I've ordered flowers with Weir's several times over the years and even made referrals to others to order there. Mainly because I grew up in this neighbourhood and wanted to support this local family owned business. Today was a complete disappointment with their customer service. I ordered flowers for my Mom's 81st birthday which is tomorrow. I wanted to surprise her as we were not going out to celebrate until later in the week. Today my Mom called me and said she received a call from a florist telling her someone ordered flowers for her to be delivered tomorrow. I was astonished that they would phone her the day before her birthday and spoil her surprise. So, of course I called them to express my disappointment. The person answering said that they always call because my Mom is in an apartment and they want to ensure someone will be there to pick them up and made a point of telling me that I did give them her phone number. I also gave them my phone number and I told her that she could have called me rather than ruined her surprise. I left my Mom's phone number so that they could call her upon arrival with the flowers. She told me "I'm not a mind reader. You should have called in the order". Well, that solves everything then I guess. Before I hung up I said I'll never do that again. Then after hanging up I thought about how rude she was and decided I'm not giving them my business any more. I called back and cancelled the order. She told me she was going to call my Mom and tell her that I cancelled the order. I told her not to because I will order somewhere else. She again said she was going to call my Mom. After telling her to mind her own business and I'll call my Mother myself I realized I'm not happy with this type of customer service, hence my review. All they had to do was apologize to me during the first call for ruining my Mom's surprise and I would have been happy with that but no, they play the it's not my problem, it's your problem game. In today's competitive market customer service is absolutely essential. Having the right kind of people skills can make or break a business. They have lost my business.

Well I had rated them 5 star before as I used their garden centre and had lovely flowers and selection at a great price. After my latest interaction with them I will never go back. I ordered flowers for a funeral, I went in to speak with them rather than doing it over the phone. There was a private family viewing on Sunday and the public service Wednesday. I explained this and made changes to the flowers as they were going to have have to last longer. Lovely to deal with, they seem to understand my request. I was happy. Get to Sunday, I arrive at the funeral home, no flowers. I called and was told they called the funeral home and were told the Service was Wednesday, so they were sending the flowers wednesday. Since i was at the funeral home, there was nothing i could do, we had to run around and find some last minute flowers. I called today, Monday to let them know I wasn't happy, that I went in and spoke to them about it, told them the correct delivery date. The Owner, I think reaction was we called the funeral home and was told Wednesday. I said, I explained it to them, and ask why, I wasn't called since I ordered and paid for the flowers. She rudely said it wasn't her issue and I should take it up with funeral home. No sympathy, no Sorry for the confusion, nothing but rudeness. I fully understand there was confusion, it happens, and mistake are made. BUT how rude she was is unacceptable. I asked for a refund and was told to come in for it. I did, no sorry, no nothing, just a straight refund. I love the garden centre, and they have wonderful flowers but I will never buy nor recommend anything from them again.

My mother just received her mother’s days flowers. For $250 what I received looks like it was put together by a child. Pictures are of what I received and what it was supposed to look like. I called to complain. The miserable woman on the phone said it was similar. My only option was to go pick up the flowers from my mother... no replacement .. nothing. Would never order from here. Total rip off. Thanks for your response. Unfortunately the description/theme is not even close. Below is the description with all the flowers that were supposed to be in the arrangement which were substituted with carnations and daisies. I do commend you for removing it from your website so others won’t be disappointed and ripped off. A dramatic display in jewel-toned roses and hydrangea in a sophisticated vase, this majestic bouquet will take their breath away. Dark pink hydrangea, lavender hydrangea, lavender roses, light lavender roses, red roses, red spray roses, purple carnations, purple button spray chrysanthemums, and purple cushion spray chrysanthemums are arranged with hanging green amaranthus, israeli ruscus, xanadu philodendron leaves, and red ti leaves. Delivered in a glass romanesque vase.

Very disappointed in wears lately. I have always supported wears & the last two mothers days I have only received beautiful arrangements from them. I was surprised when I ordered A bouquet to a friends house a few weeks ago and the flowers looked nothing like the picture ( looked like they were made as cheaply as possible). I quickly called and asked if I could have my Mother’s Day order similar to the online version. The person told me it would be similar. I went to pick it up today and was shocked by how cheaply it was done & how much greenery filler was used. I literally paid almost $70 dollars for the deluxe version of the bouquet & it couldn’t look as if it was cheaper. I’m so sad considering up until this year I had only been impressed. I quite literally had to go and get metro roses to put into the bouquet to look more full. Will Not be ordering from them again.

