Great tour! It is different from the other tours in that food isn't bundled into the price so you choose what you eat. We found that if we followed Kevin's recommendations and split each of the snacks between two of us the total cost for the food came to a little over 20 euros each. Good value! All of the recommendations were delicious. I've lived in Dublin for a few years and learned some new locations in the Liberties and tried some great new food. The restaurants that I had visited before were places that I have definitely thought to take visitors in the past. The tour is a good mix of food, history, and culture. It's quite relaxed and really an opportunity to meet people. The tour begins in the Liberties so there is quite a bit about Guinness in the first part. I've been on the Guinness tour, and that's good, but I found it to be more meaningful to walk down the streets and by the buildings as I learned about them rather than from a window. Kevin and Aoife are both wonderful guides and were very accommodating and helpful when it came to other recommendations about things to do around the city after the tour. Highly recommended!

We had the best time on this walking tour, even though it rained through part of it! Our guide, Kevin, was very informative, not only about the local food, but about history and he tied it all in very well. He is also very entertaining, we were delighted with the entire tour. We especially loved that fact that he taught us about Ballymaloe Relish! It is indeed delicious and we bought some at the airport on our way out to give to friends. #BallyMaloeRelish #BallyMaloe #BallyMaloeFood, you really need to make Kevin a spokesperson! The food on the tour was so delicious and we had to purchase it but it was not very expensive at all and honestly, it was more than we could eat. If you go with a group, you could feed 4 persons on one serving and I am not exaggerating! It was all so good, we went back the next day for more. You really need to take this tour, you will get more history than a tour without the delicious food so why not?

Highly recommend doing this while in Dublin! Kevin and Aoife are passionate about what they do: the culture and the food and made the perfect mix between the two. They will tell you a lot about the history, the activities to do, to things to see, the places to go. They will walk you trough the small streets of the city and bring you to 5 different stops, with each their own specialties. Kevin suggests the food to choose from, and it didn’t disappoint! From salty to sweet, you’ll get a variation of flavors with each dish. I would advise doing the tour at the beginning of the trip, so you can have a little pre-view of everything and get their advice for activities and the things to do and see. We did it on our last day, but it was the best way to end our little citytrip before going home. We really enjoyed every minute of it. When I decided to do the Beer Walking Tour, I hoped to not only get to know cool pubs and drink good beer, but also learn about the culture and get some more insight - in other words, I didn't want to do a tour where it's just about drinking. The tour with Kevin was exactly what we were looking for. Kevin shared so many things with us, answered countless questions and in addition he showed us cool pubs including a drink recommendation at each pub! I also think it's really cool that everyone buys their own drinks. So you could drink whatever you wanted (even if Kevin recommended something different) and it didn't become a standard pub crawl tour where it's all about drinking. Kevin's tours are more than that and I can only recommend them to everyone! Great person, with great stories and good recommendations! We will definitely be back!

He had so much information to share and did not shy away from our wild questions. I participated in one of Kevin's tours with a group from my school. Since arriving in Ireland, multiple of us were struggling with eating. We struggled to find places outside the international chains that served food we were willing to eat and that fueled us for our busy itinerary. On this tour we were introduced to so many amazing eating stops and tried things we never thought we would. We revisited a couple of the stops on the tour before we left and probably would have hit them all if we had time. After this tour, we knew what to look for on menus and what places were the best. Did the 'Food on Foot' tour which was led by the convivial and very knowledgeable Kevin. Excellent tour - I'd highly recommend. Good pace visiting five venues you're unlikely to discover on your own - including Dublin's oldest fish and chip shop. Food is not included which means you can get involved when you want. Kicking off the walk from St Catherine's and straight into the Guinness grounds, Kevin was able to impart why Guinness is so important to the history of Dubin and been a major contributor to the country's economy for centuries. The brewery provided jobs for thousands of people and helped to drive economic growth in Dublin and other parts of Ireland. The walking tour finishes off in the Temple Bar area so perfect for exploring this part of town and the city centre. Excellent value for money.

We did this tour when we first arrived into the city and it really helped us learn not only about food, about the history of Dublin (food related) but also how to navigate the city. Kevin was a fantastic guide. He’s a wealth of knowledge, not just about food but about the history and stories of the city. Even with overcast skies and a few sprinkles I would have happily snacked my way through ANOTHER two hours, lol! What I particularly loved was that Kevin will switch and swap up stops based upon new shops popping up or hidden gems that become available. With the Liberties district in constant change, it’s nice to know you’re getting the best no matter when you visit. Also, there’s no business partnerships between Walking Food Tours and the restaurants, so it’s completely non-biased pickings. On our tour: a coffee/sausage roll, a sandwich shop, a fish&chippy, and two different dessert shops! (No names, go on the tour and taste for yourself!) Loved it.

I went on this tour with my son (25) while Dad did his own thing. Best choice we made! We had an EXCELLENT guide and I really wish I remembered his name (Steve?) I hadn't expected the tour to include a history lesson but was pleasantly surprised not only to gain the knowledge but to have it delivered in such an enjoyable manner. Thank you for truly making this an experience to remember!! I like how the tour allows you to make your own food choices rather than a set menu. We enjoyed a breakfast spot, a lunch spot and a couple of desserts. Definitely take the suggestion to split the food offerings with a friend! Well, maybe all except the ice cream! ;-)

It gave great insight into how it would feel to live in Dublin, both now, and in the past. Kevin was a lovely friendly guy, endlessly patient in answering all questions from the group. We visited Dublin in April and this walking tour was a highlight of our trip. Kevin shared so much history while we walked, and we learned about beer, whiskey, food and politics. He also made recommendations of restaurants and pubs we should visit after the tour and we went to two of them and they were fantastic! He makes regular stops and makes sure that the whole group can hear him which is good. I liked the idea of being ‘tourist’ in my own locale as all seems a bit new these days and would highly recommend the experience. Fab Saturday morning wander catching up with a friend, great choice for visitors to the city or locals looking for inspiration.

What a wonderful experience. Kevin and Aoife were simply brilliant guides and extremely friendly - always happy to answer questions and very informative. We can definitely recommend this as a 'to do' when visiting Dublin. Will have to go back one day to try the best bailey's cheesecake ;)

Kevin's tour was a great way of learning a bit about Dublin and finding some delicious food options along the way. For meat eaters, the Beef-o sandwich was excellent and for the veggie crowd, the Potato-I was really good as well.

Went for a company activity by chance but didn't expect the Food-on-foot on tour to be so awesome! Kevin is really fun and talked a lot about the history of Dublin and its food. Can't recommend enough!
