Offers safe, quick, and fairly-priced check-cashing, and they are VERY vigilant about checking ID and require you to endorse the check in front of the cashier to prevent fraud or theft, unusually organized with none of the nonsense and chaos that is common in places with booze, brisk lottery sales, check cashing, AND cheap cigarette prices...no BS French Quarter mark-up here. highly recommended.

I expected it to be a "grocery store" as the name suggests. But its kind of liquor store with some 7/11 type stuff. Even the range assuming it to be a convenience store was extremely limited and people were shouting around and what not. There was an on-duty cop in this tiny little store just to make sure things go smooth which speaks volumes about the overall feel of the place!

In the French Quarter. Very busy area. No parking in front of this liquor store. This store offers a check cashing window and an ATM and LOTS of liquor. Update: I was return to Unique, noticed lots of trash/dumpster in front of the building. Also fyi, unfortunately there are homeless people that gathered in the evening near Unique’s. sad.

Unique is amazing. Truly good people run this market. Check cashing, bill pay, bus passes, phone cards, snacks, beverages, and a bitcoin machine, too! There will be long lines, no matter what time you go there. That's because we all love this place. But the lines go super quick, and expect to be treated very efficiently and with courtesy.

Walked from my hotel to get snacks and drinks. More of a convenience and liquor store than a typical grocery, FYI. Don't go expecting a fresh grocery selection, but if you need a cold drink, snacks, or alcohol, they've got you. You will absolutely be asked for cash by multiple people on your way in.

It's a hole in the wall located in the French Quarter, but it's not a bad place to grab a soda and bottle at reasonable prices. Unlike other places, just be careful if you're not too familiar with certain areas because there's lots of poverty everywhere and everywhere is not for everyone.

Been going here for over 20years. Wide variety and always there when u need them. From stamps to donuts to moneygram check cashing noodles or booze. Family ran and one of them is usually on site. Truly one stop shop. Early and late hours. #notApaidSpokesPerson #trulyJustaFan(M)

Never have I been treated with such disrespect and racially profiled. Because I am white the female employee gave me attitude when I asked if she worked there. Then the clerk finally arrives from the back and waits on the black patroness first.

This is the go to spot on Royal for all your vice needs from liquor to beer to wine to cigarettes and everything in between. It's always packed in here but you'll be able to find what you need to get your party started or keep it going.

We’re from Kentucky and love our bourbon. This place had Blanton’s and the large bottles of Maker’s and all for very reasonable prices, Kentucky or otherwise! And the staff went out of their way to find things for us and were so nice.

It is not a grocery store. Way overpriced, everything you can get in there you can get at the CVS across the street for cheaper. Unique grocery does not have any actual groceries. It’s just a liquor store with candy

only reason it isn't 5 stars is lack of 24 hr service. but, honestly, off the top of my head, this store is easily top 3 in the entire French Quarter when it comes to prices & selection.

This is a booze store not a food store, and the food is processed. Did not see any fresh produce. Convenient if you are staying nearby or walking across the Quarter.

This is a modest liquor, grocery and sundries store. For low sq. ft it was nicely stocked, room in aisles to pass, clean, and very courteous, helpful folks.
