Update: Both Store hours and Customer Service hours have changed since I wrote the previous review shown below: This Winco store offers a large selection of reasonably priced groceries, common household items, and seasonal surprises. There is an ever-increasing amount of organic foods available as well as a large bulk food section. The company is employee owned and open for 24 hours every day except certain holidays. Although, after midnight, be prepared to maneuver around boxes of merchandise placed mid-aisle as this is the time when their night-workers are restocking the shelves. Employee run check-out stations are available around the clock along with a section of 8 self-service stations. The self-service section closes between 11pm and midnight. I'm not certain when it opens but believe it is around 7:00am. Regardless of the type of check-out chosen, customers are expected to bag their own purchases and bringing your own bag is suggested. It costs about 5 cents to purchase a paper grocery bag. This WinCo location includes an on-site Customer Service Department that is accessible daily between the hours of 9am and 9pm. Well-trained employees working in the department can cash your approved company paychecks and process returns related to previously purchased items. Stamps, money orders, and tobacco products are available for purchase. For a small fee, they will send or recieve facsimile requests, provide requested copies of document originals, and/or assist you with sending funds or paying utilities electronically. WinCo has a large parking lot for customers to park their vehicles while shopping. The parking is readily available and free of charge . Some parking spaces near the store's front entrance have been designated for use only by vehicles with a state government Disabled Parking permit legally displayed. The spaces are clearly marked and include posted signage. In addition, disabled customers that have difficulty walking or tire easily, are allowed to use of one of the store-owned battery-operated riding scooters while they shop. When not in use, the scooters can be found parked inside the store near the front entrance. I've been doing the majority of my grocery shopping at this Winco for over 10 years and, so far, my experiences at this location have been good.
Cheating/ ripping people off on their coupons isn't okay. Bella J ripped me off knowing I had the limit of 2 on each coupon. She ran them after argument but not for the correct amounts. (See photos) The store actually owes me $6 dollars in savings if the coupons were rang correctly (see photos) cashier refused. She also forced me to run my card for .20 cents. When bags are legally free for EBT users. Seems like maybe she profiles and picks on people who use food stamps and coupons. Treating people badly because they use coupons (mailed out by your store mind you). I am a disabled single mom, I didn't need your attitude. Your argument over my coupons. You tried to decline letting me use the $10 coupon knowing my total was well over $50 (receipt pictured), Bella J, you treated me and my family less than human. That isn't something I let go silently. I can't describe how it feels to he treated less than human. Not worth any amount of savings given. We appreciate the coupons you mailed out. But using them was an awfal experience. Thanks!
Horrible experience! One register was open and 4 of the 6 self check. Yes I had about 30 items but it was not busy at all so I went to self check. They refused to let me check out.! We're back to masks, I have a suppressed immune system and didn't want to be face to face with a cashier as they manhandled my food that just touched dirty money. I tried to explain that and all they could say was don't you know how many people touched those items already? Obviously, but that doesn't mean any more people have to. So I had to choose the most important 15 items in my cart that held all the things I'd selected to feed my family for the next few days. All this while 3 employees formed a circle around me and other shoppers gawker at the scene being made. I could have rang all my items up and been paying for them by this point. I will not be going back to the location on NE 122nd EVER!
Visited this Winco on 12/5/23 I had to hurry shopping as I had much anxiety after seeing all the tubs to catch leaking roof water around various areas of the store. Seems that the roof is in bad shape. Had to take a couple pics on my way out. Also after asking one of the employees, when will this be fixed? She replied telling me that it has been this way for years! I told her that it’s a law suit waiting to happen. I had seen some tubs last time I shopped here. Which is my concern for when will it be fixed.? I can’t shop without thinking the roof is going to collapse. I felt the water splash on me as I went by the area they were catching drips. The front of the store roof piece has started to come down too.
WinCo is the place where they say that they have low prices and they prove it at the register every time! Examples: 8x6 foot area rug $35, Walmart over $100. 1lb hamburger $2.95 Walmart over $5. Coco roos $4.78 Walmart $5.97. Almost everything is lower at WinCo. The staff is usually friendly and they keep the shelves pretty full of fresh items, unlike Walmart whose employees don't care and don't work hard enough to get the stock on the shelves. This is a well run store. The parking lot is picked up and the store is clean. I love WinCo. As a former grocery store manager I feel that I can recommend this place. As a customer I feel valued.
