I really really would love to give D'Italia 5 stars as it would mean I had an amazing, stress free experience and my dress was perfect but unfortunately for me this was not the case. It's tricky to review as the look in the end was what I had originally wanted and really loved but I found it a real battle to ensure it stayed that way and as a result I did not enjoy the process or the last minute nature of picking up my dress on the day of my wedding. The experience in the store was fine, it was more expensive than what I was expecting using their price guide on the website as what I wanted was a simple clean strapless white dress with a blouse overlay but it still came to the highest end of the range. I was put in touch with one of their designers and we went through the design together. She was so lovely and made lots of notes and suggestions. Unfortunately with lockdowns in between it made the process a bit more difficult, and the material was delayed and hadn't arrived in time for our main catch up to go through the bottom section fit and to decide things like whether there would be a split, train, etc. When our next appointment could finally go ahead, I arrived to my dress having the dress sewn with the material the wrong way (shiny not matte), a split had been cut and the top of it was still not straight like I had asked it to be multiple times (she was insisting it should be sweetheart neckline). These were all things we had spoken about many times already. The dress was un-picked and re adjusted to suit, I couldn't do much about the split but I was ok with this as we hadn't decided either way. The dress was finally starting to take shape with more minor changes along the way a few weeks before which was fine, she was always very accepting to changing things which I appreciated a lot, however the changes were just to get it back to what I had outlined in the beginning. I had my final fitting 4 days before my wedding and it still wasn't quite right (her notion), I went again the day before and she still wasn't happy with it and asked me to come back on my wedding day. So on my wedding day I had to leave everyone getting ready in the morning and go to pick up my dress. There, it was sewn twice more before I could take it home. It was lucky that I am a very relaxed person however this definitely impacted the day and was a stressful thing and it meant I couldn't really enjoy the whole morning of the wedding day. The dress ended up beautiful and looked the way I wanted it to from the beginning however because the material was over worked from it being the wrong way and everything, it still pulled at the back around and under the zip which is fine for a regular dress but spending $3000 you really want everything to be seamless, especially when there is no other beaded or lace detail to hide behind. Also when I went to bustle my dress, there was no button to attach the loop too, just another loop so the bottom of it got ruined as I had no way to hold it up. It was a pretty disappointing result after spending $3000, so while I loved my dress in terms of look, mainly the beautiful blouse, and my dress maker was lovely, I wouldn't recommend this. I am a very relaxed and happy person but it was a process of having to continually stay strong on what I originally wanted which and not let it be changed which was hard to do and then rushing to pick it up on the morning of my wedding impacted the whole morning.

I was fortunate to have my engagement ring passed onto me by my beloved grandmother, which my fiancé got remade in the same style with “his” diamonds being paved down each side of the band. My engagement ring has always been special to me, and I wished to find a dress just as magical. I tried on many dresses in bridal boutiques, but I always felt frumpy and didn’t feel special in any of them, nothing ever felt “right”. I always remembered seeing an advertisement last year (2013) for d’Italia in the Melbourne Wedding & Bride magazine, I thought about it so often that I eventually decided to make an appointment this year to view the beautiful fabrics and laces available. I am so glad that I did! As soon as I stepped through the door, and before I had even spoken to anyone, I had the immediate feeling that I had found my dress! Suzanna met me with a beaming smile and was an absolute delight to work with! As soon as she drew a sketch of my dress, I felt like she was my fairy godmother and already knew what I wanted! I was a truly an extremely happy bride-to-be after seeing my dress come to life on paper. Even though it was only a sketch, the dress was breathtaking and I got so excited! When she placed the french lace I would choose for my dress in front of me, I teared up and instantly knew that I had found “the dress”. The service provided to me was second to none, and I would highly recommended d’Italia to everyone! They stock a wide range of absolutely gorgeous fabrics for any function and for any budget! The best part was that I was treated like a princess and was placed upon a pedestal the entire time I was in the shop! I was truly impressed by the service and friendship that I received, and was left breathless by the quality and beauty of the fabrics, that I decided to also choose fabrics for my 4 bridesmaids, flower girl and ties for my beloved groom, groomsmen and page boy! Suzanna even went a step further by recommending a very lovely and dedicated couturier, who will soon be in the process of bringing my beautiful wedding gown and bridesmaid dresses to life. I cannot compliment Suzanna and Shuchi enough for their help and expertise through the entire process! I am extremely excited and happy to be able to say that I have had such a stress free time organizing my wedding gown for this November, and I will be able to tell everyone with pride that the beautiful Italian silks, satins and French laces for my gown and our entire bridal party were made from the gorgeous fabrics I found at d’Italia. From the bottom of my heart, I thank them very VERY much! <3

