This is one of the 1st class fire stations (There are three classes in Bangladesh Fire Service) in puran dhaka.They also have a river section and ambulance section. Recently two bike petroling unit has been added in this station. This station also contains staff quarters. More than 40 staff family lives in here. They also have a quick response record. If you are in old town in dhaka near the Buriganga river and you are in a disaster then you know whom to call :).

The first fire service in Dhaka. It was the main office of the department. Later the main office was shifted to the Najira bazar area and this became the branch office. Since many decades this fire service and civil defence department is fighting fire accidents and other disasters successfully. They are not equipped with all the modern facilities but yet they have the courage to save the civilians from any fire disasters.

the life saving force pointed a station here. They're tried to get the place of dangerous situation in a minimum time. But narrow and busy road caused for the problem.
