The ABSOLUTE worst Whole Foods I've EVER been to in the country. You can definitely tell that Whole Foods is now Amazon/Walmart, just ridiculously expensive. This location is run like an overpriced Walmart with ATROCIOUS customer service. Was literally IGNORED after I was told to go to the customer service area to "wait" to get checked out because I didn't have the app downloaded on my phone for Prime. I walked over to the customer service area, no one was there, but there was a cashier standing less than four feet from me who said, "I'm sorry there's no one to help you right now," then proceeded to turn his back on me and start checking out someone in his line without even calling for assistance. Wow. I literally called the store's OUTSIDE phone number to try to get assistance, and the cashier who originally turned his back on me answered the CUSTOMER SERVICE PHONE that he had on his hip. I asked him to get a manager over to customer service as I was literally looking at him, and I told him that I was the one on the phone and I needed help. He finally looked over at someone and said, " she's asking for a manager," as if I was the problem, and not the previous three people that didn't help me. The person that came over to finally assist me was actually very kind and apologized for the terrible customer service experience that I had. Unfortunately, the terrible customer service experience that I had with the cashier's at Whole Foods is systemic. This will be the LAST time I ever visit Whole Foods. PERIOD. Whole Foods has forgotten that customer service is EVERYTHING. Btw, for those who have wheat and gluten sensitivities and allergies, the Wholefoods 365 products that are labeled gluten-free are cross-contaminated because they use shared equipment. Actually, pretty much everything is cross-contaminated within the 365 brand. Check it out yourself. I purchased a bag of frozen strawberries and had a horrible GLUTEN reaction because they're "Organic" strawberries were processed on shared equipment. Nice.

UPDATE: Right! Like I'm going to go to your website and let you "review" my comments. Talk about Big Brother! How about you just do the right thing and make your store handicapped accessible? ********* This Whole Foods location continues to be my least favorite. The parking lot is a hellscape, and the store is so crammed that as a disabled person, it is overwhelming. There are tons of displays blocking access to mobility carts. Today, the cart I was in had a "safety feature" that causes the cart to lock up if it senses an obstacle.... like an effing DISPLAY!! I could only back up, but every time I tried to move forward, nope. So, I left it right where it was... diagonal in the middle of an aisle. I know they are building a new Whole Foods across the street, but they need to get a move on with it. This store is too cramped for the number of people coming through it. And most of those people are oblivious to everything around them, so if you wanna push past a disabled person because you're special and important, I might accidentally trip you with my cane. Of course, I just adore all the Amazon propaganda, proclaiming they care about people and the planet, but we all know those are vicious lies.

Decent, but prices generally higher than most other natural food stores in town. Competitive pricing most often found on proprietary '365' store brand, but can be VERY hit & miss in this regard – e.g. organic salsa is still almost $2 cheaper at Smiths/Kroger (July '23). Keypads locking you out of the bathrooms are a HUGE minus – Academy WF doesn't have them which is why I'll go there instead if it has to be Whole Foods and it's logistically feasible. Filtered H20 dispenser was out-of-order at least a week this month – annoying when you've hauled in your empty bottles. Pluses: Amazon shipping lockers with better hours/access than my PO box/USPS. Large variety, especially Bakery • Deli • Hot Foods/Soup bars • grab 'n' go meal selection (which areas will also especially bleed your budget). Giant Red Arrow landmark arcs over the SE corner of the parking lot, unlikely to follow in the next year when this store moves across the street into new digs being built on the former KMart site.

The fact that most grocery stores carry limited foods in their most natural & unaltered forms is not only very disconcerting but also scary. I appreciate that, for now, there are stores like Whole Foods (& Natural Grocers) that carry a larger variety of naturally organic foods. The fact we HAVE to carefully do our due diligence in this manner concerns me greatly. The staff are the other reason for preferring Whole Foods to the other regular chain stores, i.e. Walmarts, Smith's, etc. They are thoroughly versed in their designated departments. If they are uncertain of an answer, they will find out or someone who can give a definitive answer.

A good shopping experience. This is a bright store, full of lots of products and the vibe is nice. I love that they sell Hoptea which is hard to find. The place was very busy but still remarkably well faced and clean. The hot food bar and salad bar area were a tad dry looking but other whole foods are the same. The only thing I would improve would be to have a pleasant eating area that's calm. Both the tables up by the registers and the outdoor tables were hectic with shoppers and cars. Restrooms were accessible with a number code for customers only. Ample parking spots, conveniently located off of Cutler & Hwy 40.

