5 stars for the store. It’s great, clean and the workers are always friendly. The negative review is for the pharmacy. Here is the review I left on the pharmacy’s but wanted to make sure it’s scene by management because there is no responses to the pharmacy’s reviews: The workers are nice but the manager is extremely rude and acts is if her time is so precious she doesn’t have time to talk. I was told on my previous prescription fill to call ahead to make sure they can fill it. She didn’t even hear me out on the phone before shutting me down and telling me that they would call back when my prescription is ready. Was told they were TOO busy with covid vaccines to talk to me on the phone. So I drove to the pharmacy to state my concerns. No one was getting any shots and no one was at the pharmacy, not surprised. I was speaking with one of the workers and instead of talking to me, the manager talked to the worker over her shoulder to relay the same message I was told over the phone. Now will be waiting all day to hear back from them and a chance I will not be able to fill my full prescription anyways. Just an disgusting lack of professionalism in a career meant to be about helping people. Update: I get back to the house not 10 mins later and I get a call saying it’s filled and I can pick it up after 1. So they gave me just enough time to leave so I would have to come back. Just awful.

I just left Vons & it was a circus.. Bonnie (cashier) tells Manny (carts/bagger) to hurry up & clock in because they need him.. Manny says he wanted to buy something before clocking in (he does so).. at 11:01 am Bonnie gets on the intercom and says "Manny it is 11:01 hurry up & clock in!".. as a customer I don't think we should be hearing this type of unprofessionalism.. I go to Bonnie's line & the lady she is checking out says "I am going to pay so you guys can finish your conversation "Bonnie and Manny were going back & forth in front of customers".. I ask her for her name, she replies Bonnie.. I walk away & she yells out to me twice "why do you need my name?".. I have another employee call the manager.. Trish comes up & I explain to her what happened! Trish asked me "Who are you to Manny?" (Why would that matter?" Another customer in a different line from Bonnie walks by me & Trish & says it was real unprofessional! (So I was not the only one uncomfortable) Bonnie yells out to me "Are you Manny's life coach?" in front of Trish and my husband.. This is big issue.. Not only does she feel comfortable harassing other employees, she is comfortable with arguing with paying customers! I truly hope the next time I am in the store Bonnie is on her best behavior!

Easy to get too, really clean and friendly staff, great as a grocery store. Produce looks fresh, and deli options looked and smelled delicious. Plenty of parking and handicapable options My only disappointment was the Starbucks. I can specifically to this store for the Starbucks located inside. Although the staff was super friendly I was really put off when I ordered first and then said I was going to check out and would be back to grab my drinks. I ordered first so my drinks would be ready as I was trying to be fast as possible. My husband and twin two year olds were waiting in the car. The worker decided to make the two peoples drinks behind me first, so when I finished checking out and came to grab our drinks, they still were not even started :/ this would not be a huge deal I’m quick to get over little stuff like that, but then I left in a hurry after getting my drinks only to realize that my vanilla iced coffee had zero vanilla in it. :( when you pay $4 for a cup of coffee you want it to be right, I know I did not have time to drive back. Thankful the Starbucks we passed and stopped at took care of us for free. Moral: go here for groceries, go to a real Starbucks for coffee.

Updated 11/20/2022: Von's card also works at Albertsons. But Von's has Friday special prices you can take advantage of. Updated 4/16/2022: Self scan kiosks/terminals have been upgraded. Can use handheld wireless scanner for bulky items. Well done. Updated 4/29/2019: Received prompt response from store manager at local Vons. They have assigned more personnel to the Deli to help customers. Really appreciate the personal touch. Cannot complain. Highly recommend. Updated 4/23/2019: Deli needs more personnel during busy hours and better service. I was there around 6.45 pm to get some items. 3 people waiting before me. Only one server. Took about 20 minutes before he got to me only to let me know they were out of the item I wanted. No signs on the counter to let any customer know that they were waiting for nothing. One customer behind me asked before he left if they were out of the item (fried/baked chicken). This is a routine occurrence. People are busy and quite a few pick up food items from the deli before heading home. They do not want to waste time for nothing. Previous Review: Good savings using the Vons card. Also, Fab 5 mix and match items gives you discounted prices.

There was an older employee who was checking out items for herself around 9PM when we were there buying ice cream on 11/19 complaining that she had been there since 10AM. Myself, and another customer at another Kiosk needed help, and she actually started mouthing off to the other customer. I was actually shocked. I wasn’t offended in anyway shape or form because she wasn’t being a smarta$$ towards me, but even if you’re off the clock or stressed, you can’t say “I don’t care about your problems, they’re not my problems. Go to hell.” is not the most tactful thing to say even if you’re off duty. Management you can look at the cameras and I was a guy in my 30’s with my 18 year old niece and 15 year old nephew and we bought about $50 worth of ice cream (6 pints or so) so we’ll be easy to find on the cameras to figure out who the staff member was. ***Please note there was a younger dark haired staff member who came and helped us after a few minutes… the old lady was thw one in the feed who made your store look terrible by yelling at the other group of people. Not the associate who helped us.

Seems understaffed and management doesn't show any concern to protect staff from theft and overly aggressive customers. Staff appears over worked and the overall environment has lost the neighborhood market feel. Management should walk the grounds more to understand the nature of their stores condition and overall missing the mark on Vons mission statement to earn the loyalty of the people you serve by first anticipating, then fulfilling OUR needs with superior-quality products, a unique shopping experience, CUSTOMER-focused service and continuous innovation, while generating LONG-term PROFITABLE growth for your shareholders. One ⭐ only to gain attention. Willing to change with changes.

