First class museum. I am an american and wanted to check out some of the culture of Guangzhou. The Oriental Museum is a spectacular display of Chinese history and art. The staff was fantastic. The time and care that has been put into this collection is evident through in the layout of the museum and exhibits. I could spend 2 full days looking at porcelain and discussing it with the curator. Make sure you get a cup of coffee in the shop. Best cup of coffee I had in southern China.

Our time at the museum was very educational. We were amazed at how well the history snd culture of China was portrayed through the porcelain displays and informative guided tour. We gained a whole new insight into the love of beauty and knowledge held by the people of China for thousands of centuries. The museum showed a desire to give visitors a look into the heart and purpose of Chinese art and culture .
