Update 04.05.19 Another visit to this store showed that there are no improvements. I took 2 photos (see below) of rotten veggies and made a verbal complaint to the manager, who looked surprised but when i took him to the isle a few minuted later, there were 2 people working on removing the bags so I couldn't find the bags that I took photos of, which is obvious that they did it only because I addressed the issue. I have made a request to mark the bags with dates when they were packaged as this should be a must practice. He reassured me they will do it. Will see how they follow thru their promise. March, 2019. It used to be my favorite store but in the past 2 years they sell molded and rotten veggies. When the packaged and dry food gets expired they sort it out and repackage into containers with Trader's Joe labels. It is very frustrating when you open a bag with fresh spinach (which is popular item and should be fresh) I will find many leaves are rotten already and it barely has 1-2 days left. They only put recommended date to use by (like we should rely on incompetent institution that sells stuff to decide) and don't put the actual packaged date so we wouldn't know and will not be able to hold them responsible.

There was a Really long socially distant queue to get into the store today. I don't mind as it keeps the store at a comfortable sized crowd. Most of the people were in line for checkout which was also a long queue that zig zagged and wrapped around. If this happens to you...its okay. Just take a breath... deeper. Take a deep breath... and relax. It's alright okay? You'll be fine and the line will move I promise. It's deceptively long because instead of people huddling into separate lines for each register that's open, there is one mother queue that affords the person in front to access the next available cashier. See, it's not so bad. Just relax baby. We are all in this boat together and together we will get through it. Oh yeah, the shelves were adequately stocked and the staff was friendly enough. Because of the crowd restrictions it was very comfortable navigating the isles with my cart.

I love going to this particular store. It is essentially located between my work and my home and I stopped by on my way home after a day of work. I particularly love the meatloaf that they make at the store as well as the mochi ice cream that I get as a snack. I'm hooked on the huge variety of salads and things that you see in the store. I come in to get things that I just don't want to be without. Packaging and presentation mean everything, and you don't mind trying something new because all the merchandise looks so fresh and closely spaced. Finally the checkout is a breeze. There are so many cashiers available that they're all trying to get your attention when you come down the aisle. This is customer service at its finest. Everyone checks you out with a smile, and they really seem to be happy that you're there. Great job Trader Joe's...... I'll be back again and again.

I no longer shop at this location and instead drive the extra 8 minutes to the Carmel Mountain one where even though it's insanely busy, maybe even busier than this one, the staff there is at least, a lot nicer. The staff at this Trader Joe's used to be friendly, but a lot of people there now are either not the same ones from 2-3 years ago or they changed. Whenever i go to this location i always get either stares or glares. I never once get a smile or friendly greeting. I'm a very timid person and try not to ask a question unless absolutely necessary, i'm always polite and friendly and expect at least the same back. Unfortunately, i'm always met with very unfriendly glances and it just makes me really uncomfortable shopping there. Unless it's absolutely necessary, i won't be stepping foot in this location again. Too bad since it's 2 miles away from where i live.

My favorite store of all time! Love the tasting booth where I always get some great ideas for dinner and lunch, plus I love a little cup of coffee in the store. Always tons of unique products, fast meals, and a great return policy... if you don’t like something you try from there, they give you a refund! Amazing! It has allowed me to be more adventurous and try new things, knowing that I’m not out any money if I hate it. I do wish they’d find another way to sell their produce... so many little plastic containers when we should be doing all we can to reduce the use of plastic. It’s really unnecessary. But otherwise I love this store and visit it around 3x per week. Many of the employees know be by name, which makes me feel at home when I shop there. Definitely my favorite place in my whole neighborhood!

First time at this location since was on our way. We usually go to the one in la Jolla or del mar hight/Carmel Valley twice week. This location has some very rude employees that I was shocked to see since I am trader joe's customer for awhile and never experienced anything like yesterday. Asked for help on wine section. The employee who were just walking around and not seems busy showed some attitude when I asked for help to find no sulfate wine he said we don't have such a thing . I was very surprised by his response since we always get that wine. Then came to cashier. No respond when I say hi no asked if I need bag or not. Hand me w a very cold expression the receipt.