Great place to visit in the city. They have goats, chickens and fish which my children love while you are looking for gardening needs. We usually walk from home and decided to drive this time. I didn’t know where to park, so I just parked my car near the front to ask. When I came into the store the lady said to me “you’re parked the wrong way”. No good morning or greeting, in which I felt very unwelcomed. The gentleman who was in the store said we were all good and that it was no problem. Much more hospitable, but that experience turned me off from buying anything that day. It wasn’t even busy that day for someone to have an off day. My feedback would be to improve communication skills and greetings, to have people feel welcomed than in the wrong and a parking sign.. as others were also parked “wrong” that day. Otherwise a decent gardening centre in the city

Great place with exceptional staff. They have a good assortment of flowers and plants. I come here each year to pick up my vegetables and herbs as I have found the quality makes a big difference in how well they do. I have gotten some from Canadian Tire in the past and they never produce as well. They have a goat pen with adorable goats that you can pet and feed while there. To elaborate on how amazing the staff is, I went by once after work at 6:30, they close at 6 which I was unaware of, but I saw a man out watering and pulled in. He opened up the shop for me and was extremely helpful and patient as I picked out some succulents I needed for gifts the next day. Very impressed. They have my business for as long as I am in Hamilton.

I placed an order over the phone to have a bouquet delivered to my step mom from my dad for their 10th wedding anniversary. I told the florist that I was looking to pay around $70. I checked out the website first and saw some gorgeous bouquets posted that were priced under my budget and was expecting at least similar quality. When my step mom sent me a photo of the bouquet she received, I was disappointed. It looks like a $15 bouquet of flowers from the grocery store. Most definitely not worth the $70 that I spent. So so disappointed. Edited to add after owners response: the bouquet still wasn't what you'd expect for $50. Carnations, daisies and alstroemeria - exactly what you find in a cheap grocery store bouquet.

Absolutely terrible customer service, I had a large arrangement delivered only to get a very rude very unprofessional call from the store, they could not figure out delivered address, my bad... it was 213 instead or 214, but 214 does not exist but I also was extremely specific, corner property North West Corner! also indicated royal blue door, she was extremely rude and frustrated and actually hung-up on me after calling me an idiot as she was hanging up, my company will never use them again I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere and will definitely make sure that this ridiculously unprofessional unpleasant rude unwarranted experience traveling to many in my circle and beyond.

Wear’s flower and garden centre recently made the flower arrangements for my mother’s funeral and were very happy with the results. They listened to what we wanted and made us some beautiful arrangements. We asked for rosemary in the coffin arrangement and they said they would do their best but rosemary was not yet in season, so sent a beautiful potted rosemary plant for us. It was such a thoughtful thing to do and meant a lot to me. I would recommend this florist.

I've been going here for the last 2 years for my soil for crops I grow. I would rather spend my money here then lowes or home depot because I like to support a local business like this and there always friendly and always have Berger BM6 for me I will continue to shop for as long as I'm growing and I recommend other people support them 2 because we are loosing businesses like this.PS thanks weirs for always having what I need.....

We used Wears for our wedding. When the flowers were delivered they were half the size we had originally agreed on, they’d forgotten to bring two planters that were fully paid for, my bouquet and my bridesmaids’ bouquets had flowers that hadn’t even blossomed yet. I used to shop at Wears for my day to day flower needs and to that respect they were great, but I highly recommend avoiding them for any large event.

I’ve been in 3 times and called twice. Always so rude. Called today to check on hours and was told and I said thank you and they abruptly slammed down the phone. Will never be back. Learn some customer service skills or retire. Nothing but an angry, bitter bunch work here. I have been ordering flower arrangements from Wear’s for years now and they never disappoint. Yesterday I placed a last minute order for 2 funeral arrangements and they turned out exquisite - they helped to make a touching tribute for a dear family friend. I just wanted to say thank you so much for your work! To anyone looking for a florist, please consider Wear’s - their work is beautiful.

