Be aware when flying in Nepal. The fatal air crash in Nepal on Sunday adds to the Himalayan country’s reputation as the most dangerous place to fly on the planet. According to Aviation Safety Network data, the fatal crash was the 11th in Nepal in as many years. Only last May, 22 people died when a Tara Air flight came down en route from Pokhara to the trekking base of Jomsom. The latest tragedy, the deadliest since 1992, has led to a spate of tourist cancellations, according to travel-industry executives, costing the country vital revenue. Lukla has the unenviable 20 year reputation of being voted the most dangerous airport in the world. Yet Pokhara airport has more sophisticated air traffic control systems, more favorable weather conditions and a runway with greater margins for safe commuting....but Over 8 years I've flown into and out of Kathmandu 7 times, into and out of Lukla 4 times and Pokhara 3 times and been paragliding 3 times in Pokhara. In 2023, I plan to fly back to Kathmandu. If I fly domestically again is uncertain.

Small but nice airport.. with basic amenities and very quick boarding and fast security...only issue is weather should be favourable...else u can stuck badly watching movies sitting at airport. WiFi is bit weak and only accessible in 1st floor food court...view of airstrip from first floor is very beautiful...landing is bit adventurous..and for few minutes our heart was in mouth while landing in Kathmandu from Pokhara. All the best

It is very well managed airport. Peace and loving place. पाेखरा विश्वकै उत्कृष्ट पर्यटकीय गन्तव्य हाे । यसकाे बयान जतिगरे पनि पुग्दैन । माछापुछ्रे हिमालकाे दृश्यावलाेकन, उपयुक्त हावापानी, सफासुघ्घर अादी कारणले पाेखरा विमानस्थल उत्कृष्ट छ । यसका साथै अब बन्न लागेकाे नयाँ बिमानस्थलले पाेखरालाई अझै बिश्वकाे नजिक बनाउनेछ । सबैले एकपटक पाेखरा भ्रमण गरौँ । Visit Nepal 2020 लाई सबै मिलेर सफल पाराौँ ।

Small domestic airport in Nepal, Pokhra. Kathmandu to Pokhra flight time 20 mins only. Kathmandu to Pokhra road journey is 8 hours. Many airlines like Budhaa, yeti, guna available. Frequent delay and rescheduling of flight happen during winter season (due to low visibility), but they manage well by inter flight or inter airline passengers shifting. Overall, good experience.

नेपालको अति नै सुन्दर सहर मध्येको एक सहर पोखरामा रहेक‍ो विमानस्थल को तस्विर हो यो । नेपाल संघिय गणतन्त्रमा गएपछि तत्कालीन ४ नं प्रदेश हाल गण्डकी प्रदेशको राजधानी सहर समेत रहेको यो स्थान माछापुच्छ्रे हिमालको काखमा फेवातालले भरि भराउ रहेको छ अवस्य घुम्न जानुहोला । यहाँबाट जोमसोम को नियमित उडान हुने गर्दछ ।

The airport is really small in size. The smallest I've ever been in. It is clean but doesn't have much in it, do to its size. It's also very organized. As a foreigner who doesn't speak the local language; I was able to do everything and get to where I needed both during arrival and later departure.

Small airport with a great view. It comes with basic amenities and fast boarding. Flight schedule depends on weather conditions. Baggage collection was a very wonderfull experience :). It was a very nice and exciting experience to fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara and Pokhara to Bhairahawa Airport.

Veeery small airport, but with an astonishing view of the Annapurna range and Macchapucchre (Fishtail) mountain. There is a small shop after you check in and also a restaurant in the check in area. Taxi to the city is 300 Rupies and takes 10 min, is only 3km away.

Beautiful airport surrounded by views of Himalaya...it is one of the busiest airport , and welcomes thousands of tourist.. beautiful decoration..it's departure building has breastfeeding room which is very unique in itself..it also has playing area for toddlers..

It's just nice when it's not busy. It's getting very noisy and hot with busy passengers because it's quite small The security check is also different, compared to many airports. Easy to access and get to the bus parking area. The staff is friendly. …

The cafeteria of the airport is what i liked the most. Not the food but the view from here makes the delayed time worthwhile so if your flight get delayed, just hang in the cafe and enjoy the view with the refreshing mojito and other foods ❤️ …

This is small and beautiful airport. Overall it is too beautiful, has maintained the quality of Pokhara. Neat, Tidy and Beautiful. The only negative is:- it is directly attached to road. So for security concern, it would be better if runway was far.

An airport with a view! Pokhara definitely hosts the best view of annapurna range! Quaint and busy as usual. The first floor restaurant offers the best views (not tried the food though! :))

Well managed and clean. It is a small airport with good facilities. They have a place for a children's playground and a breastfeeding area, which is good. Staffs are just ok.