I did get the wedding dress of my dreams, but it was not from d’Italia. I decided to go to d’Italia for an initial appointment due to the positive reviews. I wanted a dressmaker as I had found the most stunning wedding dress at a trunk show and wanted something similar made. My initial observations were that I was being pressured to buy fabric as I was told I needed to make a decision ‘today’, otherwise it would not come from Europe in time. I did feel like this was a bit of a sales move at the time, but as I did not have any other options I decided to go ahead. I was then assigned a dressmaker who apparently made my style of dress. Once I met with her, she sent me two photos of previous work of a similar style gown and I realised I was not in the right place at all. A side note is that I did change the fabric (on the recommendation of the dressmaker) and that was no issue with d’Italia at all (no mentioning of Europe that time), which I found interesting. I am not going to share these photos here out of respect to those brides, but the dresses were truly awful. So awful, that a friend of mine thought I was joking when I showed her. Four months before my wedding I cut my losses and left d’Italia which was scary, but I just knew my dress was not going to be what I envisioned at all. Luckily, my story ends well as I ended up finding the most incredible dressmaker, who absolutely was my fairy godmother! On a side note, I showed my new dressmaker d’Italia‘s invoice and she said I really had been ripped off (it’s worth noting that I was given a discount of $900 too). Plus, the quality of the tulle was so stiff she was not able to use any of it. I would not recommend d’Italia, but if you do go ahead, I would ask plenty of questions about the dressmaker you are assigned and ask to see their previous work; even have a chat with them to get a sense if you will be able to work with them. Go hard and ask for a really good discount when purchasing the fabric and don’t feel pushed into making a decision!

What an experience… Having lost my Mum a couple of years ago, I was aware that the process of creating my dream dress would be an emotional and potentially difficult time for me. However, after meeting the girls at D’Italia with my sister by my side, I was put at ease as my dress was created on paper before my eyes. We then talked beautiful fabrics and of course the pearl veil and then Shuchi and Para referred me to my dressmaker for me to meet with. I can’t thank them enough for the guidance they provided throughout these early stages of the journey I was about to embark on. And then I met Mary. What a woman. A ray of sunshine and a beautiful, kind human with a flare for fashion and style. My dressmaker was something else. We met initially to discuss exactly what I wanted. The next consultation that followed included my measurements. Mary then created a mock up version in calico of my beautiful dress and I immediately knew it was right- it was just like my inspo pictures I had walked in with at the beginning. The following consultation provided me with endless opportunities to change the dress as I wanted, but Mary and I had always been on the same page and I had been so happy with everything she had done so I never had to change much at all! In the end, she had created my dream dress, one I had envisioned for years prior. I will be forever thankful for crossing paths with Mary- she helped to fill a very big void in my life at what is a very emotional and testing time and she created a masterpiece, different to any other gown I had tried on or seen. I can’t recommend her highly enough, or the girls at D’Italia for their professionalism and expertise. Thank you from the bottom of my heart- I will always reflect on the most timeless and beautiful dress, as well the process and people it took to create it, with fondness and love. ❤️❤️❤️

D'Italia, ALL MY DREAMS COME TRUE! I mean it completely. When I was 14 years old I was picking out my school formal dress when I spotted d'Italia's store. I told myself 'one day when I get married, d'Italia will make my dress'. Fast forward 18 years and I checked and d'Italia was still there and they had ONE SPOT left for me before my wedding date! From start to finish, it was the best experience - I sent in my dream design and they helped me choose the perfect Italian silk, working with my budget and taste (and mum's input always important, right?). Very affordable and they were clearly knowledgeable. I would say if anyone is unsure, just trust them :) They have lots of experience! I was then sent on to Eva who made the dress. She was the absolute BEST! I could not recommend her more. She listened to everything I had in mind and she explained her process as we went along. Honestly, I think she is magical and can do anything. She talked me into wearing a veil too and I'm so glad she did. We went from me wearing no veil to a 3m veil...so just a heads up, that can also happen and no regrets. It was perfect and the look would not have been complete without it. Eva is also just a wonderful person and I was sad when the process was over because I'm going to miss our fittings! We had so much fun! I have to add; there is nothing like the experience of having a dress made just for you. It fits like a second skin and is so comfortable to wear. I have never felt so good :) The only sad thing is that I don't get to wear my wedding dress every day for the rest of my life. I just want to say the biggest thank you to d'Italia, because I'm still in disbelief that you made it possible for me to be able to wear my ultimate dream dress. Thank you, thank you, from the bottom of my heart! x

