We went there to pick up photo prints that I ordered online. I thought it was just going to be a smooth transaction but this employee named Macy(?) (the receipt says Melissa though) was so, so rude to us. She’s a little thin, brown-skinned, and curly haired. There was a mixup because I thought I had already paid for the photos online given that I already entered my credit card info prior to going to the store. Apparently, we still had to pay for it in store which was no problem for us. The employee, however, treated me and my husband like we were poor people who couldn’t even afford $17!! She even snatched the photos away and placed it behind the register while shaking her head and saying something like “there are no free things yadda yadda”. That was the worst customer experience I have ever had in my whole life. I have never felt so belittled not to mention it was just at a Walgreens! She was even rude to her fellow employee! I am, however, thankful to Jasmine who actually helped us. (And sorry Jasmine because you have to put up with somebody like that at work.) Furthermore, I am never going back to that location nor to any Walgreens. I’ll stick to my usual CVS.

Say what you like about the other pharmacies in the immediate area, but this one has hydrogen peroxide in stock in both sizes. Neither the nearby CVS nor any of the others currently have this staple essential item in stock. The store is clean, uncrowded, and well stocked. I was very happy to come here after relegating it to third choice because of the parlous this particular Walgreens seems to have attracted. I rate it more highly than the CVS for sure. They also had a number of generic over the counter drugs in stock at lower prices than the CVS. I don't really want to be plugging Walgreens but this was my experience today.
I went in there last Tuesday to inquire about getting a raid Covid test. I was in a family medical emergency crisis and needed a rapid test to be admitted to the housing for my family. The pharmacy tech was super sweet and kind but the pharmacist was rude an disrespectful. It was before 5:00 p.m. she refused to give me a test. She refused to help me find another Walgreens to go to. Since I’m not from Houston, I am not familiar with other Walgreens. I’m sorry that she was is a bad mood but I needed help. I will not ever walk back into that store. Walgreens you can do better than that. So sad.
Came here with my friend to get her vaccines. We got taken in on time. Not necessarily the nicest or kindest nurse practitioner. And a little bit rude at time. We know what she needed, but she kept saying we were wrong and why doesn't anyone have records of their stuff. Reason being is some of us come from countries that don't have records or don't keep them. We had to repeat it 4 times. I would suggest going to the Missouri city location and getting the vaccines or other health needs taken care of there. As my husband had a better experience.
I've been shopping at this Walgreens since I moved to the Rice Village area over 4 years ago. The staff is amazing! Rachel is the ABSOLUTE best. She and another staff member (I can't recall her name) greeted me as if I was family each and every visit. Issac and Emerson are also wonderful and ALL provide exceptional service. It was always a pleasure shopping there whether picking up photos, prescriptions or laundry detergent. This is a great neighborhood store! Rachel, you have a great staff!
If I could rate 0/5 I would. The pharmacy and clinic staff aren't just unhelpful, it seems like they actively work against you to make any customer's day worse. The clinic doctor especially has an attitude like you're just wasting her time. The only reason I would ever go to this Walgreens again is to let the pharmacy and clinic staff know how much I hate them in person. Do not go to this Walgreens if you expect any sort of decent customer service from your pharmacy/clinic.
Pharmacy needs to learn to not have an attitude. I called to correct my insurance for billing and they want to charge me with insurance that is inactive for months and tell me I’m wrong. I have been to Drs offices, hospitals and saw the insurance website itself tell me it’s inactive and I’m trying to give them the proper card information and she wants to argue. How does that help the patient? Stop being lazy and rude and recheck your system.
Absolutely terrible experience at the pharmacy. Making an appointment (that’s required for testing) is pointless if the person in front of you in the drive-thru takes longer than 5 minutes. I waited in line for 40 minutes to be told that I cannot receive a test due to “being late” even though I was 5 minutes early. She asked if I wanted to reschedule but for what? For the same thing to happen again? Do not waste your time at this location.
Will absolutely NOT step foot in this Walgreens location again. Their employee today was rude, condescending and just straight up has a stank attitude towards an autistic person. Young lady wearing braids at the register on Sunday , July 23rd afternoon shift. She needs training not only at her place of work but at home. It’s no wonder she’s working behind a cash register an attitude like hers who get you anywhere DO BETTER WALGREENS
Horrible. Took over 25 min to get through 2 cars in the drive through. Threw in the towel and went inside even though I probably shouldn't have been walking. They were too busy arguing about closing duties and other things instead of focusing on getting the medicine for the guy in pain. They kept me waiting for about 7 min until I had to ask what was taking so long. No proactive communication with the customer. Going back to CVS
Okay customer service. Not great but not the worst either. Be aware, when they say they will text or email you that your prescription is ready to pick up, if there are more than one, it could be anyone, and not that they are already. They will text you when one is available and you will sit and wait for the rest. They won't make any special effort to get the rest of yours ready faster even though they texted you to come.
After a very stressful day at work, all I wanted was a glass of white wine. I stopped at this Walgreens by pure convenience. When I got to the drink fridge I couldn't find any chilled white wine. I asked the cashier if she knew if they had any stored in the back and her response was: "Why do you want cold? It taste bad. Go drink something else". I politely handed her a six pack of beer, paid, and walked away.
I am in Houston for Christmas and New Year. I failed to renew a prescription in time and went in to talk to the pharmacy employees about getting a renewal. There were no more refills so this whole process was more complicated than usual. The help I got from EVERYONE in this store was exceptional, especially the young woman in the pharmacy. I do wish I could remember her name because she was exceptional.
