This place is a HOLIDAY! Hailey makes me as happy as Christmas morning and the 4th of July wrapped in one appointment! I trust my blonde hair with her because it's the brightness without the yellow that I look for and she delivers like a real Santa. She is honest about what needs to be done to create my look but also maintain it so I can have the fresh look for weeks! Also, sometimes I get anxious thinking about having to sit in a salon chair as if I had to sit on the Easter Bunny’s lap BUT time flies in that chair. (on a serious note...no April fools here...I am a VERY, VERY antsy person so this really impressed me.) She is so sweet and friendly that you think it's your birthday with how she makes you feel so special. She also saves me money by being my therapist!! I'd bet all my Halloween candy that you'll become a lifer once you check her out! The talent is a Christmas miracle and affordable. You'll leave her chair looking hot like a firecracker...cause, baby, you're a firework! Happy Hair Days!

Never go to this hair salon for hair color. My stylist Ashley was absolutely horrible. I went to this salon 2 times in the past and on both occasions, she damaged my hair color. In the last visit in July 2021, she actually deceived me by changing my blonde hair color to my natural hair color, ie, black. I was so nervous when I saw the result but she kept giving pep talks and false promises that it takes 24 hours for the color to appear. I was shocked the next day when I saw that my hair was pitch black and nothing close to what she promised, ie, medium brown-blonde. It was so frustrating because they charged me $290 for this. They refused to fix it or refund me. I had to live with it for the next 6 months. Thankfully I changed my salon and stylist and my new stylist has done an excellent job in fixing the mess that Ashley has created. Please stay away from this salon and Ashley if you love your hair.

I just had my hair colored by Brandy! I have had to wait for this appointment because Brandy is like the Taylor Swift of the salon- you have to wait for the appointment but it is SO WORTH it once you get in! My color is vibrant, dimensional and perfect for me. True story; was in Athleta at the green hills mall 2 days after my appointment and one of the customers told me my hair looked great. (You know so you look good when strangers stop you in a store to tell you!) Brandy does a fantastic job of understanding what you want, and then adding in an element of color you didn’t know you wanted. I feel like Brandy sees my look as it could be and then colors and cuts my hair to get me closer to the best look for me. I came in from out of town planning on attending a Christmas concert in Nashville. I wanted my hair freshly cut and styled day-of for the event. My first stylist was Adri, who helped my hot mess of a head of hair find its zen and balance (and long layers ) She was a pleasure to talk with and we enjoyed our session together! Then Sidney styled it for me day-of to the requested “imperfect perfect” to my complete satisfaction! I had asked for “Old Hollywood Glam” and felt like a golden, glitter goddess when I stepped into my dress! These gems of ladies were friendly and warm to me and took their time to make sure it was just right! I felt comfortable expressing what I wanted and they delivered! Such professional and personable gals made my experience at True Blue a delight! I will be a repeat customer next time I’m in town!

I made an appointment 2 months in advance so that my hair would be ready for my college graduation and they let me know two days before that they cancelled my appointment and did not respond to my text. When I got a hold of them and was thankfully able to make another highlight appointment I was put with a hairstylist who put the bleach too close to my roots. This left two bleach splotches on either side of my head that I noticed every time I looked in the mirror. 3 months later I decided to go back to my natural color brown and even after my new and better hairstylist at home dyed it back it still didn't cover the bleach splotches which means I need to do more upkeep (which I was hoping to avoid when I went back natural) and spend more money just to fix this True Blue hairstylists' mistake.

ZOE is the best stylist ever and the salon is beautiful. Zoe does the best cut and color I've ever had.....and I've been around along time so I've had a bunch! I've been definite as to my desired color and she hit it right on. She's a wonderful styltist and may suggest subtle changes that are quite becoming and flattering (and sexy! even at my age) She educates me about the best products to use and how they work. She teaches me how to style my hair at home ... and I can do it! The cuts grow out well and main good shape and balance for 2-3 months. She did my hair for my wedding and it was AWESOME...Tons if complements! I won't go to anyone else. I live 21 miles away and will be moving further out but will absolutely continue to go to Zoe at True Blue.

