Awesome vegan and vegetarian options. Spicy, flavorful, good portion size, and tastes like legit Mexican food!! Love that they have refried beans and black beans. I have been missing those and good salsa, too. It’s colorful and so cute upstairs and the staff member spoke wonderful English and was so outgoing and kind that it made me happy! For vegans, they specifically asked me about cheese and sour cream when I ordered, so rest assured that you will have something delicious, filling, and vegan here. I wish we could have gone back more than once during our stay in Niigata. Make El Mirasol a top choice and let’s all eat tacos and burritos !!

The cutest, sweetest couple run this delightful Mexican restaurant, which features some of the best Mexican I’ve eaten in Japan. We were travelling through, looking for a good restaurant and saw the good reviews here. They were just closing, but our phones died. They were so sweet, they let us stay and charge our phones and eat while the shop was closed so we wouldn’t get lost without our phone gps. Definitely come for the amazing food, the home made enchiladas and burritos, but stay for the hospitality and warmth that makes it feel like home for a little while!

As a gaijin from England, this is why I came to Japan! Small venue with plenty of charm, extremely friendly and helpful staff and beautifully cooked food. I had the spicy pulled pork burrito with a side of tortilla chips. The burrito was delicious and nothing beats home-made tortilla chips. The staff members I met were also very kind and clearly full of passion for their restaurant. I wish more places could be like this!

Really great place that I liked for two big reasons: The atmosphere is really well done, especially being in Japan. I think the vibe is very reminiscent of a lot of Mexican places I've been to closer to the US-Mex border with the lawn chairs and decor, so the familiarity was nice. The food options were all great. I got the chance to go a couple times and it was all good and pretty authentic. I recommend the hot chocolate

はじめてメキシコ料理を食べました。昼行ったので、ランチコースを注文しました。ランチコースは、ワンプレートで色々ありますが、主にタコスとプリトーの2種類です。どちらも食べたかったので、プリトーのコースに単品のタコスを注文しました。サルサ(ソース)は2種類を頼んだけど、なぜか4種類全部持ってきました。 中の肉はいくつのバージョンがあるので、タコスとプリトーは全部牛肉にしました。結論はプリトーの牛肉チーズは牛肉のタコスより美味しかったです。ソースは赤のサルサロハとハラペーニョの方が美味しかったです。 でも、なれていないので、フリホーレスとメキシカンライスは苦手でした。多分、つぶあんよりこし餡好きな方なら、フリホーレスが好きになれるかもしれません。 量は普通だと思いましたけど、店員から親切で「食べ切れないなら、半サイズも大丈夫だよ」と声掛けられました。心が温かい店だと思います。店内はスペースが狭いけど、気になったら対応してくれるらしい。

Estive com amigas para o almoço. Tudo estava muito gostoso e caprichado. Fiquei impressionada com a limpeza do lugar, todo o ambiente brilhava de limpinho. A comida estava bem gostosa e autêntica, assim como o ambiente colorido remetia ao México. O preço é bem justo e acessível. O atendimento é sempre simpático realizado pela proprietária. Para comida mexicana em Niigata este é o melhor lugar.

This is hands down the best Mexican Restaurant I’ve been to in Japan. You won’t be disappointed. I highly recommend any Big Burrito because they’re delicious. For desert, get rice pudding, and the Jamaica drink is good. The owners are very nice and always enjoy chatting in Spanish or Japanese.

Have nothing to say about the food, because I walked half an hour across town to find the restaurant randomly closed, even though they’re supposedly only closed on Tuesdays and the first Monday of each month…. Clearly not true. So disappointing. Unreliable.

Amazing food! The owners are very accommodating and warmly welcome everyone. They can speak English and Spanish in addition to Japanese, and the menu has English on it as well. Their homemade tortillas are the real deal, and I also love their rice. Really you can't go wrong ordering!

初めてのメキシコ料理専門店。ランチで訪問しました。 店員さん2人で切り盛りして、明るい雰囲気でした。 ランチAセットのタコスを注文、サラダがウチワサボテン入りで初めてのサボテンでした！シャキシャキで味のクセは無く非常によかったです。ソース？とピクルスを２種類まで選べ、どれもタコスや豆の煮物にアランジを加えてくれます。肝心の味は優しめ（豆の煮物はもはや豆味）で、タコスも日本人の口に合うものでした。ごちそうさまでした！

I swear this is the only place to go to find remotely authentic Mexican food in Japan (that I've found so far) The ingredients are fresh (big plus because of the effort it takes here) and the flavors are on point. If I could eat here weekly, I would, no doubt.

Great staff and great food ! Californian born and raised I give this place 7.5 out of 10 . Pretty damn good Japan, much better then ARCO IRIS. My only complaint is, it's a little expensive, a wet burrito with a side of rice and beans is around 3000 yen.

Best mexican restaurant in Niigata! The staff were very friendly and helpful! The food is 100% delicious! They are very consistent since day one.

接客が素晴らしいので提供まで気持ちよく待てる。味は本場というよりは若い子向けにアレンジされたメキシコ料理だがそれでも旨い。シェフの丁寧な仕事を見た感じとても几帳面な方なのだろうと想像する。料理はボリュームがありコスパが良い。新潟市にここより良いメキシコ料理店があるならば知りたいくらいだ。

テキサスのメキシコ料理店に行ったときのことを思い出しました。お店の雰囲気がとても似ていてチップスが記憶のものよりも硬い感じがしたけどとても美味しかった。他の料理も満足。
