Scary old cleaning lady who bullied me as a new member in lady’s room there as everything she wants. I have filed a lawsuit against her. I’ll go to your branch to ask her full name and sue her public insult me when I went there to do exercise and I put my sneakers beside my feet right after drying my hair and body I could put on directly. She may forgot her job title , she shouldn't have scolded any gym members in public when she felt unhappy on the first of new year, after shower I was chatting happily with my boyfriend on the phone call and about to put on shoes to leave, she yelled at me said I can’t put my sneakers on the floor when she is emotionlly break down even used the dirty broom sweeping angrily right beside my clean feet which I just showered and sighed unhappily. And she even wanted to continue the argument and yelled but I told her excuse me you yelled at yourself I will go to report her now because I have no time for her with silly argument. She said it is fine that if I wanted to report her scary behavior. So negative and so unpleasant! Excuse me! I used a tissue to dry my feet it is super normal if tiny piece of tissue was broken and fell on the floor , it is okay. She was immediately sweeping, such big and dramatic action, I wonder why ? she is very scary, started to murmerd loudly and siad that I am ill. I have been a loyal member since 2016, everyone put shoes with them on the floor after shower , if this cleaning person doesn’t know her position and tried to act like she was a store manger please take the consequences of what she did on the first day of new year! Terrible and scary experience! I will also cancel the membership with this Elite membership, I originally had whole Taiwan membership but then upgraded my membership to be able to enter 101 World gym, because I meet clients almost every weekends here which is convenient for me, no one wants to go there and I would never introduce any foreigner friends to go . It is like horror movie and it happened on 1-1-2024 On the phone My boyfriend suggested me to recored all conversations because he heard she was yelling at me so I will keep this to the judge. She hates people who speak English so much ! I did the same thing for the past 8 years in all beaches of World Gum, no one had ever scolded me with the normal thing I do at the lady’s room. If the gym hire cleaning lady like those emotional ones I worried about my own safety maybe next time she takes her broom to hit my face . We never know!

Overall, there are not many gym options in Taipei, but try a boutique gym. If you are looking for something super short term, there are many great public gyms in Taipei as well. After Alexander went bankrupt back in the day, World Gym knows they have monopolistic pricing power and take full advantage of members. Here's the detail of my 3-year experience at the gym. Equipment: The gym equipment is good, although I question their choice in numbers and types of machines. Treadmills are not well maintained -- the treads slip making for a dangerous ride. Treadmills often (once per 30 minute run) short circuit while I run on them at ~14km/hr, requiring me to switch treadmills and lose my workout information mid-routine. Price: Very expensive by Taiwanese standards -- at NTD2,288 for an all Taiwan access, it's as expensive as an NYC gym Service: The staff is friendly, however the gym is SUPER STINGY, to the point where it's annoying. For example, there's a rule that one may only use one towel per visit. That's fine, until someone spilled their beverage. I used my towel to wipe up the mess and requested a new one -- the gym staff kindly informed me of their one towel policy and refused to give me a new towel. Ease of registration/admin: Sales people are super aggressive in selling you memberships -- you MUST negotiate (yes, this is like a Chinese night market), and if you are a foreigner, be prepared to get ripped off. The gym makes it very administrative to do things like a) cancel your membership (requires an in-person visit to your original location), b) pause your membership when you go away for a period of time (requires a letter sent via certified mail and all sorts of evidence showing why you paused your membership).

This place is great if you live work nearby and go most days of the week; however, it does get quite busy during lunch and right after work. The prices are negotiable (shouldn't exceed 2000NT/month, I pay a couple hundred less and am able to use all the World Gyms in Taipei aside from other Elite locations) and the monthly fee is cheaper if you sign up for 2-3 years. A good way to figure out if you're getting your money's worth is to figure out how many days a week you require gym facilities and times that by 50NT (price of public, government-run gyms) and compare that to the price you're offered. It has the standard equipment of chain gyms which is well-maintained. Has 2 squat racks, lifting platform, landmine insertion, 2 barbell bench racks, 1 incline and 1 decline bench rack, standard cable and other weight machines, 2 back extension racks, 2 smith machines, and the dumbbells go up to 56kg (~123 lbs). They offer a variety of free classes for members (e.g. spin, yoga, etc.) and have a small functional training area and boxing ring. Changing rooms used to have combination locks built into the lockers which have since been removed (you have to bring your own locks now). They also have a jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna available. All the facilities are kept fairly clean.

Foreigners beware before joining here! very unfriendly environment towards foreigners, there are situations where people occupy the equipment even without exercising (they won’t accept to share), despite the rule of not doing so. The gym staff fail to keep up the rules and support the violators. However, recently upgraded with new weight equipments. clean with wide variety of equipment, beautiful view, not crowded, almost empty on weekends. But I found this gym to be darker. May improve lightings to make it more pleasant.