A bit busy, but I'm always satisfied with WinCo!!! WinCo is always going to be my number one store!, You know, tubes have changed since my first post I did on WinCo, prices are really high, they seem to be constantly it of stock on so many things I usually purchase, I have difficulties getting to WinCo to shop, so when I do go there, I expect to be able to do my big shopping for my big family without any ISSUES, and that's just not the way it is anymore, is kinda rather do my shopping sheets else, sadly but true. Perhaps things will improve as time goes on doing this pandemic crisis were all experiencing...
This used to be such a good place with really nice staff. We've literally been coming here for years. But I don't know what's happened the past few years. The employees are so rude and unhelpful now. I just tried to pay for something using my debit card and the cashier said it wasn't correct. It is the correct pin. She offered no help for getting it resolved so I could pay. I had to leave my groceries there. I just called my bank to check and yes, I was putting in right pin. That was the last straw. I'm never coming back here. I'm sick of being treated like white trash because of how I'm dressed.
WinCo is known for a wonderful fruit and veggie department. This store does not disappoint! Great selection of fresh fruits and veggies. Please note:. For those of you who rely on the use of the scooters provided for the disabled to use while shopping... This store currently does not have any available. Their scooters were vandalized and are not able to be ridden. They have ordered new scooters, but they advised that due to the pandemic, the scooters are on back order. If you truly need a scooter to shop, you might want to call to verify if they have any available before you go shopping here.
This is on 10/7/22 7:30pm-8:30pm and it's a busy Friday. The workers being frustrated is okay. What is NOT okay is screaming over the loud speaker about self checkout. Not just once, 7 TIMES. Everyone in the store is getting their ears blown out over something that could be said just at self checkout. Whoever okayed that being said so many times showed that they one do not know how to manage a store during a rush and two most definitely chose the wrong person to do it. Please y'all be mindful of children and people with hearing aids, and CALM DOWN
I always prefer this winco over the athers, This one is bigger obviously there are more things to choose from, never had a problem, good prices, recommended Update 9//6/22 one thing that I noticed is they stated to sell more IPA beers more local beers high alcohol volume and that kind bothers me because, yeah local and IPA beers are more expensive they're good beers but expensive THAT'S WHY I DON'T BUY BEERS IN WINCO Whatch out for old ladies driving got hit twice and and is a nightmare with insurance and time, park far from door
Winco employees were stocking as I did some quick shopping. For the most part the store was stocked and faced all end caps were full had clear signage. The employees were great an on top of customer service and directing customers where to go. The registers stayed on top of not allowing one or two registers get backed up. Once 3-4 customers were in line they would open another register. This winco was excellent in having a clean store customer service and value for what you purchase.
I have been going to WinCo for decades and the interior has not changed much from 20 years ago. That's a positive because if something is working well then just maintain and improve it which is what I think WinCo has done. The prices and selections are good. However, I don't think they take credit cards so make sure you have debit or other forms of payment. There is another WinCo located on 102nd which is not very far from this location.
We recently moved and WinCo is the closest grocery store. I’d shopped here before and am glad to be closer. We used to shop at mostly New Seasons or Whole Foods and I don’t miss them much. You can still get lots of organic, natural and local products. They have a fantastic beer selection with great prices on everything. And supporting an employee owned company is always great.
I’ve been coming to this winco for a couple years now. I have to say they always stays well stocked up on all there inventory. The employees are very nice anytime I need help with anything There very helpful. The cashiers are quick to get the lines moving. It can get kinda busy sometimes specially around the holidays. I’ve very pleased with this location.
Still the cheapest grocery store in town. Careful when you go lines can be outrageous at times. I have waited over an hour to checkout. Staff is somewhat friendly. Cashier told me they were closed and I went to next lane to begin my long wait. I happened to look back and same cashier let two people in their lane, both with more groceries than me!!
I like Winco foods but 2 times I’ve shopped there in the past month the Oreos I bought. The whole middle part of the cookies were missing and then I bought Starbucks coffee pods and there was one missing. I think the theft is making it hard. I can’t shop here anymore until they figure out there theft issues. I wasted money and got ripped off.
Blessed to back in beautifull Oregon .Smells better better food and prices...so missed Home.oh Winco I spoke of you in Florida and how you should be there and take over lol.Until you have left somerhing so awesome WINCO you just dont know how Good you had it,but I do now!winco thnk u for thinking of the People.ALDI IN Florida u Suck....
This is probably the largest supermarket in Oregon. The selections for most items are wide - bulk foods, cereals, pet foods, pet supplies, beverages, ramen noodles, etc. The bulk food section is second to none. If you can’t find something here, you probably would have a hard time finding it somewhere else. A very impressive store.