I went to True Blue for the first time in June 2017 as many friends go there and had recommended it. I decided to get my hair colored for the first time in about 5 years, and it came out almost the same as the color it started. When I mentioned this to the Salon afterwards, the owner Kim Hunter personally called and scheduled me to come back in so she could get the color right. I went back and Kim was great! She made sure to figure out what I wanted and walked me through the process. The color is much blonder now and I get tons of compliments! Thanks so much Kim for putting customer service first and making sure every customer leaves happy! I would absolutely recommend this place to friends and family!

This is really such a great place, and it's hard for me to fully convey here how helpful and professional the staff are. Not only were they able to fix bad hair cuts (Jessica is great!), they also tell you comprehensively how to best care for your hair. So, not only do you get a great cut and style, you also get a lot of really helpful information about your hair at the same time. For instance, I learned that my hair has both fine and coarse characteristics, which can be dealt with using a range of techniques. Jessica gave me a lot of recommended options, and I really left feeling like I knew a lot more about my hair. Truly a great place, and I can recommend no better in Nashville.

Jacqueline is the best hair dresser and is just so knowledgeable on hair/hair products. I have blonde hair, so I have to make sure I’m taking care of it after my salon appointments. The “Heart Of Glass” product line has SAVED my hair. It helps keep it heathy and recover from all bleach. After Covid my hair started falling out more than usual, so I started using the natural tech energizing line, and it helped thicken my hair back up. Jacqueline always has my products in stock too, so I never gave to worry about running out! I can’t say enough good things about this salon. The salon is kept so clean and just always a great environment. I would never go anywhere else!

I had the WORST hair appointment of my life yesterday at the True Blue Salon on West End. They scheduled another person with my stylist during my appointment time, so I ended up having moments during the middle of my appointment where I was waiting for 30 min with my head in the washing bowl for my stylist to come wash my hair and apply the toner. We got to the end of the appointment (finally) and the highlights were streaky and poorly blended. I felt that I was charged way too much for a terrible hair cut and color, and I was absolutely floored at how awful the service was from start to finish. DO NOT GO HERE

True Blue is a trustworthy salon. They have both great services and customer service. Their associates are kind, respectful, engaging, and have good taste and skill. They check and double check that their vision for your hair matches your expectation (they would never leave you unhappy, but would work with you until your haircut reaches your satisfaction). Their Aveda products are great, and they also have a great referral system. I'd definitely recommend them. They are pricier than I'd like to pay for a haircut (what can I say, I'm a cheap college student), but you definitely get what you pay for.

I’m not one to usually write reviews but I felt I needed to this time because it was an overall great experience. I went to Kayleigh to get a cut and Balayage and I love it! She did a great job with communicating and working with me before my appointment. I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted so she had suggested a few things and was very friendly and patient with me. There was also another girl in there who shared the same work space as her and I believe her name was Taylor. She as well was very friendly and they both made it a very relaxing and chill experience! I definitely recommend this place!

I went here once years ago, and have not returned. My hair was so over-processed and left dry and brittle that it broke off and created a shelf. I choose not to return because I was worried about what inexperienced staff I would get next to try to correct. I still received their very tacky coupon emails after unsubscribing over and over again. I posted a review on Facebook, and the owner was less than responsive and unhelpful. You really get what you pay for at this salon. They also need to invest in some education and a marketing professional vs giving a discount to increase butts in chairs.

I got my hair highlighted for the first time ever at 25! I was nervous, but AJ did SUCH a wonderful job! A couple days after getting my hair done, I realized I wanted my hair a little lighter. So, I went into the salon and chatted with the girls at the front desk and they were so understanding and helped me reschedule another salon appointment with AJ - for free! After the second visit with AJ, my hair is PERFECT and I am over the moon with the customer service, skills of the stylists and how welcome they make you feel in their salon. Definitely recommend getting your hair styled here!

