Overall a pleasant stay, for the price of staying however its a little tired and starting to show weariness with little innovation or improvement. Room was clean, but had a horrible odour we had to leave the windows open, can only describe it like the room was washed with a dirty mop and left empty for a week! Bathroom looking tired and grubby. Otherwise comfortable, decent heating etc Bar - expensive, but to be expected at a hotel. Location is fantastic and the car parking on site is the biggest bonus for us, the overnight rate is ok but wouldn't like it to get more expensive, and location to the tram brilliant. Your staff are lovely, friendly and welcoming. We priced for next year for another concert and your room rate was 375 euro without breakfast. Catch a grip!

Pleasant - not brilliant
Safety
Felt grand - no real issues, walked back from Bord Gais around 10pm and it felt relatively safe (as long as you are aware of your surroundings)
Food & drinks
Expensive. Small breakfast area for number of staff, but plenty for everyone and staff work hard

We had a very enjoyable stay, access to the City with the Luas stop right outside is brilliant. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The in room "extras" for our package were beautifully presented. Our meal was very enjoyable, very tasty and the service was friendly and efficient. If we had a negative comment it's that public areas are a bit chilly. We would recommend The Gibson for a stay in Dublin.

Lovely atmosphere, helpful staff, good rooms with everything you need, bar good, and food really good, and location near to town centre but not in the middle of it. I had a Great stay. Thank you... Everything was really good but for me it was definitely the staff (and it was every staff I met.) that made the stay so good, their attitude was so welcoming, and friendly, whilst maintaining professionalism.. Just one thing to point out my twin room had plastic flooring and my bed was on wheels, so just a bit of a health and safety point. I was unaware the bed was on wheels, so when I first went to sit on it it moved and I nearly ended up on the floor. Just a minor point. Thank you XXX

We have stayed at the Gibson Hotel several times before , so we brought our friends to Dublin and this hotel. Great location, good food and fantastic and wonderful staff especially Adrian who is a credit to the hotel. We are definitely returning we our adult children next year. Another bonus is the tram is just outside the hotel and runs every 10 minutes to the city and costs about 5 euros for an all day ticket. Thanks again Tony,Kirsten, Stewart and Joy

My partner and I stayed at the Gibson Hotel for a three day trip to Dublin. The rooms were spacious with a decent size bathroom. The location is definitely not very central but it’s easy to get around with the tram stop right outside and it’s quiet at night. The room was overall clean but definitely a lot of wear and tear in the bathroom and carpets and the shower did not have a consistent temperature which was slightly annoying. Comfortable bed and very friendly and attentive staff. The breakfast buffet was good but definitely on the expensive side.

Fantastic hotel, family room was spacious and beautifully decorated, we had dinner in the restaurant, food and service was fabulous! Had lunch in the restaurant/bar, we were served by Eric, who was soo lovely and friendly, he's actually the reason we give 10 stars, he couldn't have been nicer or any more helpful, brilliant! 10 out of 10, we will definitely return, one of the nicest hotels and staff

Great mid-range hotel option in Dublin’s Docklands. Convenient location with a tram stop directly outside the hotel doors. Well equipped and spacious rooms - our room benefited from a terrace balcony which was a lovely addition. We had breakfast at the hotel on one morning of our stay and it was an extensive selection of continental and cooked options. Plenty of gluten free and vegetarian options available for breakfast if required.

You’re better off staying in a hostel. The doormen on the night of Inhaler took pleasure in seeing my disabled mother struggle to enter the building and wouldn’t even let me assist her to her room as apparently her room was only ‘for one’. Staff at hotel are unhelpful and I’d recommend you stay literally anywhere else. The only positive is the that U2 artwork on the wall is really cool. Everything else is a no. Especially the staff.

The staff and surroundings and atmosphere were all fantastic! The room was clean and lovely. Unfortunately the food in teh bar especially as a vegetarian was extremely limited and to be honest not that good Apart from the food the hotel was fabulous!

The hotel is very well located and easy to access, the restaurant and bar were also very good. The only downside was that the rooms didn't have shampoo, and there was a film shooting in the entrance that blocked access to the elevator. We had also requested not to charge the bill on the card we used for reservation, but this request was not honored. Other than that, everything was great!

Fantastic hotel located right next to 3 Arena and the Red Luas line. Very friendly staff, top class rooms and both a bar and restaurant serving food. The buffet breakfast was top class along with dinner we had in the restaurant featured in the TV show ‘First Dates’. The large suite that we had had great facilities including tea and coffee along with a fridge.

Lovely hotel, clean and enjoyed the relaxation rooms at the top of the hotel, very close to the 3 arena so great if you are attending the venue for a concert and lots of eateries, staff very polite and efficient. Also just opposite the last stop on the red line of the Luas so very easy to get there from city centre or Heusto train station. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great location just outside of the city centre but with a few restaurants below & a tram stop right outside the front door. 15 minute drive to the airport. Staff were lovely & helpful, even when I asked to change from a twin to a double room upon check in, everything was catered for. Nice breakfast and huge, modern & sleek rooms.

The room we had was quite spacious. One of the walls was all glass so we could really hear the wind and it was coming through the windows a little. The receptionists are very friendly and helpful. The location is good cuz it’s right at the tram stop. There’s not much to do in the area though, maybe it’s just quiet after Christmas.

Really nice hotel. Interesting relaxation room with a wet and dry sauna as well as two bath tubs on the patio and a foot soak which I’ve never seen before. Restoration was going on. We had a patio door that you can walk out on but it’s kind of a strange area that nobody would want to go out there…

This hotel has amazing modern architecture, a great restaurant, and even better customer service. It is located close enough to downtown Dublin that you can get there in a few minutes but far enough away to be quiet at night. The only bad thing I have to say about it is that the water in the shower can't hold a consistent temperature. More

Mathias was very helpful when we arrived. The beds are comfortable. Service and cleaners were pleasant. The hotel is right near the tram which was great and they do have parking for a fee. The price was good as well!

We have stayed at this hotel a couple of times with good experiences. Booked a junior suite. Room cold when we arrived, turned on the heating, waited 10 mins, still no heat. Rang reception who told us to wait a further 10mins for it to heat

The hand soap dispenser in room 663 was broken, I had to take the top off and glide my hand down the pump to get some soap! I presume other guests who wash their hands have to do the same thing as I did, which makes it unhygienic

Lovely hotel great location. Asked for a quiet room, was near some kind of generator and a humming sound all night. Could have been a brilliant review, if only for the humming More

Had an absolute joy of a time at the Gibson. We were served by Pete, who was warm, friendly, and professional. It was such a delight. The food was delicious and a fair price.

Overall disappointing for how expensive & for it being a 4 star hotel. Cons: Shampoo feels like it is mostly water, & shower doesn't seal well so water