I had gone into several different shops trying on many many wedding dresses, however, with each dress there was something about them I was not 100% happy with. My very last stop for the day was D’Italia. Myself and bridesmaid were greeted and attended to by Suchi. While I did not have an exact dress design or style in mind, just a budget, I showed her photos of what I had tried on that day, plus other photos of dresses I had saved previously as inspiration. She showed me their fabrics, and immediately fell in love with 2 specific styles - 1 fully beaded and 1 French appliqué lace pattern. Suchi helped pick out the underlay fabric and we draped them over each other so I could have an idea of what it would look like. They set me up with their dressmaker, the quote was within budget and from there, I was set! As this was pre-covid times, unfortunately I could not make it back down to Melbourne from Sydney with all the lockdowns that ensued. The dressmaker was up front with me, recommending I have the fabric posted up to Sydney and finding a local dressmaker to complete my design. I then spoke with the D’Italia staff who completely understood the situation. They reached out to a number of Melbourne couriers to find the most economical solution for me, and all within a matter of days the fabric was posted up to me. I was so incredibly happy with the way D’Italia staff handled everything from the beginning - the only disappointing thing was being unable to have the local Melbourne dressmaker do my dress. Nevertheless, I absolutely LOVED my dress thanks to the fabrics from D’Italia!

I first enquired at D'Italia as my first vendor and wedding pit stop in July 2021 (17 months before my wedding as I was super keen to get in there and tick off my wedding dress!) Though I had reached out firstly to request a custom wedding gown; on the day, I came with my sister and unexpectedly saw the 'Grace' gown (from their first ready to wear collection) hanging in the store. I knew I had to try it on immediately, and since then... the rest is history. I knew I had found my wedding gown. ❤️ I was madly in love with the corset design, with beautiful soft tulle textures, the romantic off the shoulder sleeves, finished off with the most intricate beaded overskirt detailing. This gown completely took breath away. Pala was right there from the start from the moment I zipped up the demo dress, and at the very end when my real dress had arrived in store. When she put the wedding veil in my hair... I truly felt like a real bride. But this customer experience wouldn't be complete without the help of Mary Andronis - the most gifted dressmaker, mother and boss lady! I am so grateful that you were able to connect me with a very experienced dressmaker like Mary, as the alterations that I required to make this the perfect wedding dress - were intricate and very very tricky! Especially making the loop through the beaded skirt AND also re-designing the tulle sleeves to represent the vision I had in my mind. After Mary's beautiful alterations - the 'Grace' gown was exactly my dream wedding dress and I couldn't have felt more honoured to wear it on the special day.

Awful! Would not recommend to anyone. If you are a size 8 and want someone to pick at flaws of your body choose Ditalia. I was told I had a boyish figure but then told if we took the dress in too much it would make my hips look bigger. How do woman with boyish figures have to hide hips? If it wasn’t for the people around me I would not have ended up with the dress I received. The cups of my dress were put in so my bust area looked very far apart and too big for my size. After 4 wedding postponements I fell pregnant and needed my dress taken out and the dressmaker I had said it couldn’t be done, I was told I would be too big and go buy a new dress and she will alter it. So after spending all that time and money just throw this dress away just because she didn’t want to take my dress out slightly. Please keep in mind I am not a big person and that I would be 4 months pregnant by the time I was to get married not 8 months. I had to find someone else who did help me very successfully take out my dress, she couldn’t understand why my original dressmaker from Ditalia who made my dress from scratch was not willing to help me. I was told it’s hard when you haven’t had a dress made before… pretty sure alot of women nowadays haven’t been through this process hence why it’s up to the dressmaker to help in the process. If I had my time again I WOULD NOT go with Ditalia nor recommend them and I would say go save yourself the stress and go by yourself a dress and get it altered if need be!