Super friendly, happy employees always ready to assist the customer with whatever they need In the store. Victoria was my cashier, and she was just a smiley bundle of sunshine as she asked checked my items. As she was checking the eggs, she noticed that some were broken. She asked me if I would like to replace them, to which I replied, "yes please". She rang a bell and gentleman came over to her promptly, she asked if he would be willing to go get some new eggs for me, to which he replied, "Of course my pleasure". Shopping here just makes for a good start of my day! Never had a bad experience, the selection was great and the prices were afordable!

So much good stuff at Trader Joe's! They have the best variety of plants and flowers (reasonably priced too) for gifts. They also have tasty items at a great value. My favorite time of the year are the holidays, the turkey gravy and cream of mushroom soup is the best. They have a wonderful selection of cheeses and bakery items. There is always something great at Trader Joe's. I go in for a few things and usually end up coming out with a few bags. And the employees are great, always friendly and smiling and they know their stuff about the products!

People who go to Trader Joe's, both workers and customers , are probably some of the happiest, hippest people in the world . This location specifically is no exception. Parking can sometimes be a challenge , but is not impossible. While produce and meat products are admittedly on the higher end cost-wise, quality is usually high as well and can justify the price tag. Everything else is reasonably priced, and there are a ton of gourmet snacks, ingredients, and products , as well as many organic, sustainable options.

I love that this company has great integrity! They really care for the well being of their customers. Very clean and a friendly humorous staff (Specially Merry Beth she is always very respectful, attentive, courteous and friendly) makes this place a must visit . Great prices. The parking lot sucks at peak hours.

We have loved Trader Joe's for years! But our local Mira Mesa Trader Joe's is extra special because of the friendly and kind staff that work there! Every time I have visited this Trader Joe's, the cashiers has been incredibly friendly! They talk and engage with my (terrible 2s) toddler, and give his stickers. My toddler also loves using the kiddie carts! It's such a great thing to offer their customers! Keep up the great work Mira Mesa Trader Joe's!

Five star Trader Joe's! As always they have a great selection of products at good prices. This location in particular had amazing employees who really went above and beyond. At the sample counter we were offered special items for the our young kids, and over by the alcohol we had another employee spend several minutes helping us pick out some local beers. Checkout was fast and easy and they even had stickers for kids. Thanks TJ's!

With few grocery stores in the immediate area, this store can get busy. We shop here routinely and it is always clean, kind and friendly staff, and the check stands are always full of employees checking people out. If you find yourself waiting, there is a chance an employee will come over and redirect you to a faster checkout line. Everyone has a smile and is very polite. I would highly recommend this Traders Joes to anyone.

This has got to be my favorite grocery store in the surrounding area. The only issues I have are when it's busy. Parking is a challenge and getting in and out of parking lot is also difficult. I also have found if you shop on busy times many items may be out of stock. Still the unique variety of items that trader Joe's carries makes it worth shopping there when it's busy!

Spacious, helpful staff, plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables to choose from, and a plethora of sweets and snacks, how could I rate it anything BUT 5 stars? Thanks Trader Joe's! Came in for almonds and butter, left with those AND this awesome Yuzu hot sauce. Would definitely recommend it! Also, can I suggest a bigger bottle? This one never lasts long enough .

See customers' complaints about Joe's not marking expiry date and often rotten items found in packs. Similarly , concerns are there about organic salad. Management to please address these issues. Staff is curtious. Prices are reasonable. Staff is cheerful.

My organic kale chicken Caesar salad had a fly in it. I’m mortified. The fly was at the bottom of the container so I was almost finished with the salad before I saw the fly DO NOT BUY TRADER JOES ORGANIC SALAD this is literally horrifying. I hope corporate looks into this so this doesn’t happen to anyone else. I’ll be surprised if I’m not sick after this.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Great place to buy produce. Also the meat at Trader Joe’s is really fresh. There is also a small tasting kitchen at the end of the store where they offer free samples of their products everyday. This place also has a good variety in flower section. Only finding parking spot in this shopping complex is a bit tough.

I come here for the weird food and cheese selection. The cheeses cannot be beat. Clearly I couldn't do full grocery shopping here but it's always fun to come and get a couple of fun niche items (or cheese). Everyone that works here is super friendly and always have a couple free samples out. Great place to just stop by and look around.

My favorite cozy nice shop.they have awesome chocolates and the organic stuffs here are usually very good..mac is best here ..and other pastas are good too..frozen food and icecreams are good too..recently they added so many vegan and vegetarian selections and I am really excited to try them. Have already tried a few and loved them.