If you're looking for the very best, call the salon and get hooked up with Brandy. She's got the skills to pay the bills. Twice in my life, this woman has saved my hair- once from an incredibly botched color situation and more recently when my hair was damaged and frayed from too much razor cutting, DIY bang trims and Sun Bum. Yep. She's not afraid and if you're having a hair moment, she can transform you into a goddess without batting an eye. If you are going for Nico, Audrey, Pat, Patti, Jane B or whoever your muse is, she can make the magic happen. Plus, as a person, she's just rad.

I left a bad review for the salon after a haircut I got here (below) and they called me back to get it fixed. I’m really happy to say that it looks great now!! The owner Kim fixed up my hair This salon messed up my hair really badly. They cut it 4-5 inches shorter than I asked for and gave me the worst layers I have ever had in my life. My hair is so short and looks so bad and I can’t even fix it because they took off all the length. So now I have to wait for my hair to grow back before I can go to an actually decent salon. The facility is nice but do not get your hair cut by McKenzie.

I have been going to True Blue Salon for over 20 years. Kim Hunter, Owner of True Blue Salon, is a very successful business woman. She has amazing stylist that are the best in Tennessee! True Blue Salon has received numerous awards for being selected Best Salon! Her staff is extremely helpful with making sure the clients receive the best in their experience at True Blue - they are always cheerful and helpful! I love it that each stylist or staff calls you by your name. That is very professional and shows appreciation for our business. Love all my girls at True Blue!

I love Kaitlyn at TrueBlue! If you are looking for a great hair stylist, she does an amazing job every time! She is so personable, and actually listens to what I want. She even knows what I want when I can’t describe it well! My hair always turns out great (I’ve done both cut and color with her.) I also get my brows waxed here, and I love their aveda products. Lastly, I am super busy with work and Kaitlyn is always so kind when I have to answer an email or call during my appointment. It’s so hard for me to step away from work and she’s super understanding of that.

Emma is the magician of hair. She keeps my highlighted blonde hair looking natural and makes sure it is not streaky and grows out in a tasteful way. I also have very curly hair and she does a great job cutting it so I don't have a triangle shaped head. Besides her skill, she is also a hilarious person and I feel at ease in her chair. I feel like I'm talking to a lifelong friend with her and I implicitly trust her with my opinionated lions mane. The staff at the entire salon is knowledgeable and welcoming. I know I will never have a bad experience at true blue!

True Blue is aptly name. They are tried and true in their cleanliness, predictability and services. Kennedy at the West End True Blue Salon is great. I had been searching for a great colorist for years (no joke, years) and I finally found her! I came to her last July and she is always consistent with her coloring and really takes the time to understand my request so that our expectations are in sync (so many questions at first - it was great). And I love the way she cuts and texturizes my hair as well. Great person, great personality and so so fun!

I have never had a better salon experience. Everyone is so welcoming, it is incredibly easy to schedule. You get a lovely head massage when you sit down (and who wouldn't want that). The Aveda products are lightly used, but work amazingly - my hair is always the softest and smells beautiful. My hairdresser is the best I have ever had, asking me every step of the way what I want done. I have never walked out wishing it would grow out a little to even up, or wishing that the shape was slightly different. I always get exactly what I want, every time!

I used to always find Groupons for haircuts (I'm a poor grad student), but I finally realized my best haircut was from True Blue Salon and it's 100% worth the money. I've now had 3 haircuts here, each with a different stylist, and they've all been wonderful! The staff is also super knowledgeable about helping you choose which Aveda products would be good for you, and they sell trial sizes that are much cheaper too! So glad to have finally found a reliable awesome place right on West End :)

I hadn't been to a professional hair stylist in so long but I was really wanting to chop off a lot of my naturally curly hair and wanted someone experienced. I felt super comfortable here and the services were incredible. Katelyn was so friendly and I could tell she was very experienced and talented. I have gotten so many compliments on my new haircut and I will definitely be returning. Also is a great and convenient place for students attending Vanderbilt or Belmont since it is so close.