I used to like purchasing Chantilly Cakes from there but this last purchase I will no longer buy. I bought a Chantilly Cake for a birthday on September 26, the inside of the cake was terrible. The fruit that they used tasted sour! The strawberries lost their color, and it tasted spoiled. I took off the top part of the cake where it was layered and all the fruit looked discolored and it had smell of sourness. We ended up throwing out the cake. The frosting was good but the whole inside of the cake was wet and soaked from the sourness of the fruit. I will no longer purchase the Chantilly Cakes from here again.

Overpriced overhyped junk place! Now worth it at all! I don’t know , maybe their fresh veggies and fruits are so much better thank Walmart, or similar. But other things in packages like coffee or similar stuff which doesn’t matter where you get it , are 30-50 % more expensive than Walmart for example. I bought their prepped meals , there were pretty expensive like restaurants meal , but not worth it at all, didn’t taste good and very skimpy on meat. Like their chicken enchiladas are about $10, just tortilla with rice and beans , with tiny tiny pieces of chicken.

Since Whole Foods became Amazon, I am mostly disappointed in the produce. While Foods was my go-to produce market. Not so much now. I have had too much bad produce or produce go bad quickly. Never had that issue before. I still rely on them for meat, and I am never disappointed. They are often higher priced in the exact same items I can get at other markets, especially when I do not want their brand (Almond milk, Good Culture cottage cheese, and other items). Staff members are great, store always clean, organized. I do shop here often.

  • Shelby Walters

The 3 stars is only because I like the checkout people. They’re great. Otherwise, this Whole Foods kind of sucks. The produce is sad, they are often out of regular grocery items, and forget about finding specialty products. The hot bar is a barren wasteland, and god forbid you’re hungry after 6pm because they’ve likely decided to put everything away and not restock the shelves. Whole Foods is a shell of its former quality under Amazon leadership, which has always been a distant second to Central Market.

It was a great store to check out and enjoyed my time there, up until I left. The security guard you have is very unprofessional she followed me out the store apparently and had the nerve to say arnt you the guy that came in last week and stole gloves...EXCUSE ME! No because it was my very first time there and I work for a living, I don't steal. She should never just randomly judge/accuse someone like that. FIRE HER!!!!

  • Eddie_Spaghetti

Has a great variety of fresh and organic products and there is a large diversity of foods to try. It is all more expensive than an average grocery store but if you have prime membership, there are discounts to be had that can save some money. The parking lot is terribly designed and if it's busy it can be a nightmare to get through. Staff were friendly and professional and helped with all my needs.

  • sue Ribeiro

Beautiful, clean, well organized store! I was a somewhat surprised at the prices being higher than imagined, but people did not seem to be fazed! I discovered Amazon Prime members get 10% off- a pleasant discovery. So many unusual options!! Most were healthy. The people behind the counters were really friendly too, which is always a positive in my estimation. I am definitely returning!!

Such an Archaic looking building externally. Inside is filled with a helpful team and lots of good, produce, items to satisfy almost everyone. I didn't find any VEGAN KIMCHI. However, there's tons of other vegan, keto, and gluten free foods, vegetables and fruits. With AMAZON Prime Membership you'll receive a 10% discount. Who doesn't love a DISCOUNT!?

  • J.J. C.

We love Wholefoods, BUT, I don't like it when they discontinue items. For example, my skin is very sensitive to certain creams and lotions, I found Weleda's Sensitive Skin for Baby, in a purple box. so happy I found something that worked but then it got discontinued and I had to resort to going to Sprouts for another brand called Firsthoney.

  • TDay Inspiration

Great, quality, food for sure. The customer service is fare but you do $$pay$$ generously for the quality you receive. I absolutely treasure the food we buy from whole foods. I just wish it were more affordable to eat a quality, natural, wholesome diet. Great place though. Wonderful selection. They usually have amazing sushi too!! …

  • Len Osborne

Ordered a specialty birthday cake and I was hoping for something pretty good because whole foods is really good about their cakes. What I got was just amazing. It was decadent and just pure birthday cake bliss. Special shout out to Micaela who did the cake and was as sweet and brilliant as the creation. You are my wife's bakery hero.

