the argument were regulars (they had dreadlocks) they then let there “regulars” follow the guy outside and chase him after saying they were going to “slice him” I said I worked in the industry and she raised her voice saying she didn’t need my advice and they do things differently (I certainly saw that) but given what had happened she should have called the police and she didn’t I then refused to spend another penny in this pub she allowed her regulars to come back in and then they started saying about hurting my friend who left without anyone knowing due to being scared I just couldn’t believe they disregarded everything these people done because they come in all the time"
"Only got one star as Google reviews does not allow a zero"
"We reserved one side of the bar for a wake with access to a garden area"
"Good quality 5 star wholesome food good size portions great atmosphere reasonable prices for food and drinks, place is clean with a large outside garden real friendly place"
"Great Pub"
Okay so went there tonight for a karaoke night which people I went with had said they had been there before so got a drink enjoying the night and then an argument started it soon soon escalated and the manager refused to review the cctv as the people who were instigating the argument were regulars (they had dreadlocks) they then let there “regulars” follow the guy outside and chase him after saying they were going to “slice him” I said I worked in the industry and she raised her voice saying she didn’t need my advice and they do things differently (I certainly saw that) but given what had happened she should have called the police and she didn’t I then refused to spend another penny in this pub she allowed her regulars to come back in and then they started saying about hurting my friend who left without anyone knowing due to being scared I just couldn’t believe they disregarded everything these people done because they come in all the time. I truly hope nothing happened to that man that got chased down the street not to mention they locked the doors so and a blind man couldn’t even get out the doors so had to go to the bar to ask that he could leave. But they did this so no one else could help the guy as they certainly let there regulars get out! Please be cautious when going here and be mindful of these 2 men that clearly are there often. Stay safe
Only got one star as Google reviews does not allow a zero. I've been to this pub twice as I live nearby. On the first occasion, when I made to enter, I felt such bad vibes from the patrons that I felt I wasn't welcome so I turned around and left. On the second occasion (Friday 7th), I went back with another (non white) friend and received nasty stares at the door. We made our way in and while we were having a drink, a tall aggressive dreadlocked black man approached us and rudely asked my friend to take his feet off the chair. We took this as our cue to leave. As we went out, my friend asked the black man if he could ask him a question but the man said no and when my friend asked him why he had been so rude, he started to shout abuse and swear at us. This went on for several minutes as he threatened us and told us to "go love yourselves" as we left. Overall, an extremely weird experience! Never going back there and definitely not recommending this place to any one!
We reserved one side of the bar for a wake with access to a garden area. Staff were friendly, respectful and went out of their way to cater to needs. Thank you Sarah for all your help. The pub itself is accessed via the main entrance with a CCTV electronic door entry system to keep out any unwanted patrons. The decor is newly painted in contemporary grey tones. Lovely setting, good location and great service. The food was plentiful and well prepared.
Good quality 5 star wholesome food good size portions great atmosphere reasonable prices for food and drinks, place is clean with a large outside garden real friendly place. Facial recognition or buzzer button for entry, installed, there is CCTV coverage inside and out, for security. Kitchen is now open, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Walk ins welcome, pre book for larger parties.
Great Pub. Very friendly lively place which has a live DJ on Saturday nights plus excellent staff especially Sandie who is a treasure with her customers. Also has live Football too which is always a plus have been coming here a few years now and have always liked the beer they serve. I would recommend this pub to any newcomer.
Nice little pub right next to Becontree Leisure centre. Good collection of beers and with great bar food available during the day. There is also outdoor seating, which is good option during warm and sunny days. Not very ideal in terms of location though, being next to a leisure centre.
Decent, fair prices, never tried the food but looks good, outdoor seating and even a tent, the have live sports playing and also a pool table, quiet atmosphere and all staff are attentative. If it had slightly better decor I would give it 5 stars but this is just my preference.
Lovely friendly atmosphere, the Manager is always in the Bar happy to have a drink with his customers. Will definitely go there again.
