"Great tour! It is different from the other tours in that food isn't bundled into the price so you choose what you eat"
"We had the best time on this walking tour, even though it rained through part of it! Our guide, Kevin, was very informative, not only about the local food, but about history and he tied it all in very well"
"Highly recommend doing this while in Dublin! Kevin and Aoife are passionate about what they do: the culture and the food and made the perfect mix between the two"
"When I decided to do the Beer Walking Tour, I hoped to not only get to know cool pubs and drink good beer, but also learn about the culture and get some more insight - in other words, I didn't want to do a tour where it's just about drinking"
"Absolutely Fantastic! I wish there were more than 5 stars because Walking Food Tours definitely deserves more! Kevin was an awesome tour guide"
Great tour! It is different from the other tours in that food isn't bundled into the price so you choose what you eat. We found that if we followed Kevin's recommendations and split each of the snacks between two of us the total cost for the food came to a little over 20 euros each. Good value! All of the recommendations were delicious. I've lived in Dublin for a few years and learned some new locations in the Liberties and tried some great new food. The restaurants that I had visited before were places that I have definitely thought to take visitors in the past. The tour is a good mix of food, history, and culture. It's quite relaxed and really an opportunity to meet people. The tour begins in the Liberties so there is quite a bit about Guinness in the first part. I've been on the Guinness tour, and that's good, but I found it to be more meaningful to walk down the streets and by the buildings as I learned about them rather than from a window. Kevin and Aoife are both wonderful guides and were very accommodating and helpful when it came to other recommendations about things to do around the city after the tour. Highly recommended!

We had the best time on this walking tour, even though it rained through part of it! Our guide, Kevin, was very informative, not only about the local food, but about history and he tied it all in very well. He is also very entertaining, we were delighted with the entire tour. We especially loved that fact that he taught us about Ballymaloe Relish! It is indeed delicious and we bought some at the airport on our way out to give to friends. #BallyMaloeRelish #BallyMaloe #BallyMaloeFood, you really need to make Kevin a spokesperson! The food on the tour was so delicious and we had to purchase it but it was not very expensive at all and honestly, it was more than we could eat. If you go with a group, you could feed 4 persons on one serving and I am not exaggerating! It was all so good, we went back the next day for more. You really need to take this tour, you will get more history than a tour without the delicious food so why not?

Highly recommend doing this while in Dublin! Kevin and Aoife are passionate about what they do: the culture and the food and made the perfect mix between the two. They will tell you a lot about the history, the activities to do, to things to see, the places to go. They will walk you trough the small streets of the city and bring you to 5 different stops, with each their own specialties. Kevin suggests the food to choose from, and it didn’t disappoint! From salty to sweet, you’ll get a variation of flavors with each dish. I would advise doing the tour at the beginning of the trip, so you can have a little pre-view of everything and get their advice for activities and the things to do and see. We did it on our last day, but it was the best way to end our little citytrip before going home. We really enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks again for this awesome tour! :) Alexane & Tayane, from Belgium

When I decided to do the Beer Walking Tour, I hoped to not only get to know cool pubs and drink good beer, but also learn about the culture and get some more insight - in other words, I didn't want to do a tour where it's just about drinking. The tour with Kevin was exactly what we were looking for. Kevin shared so many things with us, answered countless questions and in addition he showed us cool pubs including a drink recommendation at each pub! I also think it's really cool that everyone buys their own drinks. So you could drink whatever you wanted (even if Kevin recommended something different) and it didn't become a standard pub crawl tour where it's all about drinking. Kevin's tours are more than that and I can only recommend them to everyone! Great person, with great stories and good recommendations! We will definitely be back!

Absolutely Fantastic! I wish there were more than 5 stars because Walking Food Tours definitely deserves more! Kevin was an awesome tour guide. He had so much information to share and did not shy away from our wild questions. I participated in one of Kevin's tours with a group from my school. Since arriving in Ireland, multiple of us were struggling with eating. We struggled to find places outside the international chains that served food we were willing to eat and that fueled us for our busy itinerary. On this tour we were introduced to so many amazing eating stops and tried things we never thought we would. We revisited a couple of the stops on the tour before we left and probably would have hit them all if we had time. After this tour, we knew what to look for on menus and what places were the best. Thanks Kevin!

Did the 'Food on Foot' tour which was led by the convivial and very knowledgeable Kevin. Excellent tour - I'd highly recommend. Good pace visiting five venues you're unlikely to discover on your own - including Dublin's oldest fish and chip shop. Food is not included which means you can get involved when you want. Kicking off the walk from St Catherine's and straight into the Guinness grounds, Kevin was able to impart why Guinness is so important to the history of Dubin and been a major contributor to the country's economy for centuries. The brewery provided jobs for thousands of people and helped to drive economic growth in Dublin and other parts of Ireland. The walking tour finishes off in the Temple Bar area so perfect for exploring this part of town and the city centre. Excellent value for money.