[Still dirty in SPA] Hi WorldGym 101 Elite, Could you please clean the spa water more often? It smells bad, and the surrounding of spa is dirty (wall, staircase, seat), please help clean it daily. Also please check all lockers, some are broken, you can literary split the upper and lower locker, so when someone is locked on lower locker, upper locker can just open the split between, and things will be exposed. This is important, please check all locker throughly and fix the broken one. Thanks WorldGym!

Location is undoubtedly the best in town. Equipments are getting dated. Bathrooms are filthy. The cleaning crew never bothered to look up in the ceiling and the vents are clogged with dust. The final draw for me is that the sales person is dishonest. Be careful if you choose to sign up and make sure you have everything written down. I specifically asked for a contract clause due to my situation which ended up to be untrue. Maybe someday their management might do their job and run the place properly.

看到網路優惠主動聯繫,要問詳情說一律現場說明,到了現場說優惠名額沒有了,浪費我的時間跟通勤費用,只是想把人騙去現場,其實不是針對該店,應該是整個活動設計就很有問題。不開心的點 1.說明活動名額沒了,是因為會先以會員親友為主,那這根本就不是優惠活動啊,就像你把所有商品都寫會員價但不讓我們申辦會員,看得到吃不到的優惠。 2.因為我有特殊需求只想要一個月運動時間（出差一個月）,看到活動寫專屬短期優惠才聯繫,結果現場人員說如果知道我只想一個月就不會叫我過去了,說我都沒講他們也不知道,問題是我要問詳情你們又什麼都不說。 3.像我們這種主動聯繫還自己乖乖過去的對你們來說是最沒成本的吧,結果竟然什麼都沒提供就一句不好意思打發走了,雖然說可以參觀但完全不知道參觀能幹麻,也沒說可以有教練課體驗或inbody,似乎是聽到我不會簽約一年就也懶得介紹了。 4.我就是想貪小便宜,但也是因為看到你們的優惠活動,想要的也只是跟網路一致的專案,結果這個優惠根本有跟沒有一樣,第一次去參觀健身房結果連進去都沒進去就離開了,真的超浪費我時間。花錢花時間去讓自己不開心還什麼都沒得到的一次經驗。

因為掃瞄QR的意見反應無法上傳圖片，只好在這裡評論。在這運動了快8年，一直很喜歡這裡的環境。但是今（28日）晚貴店的清潔和櫃台人員的反應實在令我嘆為觀止。浴室紅圈圈處的大面積積水要是有人滑倒怎麼辦？洗手間的積水都乾了大半還無人處理。最離譜的是，我第一次向櫃台人員反應，過了許久都不見有人處理。第二次我嚴肅的表達後，先說主管不在，又說要等另一位同事回來。我不懂這是什麼宇宙觀，為何立刻處理兩灘早就該處理的積水需要這麼多波折？主管不在連兩大灘水都無法處理的話，要現場工作人員幹嘛？主管不在的時候，店裡發生的狀況主管都不用管，那要主管幹嘛？你們真的太怠慢太消極了。請不要把我們客人體諒服務業的客氣當隨便！

Theses guys are incompetent and it’s not that great quality. I told them I wanted a monthly memeberzhip and they told me they don’t do it. But they then said I should wait to see what they could do. Then the lady comes in and tells me she can’t do anything.

Cade at the reception in 101 World gym is friendly, nice and super efficient with processing my membership renewal. Really pleasant to be greeted by a happy face. He and others are always very helpful. Very pleased with the service.

5 stars location, 5 stars monthly fee, but 2 stars maintenance/ equipment. The two ladder machines (only 2) are “under maintenance” for a couple of weeks already still no progress, and the changing is very dusty.

覺得很熱，然後跟櫃台說重訓區冷氣沒有開櫃檯卻說有，然後詢問是不夠冷嗎？經過飛輪教室，進去之後才知道什麼是「開冷氣」回來跟朋友討論時，旁邊不認識的人也覺得非常熱後來看到冷氣出風口的紙，動都沒動，然後跟我說有開？？？是世界員工訓練不足還是內部有問題還是該員工把我們當做有沒有開冷氣都分不出來？可以接受任何理由，甚至直接跟我說對沒開，但無法接受被這樣敷衍體驗真的遭透，等公司給我一個正常回覆再決定撤銷評論

The support person was dismissive of the service problem. The representative blamed it on the customer and offered no help. The manager was unable to communicate. It's the worst branch of the world gym.

Although it’s quite expensive for a gym membership, it’s so great to exercise here. The equipment is ok and the surrounding is also nice. Recommend for people who work around the place.