I had an underwhelming experience wedding dress shopping, not to mention that I was dreaming of dresses every night! Everything I tried on didn't fit me (I am a pear shape) and if it did the detailing was not at all my taste. I wasn't tempted at all to buy anything. I decided to find out prices for dressmaking and after being told by 2-3 others that it would cost at least 4-6k I was pretty miserable. By the end of the day I got in touch with D'Italia and told them my budget and what I was after. Suzanna promised me she would be able to keep it within budget and that I would get my dream dress. I went in the next day, chose the most gorgeous silk, lace and belt and then got set up with a dressmaker all within my budget (I even got a discount so that it stayed within budget). Suzanna kept her word, was relaxed, encouraging and put my mum and I at ease. She wasn't pushy with me, like other reviewers have said and I found the prices of the couture and fabric (combined) so much more affordable than any other professional place I have been to. A few hours later I called the dressmaker Mary and she was also so lovely. We set up an appointment to meet and chat about my dress for two weeks time. It's been an amazing day! I'd encourage any girl who has been disappointed in bridal shops to give D'Italia a go. They make you feel how a bride should feel - beautiful, relaxed, confident, in control and anticipating something great!

I had such a wonderful experience with d'Italia! After days of dress shopping and a lot of confusion, the moment I walked in and started chatting with Shuchi, I felt reassured straight away that getting a custom made dress through d'Italia was the perfect fit for me. Shuchi assured me that the fabrics and design I was choosing were correct, and teamed me up with a fantastic dressmaker, Dragana. I got to see her so many times over the year and a bit it took to make my dress, and was so overwhelmed with how well it all turned out. Such a different experience to sending measurements away and getting a finished product or buying a dress off the rack! Dragana was an absolute expert through the whole process and I trusted her implicitly. It was such a wonderful experience and I was so honoured to wear her beautiful masterpiece on my wedding day, knowing that I had a small hand in the overall look. I have already told all my friends who are getting married they must get a custom made dress through d'Italia, (one has already taken my advice!) and smile every time I drive past the store on Glenferrie Road. Initially I had planned to sell my dress, but with how wonderful the whole process was and how much it means to me now, I will be keeping it forever. I can't thank you enough Shuchi and Dragana, thanks for helping an average girl look like a princess for one day :) x

I absolutely adored my experience at D’Italia. When trying on dresses at multiple different stores, all the dresses were gorgeous, but I never got the ‘I love this’ feeling. D’Italia was recommended to me by a friend, I made the call the same day and 2 hours later I had an appointment. It was the best experience! I felt heard and the staff totally understood my vision. Sketches were made, fabric was chosen, and one hour later my wedding dress was chosen! It was the most surreal process. I was then ‘matched’ with a local dressmaker who specialised in the style of dress I was wanting. Tania was unbelievable. I began appointments with Tania 4 months from the wedding day and saw her every 3-4 weeks. Having unlimited appointments, taking as many photos as I liked, having the dress custom to my body - I have no words, THE BEST! I found when trying on dresses at other stores there were so many rules surrounding this and the dresses were ordered in a standard size and then altered. When D’Italia spoke to me about the process it was just the perfect fit for me. Fast forward to the 15/1/22, I put my dress on for our big day and IT WAS INCREDIBLE! I cannot thank the D’Italia team enough. You may be seeing some of my friends over the year! If you’re having any doubts or the dresses you’re trying are just ‘not right’ - have a chat with the girls!

I recently visited the wedding dress shop, dtalia, and was extremely disappointed with my experience. The staff was incredibly rude and treated me and my family with disrespect. They assumed that we did not have the right budget for a wedding dress and made us feel unwelcome from the moment we walked in the door. The staff was extremely nosey, asking intrusive questions about our budget and making us feel like we were not good enough to purchase a dress from their store. Their behavior was unacceptable and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. The customer service was also lacking, with the staff not offering any assistance or recommendations for dresses. They seemed uninterested in helping us find the perfect dress and instead just wanted to make a quick sale. The overall atmosphere of the store was unwelcoming and unpleasant, and I would not recommend this shop to anyone looking for a wedding dress. The staff's bad behavior and lack of customer service left a terrible taste in my mouth and I will not be returning to this shop in the future. If you're looking for a wedding dress, I would highly recommend finding a different shop with a friendly and welcoming staff who will make your experience a positive one. Dtalia is NOT the place for you.

