As an Asian American, I ran the Thanksgiving Food Drive in college, and went to do Habitat for Community on winter break. I'd say I am a decent American. I was at the self-checkout at Vons Scripps Poway Parkway. I paid and about to leave, a white woman 40s-50s behind me said to me you didn't pay. The self-checkout clerk came over quickly and said to me "you didn't pay honey." **Do not freaking call me honey when you don't know me personally, I hate that it is so fake** When the receipt already came out and I already put it into my pocket and was on my way out. I said to the self-check-out woman "the receipt already came out" and I walked away. She came over finally looked at the machine and said he's already paid. I love this country but this country has serious issues with Anti-Asian Americans i just realize that now especially for California. This is the second time I had an issue with this store less than a year. For all the Asian Americans remember you pay your taxes, and why would you support a store that does not respect you for your race or gender/disability or anything else? I will make sure my family and all my friends will never shop at Vons again. I love Ralphs they support LGBTQ, this Vons they just want your money and doesn't respect you what the heck!

I have been coming to this store since they first opened, I must say that the employees might have changed over the years but not the cleanliness of the store and the items of the store being properly located. I would like to Especially thank Erica the store manager who had Always lead by example. It is employees like her who make you want to continue to be a loyal customer. Erica has been located at this store for 12 years and never displayed nothing but a positive attitude no matter the crowd size you can always count on a nice and professional attitude. Please always keep up the good work. It is employees like Erica who always make you want to come back and shop at this location.

One of the worst Vons experiences I've ever had in 30 years of grocery shopping! I strongly recommend going to a different location. There's just too much to get into it. This is not the 1st time I've had a bad experience at this location. I have had several. However I will say they lie about their closing time, they say they go by "Vons" time which I don't know what that is, but everybody else goes by a standard time .they close 10 minutes before their actual closing time. meaning they shut down the registers early.The final straw was that they charged me for 4 bags and didn't give them to me!

They have made improvements to service in the last year but us still held back by carrying too many niche items i guess their purchasing folks like. Most shoppers want good selection, logical store layout that doesnt change every month and good overall prices. They still hang on vons club if you want a decent price so you can support their buying habits based eco system and they can track your every purchase and return. Their produce is good and their bakery passable though its selection has diminished. Its ok for a local market.

It's big. It's convenient. It's better than the one at community Rd and Poway Rd. It's clean and well-organized. It has bathrooms and a good amount of parking. It is nice that it is in a center with other shops: CVS, Jack in the box, bank of America, starbucks, etc. There is a Starbucks inside the Vons, as well. The prices are reasonable and although I don't like the color of the staff shirts (lime green, what is that!?!) the staff themselves are usually helpful, knowledgeable and friendly

I'm just posting a review on Von's fried chicken that I bought last week. I dont know what happened to the recipe, but the breading was so nasty, like salted cardboard. I re-purposed the breasts just not to waste and threw the rest away. Can't you just dredge the parts in seasoned flour and fry??! This is the 2nd time I've bought chicken here, and I don't think I'll do it again. Better off driving to Stater Brothers in Poway; a longer drive, but I won't waste food.

Disappointed that they are not doing more to make store safe. The carts are not being cleaned from what I could tell, and I couldn't find any wipes. The website says that pickup is available, but for the last 1 1/2 weeks I haven't been able set up a day/time. I called and was told that pickup has been suspended temporarily. Sure would be nice if the website indicated that. I asked in the store, and they had no idea what was going on.

I always go to a vons when it comes to lunch. The food is always fresh and delicious. Many options to choose from from fried or baked chicken. Also a majority of cold pastas or salads. This is a great option if you get tired of the fast food life. You will come to find it is way cheaper if you get the meal. Very filling I would recommend to anyone with a big appetite. Best times to yo are before 11am.

Nice community supermarket with everything you need available. Prices are overmarked and you get discounts if you sign up for vons membership. I don't get this because you could just go up to the cashier and ask for a new vons card everytime.. Anyways, I would watch out for fungus on tomatoes and apples. Other veggies and fruits seem ok. Greens are pretty fresh and comparable to whole foods.

The store is clean. The look is a little mismatched but that's mainly due to the remodeling going down there. It has everything in the area it should be (rice near the Asian foods) and the in-store Starbucks has people who get to know you and make it easier to order by sometimes saying what you usually order back to the point where you just have to say "yes" and pay.

Went to get groceries while I am in town for work. There machine glitched and did not print my receipt. When I tried to get a receipt because my company pays me back for groceries when I am away on work, Vons could not print a receipt for me. I lost $80 because of this and will never encourage business at VONS again when I am traveling with coworkers.

Overall a good Vons, average for being stocked. Sale stuff is hit or miss. Not too busy on the weekends. However, cleanliness and service levels have dropped in the last 6-12 months. No one is bringing carts back to the front, they are all over the parking lot, the outdoor displays are not kept up and inside aisles/floors are more dirty than normal.

