Went to try the Singapore Noodles as that can only be found outside Singapore. It is good and the minced pork fried rice too (has good wok hei, "wok fragrance"). Very friendly lady co-owner who on identitying us as Singaporeans from our accent, immediately informed the cook to cook the food to suit Singapore palate ie less sweet & salty. Had a nice chat with her. Went back again 2 weeks later on the night before flying off as Lauderdale is very near Hobart International Airport. This time, the husband is there as the lady was off. He is very friendly too & we had a good chat. Highly recommended for good food and friendly owners.

We'd been to @rice a few times for lunch, the food was so good, that my daughter decided that's where she wanted to have her family get-together birthday dinner. I booked several days ahead, had a phone conversation with the owner, who offered to send a copy of the menu, and also said she was happy to do a banquet style meal. 12 of us arrived, I ordered pairs of our selected main courses and dumplings, and they were all brought out, piping hot and delicious. All the staff were lovely, warm and welcoming. It felt like nothing would have been too much trouble. I would unreservedly recommend @rice to anyone wanting well prepared , fresh, tasty food, and I know we will go back, both in smaller groups, and probably again with the extended family. Thank you for such a fantastic evening.

차분한 동네에 위치한 차분한 아시안 식당. 다양한 메뉴가 준비되어 있었고 아시아 사람으로서 모두 먹음직스럽게 보였다. 고민 끝에 Chef special 중 Mapo topu 를 선택했고 불맛, 야채, 그리고 향신료가 음식의 높은 퀄리티를 나타냈다. 다음 방문에는 Sushi bowl 을 먹어볼 예정이다. 의도된 바인지 모르겠으나 주관적으로는 Mapo topu 의 간이 지나치게 짜다고 느껴졌다. 밥과 함께 먹는 요리임을 고려해도 과하지 않나 싶었다. 또한 밥과 함께 먹는 요리임에도 기본 제공되는 밥이 없다는 점이 많이 아쉬웠다. 차라리 밥 한 그릇을 포함하여 가격 책정을 하는 것이 낫지 않을까 생각이 들었다. (23. 5. 9 재방문) Teriyaki chicken sushi bowl 을 먹었고 대만족. 왜 sushi bowl 인지는 잘 모르겠지만 매우 맛있게 먹었다. 한국인으로서 익숙한 Wakame(미역)이 들어갔는데 다른 재료들과 꽤 괜찮은 조화를 이룬다. 개인적으로 간은 여전히 조금 짠 편이라고 생각되었다.

If you’re into real chinese/asian food, this is the right place to eat! This was our first real meal after our long flight from Manila and it was the best choice!! We even met the chef that night who helped us check apps that can help us see aurora australis. He was really friendly! We find the black pepper beef a bit salty, but you can always request for a less salty one and they can accommodate it! such aa surprising feast, we even went back the day after to grab some asian food again, it is that good!

Another fabulous eating experience in Lauderdale. We eat in or take away at least once a week. I love their sushi bowls but steadily working through their delicious menu. You can't go wrong here. Delicious ...and the team here are friendly and justifiably proud of every dish.

Seriously good Asian food here at Rice! Had the sweet chilli chicken fried rice and was so surprised to see pearl rice being used (the best for fried rice imo). It was really flavourful and none of that greasy stuff you’d usually get. The surprising star was the fried dim sim… would go back just for that P.s, Glad to meet a fellow southeast Asian all the way here at Tasmania!! All the best!

Definitely 5 out of 5 stars! One of the best asian restaurant that I have tried in Australia. The restaurant is very clean, the service is very warm and welcoming. The food is delicious and brought back memories of my Hongkong culinary trip... and as everyone says, also a generous serving. The dumpling with the crepe base is a briliant idea! Gives crunchiness to the soft dumpling.

We stopped here for an early dinner before our flight, and it did not disappoint. The best fried rice I’ve ever had, and the portion sizes were incredible. If we are ever back in TAS it would be on the list to visit again. Friendly staff too!

This is legitimately one of if not the best Asian restaurant I've been to in Australia. Reasonably priced. The food is fantastic - I had the salt and pepper pork and the mapo tofu and they were both incredibly well done. It's a good cafe vibe instead of an upscale place. Absolutely worth the visit.

This is a hidden gem not far away from Hobart centre. A family friendly restaurant that serves delicious Asian cuisine with a bit of fusion twist. All dishes were of generous portions with great presentation, and full of flavours. Clean restaurant and friendly staff. Highly recommend. More

Ate here as our last night on our trip before flying back to Sydney. Expected a quick feed but was pleasantly surprised by the speed, quality and service. Felt more like we were eating at a family’s place. Hearty meals after a long day of hiking and a good way to end our trip.