I know that organising your wedding dress can be so daunting especially when you get at made as it is so hard to visualise the end product. I was similar to many other brides and had visited so many stores and nothing made me feel like a bride and felt tacky and poor quality. My nonna was also a dress maker and made my mums dress for her wedding so I knew that I wouldn't be 100% happy unless I got it made. The whole process from start to finish was amazing. Shuchi was great to deal with showing me all the beautiful fabrics and ordering the exact same beading as my reference image. She also created a drawing of my design which I will treasure forever and it was such a nice touch that I appreciated. I was then paired up with dressmaker Dragana, who specialised in dresses like mine. Her attention to detail and easy-going nature put my concerns at ease. She went above and beyond in the end to make adjustments with my bustle considering the wedding would be at a winery. On the final fitting I really felt like a bride as everything came together smoothly. This was the dress of my dreams and there was no better feeling than seeing my now husbands reaction and all of my guests! Remember to trust the process and you are in good hands

Trying on ready to wear dresses can be a really disheartening thing especially when you're not a standard size. Choosing d'Italia was the decision I made, because I now have a one of a kind dress that is made for my body and quite literally was so breathtaking. Shuci and my dressmaker Eva Tomala we're nothing but warm, kind and extremely wonderful from start to finish in my wedding dress journey. I felt so confident expressing my ideas and getting professional advice from both to make my dress a reality. The materials D'Italia offer are high quality, beautiful fabrics that really allow you to customise your gown completely. My lace and embellishment was sent straight from Paris and even more beautiful in person. Eva is the most talented dressmaker, she not only understood my vision but was able to make the design suit my body. I had complete trust in her (the process was already made hard by being based in the UK!) and she even made time for me to come home to Melbourne for 7 days and have the dress completed. Eva was truly a fairy godmother dressmaker! I cannot recommend team D'Italia enough, if you have a vision, they can make it happen!

Went to d'Italia this afternoon with minimal expectations and an open mind (as I didn't want to be disappointed) I hoped that I could speak with a professional about how I envisioned my wedding dress. The beautiful lady who greeted us eased me into the process of designing a dress that would suit me perfectly. After only a few minutes of chatting she got my vision right away and even began saying “I know this is your style” pointing to certain laces behind her, and she was spot on! She created a sketch within seconds of my vision and finally the image I had of my dress was right on the page in front of me - what a moment that was! With her assistance we narrowed down the perfect fabrics to use for my destination wedding in Bali and worked together to meet my budget. I am so grateful that I came here. I was treated so incredibly and with such patience. I’ve left today knowing that I have my perfect wedding dress, suited to my taste, my personality and to my body. I cannot wait to wear it. A huge thank you! If you have any concerns about designing your own dress, don’t because you won’t reject it; d’Italia will make your vision a reality.

After multiple consults at other boutiques to try on dresses, feeling like nothing would fit me with many places only stocking small sample sizes, to uncomfortable dresses with cheap material, then a lockdown that prevented me from further looking. I was then SO glad to come across D'Italia! After a virtual consultation during lockdown I finally felt like I had found my dream dress! I only had 7 months remaining till my wedding and D'Italia were the only place that didn't make me feel panicked. During the consult they listened to what I was after and drew up exactly what was in my head, it was amazing & I couldn't help but cry with relief. On top of excellent service, Shuchi is just so down-to-earth and easy to get along with. Every visit was just a perfect mix of professionalism and fun! I was even fortunate to have ditalia help with making my mums' dress as well. The service and care was just out of this world, far more than what I could ever expect or hope for, honestly. I am so grateful and appreciative of the love and care ditalia team put into their work. When you love what you do, it really shows and my dress is a true testament to that. I could not recommend ditalia highly enough. If you want someone who genuinely cares and has the creative drive to reach your wedding gown goals,they will go above and beyond.

I had tried on quite a few wedding dresses but could never find exactly what I wanted, there were always bits of one that I liked and parts of another. I came across d’Italia and went through my inspo photos and described what I was looking for. Shuchi was amazing and was able to bring my design to life with the initial sketchings to choosing my amazing fabric. I was really excited to go through the process of a couture gown, something that was made for me. Once the fabric arrived in Australia I met with my dressmaker Vicky and the process was magnificent. We worked closely together and bounced ideas off each other throughout the whole process until we ended up and the dress I always wanted. I felt so comfortable in my dress and I am eternally grateful to Vicky and Shuchi for giving me the dress of my dreams… it’s a shame I’ll only wear it once! If you are looking for a custom couture gown you have found the right team to bring you dream into reality.