This is my favorite Winco to shop at. The 102nd location is slightly closer to me but I like 122nd way more so it is the one I shop at. It's a super store so the aisles are nice and spacious which is glorious. This store is well taken care of and has great employees. Love that they have a pizza shop here as well!
11/16/22 "The WinCo folks" are great! ** My FAVORITE FLAVOR of Zoi yogurt I've found only at WinCo stores and all Zoi flavors at the LOWEST PRICE TOO. - Excellent variety of fresh produce. - Quality meat. - At 11:45p 2 cashiers were added to help speed through checkout by 12a. The faster, the better I say.
The chunky lady with long curly dark hair, a lot of make up and perfume who works in the little booth by self check out sure has a nasty attitude! Don't appreciate putting a finger in my face and telling me how to shop. 79th and powell is farther away from my house, but I won't shop at 122nd anymore.
As always, WinCo is the best in price and service. I love doing my shopping there and would go there exclusively if they had everything I needed all of the time. Alas, I know that no one can possibly expect that and they truly do come as close as possible. If only they delivered now.... lol
Their prices are usually the lowest you can find, and the selection is always good. Their bulk area is always a money saver too. My only gripe truly is the checkout lines. They have 12 of their 17 checkstands closed right now, with long lines at each open one that don't move very fast.
The cashiers are excellent and on point; it's the manager slacking off. Sitting in front of bread texting, finally looks up to see 5+ people in lines, saunters to customer service for a cashier call and hides in his office, apparently taking up an extra stand himself is below him.
Not RV friendly. Went to Planets fitness and WinCo. Got a call (we have our # out for pet emergencies) while grocery shopping from security saying property manager says we’re loitering. Had a security guard waiting by our vehicle. He was nice but the whole situation was rude.
LIES!! Winco is NOT 24hrs at “some locations” which is deceiving. They “claim” to be open 24/7. Hence the sign that is all over the building. “24 hour savings”. I would not recommend this place to anyone. This location is open at 5 am and closes at midnight.
Some good deals not much selection. Great bulk food and bakery choices. They do not take credit cards so no points earned. I would have shopped elsewhere but had a 10.00 coupon. Spent more there and didn't get some of my groceries. Not a good experience.
This is probably my favorite grocery store in Portland. Great prices, well laid out and well lit. The produce used to occasionally not be up to snuff, but lately it has been great, though sometimes they run out of fresh herbs like cilantro.
The employees at this place work their behinds off keeping up stocking the shelves, working all of the specialty areas like the deli and the fried chicken and the pizza and all the ready-to-go stuff they have to prepare! When you drive into
I was very impressed with the security guard at this winco. He saw a man tripping on drugs walking in the parking lot and without me asking he came all the way to where I was at my car with my kids and stood near by basically energetically
Shopping at WinCo Even during COVID-19 the store is well stocked (even TP!) and open. Everyone said that there would be lines to get inside to shop but I just wait until late evening to go and have had no problem. The other grocery stores
If it’s been snowing for three days and you’ve been closed for a couple days you might need to have a full staff when you re-open. there was 3 lines, if not more, all the way to the end of the store by the meat department wrapped all the
Due to pandemic, the company is closing early for stocking. Fine, I understand. Posted closing time on website was midnight. I pulled up at 11am, according to the spy app google maps. They were closed. The young man that was at the door
Never had a complaint, they even let me repurchase my shopping spree on ebt food for a return of my original transaction… boy did they save the day… og grocery store… friendly customer service and I notice they have a sense of humor.
An abundance of affordable produce and meats, compared to other major grocery chains. Overall better prices on most items. Great bulk section. WinCo is a self bagging store. Large wide aisles. Good Bakery and Meat department.
Always a pretty good experience, usually always nice checkers, gotta bag our own stuff, but that’s no problem. Still better than feelin like your a thief when you leave Walmart. They usually have everything I’m looking for.
Nice Winco with a good selection. Love the deli tray section with pre made dinners you can bake, pizza dough and toppings ect. My biggest complaint is the lack of checkers and long lines. Takes forever to get out of there.
Went in early in the morning. Store was clean and organized. Everything very easy to find and on stock. I seen multiple employees walking around available to assist shoppers. Check out was fast And cashier was friendly.

Surprising variety. Great bulk food & spice section. Some may be bothered by bagging thier own groceries, I love having it done just the way I want, and the gallon of milk never ends up on top of the dozen of eggs.