This is the worst Walgreens I have ever been to. I have dropped off disposable cameras twice in the past month and both times (photos are "guaranteed" to be in by the following Sunday or Thursday) I have come 3 weeks later finally expecting pictures and seen that my camera had not been sent off. The pharmacy employees are rude, and the floor employees are NOT helpful. I would give zero stars if I could.
Do not come here for your vaccines or your prescription. They’re understaffed and you will wait 30 + minutes for vaccine while they focus on helping patients who come through the drive through. Don’t waste your time!!! If could post a second review about how awful this pharmacy is, I would!!! I went to pick medications and left after an hour of waiting while they chit chat in the back!!!
This store is always clean and has everything I need and want in stock. The staff is helpful and they give lots of freebies to you if you shop from the beauty section and make your purchases there. I've had a couple of flu shots done here and they are discrete about it. They bring you into a side area where no one else is and I've hardly even noticed the shot. I recommend this location.
The pharmacy staff are always backed up with work . Not sure what they will be doing , even with an appointment they will make you wait for an hour . Then what is the point of getting an appointment . They shouldn’t schedule any appointments if they can’t do it . They just show all open spots but can’t accommodate people even with appointments forget about walk ins .
This is the worst Walgreens location I've ever been to. The pharmacy staff make it seem as though their last priority is you. Even when I come to simply pick up my medication (which for some reason they will not ever fill within one day even though I can wait 10 mins for a prescription refill at other Walgreens) I will always spend 10-15 minutes waiting.
Wouldn't let me get a flu shot without an appointment. I go to the one on chimney Rock and they let me get a flu shot without an appointment. Wouldn't accept my VA insurance. Again, I went to the Walgreens on chimney Rock. They said Walgreens do accept VA insurance. Either these people at the pharmacy are lazy or they don't know what they are doing.
A lot of bad reviews here but mine is exactly the opposite. Donnell and Michelle were great! Michelle spent the time with me doing my make up and matching my color. Donnell gave my son some candy while he was in there. He was super sweet and so was Michelle. Best experience I've had at a Walgreens. They went above and beyond.
If I could give zero stars I would. Very poorly run pharmacy. Never not waited under an hour in here. DO NOT GET A SHOT HERE. Shots have never bothered me then I went here. My arm is black and blue because the lady who gave it to me stabbed it and was NOT gentle at all. Horrible experience.. Just go to a different Walgreens.
Yall. Deadass don't order nothing from here ... that be pictures, medicine or online orders. Some senior staff here don't like their job so it's reflected among customers & staff. I witnessed some nagging & yelling among staff within the 1st 5 minutes I was there. So ... this place needs self checkout ASAP.
Employees aren’t helpful and the manager is even worse. Took me half an hour to get what I came there for, which wasn’t even correct but by that time I was so tired of these incompetent people that I just accepted it. These people are notorious at this point for how awful their customer service is.
I made an appointment online, only to be told that staff at the clinic did not actually accept appointments from their website--had to fill out all my paperwork twice and wait a long time. Nice staff, but there's a bait and switch going on with the promise of quick, timely appointments.
Booked an appointment online for receiving mmr vaccine. After fill in the form, they suddenly told me that they are out of stock of the vaccine. Totally unreasonable and pushing my appointment one hour later which doesn't suits my schedule. Will never come to this pharmacy again.
had problems with this place again... had appointment to get flu shot with Pharmacy but pharmacist says that’s done by health clinic. waited 40 minutes for health clinic & she said my appointment was with pharmacy (where I originally went)! Go anywhere else but here!
I had an appointment for 4:50 and was signing in my son at 4:45 at the kiosk like the nurse working told me I needed to do. Some guy walks and says I have an appointment for my girls at 5 and 5:15 but we’re here now. So, now I’m just waiting here. I’m leaving now.
Went to get passport photos taken. Asked fro price. $18.99 for 2 photos. Additonal two photos is also $18.99 according to staff. Lol. What a riipoff. At CVS, it’s only$16.99 for the first two photos and only $2.99 for the additional two photos.
Fantastic experience. Great service tonight at the Pharmacy! The pharm tech went out of her way to save me $25 on my prescription by finding and activating a coupon for me. Very taken back by the gesture. Got my scrip very quickly thereafter.
I needed to use the restroom and I buy some pain killers. The cashier told me he couldn’t open the restroom for me because they closed… I mean you are closing in 10 minutes…. I decided to NOT BUY FROM THEM AND I WILL NEVER EVER COME AGAIN.
Typical Walgreens. Horrible and lazy service. Called to check if pictures were completed prior to leaving house. Was told they were ready. Arrived to find they hadn’t started printing. Being lied to is not way to run businesses.
Awful. Spent 2 hrs for a very basic thing at the clinic and pharmacy despite an appointment. STOP OVERBOOKING YOUR APPOINTMENTS. PEOPLE ARE SICK ANS SHOULDN'T HAVE TO WAIT IN PAIN FOR THAT LONG IF THEY PLAN AHEAD.
Great front desk staff, but the pharmacy is poorly managed and today they shut the gate on me while I was standing in front of the door 7 minutes early. Who know if they can help you or not, seems like a gamble.
I love Walgreens, but this location's pharmacy is consistently very slow and has incorrectly processed my insurance multiple times. Save yourself a headache and go down the road to the Buffalo Speedway location.

There’s absolutely no urgency on part of the employees. A woman had to go up to the window to remind a pharm tech that she was on the clock. Just an overall terrible place for timeliness

The pharmacy lost one of my prescriptions (paper) that i dropped off. Had to go through process of trying to get my doctor to call in and re do. Huge hassle.

Every staff member seems very relaxed, friendly, and helpful. I enjoy being greeted when I walk in, instead of being looked at like a monkey in a zoo.
Very rude lady always makes an excuse for not to take a passport photo. Last year I did it without problems with a different (and very kind) manager.