I had the most incredible experience with the team at ditalia. I had tried on a number of dresses and couldn't find what I wanted in store at a reasonable cost, enter ditalia! I came in the last weekend before lockdown 1 with my crazy vision and Alyssa was so kind and helpful in helping me achieve me vision. I had so much fun choosing the fabrics and playing designer. After many lockdowns and a postponed wedding I could finally work on my dress with Eva who was incredible! She helped me work on the dress without telling me what I should do, she made sure my opinions were heard and implemented. Eva had such attention to detail and made sure everything was perfect. I felt so incredible on the day. I would absolutely recommend this process to people like myself who are struggling to find the right dress or want something a bit different. Plus you have a great flex when when people ask where you got your dress and you can say 'I designed it'.

I had the most amazing journey with D'Italia creating my custom dream wedding dress! From designing it myself, to getting expert advice on buying the appropriate fabric, the whole process was a very special and fun experience. From the beginning, everything was explained really well. I was taken through the beautiful silk fabrics and French lace and was given advice and guidance on what would work best for my dress. I was referred to an experienced dressmaker who understood my design. After a number of dressing fittings, my dress was ready and I was blown away by the end result – it fitted me perfectly and was exactly what I wanted for my destination wedding in Bali. I can't thank Shuchi and the team at D'Italia enough for their expert knowledge, the dress wouldn't have been what it was without the correct fabrics to start with! After exhausting my options at almost every bridal store in Melbourne I found that I liked certain parts of many dresses but not one dress alone. In desperation I emailed d'Italia only 8 months out from my wedding hoping they could help. I found the initial consult to be quite pushy where I had to be absolute on my choices from the get go. As I didn't have a dream dress in mind and had no idea about what fabrics I wanted or would be best suited to my design I walked away feeling really unsure and a lot of anxiety about my end result. This resulted in many back and forths with my dressmaker and a lot of anxiety on my behalf about what I wanted, and what my end result would look like. I would recommend d'Italia but only to brides who are certain on their designs and have a clear image of their desired dress prior.

I had found the dress of my dreams but unfortunately wasn't able to afford the designer price that went along with it. After emailing D'Italia to ask whether they might be able make a similar dress for my wedding in six months time, I was booked in the very next day to talk about my dress design and choose fabric. Despite cutting it very fine with my timeframe, the lovely Suzanna was able to pull some strings and get me booked in with a dressmaker. I was even able to make a few changes to the original design I had seen to tailor it more to my individual tastes and inject some of my personality. D'Italia's beautiful range of fabrics and laces are high quality and absolutely stunning. I am so excited to see my dress take shape over the next few months and am thrilled that I will have a beautiful, one of a kind dress made to fit me perfectly.....and all for a reasonable price! Can not recommend D'Italia enough!!

I just want to say a huge thank you to D'Italia for helping me to create the perfect dress for my daughter's wedding in early March this year. After struggling to find that perfect dress in the stores, I was amazed when Shuchi had so much patience, knowledge and ideas to help me pick fabrics and refine the style I had in mind. One of the best decisions I made for the big day was to go through d'Italia for my dress. I knew I wanted a long sleeve gown for my winter wedding but really couldn't find anything that used high quality lace that wasn't priced at an obscene amount. I went through and picked out a variety of lace options that was within my budget and at no time was I ever pressured into looking at the most expensive lace, it was all about what would look and work best with my design concept and body. Once the perfect fabric was found, I was assigned to a dressmaker that would be suited to carry out my idea. The entire process was easy, and I loved seeing my dream dress come to life. Dragana was incredible to work with and made me my perfect dress. I personally think if you want genuine lace and not the overpriced polyester then look no further, their fabric is truly stunning and worth every dollar.