This flower shop was a great place for all types of flowers soils. They have a goat an other small animals for kids. But they seem to have started to let things go. Flowers were not worth the money. Most are all dried out an looking poorly an selection is limited. It is still the neighborhood flower shop just need to get more people buying in the area. Still got my flowers from them.

You name it they have it! Look forward to returning every year. The selection and offering are just amazing. Anytime I am in need of a plant I save my time searching by coming to Wear 's. Mandeville, clematis, they got it all. I also use the florist as the flowers and arrangements are beautiful and not costly. Just got a dz wrapped white roses. For $40.00.

Thank you to Wear's Flowers & Garden Centre for the beautiful job they did with my Mom's funeral flowers. It was an emotional time and when I called, I only had a vision of what I wanted. They listened and created exactly what I had in mind. The flowers were stunning and we received many compliments. I know Mom would have approved. Great family business.

I had ordered flowers for my best friends who had just lost their mom/mother in law and they were absolutely beautiful. You could tell that Wear’s Flowers really care about their customers by how much work goes into their arrangements. I had ordered the enchanted cottage deluxe arrangement and it was just stunning! I highly recommend this flower shop.

Amazing staff, very friendly and knowledgeable. Incredible arrangements and fresh cut flowers! This is the only place I shop for flowers. Period! Plus they have a small animal attraction with goats, ducks, chickens/roosters, and stuff. For $1, you can feed them! The flowers also last a very long time! Or you can get arrangements with fabric flowers!

The staff never stop working. It's a wonderful store. Get there early in spring or the locals will have bought them out. There's a small petting zoo with some very spoiled goats to feed year round. Not to drag this post down, but the flowers they designed for my Mom's funeral were beautiful. Some family felt very honored to take them home.

We recently ordered wedding flowers (bouquets & boutinaires) as well as presentation bouquets from Wears Florist. The floral order was delivered on time and they were absolutely stunning....and they all lasted for weeks after the wedding. Highly recommended Wears Florist for quality service, on time delivery and excellent customer service.

My favourite florist for bouquets and garden plants. Knowledge staff. Family business. My favourite Part is feeding the goats and right now there is babies. There is the chickens and ducks too. Been going there since a child. I took my daughter there all the time and the kids I uses to babysit. See the animals and learn about plants.

I called this florist and asked for cut down roses in a square glass container with a nice greenery in and around it. I could not have been more impressed by the photo my friend (recipient) sent me of her beautiful arrangement. Thank you for your TLC in this beautiful piece. The cost was very reasonable, as well. I had amazing service at Wear's flower shop. They were welcoming, took the time to explain pricing and if they didn't know the answer they asked a staff member who did. When they got me soil they were nice enough to let me know to let it warm up since it was out in the cold (so it wouldn't shock my new plants)

Had the opportunity to pop in here and was welcomed warmly and shown a large variety of very cheerful and well cared for succulents. You cannot beat a smaller garden centre when it comes to fair prices and healthy plants. I'll be back and I'll be spreading the word. ❤️ …

My nephew stopped June 8th to order a corsage for Prom and was rudely told not doing anymore by the clerk, she could of at least said I'm sorry we are not taking any more orders, we buy many flowers for the garden but we won't be making any more purchases from wears

We always enjoy our time at this pleasantly quaint locally owned establishment . It is so great to deal with a family business that has the expertise and caring attitude we find rare these days. We always find beautiful and healthy plants that are fairly priced.

The product provided by this florist for a memorial service did not match the specified order. Furthermore, the customer service provided at a follow-up meeting was uncaring and surly. So much for "finest" and "friendly".

Needed a floral arrangement for a friends funeral in Hamilton. It was late the night before the funeral.They were able to deliver the arrangement in plenty of time and flowers were exquisite.

So many collections to choose from. The zucchini and cucumber plants I got from here now yield two feet long cucumbers and giant zucchini. And the plant was $1.40 for four seedlings.

Very helpful staff all around. I set up the wrong delivery date and they were more then happy to help. The Delivery driver went out of his way to make sure that they were delivered.