  • Christopher Goes

Got a absolutely delicious gluten free cake here for Mother's birthday. The bakery lady helped us find what we needed despite the place being quite busy, and they also answered our questions over the phone before arriving. Good market though a bit cramped (they're about to open a larger new location across the street though).

  • Treee Lifes

I went in today and first they are a bit overpriced. Secondly, the cashier charged for the wrong item in produce. She charge me for the large avocado instead of the medium avocado and I did not realize that until when I got home and looked at the receipt. Now I had to drive back to the store and have them adjust the pricing.

  • Jilli Oyenque

Received as a gift 2 bundles of flowers. 20 tulips in one and when opened up to vase there were only 8 which held petals and were not slimy. I called and they said there was nothing they could do without receipt. They were a gift so I did not have it. Will not buy any flowers for gifts or otherwise from Whole Foods ever.

  • keith pappi7

Gifted a Xmas pair of slippers that were too small. Came in the next day to exchange them for a larger pair. The Customer Service rep was a big bitter woman who absolutely delighted in telling me they couldn’t do a size exchange without a receipt. That bigun should be stocking shelves, not engaging w customers.

I can not believe how far down hill this store has gone since the new owners have taken over. Every year it gets worse. Cooperate greed is palatable. The hot food bar is almost the same every single day. Very minimal breakfast food. And the buffet pans are often empty. I hate shopping there

  • Larissa Brewington

The prices are a bit up there, not insane but more than Fry's. The customer service was a bit bland outside of the cashiers who have been very friendly each time. So I leave with a smile. The beds look amazing. I got a brand name but kicked myself for not getting the fresh.

  • CR

I am on crutches and the customer service at Whole Foods on Carlisle was great today. A very nice young man, Jon, pushed a cart for me, loaded some items, enabled me to checkout quickly, and brought everything outside for me. I really appreciate the help. Thank you!

  • Alex Kolkena

Pro: excellent selection of quality products. Helpful and friendly staff. Fresh produce. Even though it was busy, I didn’t have to wait more than a minute before out. Con: very pricey compared to lower-tier retailers like Walmart. But hey, that’s to be expected.

  • Daniel Neely

It's too stuck up I hate the No firearms signs and the lack of security to be able to ask law abiding citizens to not carry. But they have great pizza and nice Christmas trees some of the biggest and and cheapest trees in Albuquerque

  • Joe Grantham

Horrible customer service. Go to Sprouts for similar food quality in Albuquerque. First place I have been too that the managers are rude to customers and don't solve your problems. I would never go to the Carlisle location again.

  • Lissa Michaeli

Very small and congested but theyre moving to their big building across the street soon ! I find the employees to always be very helpful and friendly and thats what keeps me coming back to this location!

  • Lucian Tapia

Get ready to pay. I spent 50$ on 2 small Tupperware containers from the cold buffet counter and some sliced fruit. Food was good but I could have gone to a decent restaurant for the same price.

Whole Foods is a large health food store I think owned by Amazon company. They have a great deli section, vitamin section, and wine section. It is a fun place to shop.

  • nTECHgrate Support

This is my primary grocery store. The staff is friendly and they have a great selection. Can't wait for the new location to open across the street.

  • Eduvijen Thomas

Everyone is happy there. That is my new Happiest Place on earth (please don't sue me Disneyland, everyone's entitled to their own happy place.)

  • Don Blackburn

Pretty good. Whenever I am in Albuquerque I pick up a few specialty items that I can't buy in Bloomfield. Definitely dear on the wallet though.

  • Jukka Jumisko

My favorite mid week dinner place. Good menu and nice ambiance. No TVs. Katie, the owner wants people to talk to each other in her restaurant.

  • Kay Finley

Love love love their berry Chantilly cake are amazing if you do grab one miniuim 24 hour notice well worth the wait like heaven on a fork

  • Richard Pellecchia II

I always enjoy shopping here! Story is always stocked, well organized and clean. The staff are always friendly helpful. Best bakery ever!

  • Kevin Condit

The best things I have ever purchased. Rich dark yellow full of flavor. I purchased the 365 brand 18 pack for $4.99 medium size.

  • Anne Cox

Wholefood is excellent for finding items not found in your average grocery store. Having the app and Prime make it worth it.

  • apolonia Mendoza

I had a Chantilly birthday cake made fir my husband. Everyone bragged about how good it was. Very satisfied customer.

  • J Johnson

Amazon return was simple and fast. The prices in Whole Foods are too high for a commoner like me to shop there.