True Blue Salon is my number one place to get my hair done. I have never left disappointed. I always leave feeling fresh and like the visit was worth every penny. I always schedule appointments with Tyler V. Tyler does an amazing job every time exceeding my expectations. I just had an excellent experience at the Aveda Salon on West End. My stylist was named Marie. I met her at a networking event and told her my disappointment with my previous appointment 2 months prior. She was genuinely concerned and took time to listen to what I wanted. Then she took time to get the right game plan together and come up with the perfect solution. She is a great stylist and I would highly recommend her. I am very satisfied with my service and hair!

Katelyn is amazing! She went above and beyond and not only corrected a bad color job I got at another salon, but she gave me the color I’ve always wanted but could never seem to get anywhere else. Colyn is just the best! He's always friendly and courteous, and gives a spectacular cut. One of my favorite things about him is how when I ask for suggestions or recommendations, he takes the time to listen to my needs. He always offers appropriate solutions, without being pushy. Just all-around fabulous! The rest of the staff is great too. Everyone I have interacted with at this salon has provided stellar customer service.

So my stylist was zoey! She listened tho I didn’t really have pictures to show exactly what I wanted to do to my hair but that didn’t matter she fixed my problem and wasn’t intimidated by my super thick and curly type 4 hair! Her head massages are legit and I’ll definetly be going back! There Aveda products left my hair super soft and not once did she rip out my hair! Super great experience for my first salon experience!!

This has been my go-to salon since moving to Nashville several years ago. I fell in love with the skill & charisma of my stylist, the maestro Sam Rovetto, on day 1! I always leave w/ the most perfect cut, and feel truly refreshed (physically & spiritually). Also love the space (super clean & relaxing), the front desk team (always w/ smiles), the aveda products (smell amazing and super “clean”), and the ease of parking!

I've had two appointments now with Carney and could not be happier with her and the salon! Haircuts have always been an anxious/unpleasant experience for me until I started going to Carney. Tyler was fantastic! She gave me a cut, color and conditioning treatment. She has a wonderful demeanor. She stayed late the day before Thanksgiving making sure that she took her time. I'm transitioning from boxed dark red hair color to a two toned blonde hair color. She somehow managed to make sure the color didn't turn out brassy. I would highly recommend her services. New in Nashville was looking for someone who could do color but once in a while cut my hair. I have been to the salon twice and had Samantha aka Sam. She is amazing listens to what you want and execute perfectly. Front staff is friendly, location and hours are perfect for those who work and can’t make an appointment during the day. Needed haircut and coloring. Called to make appointment but they wanted to check first who is available to do the job. One of the associate told me she will call back with appointment waited the whole day but never received any calls. Called again and said the same thing it’s been 4 days didn’t receive any callback from them. I guess they don’t want any business. Bad service.

I had a wonderful experience working with Marie. I had a partial balayage done in April and was extremely happy with the results. I’m one month in and still loving the color results. The first time service $20 online coupon was also a nice perk. I wish I had taken before and after pictures, but I’ll surely do that the next time I’m here.

Hunter did a great job. I've had plenty of hairdressers that have told me I can't quite do the exact color I want will get you close, but Hunter actually listened and was able to do an amazing job and get me exactly what I want and make sure it fit my pictures! She also put her own realistic flair, which made it fit my face awesome.

My sister and I come to this salon often to get our hair done. After a family concern, my sister had to cancel her appointment. The salon charged her account 200$ without telling her there was any cancellation fee. When we called and asked for the money to be returned, they hung up on us. We will NEVER be returning.

An amazing salon! They volunteered their time and talents during our fundraiser for childhood cancer research. They did the glam for about 10 of our rally kids making them feel extra special and loved! It was a special night for all and we are grateful to True Blue Salon for making it wonderful for our Rally kids.

Such a lovely atmosphere and the staff is amazing. I even trusted my regular stylist Emma enough to give me a pixie--and that's saying a lot for me! She did an amazing job.
