I still remember those floodlight cricket tournaments, the sunday redball test matches and those football tournaments which once used to heppen in the stadium long time ago. As the real purpose of Satluj Stadium Chunian was to facilitate the public of City and tehsil Chunian with the healthy sports environment and hospitality. Satluj Stadium Chunian was developed to promote the sports and to encourage the youth towards physical, healthy sports. The actual purpose of sports is to teach the sportsmen sprite and to make one physically and mentally healthy and the grounds/Stadiums given by the government is to make sure the public is enjoying the pleasures of sports. But the story of Satluj Stadium Chunian is entirely opposite. Once it was a good, well-grassed and fresh stadium with a proper ground and sports room like facilities But with the passage of time... due to the extreme negligence and corruption of the local political and local government authorities: the historical Satluj Stadium of tehsil Chunian became nothing but a muddy fragment of city's land surrounded by horrible unsecured wrecked walls. This Satluj Stadium of tehsil Chunian, Kasur which is also the historical tehsil of Pakistan has become nothing but a place for weeding ceremonies of elites, Janazgah for deads and a platform for drug addicted planes(nashai/jahaz).. whereas poor Satluj Stadium also serves the people of city Chunian to offer their eid prayers twice annually. But the question is ... why still it is called a Stadium? Whereas there is no grassed ground to play football, no proper pitch to play cricket, no court to play hockey or any other Stadium oriented game then why people still call it a Stadium? Strange... .. Being a citizen of Chunian It's really hard to say it is not a Stadium anymore. Neither there is a proper jogging track, nor shade for audience to sit... and not to forget there is not even a single tubelight or bulb in the whole so called "Stadium" . The Stadium is really in a bad shape nowadays. The stinky toilets of the Stadium are always pathetic and out of order... walls of the stadium are filled with cheap advertisements of sastay hakeems, GSM offers and academics tuition plans. No sports environment... nothing.. Just a shortcut for pedestrian to avoid Chungi stop(a stop for busses to collect city entrance token). Moreover if someone tries to organise any sports gala or tournament in the Stadium. The worthy administration of the tehsil asks for the fee therefore noone dares to waste his/her money and time. it looks a joke that the authorities asks for fee for using such a pathetic unplayable play ground but seriously it just happened with a friend of mine. .. nevertheless the day and night hardwork and extreme honesty of the local political and government authorities led Satluj Stadium to this shape... Still not only authorities are to be blamed but the public itself should take some sincere steps to keep the Stadium in a good shape. I have lot more to say but i think its enough to explain the current appearance of our "The Satluj Stadium" and the dutiful behaviour of our local political and government authorities as well as the affection of our irresponsible public towards the Stadium. Hope so the day will come again when it will be a real Stadium again IN SHAA ALLAH.

This place is so excited for gaming and enjoy with your friends . Here different types of games are played by different people. Here many matches are held on different occasions. Many people visit here for early morning walk and for health and fitness. Here you really enjoy with your friends. Come and see wait and watch is the best way for entertainment

Satluj Stadium Chunian is a most fortunate place for our city Chunian. Most of the boys plays in this play ground. Cricket is the most famous game which is played in this ground but this ground is approximately registered as a foot ball ground under sports board punjab.

A very good stadium for chunian It is a single stadium in chunian where all kinds of sports and games take place such as cricket and football Tournaments of these games also in this stadium

Good place for exercise and jogging track around. However there is little grass left in the ground with continuos use and no care.

Good place for walk and cricket playing But there is no good system for removal of rainy water and not good place for sitting

Want to work on it . And management issues are there . That's why there people don't want to visit it it wants management .

Needs lots of maintenance. There is no sitting place of people under shades in hot 46 degrees day