I’m an Uber shopper. I had an order from a customer. I checked everywhere for one of items and could not find it. So I asked for help. None of the staffed helped me. Then I told catchier and she called the manager. His name is Josh. He came but angry. I told him that I checked everywhere and I need help to find that item. He was not friendly and left.while he was not busy. At the check out I saw him standing over there chatting and laughing with a lady. The manager Josh is so rude. They’re supposed to help customers but their customer service is awful.

Really bad service today at the meat department. It's 3 days before Christmas and they were done cutting filet mignons at 3 o'clock. The ones they had out there were too small. He would not cut me more. I Will never shop at vons again. I got a very canned response. I went somewhere else and got much better service. Why would I contact vons if you can't cut another piece of meat for someone to have a nice Christmas dinner a******. I will not contact us on your website I just will never come back

Honestly, I didn't like their customer service, I have transferred money from Western Union, and they tried push me to do it in another location, maybe because they are busy Or the employee didn't like todo it, but both of them NOT AN EXCUSE TO REJECT A CUSTOMER AS WELL AS BUSINESS IT WILL ADDED A PROFITS TO YOUR STORE . This is my neighborhood vons so I shop here all the time, weekly. Anyways, the 2 women in the deli are not nice and must hate their jobs. They are rude not to just me but the few people they helped before me too. It's a older woman with grey hair and a younger woman with blonde hair. They have no customer service skills whatsoever. I was going to order 2 sandwiches, fried chicken, and sides but I just had to walk away.

The employee working in produce was an absolute jerk. The guy looked to be about 46 had a green and white striped Christmas sweater on. I do food delivery and he literally walked by me and told me to get out the way. I’m also a customer at the store and I guarantee you if I’ve been shopping he would not have had the balls to speak to me that way. You should teach your employees to be respectful to other people.

I haven't shopped at Vons in forever. They dont have them where I'm from. Really enjoyed the shopping trip today. Everything looked so good of course I over bought. But it all looked so good and I was hungry. Lol. They had everything I needed except canned yams but then again maybe none of the stores around here have them. Who cares, the canned sweet potatoes will work for what I'm making for Thanksgiving.

The store was very clean and workers were helpful. I went in to purchase a dessert and let me tell you that the Bakery did not disappoint. I walked up to the dessert/cake case and I could not believe the talent of the bakers! Everything looked delicious and it was really difficult to choose. I was so impressed I started taking pics of the cakes for future reference for birthdays etc. Well done Vons!

Vons is okay as chain grocery stores go. Like most major stores it's expensive. The store is kept neat and well stocked. Bakery and service deli are okay. It has a large floral department and a pharmacy. Parking lot is large & usually busy. The staff are nice but the biggest drawback is the dungeon-like atmosphere. The store is very dark and always cold.

Good value for the Vons 4 U Program. Saved $30 using Vons 4 U for advertised products. Sometimes, when the digital coupons don't work, the managers/cashiers usually apply the discounts manually. Inflation is taking a bite out of everyone right now. Trying to save on groceries by using their rewards program is helping a bit.

Hi I appreciate the pick up service, but you guys really need to stop bagging fresh fruit with raw meat, please. I often order the precut fruit and it has been packaged with raw chicken and today raw beef. I’ll pay the extra .10c if it means my fruit doesn’t get bagged with potential food borne illness. Thank you so much.

The bakery at this Vons was so helpful and did such a wonderful job on a Wonder Woman sheet cake and a matching small 5” round cake for my daughters first birthday! We stopped by and talked to the cake decorator about what we wanted and she went above and beyond for us! We were so happy with her efforts! Thank you Vons!

One of the few stores still selling dry ice. First employee pointed me to the container (it was locked). Second employee told me I had to pay first. Cashier said she needed the package to weigh in order to ring it up. A rather painful process but I got my dry ice to refill the CO2 in my Soda Stream cannisters.

This the most unorganized store I have ever been in. Everytime I shop at Vons, there are lines going all the way down aisles. It's either very lazy workers or very lazy management or both. Vons is not a good store. Vons is unorganized. Vons waits until lines are down the aisle before Vons opens registers.

Very very helpful staff! The best and friendliest of every Vons that I've visited over the years. One item I wanted was not in stock and they made accommodations for me. Also... they have English Bangers, although probably not today after I cleared out their shelves ;-) and parking is usually easy.

Vons has great selections at all times and pretty helpful. However, I’ve noticed the DELI SERVERS are RUDE!! They don’t smile or have any personality! When a server is unhappy with their job find another one! If you don’t like serving the public leave!

Bakery- I got 24 cupcakes and chocolate fudge little cake for my daughter birthday. It was perfectly made and I got the design I wanted. Fudge chocolate cake was very good. This bakery in RB makes the great design and price is very reasonable

I like it because they have a Starbucks. It is also very clear with great order. You can find just about everything you are looking for. I was impressed about the isle spaces. You can move easily without feeling confined. Great place

It’s very inconvenient to return when you purchase using Apple Pay. Store cashier can return fund only to physical card. So I had buy something else and do the exchange. Why is the point of Apple Pay when I have to carry actual card?

The staff were knowledgeable and attentive and the fresh vegetables were too die for. I was truly happy that I stopped by the Dell as they have a vast selection of meats and cheeses. I'd highly recommend the Vons in Rancho Bernardo.

Love this Vons!! The prepared foods are amazing . They have a wonderful and friendly team of associates working there. Always treated with courtesy and respect when I shop there. The lines move fast and everyone is so friendly.

Staff is friendly. Store is clean. There are always very long lines and employees do not open registers. Many elderly people are forced to wait in long lines. They know their busiest times and they should be more prepared.