This Vons is always clean and full of variety. I also use their curbside pickup frequently and have to day that their service is the absolute best. They are always the absolute fastest and most reliable curbside service. Not to mention how courteous and outstanding their employees are. This is definitely my favorite Vons store!

The store had freshly moved everything around and changed the groupings. It takes a lot longer to get in and get what you need. I understand that they want customers to walk around and see more stuff to buy, but who wants to spend 2 hrs searching for thier normal grocery items when normally it would take 30 minutes or less?

This is a great grocery shopping destination. I like that there is a pharmacy located inside this grocery store. The employees were nice and helpful. The store is kept stocked, clean and organized. This is definitely my go to grocery store when I'm in the area. They even had my orthopedic shoe inserts I need cuz the gout.

Clean store, friendly staff. You can get pretty much everything you need here, plus there's a Starbucks kiosk inside! The store was recently renovated and looks refreshingly modern. There’s always a great selection and with the remodel, items are easier to find. There’s always plenty parking and plenty of great deals.

This store is great, very clean and organized. You are able to find everything in its place almost always, they have it stocked well and the bakery has fresh bread out every time i go there. Staff is super friendly and helpful, I go out of my way and drive an extra 15 minutes to shop here because of the experience.

Great customer service. I made the mistake of grabbing a basket instead of a cart and as I'm reaching the end of my visit, my basket starts getting crazy full and heavy... one of the store mgrs sees this and offers to carry my basket to the register for me! We love this Vons. We go once a week always on the same day around the same time so you tend to see the same staff members, they are always nice and remember my two girls and greet them with stickers. And to make the trip less of a chore with two small children the bakery will give each child a free cookie …

Its a standard Vons. Think Safeway, Kroger, or Albertsons. Prices seem to be a bit higher than other Vons that I have been too. The neighborhood surrounding it is a bit more affluent which might explain the price hike. Very good beer selection for a typical grocery store. Parking is pretty easy.

If I need to pick up something real quick, vons comes through. Self checkout is pretty quick. Even if regular lines look long, store associates help it go faster. They keep stocked pretty well, although covid times can keep paper goods off shelves. They do their best.

Been going here my entire life. The place is old and a bit smaller than other stores but it has everything I need and the prices are fair. I like that they don't have a self checkout too. They are a big employer for kids looking for their first job in this community.

Made an appointment for a flew shot. Arrived early to fill out the forms. Received nit even a glance. 20 minutes after reading appointed time I had to leave for my commitments. I assume prescriptions 1st priority, 2nd & 3rd vaccinations customer acknowledgement

Great bakery selection, you can get a massive tray of cookies for $5 They also have a gluten free section as well as an organic section. Don't forget to use your Vons Card to take advantage of the discounts as well as fuel points. Redbox located inside.

This store is poorly stocked and you will find many of the shelves empty for essential items during peak hours during the evening. I have not experienced this at other Vons location. This specific store seems to do a terrible job of stocking shelves.

In general, prices are high for General groceries and drugstore type products however, if there are specials and you are a Vons member you get phenomenal deals. Great if you're shopping for the specials only. Also a great place for money orders.

One of the cleaner grocery stores. The Vons on Mira Mesa is closer to my residence but it is no where near as clean as this store. I pose you this question...why would you by food from a dirty grocery store???... you wouldn't.

I live this Vons, They are amazing and friendly and a real part of the neighborhood. They help the community and if you need something that not in stuck they will get it for you. I even have my favorite Cashier to go too.

This place was big, clean and busy. The only thing, at least for me, it just was different. It felt greedy, too businessy (micro-managed), too controlled, too neat, non-inviting and not homey more robotic!

It's a typical Vons, but this place has the worst lines I've ever seen. 10 carts deep, and they won't open up more registers. Hope you like waiting 20 minutes in checkout line. Literally 20+ minutes.

I love our neighborhood Vons. Ample parking, very clean, and polite staff. Especially Lisa, her positive attitude is infectious. Lines are normally short and they carry all the big name brand items.

Very clean. I make a trip here to purchase my weekly bouquets. The flower arrangements and selections are the best in town. Groceries, however, are a little pricey over here.

Very patient and courteous staff despite some customers’ ingratitude. As of the last week of March, many items are re-stocked; however not TP nor distilled water.

Only 1 checkstand open and 3 of 4 self checkouts had "not in use" signs. I haven't been to a Vons or Albertsons with decent customer service since they merged.

It is my favorite because it is easy to park and a bit quicker to get shopping done, as it is somewhat smaller than other Vons...my neighborhood destination.

Friendly cashiers, deli staff usually grumpy but items usually in stock and ample checkout lines open. Would love it if they got more self check out kiosks.