This tour was absolutely brilliant!! My partner, two friends and I had the most amazing time. We learnt sooo much about the food around the city. It was our first time in Dublin. We did this tour when we first arrived into the city and it really helped us learn not only about food, about the history of Dublin (food related) but also how to navigate the city. Kevin is so so passionate and he makes the tour incredibly fun. I do walking tours in all countries I visit and this was by far one of the best (as well as the drinking tour). Kevin was also so helpful when we showed him our agenda/ what we would like to do and he was able to recommend different plans/ restaurants/ pubs / activities. What an experience!! Thanks Kevin!

Kevin was a fantastic guide. He’s a wealth of knowledge, not just about food but about the history and stories of the city. Even with overcast skies and a few sprinkles I would have happily snacked my way through ANOTHER two hours, lol! What I particularly loved was that Kevin will switch and swap up stops based upon new shops popping up or hidden gems that become available. With the Liberties district in constant change, it’s nice to know you’re getting the best no matter when you visit. Also, there’s no business partnerships between Walking Food Tours and the restaurants, so it’s completely non-biased pickings. On our tour: a coffee/sausage roll, a sandwich shop, a fish&chippy, and two different dessert shops! (No names, go on the tour and taste for yourself!) Loved it.
THIS TOUR IS A MUST!!!! It’s fantastic for solo travelers as well as groups of people. I was instantly intrigued as Kevin started the tour with some powerful Irish history before making our first stop for some delicious food. It was the perfect balance of exploring the history of the city and finding the best hidden food spots. I traveled through Ireland for 3 weeks and this was by far the best tour and food I had the entire time here. Make sure you come hungry and share your portions with others on the tour!! The true uniqueness of this tour comes from the passion, kindness, and knowledge that Kevin and his wife, Aoife had to offer. It’s clear they care about people and their city and they have created the perfect experience that will be memorable forever !!

I went on this tour with my son (25) while Dad did his own thing. Best choice we made! We had an EXCELLENT guide and I really wish I remembered his name (Steve?) I hadn't expected the tour to include a history lesson but was pleasantly surprised not only to gain the knowledge but to have it delivered in such an enjoyable manner. Thank you for truly making this an experience to remember!! I like how the tour allows you to make your own food choices rather than a set menu. We enjoyed a breakfast spot, a lunch spot and a couple of desserts. Definitely take the suggestion to split the food offerings with a friend! Well, maybe all except the ice cream! ;-)

We did this tour a few weeks ago, have been meaning to review sooner, but better late than never! This tour was probably the most authentic city tour we have ever done. It gave great insight into how it would feel to live in Dublin, both now, and in the past. Kevin was a lovely friendly guy, endlessly patient in answering all questions from the group. The food on the tour was down to earth, but superb. Overall the tour offered excellent value for money, given the length and quality of the experience. I would heartily recommend this trip, as it made our visit to Dublin. Many thanks to Kevin, we enjoyed it immensely.

Kevin is a star! Shame we can't give him more than 5 stars. It was a great tour, with amazing food in places that are not touristy. You can see and feel Kevin loves not only traditional food, but also his city. It was such a pleasure walking around the city with him and finding all these great places with such tasty food! We are still sad because we could not book the drinks tour as it was fully booked! Remember: before you even take a bite to eat in Dublin, take Kevin's tour! He is so nice that he even recommended other restaurants for us to try in Dublin, and they proved to be fantastic! Thanks so much, Kevin!

Absolutely loved this tour! 10/10 would recommend. The tour guide (Kevin) offers a locals perspective to street food around old Dublin. We encountered no other tour groups while on our journey, so you know it truly was a locals perspective. Between stops you receive stories and tips for making the most of your visit to Ireland. I would recommend making this one of your first tours, because he offers so much insight on how to authentically see this country. I only wish I had more time here to visit all the recommendations Kevin made! If you are touring on a weekend, be sure to book in advance. Cheers!

We visited Dublin in April and this walking tour was a highlight of our trip. Kevin shared so much history while we walked, and we learned about beer, whiskey, food and politics. He also made recommendations of restaurants and pubs we should visit after the tour and we went to two of them and they were fantastic! The food along the tour was delicious and there was no pressure to buy—just recommendations of things to try at each place. This was perfect for a person with food allergies who has to choose carefully from each menu. Would definitely do it again when we return to Dublin!

Such a great afternoon with Kevin! We loved the idea behind this tour - where you could choose how much you wanted to eat. We saved a lot of money (and saved our stomachs, too!) and got a great variety of delicious foods from Dublin - many of which weren't on my lists of places to check out. Kevin does a great job balancing stories and history with food, and the tour was just the right amount of time. We brought our two kids (ages 8 and 11) with us, and they loved it as well. A great tour for anyone looking to get a bit off the beaten path and discover some hidden gems.

WOW! What a fantastic tour! It was so much more than a food tour. Our guide, Kevin, provided a ton of information about the city's architecture, history, and local stories. Even though I've lived in Dublin and visited countless times since, I still learned so much. The food spots were fantastic and I loved how people were provided suggestions but could make decisions based on their preferences or whatever caught their eye that day too. Talk about a sustainable, interactive, and engaging way to explore the city. Thank you for a great experience!