I had met with Suzanna yesterday to discuss the design and fabric of my wedding dress. She was very helpful and made the process very enjoyable from start to finish. She allowed me to be in charge of the design and fabric choices from a range of beautiful options, providing her advise and recommendations to attain my dream dress. She was very patient and knew exactly what would suit me after only minutes of chatting. She worked with me to stay within my budget and brought down the price as much as possible while not affecting the quality of the dress. I will be part of the dress making process with the seamstress, so nothing is left to chance. My dress will turn out exactly how I envisioned and I am excited to see the final product! All the staff there are very lovely and helpful to deal with. I highly recommend d'Italia.

D’Italia made the whole wedding dress experience completely stress free and enjoyable from the moment I walked into their Malvern store. I honestly couldn’t speak more highly of the customer service, willingness to work with my shorter time frame, knowledge of beautiful fabrics and of course the overall execution of my dress! My dressmaker was an absolute dream to work with - at each appointment she instilled more and more confidence in the final product and I always walked away feeling at ease with what we were creating. What a beautiful wedding dress experience I had thank you ditalia, I booked an appointment with d'italia hoping they could help me as I am a plus sized bride and I couldn't find anything that would work for me in any other store. After my consultation I came out with a smile from ear to ear. Not only could Shuchi put together my dream wedding dress, but I could be involved in every step of the process and the price was not eye watering!! What a fantastic experience I had with D’Italia. Shuchi was so helpful in fabric selection to suit my figure and the dress style, I had 3 layers of fabric, all great quality, including custom ivory coloured glass beading, which looked so beautiful, and sat perfectly. After having to postpone our big Hindu ceremony 3 times, my partner and I made the last minute decision to just get married in a perfectly intimate civil ceremony. I emailed the team at D'Italia with my request and they got back to me within hours. Despite being so busy they squeezed me in and I had an appointment with them the next day to talk budget, design and fabric. I was then immediately set up with a couturist, Judith Penak. Judith arranged for weekly trials to ensure the dress was exactly what I wanted and everything fit perfectly. Within 3.5 weeks I had a beautiful custom made dress! The entire team was just so response to my requests and time efficient. I am still in awe of how quickly it all came together. I cannot recommend D'Italia and Judith enough.

I had the most incredible experience with d'Italia. From the moment i walked in I felt welcomed and like I was in the right place. After months of trying on wedding dresses and speaking with dress designers I was starting to fear I would have to compromise on my dream dress. They are amazing! I went there yesterday to speak with them about creating my dream wedding dress and they were so knowledgeable, patient and helpful. Shuchi was my consultant and she was brilliant. Shuchi took her time with me and explained the process of having the wedding dress made and then helped me pick not only the most perfect fabrics but the right colour tones for my complexion. It was such a beautiful experience to be able to have so much say in in my wedding dress. After the fabrics were chosen, I was given the details of my bridal couturier and I can not wait to watch my wedding gown be created. D'Italia were an absolute lifesaver in a sea of dresses that didn't quite hit the mark for me. I had a very specific vision in mind when I contacted them and Pala (my designer), alongside Vicky (my dressmaker) 100% delivered in every way. Pala helped me out with the process of putting my vision down on paper and making sure it was something that would work for me, as well as choosing beautiful fabrics that worked amazingly well. Vicky then brought my design to life, solving problems with me to make it fit me the way I wanted and ensuring my dress was perfect for my wedding day (including making sure I could dance in it properly!). I loved my experience with d’Italia. During Covid lockdowns the designers Shuchi and Pala really helped me out and linked me with the most amazing dressmaker to make my dress in time. I was really struggling to find any dress that worked with my body shape. The girls at d’Italia understood my vision and sketched out exactly what was on my mind. I was able to choose from a variety of the most beautiful bridal fabrics and colours I have ever seen! I am so happy the girls were able to custom make and change the beading I fell in love with to the colour I wanted. Ditalia made my wedding dress and all of my bridesmaid’s dresses. Alyssa helped me with everything from choosing the fabric to the detailing on the dresses. I had an idea of what I wanted the dress to be and was quite specific and particular on areas -- but then she also gave very helpful input and direction throughout the process.In the end, I ended up with a dress I was very proud of and had SUCH amazing reviews. My ditalia wedding dress is the best thing I've ever worn. I literally did not want to take it off. The ladies in store were so lovely and helpful and helped me to choose the most beautiful lace. I live in the Northern Territory and they were really accommodating of the fact that I could only make infrequent trips to Melbourne for fittings. I was a little nervous about getting a dress made, but it turned out to be exactly what I wanted and even better!
