I stayed here just before Christmas of 2023. The hotel was nicely decorated for the season. The overall experience during my one week stay was overwhelmingly positive. Hence the 4 stars. The reason for not giving 5 stars was 2 incidents with staff at front desk and breakfast. What makes a 5 star hotel stand apart is the way their staff goes out of their way. I did not feel that level of assistance during my stay.

Absolutely brilliant spread for Breakfast. I truly enjoyed it except for one incident. I requested Dosa from the action station and on the first day she was struggling to make it. Which is fine as I understand the process. Next day when I asked she said she will send to my table and never did. As that is also understandable I let it go. But third day again it was repeated. That's when I stood my ground and requested it again for the second time and finally got it. I wondered if I was treated differently as a South Asian visitor at the hotel.

The room I stayed in was fantastic. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and everything was spotlessly clean. The hotel maintains an excellent standard of amenities, and I particularly appreciated the use of high-quality products from Byredo, adding a touch of luxury to my stay. One of the standout aspects of my visit was the exceptional customer service. The staff were not only helpful but also welcoming, making me feel right at home. The hotel lounge was a particularly pleasant space to unwind and enjoy the welcoming atmosphere. On the downside, the hotel's location may not be its strongest suit. While it's convenient, it's worth noting that the metro is still under construction, so the surroundings might improve in the future. My only significant concern during my stay was the rather steep service charge, which I found to be quite expensive. While the overall experience was positive, the cost did leave a bit of a dent in my wallet.

Really nice place in a very busy and main location of Dhaka. The central ball room was so big and nicely decorated with all kinds of facilities for all kinds of events. The food was so good with very friendly staff. But limited area of parking. Difficult and not convenient entry if you don't have your car when you try to enter into this hotel.

I went to Dhaka for emergency work. Stayed there at Hotel InterContinental Dhaka, had a wonderful day. The food was nice and the location was great. We walked to most things, but public transportation and tours were also close by. The breakfast every day was really good and we could each eat on our own schedule. Next time InterContinental Dhaka we will definitely stay there.