The people that work here are so helpful and it has a really great atmosphere. I like the way the store is laid out and although parking is tight it's better than at any of the other Trader Joe's I visit. Try their seasonal Phantom wine, either the white or the red is a $40 bottle for a $15 price tag. Absolutely amazing!

Good store. It’s not compact like a lot of other Trader Joe’s in the area. They have liquors which is nice and good produce , cheese and frozen options. They also have a nice bathroom. Very clean. Location is very convenient as well because it’s right off the 15 on ramp. This is one of my preferred Trader Joe’s stores

This location has superb customer service, one gentleman found all 3 things I was looking for personally. I wish I got his name, but all the employees I had asked for assistance on other occasions were extremely helpful and kind. They are stocked well and adhere to Covid restrictions. My new favorite go to location.

I rarely come here and on this trip it was with my wife. There’s a good variety of food in flavor and style. Prices are going up and Trader Joe’s typically costs more than other places so I won’t hold that against them. There are plenty of employees around to help out if you need it. Customer service is great.

Trader Joe's is a nice place to get decent coffee, experience at times surprising beer discoveries, sweet things, and pretty stacked-up sauces/spices section. The best things about TJ is the balance between price and quality of their items. Most items here prioritize excellent health conscious ingredients.

I love this place. All of the products I've ever purchased have been more than satisfying, with only a couple of exceptions, and when I've expressed my dissatisfaction I was pleasingly taken care of. Great value, selection of dependable, high quality products and service beyond compare.

This Trader Joe's has the best bunch of employees. They are so kind and helpful. They make small talk at the checkout line without going slowly. And if you're looking for something they always help out. The woman who is almost always at the food samples station (Mary Beth) is the best.

I decided to go to this trader joes instead of the one in Carmel Mountain near my home. It was a great decision because nobody was waiting outside and the store is huge. I still love the TJ's near my house but now I have a second one to go to. The customer service was outstanding!

I love shopping here! The staff are all very nice and helpful. They have different samples everyday and sometimes I decide what to make for dinner based on what the sample of the day is. I love that thet also have recipe cards that I can take home to make again anytime.

I love this store! Lots of healthier choices. Lots of variety. Everything I have ever bought and eaten from there was tasty. One thing I miss though, are the small serving boxed, Pacific Brand soups. I'm one person. I dont want to eat the same thing 4 days in a row. Lol

Love coming by to Trader Joe's and grabbing organic goodness. They usually have flowers by the front and at certain time they give out free samples. Surprisingly their beer/wine selection is very thorough and great to pick through. Definitely great to swing by!

My go to Trader Joe's as it is local neighborhood store. Nice staff, usually have things that I need in stock and clean restrooms. I highly suggest their pork chops and ground turkey. I get all of my meat from here as well as wine, veggies and potatoes.

Went for the first time since before covid and was pleasantly surprised at all the gluten free offerings now. I no longer have to make an extra trip to my regular grocer for gf bread. I saw long wait lines to get in during pandemic but that is no more.

This store is fantastic, very small but you can find your basic needs, like for instance they carry one ketchup and is organic, great selection on frozen foods, if you need wine you can find great bourdeaux, nero davola etc. Organic eggs and much more

My happiness lies in every aisle of Trader Joes. Orange Cranberry Scones: what can I say? I love them because they are not scones; don't buy them though, they are all for me and they run out early in the morning. Other favorites include: EVERYTHING.

I always loved this trader joes and had a good experience, but this time I purchased persion cucumber and they’re all bad and useless. This is the second time it’s happened to me, even though I always check before purchasing them. Very disappointed

Love Trader Joe's for its produces, frozen food, cookies, dry fruits, desserts, flowers and pretty much everything. Their produces are good quality. Scripps Ranch location has bigger aisles than some locations. Staff are always nice and friendly.

One of the best place for grocery shopping. They have a lot of unique staff. Parking can be tough during the peak hours so be patient when looking for parking spot. They always have free coffee which is unfortunately not as good as I expected.

You can never go wrong with TJ's! Parking isn't too bad here, especially if you don't go during prime business hours. The staff is always friendly and they keep a good stock of stuck, as far as produce and healthy stuff goes.