Pretty much always super busy but the store is well maintained and clean. Overall, pretty nice employees and good store. Just make sure you ONLY HAVE 15 ITEMS OR LESS if you are going to use the self-checkout!!
Poor service. During rush hours, staffs are unable to comprehend the foot traffic causing a build up on one line that lead no where. Only thing they did was announced on the intercom. Physically didn't nothing.
The high rating is because the prices are low. The store is usually clean, and the parking is ample. However, it can become very crowded with long lines at the registers. Then it feels like being at Costco.
Shantel was awesome! She checks you out with lightening speed. Still a dirty foyer. Still not enough hand sanitizer near shopping carts. Some bakery items have mold. Not enough check out lanes open. …
I like the 102nd store better bc the selection is slightly different but this one is still really nice as far as selection, cleanliness and all WinCo's are equal in pricing which is the real reason to go.
Great place to shop, affordable prices, pretty good produce for what it is. Most of the time, I can find what I am looking for and then some. Everything is easy to find and they have great options.
The company is horrible and violates labor laws, not paying 1.5 an hour like suppose to on labor laws. They violate people, violate women's labor union laws, and federal state holiday guidelines
Whatever you need, WinCo has it cheaper (most likely) and they're employee-owned. Just keep in mind they only accept certain types of payment so be prepared. Great bakery and deli departments.
Shelves are always stocked and the store is relatively clean, the carts are not always full and available just inside the door, but the employees are friendly and helpful if you need!!
Friendly clean and also rude people at the customer service department they had a huge attitude and unhelpful everyone else was amazing got cutest socks from the Claires section
Very slow on the delivery appointment, had to go inside to remind them that I am in the dock, apparently they forgot about me. And it’s by appointment time only. …
This place doesn’t take credit cards. No mention of this anywhere until you’re done checking out. It’s also a dump, looks like nothing has been cleaned or updated for 20+ years.
Prices are way way too high, especially since theres only a few checkout lines and self checkout always has 1 out of order. $4.29 for a can of potato soup is utterly ridiculous
Service is great. Good place to shop with low prices. Only thing is I’ve bought pork and hamburgers from here. Got ready to cook them and they smell rancid. Very disappointing
this five star goes to Carlos back in the meat department very nice respectful, unlike others willing to help answer questions and find alternatives if needed. A great worker
The prices are way better than most places. Employees are friendly-ish. The store is clean & organized but they could use more cashiers or more self check out tho.
Very clean and organized. It's so nice to shop at a grocery store where the workers seem to actually like their job . I got really great deals on meats there .
One of my favorites. Plus they have a lot of visible security. Bins are my focal point. The selection is amazing. The meat department smells good too. Fresh.
Do most of my food shopping there. In my opinion it's the best WinCo in Portland Oregon. Sorry I don't have photos I will try to remember next time.
Super busy, being only a couple days from Thanksgiving, but overall good. They were well stocked and pretty well staffed for the volume of shoppers.
Nice prices but it literally take 30 minutes to get out of here. Open some more self checkouts. This picture is from a Monday at 1pm for gosh sake.
Its win co always jam packed..lol I get what I need im outta there fast...its nice to see win co every day..thank you for being win ci foods..lol
Crazy long lines no matter the time of day. I only come here as a last resort. This photo shows the line that ends at checkstand FIVE.
I like this Winco, employees are nice and work hard to keep the place stocked and clean. The bakery has really high quality products.
The cashiers and etc are great. For the most part the groceries are too. Sometimes they don't carry products i use, but that's on me
I like this winco pretty easy to navigate I guess it's familiar to me I hate other winco with opposing floor plans confusing!!! Lol
Slow checker only one checker and to many people standing around when they could be working helping the people in line
L.p.t. seriously needs anger management and human decency lessons over heard him aggressively shouting at a customer
Sometimes vegetable is not fresh and some stuff is very faraway to grape or to pick up for example butter milk. Ex.
Good prices on groceries. Would like to see better quality of meat though. Checkers are friendly and courteous.
Never head issues here always find product well and easy well conditioned. Daph has always respected me.
There is no customer service in this place, the bathrooms are filthy in short, they are disgusting.
Lines can get very long to checkout but prices are good and the staff are helpful
Typical winco- I'm just not super fond of wincos in general.
Very fast, lots of food for a great price. Highly recommend
Best variety and lower priced. Even lower than Wal-Mart!!!
Bought a big load of shrimp and they were delicious!!
Nice people good prices