We did the walking food tour with Kevin on our last day in Dublin and are so glad we did! Kevin’s sense of humor, knowledge of Irish history/current happenings, and food recommendations made this an incredibly worthwhile experience. His recommendations extended far beyond the five tour stops with music and pubs we enjoyed for our last night! If you’d like casual - yet delicious - food, to learn more about the history or Ireland, and explore the city like a local might, book this tour. You will not regret the time you spend learning from Kevin!

This tour was the highlight of my trip to Dublin. The food was delicious and I learned so much about the history of Ireland along the way. Kevin was our tour guide and he was amazing. Both congenial and knowledgeable. In total, we had fives stops - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Dessert, and 2nd Dessert. We started in The Liberties and ended in the city center. My only wish is that I had more time to visit Kevin's other recommendations during my trip. Can't wait to come back!

This walking tour was a fun way to kick off our weekend in Dublin. It was the perfect blend of savoury and sweet over 5 stops, sprinkled with fun facts and history in-between. You can tell Kevin has a love affair with the area and he shared lots of interesting insights to the Liberties, Guinness & Irish history that you wouldn’t normally hear. Kevin & Aoife both had lots of great food & sightseeing recommendations, so the tour is the perfect way to kick off your time in Dublin if you want to enjoy an array of yummy foods and get some great tips.

We had such a great time on this tour! Kevin our guide was really knowledgeable about Dublin and gave loads of recommendations for places to eat and things to do. The food was delicious at every stop too. You choose your own food but Kevin recommends a choice so it's the best of both worlds. There are some sit down stops along the way so it's not too strenuous, but the walking helps to not feel too full either. Thoroughly recommend!

With a wealth of a knowledge about Dublin and Irish history and an absolute love of food, they make the perfect couple to guide your through the delicious foods that Dublin has to offer while offering you bits of Irish history. If you're considering this tour, I'd recommended it a 100 times over. I'll definitely be booking for the drinks tour soon.

Street food with a side of local stories. The tour was amazing, interesting and delicious. Elina, the tour guide, was so so nice and made the experience a wonderful one. As my mother said, this was the best part of the trip; to get to feel the city and it’s people. Would definitely recommend if you’d like to get to know the today of one of Dublin’s neighborhoods while hearing stories from its past, all while eating tasty treats of your choice.

The walking food tour with Kevin was great. He was so knowledgable about Dublin and its history, but didn’t make it boring. Kevin was so knowledgeable and entertaining as our guide. The walking is not difficult at all. The tour is affordable and allowing your to buy what food you want while showing you reccomended street food stalls is a great way to see and eat Dublin City on a budget. Best spot we were taken to without doubt was Griolladh’s - best you take that down as there is no guarantee you will be taken there on your tour

Overall, Kevin was super friendly and we never had the feeling that we were being imposed on.

Kevin was excellent and his food recommendations were great. He knows a lot about the area and the food, but makes recommendations rather than mandates what you buy. He makes regular stops and makes sure that the whole group can hear him which is good. He told us upfront which places have toilet stops, and at stop 4 out of 5 we had the opportunity to sit down to rest our feet.

Fab Saturday morning wander catching up with a friend, great choice for visitors to the city or locals looking for inspiration.
We entered this tour withput any expectations. To our surprise we were honeres to be guided by a very sympathic and authentic local man who showed us what Irish culture really is about. Excellent value for 3h of walking, small bits of history and stops for good street food, in the company of a small group. The walking food tour of Dublin was fabulous - Dublin’s history came alive as we walked thru the streets and the way Kevin weaved the history of Dublin into the food we ate was wonderful - 5 stops which is plenty - on food tours u can often
I did the Food on Foot tour as part of the Dublin Pass, and it was the best part of the Pass. Booking via email was painless, and Kevin was the guide. He did a fantastic job of telling some of Ireland’s history (such as the Proclamation of
Terrible tour, food not representative of Ireland. Ice cream, cheesecake and an italian food stop with fried fish. Save your money and visit a Pub!

The walking food tour was fantastic and really allowed us to see Dublin through a residents eyes. Kevin was charismatic, informative and extremely helpful to the whole group with providing history, stories and answering any questions.
Great tour. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and made both the food stops and the local history very entertaining. I highly recommend this tour.

Went on this tour as part of a work event. Great stories, delicious food and a bit of light exercise. What more could you ask for! Kevin is a gentleman and taught me lots of things I didn't know, even though I was born in Dublin!

I wanted to take Kevin home with me! The most lovely and Irish proud man on the island. He’s not just knowledgeable but gives genuine history. You’ll leave as friends with the know how to get best food Ireland has to offer.
Very nice tour, gets you to know much more about Dublin, it's history, food scene and more. Not a tour fun but this one I've enjoyed. Kevin the guide was great.

Kevin really took the time to make the tour memorable. The food selection was great and we learned about Irish history. Valuable Guinness tips too that any visitor would appreciate. Enjoyed this tour! Highly recommended!
We had a great tour, full oh interesting stories about Dublin as well as good food. The concept of buying our own food on the tour is excellent. This was we could each decide how much and what to eat. Highly recommended

Brilliant tour and amazing value for money. Kevin introduced us to the hidden treasures of Irish cuisine in a entertaining and safe environment.
